Dear Canada, if you stop putting your nose in other country's affairs and stop following your big bully cousin, USA in meddling in evry corner of the world with the not-funny anymore DEMOCRACY, perhaps, people in Africa and middle east would leave their homeland less to move to your country; and, the Canadian people can pay less tax and keep their living standard.

Listen I feel for migrants and refugees, but it’s also not the job of other countries to take them on. Most countries are already struggling to provide for their own people. This is why I understand why leaders like Trump say he wants to send back illegal immigrants. So much resources have to provided to refugees and migrants. It’s important for people to also push back and reform their own countries. If they are seeking refuge due to circumstances beyond any control, then it’s somewhat understandable…however, many factors need to be considered before taking them on. All country’s citizens deserve the priority first. So many countries are struggling and then are expected to provide for illegal immigrants/migrants :( it’s not fair to these countries.

Wait what are you talking about right to shelter offering generous housing to anyone who asks?! Because I live in Atlanta and my son is homeless in Charlotte and he was homeless in Atlanta and all I see are homeless people lying all over the streets! I'm sure they've asked for housing but they're not getting any! What the f*** is going on!!!! So if you commit a crime by illegally crossing the border and coming here illegally you get good services and housing but people in this country some people have lost their jobs and become homeless and they cannot get help no seriously people what the f*** is going on!!

Why do people say when people are crossing either from Mexico or Canada into America, but in reality is both countries are both in America. America is a continent the United States is a country but America is actually a continent. America has a bunch of countries. It has Canada, United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, Chile, and a few other American countries so why do people in the United States and the rest of the world call the United States America, but reality is when you say America you could be talking about any other country. I like multiculturalism and this country is founded on immigration. In the end this land belongs to the indigenous people none of us. \n\nAnyways, most of my friends from Western Europe, Japan, Korea and Singapore - first world nations, have already moved back after couple of years of living here. Aa a dual citizen myself, I plan on retiring in my other country.\n\nThis country has to realize if they receive massive influx of people- they need to invest and build more infrastructure. Look at Gardiner- it's constantly on construction mode. Hire more surgeons and make better family doctor system. This government only legalized marijuana and brought more problems. We used to live near Trinity bellwood and the park is now filled with used needles. \n\nAs for homelessness, it's always been there and it got worse during economic depression (2008 mortgage crisis) and current prime rate/inflation situation. Even if you study stats from government subsidized housing, most immigrants work and get out of help but the old immigrants (whites) usually don't flip out of the situation for generations. So there is no reason to tie and blame the Indians for our old problem of homeless population. Stay on point and stop tying it down with non-related issues.

This would only make sense to me if we weren't sitting on stolen land and if the West didn't mess up other parts of the world for our benefit. Migration is not the problem. The problem is those military age men with those fancy degrees who are cowards and run away instead of building their country and make it strong, they rather get everything for free from Europe who also refuse to adapt to new culture and follow the law of the land and want Europeans to submit to them. Europe needs to send them to prison. Rather take good people who will benefit Europe with culture and knowledge.

The problem is that people don’t understand that Canada is a federation. There needs to be coordination between the federal government and the provinces. Canada lets people in, provinces provide the services. Canada doesn’t build housing, provinces and municipalities do. Canada doesn’t build schools. Canada doesn’t build hospitals. This is a federation and until people understand the country they live in, they will never solve all the challenges ahead. Just like Quebec, all provinces should negotiate with the federal government to provide immigration permits according to their needs. The more Ottawa centralises everything, the bigger the problem will become.

It’s not safer. lol. There’s still murders happening here. My ex was rapped and murdered last year. I live in Woodstock Ontario more serial killers here than the rest of the country. lol and it is compact. Most of Canadas population is in sourthen Ontario. Not many people live more then 2 hours away from border.
