When I walk into the local Walmart I feel more like a stranger abroad because I don't understand what people are saying because they are all immigrants and refugees.\nI'm no racist, but having the government impose this on the population is such a disrespect. The health management situation was never fixed and we pour in multitudes of refugees to clog it even better. A few years ago clinics changed their way of getting an appointment because waiting rooms were overfilled with refugees! It's now so hard to get an appointment it stresses me out to no end! The silver lining in this is that I have not much more time to live. You can have the country. It's not mine. Things weren't like this in my youth!

If i compare Today's Canada with my home country Greece during crisis period(2010-2017), the wages in my country was, and still is crap but the good thing was the extremely cheap housing due to a housing crash. That helped me buy two properties. Now it's almost impossible to be a first time buyer. Now also, especially after covid, the energy cost, food cost, made even people like me who are owners struggling to cover daily costs(living in my own property and renting out the other + working overtime). I decided to move to Copenhagen, but i quickly realised that it's not much better, and i couldn't use my qualifications. Now i'm working double the average person here to be able to afford to buy a sh*tbox in a smaller city, and i cannot sell any property back home bc i will pay a huge capital gain tax as a Danish tax resident. My rental income from Greece can't help to get bigger mortgage in Denmark, but i think my income is enough for anywhere outside Cph. ...i don't want to imagine how Canadian cities, London, Australian cities are for the average renter/1st time buyer!

Its not entirely the federal governments fault. The state governments are sabotaging the country and blaming it on the feds. The world is WAY worse outside the borders than in them. It looks like they have noticed that people are frustraited. They are not responsible for all things. I lay the failures I know they are responsible for at their feet, not every failure in the world. Id say they get a B-/C+. They really came through on alot of stuff, but they could have done better. And no, im talking about for the country. Im not a single policy focus person.

It’s crazy the way people forget that Canada doesn’t end at the end of Quebec. I hate to break it to you, but there are still affordable places to live in this country, They’re just mostly not in the urban centres of Ontario, Quebec, BC or Alberta. If you actually choose to acknowledge the existence of the other six provinces, you can have a pretty good life in this country! with that being said, I also have a good friend who’s making $100k a year fresh out of university in downtown Calgary. Everyone saying salaries are too low, there are no opportunities in this country, I’m curious to know what opportunities we’ve actually lost? Just because they aren’t being afforded to you doesn’t mean they don’t exist, maybe this should spur some self-reflection. You do have to work hard to succeed after all! \n\nLife is hard, always has been. If you actually talk to your parents instead of trusting what others on the internet say, who also weren’t alive during that time, you might realize that things really aren’t that different now. Despite what the internet will tell you, a minimum wage job was not enough to afford a house and a car 40 years ago. Shockingly, a minimum wage job doesn’t pay enough to get you a house and a car now either! Crazy how that works

All help support in name of human grounds must be done by appointed goverment so they are hold acocuntabble instead of finding 1000's of NGO around world, only goverment to goverment funds support must be allowed.

None of this is a Canada only thing and it would have happened under Polivier also for most of these things are out of Government control. I am a South Asian living in Brampton for almost 40 years and I don’t like what Brampton has become. It used to be multi cultural now it seems like one culture. That’s fine but the thing I don’t like is that the new immigrants specifically from India want that or many people with the same mind set.

The analysis is kind of missing one thing. For example crime. Yes even with the increase of crime it is still relatively low. But it is the trend that matters. More and more migrants coming more and .ore businesses going bankrupt, more and more crime. In about 10 years it will become and average poophole and noone in canada feels united. I don't agree that North American cities are all ugly just like not all European cities are all that beautiful. Go to Rome, Naples Athens and you will see how dirty and run down these cities are. And no Vancouver is not nicer than Chicago.\n\n I think the mindset here in Canada especially Ontario is not the best. Everyone is all about going to work and just isolating. In Europe it's much more vibrant. People want to go out and socialize a lot more. Here it's basically work and home. The Liberal party has turned Canada into sh*thole. Canada was built on immigrants but the system has been completely overloaded and taken advantage of. Refugees are being housed in hotels wracking up hundreds of millions in costs. And the international student loophole has been completely abused. Before Canada would allow highly skilled / educated immigrants to esteemed universities. Now we let in double the students and most of them are in diploma mills which they get out of and end up taking up every unskilled labour position, pushing thousands of Canadians to the street and making it to where kids can’t even get summer jobs. And letting in this massive increase of immigrants has only made our housing situation even worse. We’re building half the homes than people we’re allowing in. The whole thing is a sh*t show

Friend lives in a small town. She was excited that there was a new Dairy Queen opening up. Figured she could get a part time job there. Nope, Indians bought the building, bought the apartments upstairs, and aren’t hiring anyone because they brought all of their own people. When is this crap going to stop? They are moving into condos now. Only a matter of time before they move their entire families into condo buildings and take the whole thing over. All rental listings on market place in greater Vancouver are Indians. Great country. What a shit hole.

The Canadian government is a very racist institution. They are openly racist against their own White population. They promote and celebrate everybody else but dump on White people. If there is a big population of a particular group immigrating to a particular country means a few things. The country who is accepting that many people must be very desperate for immigrants or, the immigrants might be desperate to leave their country b/c the standard of living in their home country must be very bad.

They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Buy some acres of land, dig up the ground, place a 1000 shipping container homeless shelters beneath the land. Build a village of transitional homes upstairs on the land. Build the homes with 3d printing construction technology. Charge below market fair rent so it can help the homeless transition to getting their life together. Land is expensive people naturally would like to profit off it. This way you can still profit off the land and have a real solution to solving homelessness. It will take a 1000 people off the street inside of shelters and clean up the street. Repeat and rinse until no more homeless. There should be underground shelters and transitional homes all over the city. The government has power and resources to do these things. Or the people need to get together start a non profit organization, pool money and do it themselves.

One thing Canadians need to understand that, yes you're having mass immigration from India but you have to examine closer that the majority of the people who are coming are from the state of Punjab hence punjabi speaking. You guys need to ask yourself why are you having such an insane rate of immigration from one state in a particular country that has 30 different states..

That’s the thing…. In Canada, you don’t have to be strategic about where you move. Most places are welcoming. We still have some racism and issues, but I know many people of different colours and cultures that have never experienced racism in Canada. We allow others to practice whatever religion you want, as long as you don’t hurt other people. We don’t unalive each other over religion or politics. To a Canadian, the United States is not a first world country. It’s where you go to lose your rights and freedoms.

I'd say that there are a fair number of conservative Canadians who wouldn't mind living in the USA, or people who are rich enough that they could steer clear of a lot of the issues. However, I think most Canadians would list a European country as their first choice if things were going bad in Canada. We also have a lot of asian-canadians who would possibly also list an asian country as their first choice since they would already know the language. But yeah, USA is definitely not a first choice for I'd say 50-75% of Canadians.

I'm originally from Canada but I've been living in the US for the past 15 years. I transited through the Vancouver airport recently and almost EVERYONE who worked there was of South Indian descent (won't generalize - but from the Indian subcontinent). It was an astounding thing to see. It's really changed since when I was younger. So interesting to see and such a contrast from Southern California. Although, if you go back 50 years, they probably said the same thing about Eastern European people.

Now the Funniest thing is , Who is asking these people to stay in Brampton, If they are bothered about seeing Indian people every where then they should be asking the Trudeau government, Not getting vexed with immigrants who make a legal entry into the country

I live in Kitchener, ON and have noticed quite an influx of East Idioms here as well. I think it is one thing to have open arms to people from other countries BUT we should take care of the born and raised Canadians that now have to compete with these people for housing, not to mention employment to a certain extent.

Brampton was nice place to live back in the day. Now it is a shithole, infested with crime, violence and everything else. Toronto has been well upon its way there for more than a decade . Notice how it’s always the educated, clean people who live in the nice neighborhoods that are always calm cool and collective, and all the people that live in low income housing areas all act like this other guy, loud obnoxious and can’t control their emotions. Controlling your emotions is the quickest way to read how developed that individual is. Because of intelligence, you never strike at everything that bothers you. That is why their success rate is always higher in life and they actually own things like boats, property, businesses etc.. and the other guy is always boring money and never pumps in a full tank.

I'm an Indian immigrant and lived in ON. I drove through Brampton once and I vowed to never go back there again. But you see this is a vicious consequence of declining birth rates in Canada. Christianity is trampled upon along with its values and principles and this is one of the results. The first thing I asked the day I landed was where were all the Canadians? Have they left the planet? \n\nA country needs people and once a certain ethnic population grows in strength and in numbers the landscape is sure to change. Besides, Canada does not demand immigrants assimilate into the culture, instead it's vice versa and it's disappointing. And when you give up Christianity, what do you expect immigrants to embrace? DEI? That's the last thing they will and continue to push their religions. \n\nBesides, what is Hindu and Pakistani? One is a religion and the other is a nationality. You may want to review that data cos something is off if it's categorized in such a manner.

The worse part is that east Indian's purchase all the businesses and then fire the white people. My 7-11 was staffed with white and philipino, than a new east indian manager took over, he would write the staff up for every little issue than fire them and now the whole staff is east indian, they never hire any other race i dont know how they get away with it. The only thing i can do is not support there businesses because they dont support the people that were here first

It was a temporary game played by whole Canadian government during CoVID - they knew average Canadians have got so much rich over the years by artificially inflated housing and with unlimited printing and distribution of money government knew people wont be showing up for work. So these temp visa was scam - where people paid to work. Now as things are settled, these people are not desired any more.

Hey I’m Canadian and I feel bad new comers coming here looking to realize a better life when the reality of that matter the things they can access and freedoms they can have will be limited. There’s a serious medical access and to find a family doctor or wait 12 hours at the hospital. Also when people are professionals like engineers or doctors they have to start from scratch that’s amazing how many doctors or other high level professionals I met as a waiter, taxi driver, working min wage in a store…Oh boy the insane proportions of the housing is ridiculous to say the least. There’s people with 9-5 making 50k at the food banks, now low income people make less wayyy less. So I think they are even turning away international students. It’s quite unfortunate and not realistic. I live in Montreal. You know to know french here Quebec french. Well the increase in crime is because people are getting desperate and are in poverty and desperate. What n unfortunate situation.
