Costs have gone to far average Canadians living on poverty I’m retiring soon but can’t afford to retire in my own country and must move to another country to live above the poverty level with taxes so high which will take 25% of my pensions if I move out of Canada ! Even though I will not be using in services of Canada !? I went to high school in Brampton in the early 80's and there were no people from India anywhere... it was very much a white anglo town, and then I moved to Montreal for 25 years to work as a fashion designer. (I remember the shock of flying into Toronto on business and walking outside to get a taxi... there was an endless line of Indian guys wearing Turbans, waiting by their taxis. It was a very strange feeling, as I was not sure if I was in Canada or India.) About 10 years ago, I moved back to Ontario to live in Guelph and had heard the joke about Brampton becoming 'Bramladesh' by people at the dog park, and in the past 5 years, (since they built the massive temple in Guelph) the place has turned into a mini India, as EVERY house put up for sale, is bought by a family from India, with 4 or 5 cars in a 2 car driveway, (strangely, as soon as they move into the house, they all rip out the asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) they seem to be a tribal people and every house is filled to capacity, as the husband and wife are with their kids, the brother and his wife and their parents, all living together. (They are friendly people and they don't cause any trouble... my only issue is the intense stench of spices from their house that fill the air 24/7 to the point that you cannot sit in the back yard or open a window, without being punched in the face from the powerful odour of spices!)

Why are you guys trying to target hardworking people? does anyone know the kind of benefits refugees get ? No cent has been paid in tax dollars by these people. Their rent is paid for by the government, their children's education is paid for, these guys have no clue about how to communicate in english. Students paid fees to get education here and gave exams to certify the level of english, I worked in Insurance and telecommunications sector and imagine explaining shit to these guys who are not interested in listening to how it actually works then come back and blame service reps for hiding facts. While it is their lack of comprehension of the language which is the actual problem. These people get their immigration status easily while students who arrive here pay thousands in fees and are still considered a problem ? \n\nLack of governance is not something that you can blame on the immigrants, the system has been in place for a while and it was being gamed before too, but the government sleeps at the wheel. In Nova Scotia, there has been unthinkable amount of PRs given to students, who did not go to any of the Atlantic Canada Universities, came here for just gaining PR IN FOOD SERVICE SECTOR and then leave as soon as their cards were in the mailbox, While I spent 9 years here in Nova Scotia and still cannot apply due to such constraints caused by these people who keep moving here from Ontario just because their province would not approve their PR. A business venture that originated in Europe several hundred years ago. A business venture that required employees to develop. Incentives were given to Europeans to come to Canada for this purpose. Those incentives included things like; a higher standard of living, gainful employment, the opportunity to own real estate, freedoms that didn't exist in Europe. Europeans accepted that offer. Came to Canada and built the infrastructure that currently exists in Canada. This development project is now complete. I don't know who made this decision, but it appears to have been decided that the maintenance of this project will fall to Asia going forward. We are seeing this transition unfolding. This was probably decided since those of European descent would never tolerate the authoritarian neo-feudalist dystopia that they have in mind for this country. It is now time for Europeans to return home to Europe. The job is done. I no longer recognize nor relate to this country. I feel like I am in a foreign country. There is no longer a place for me here. I plan to flee back to Europe as soon as it is financially viable to do so.

We came to Canada 17 years ago, with nothing, we were lucky, a few years later the kids were moving out, we both are self employed (skilled people from Germany) we worked like oxen, still do, we paid off our own house and soon 2 more rentals, we are close to retirement. Canada was extremely difficult at the beginning, they don't accept knowledge from other places, even if it comes from places like Germany. You got to do it the retarded Canadian way, If you're just some poor lad who works in a Hamburger factory you will stay poor for sure. There is no affordable housing, a blue collar job will keep you poor. You gotta be self employed, THATs the only way here. Winter sucks, we will soon spend our winters abroad. Canadian government is run by communist criminals, there are skilled people moving out of here, lots of them. There are druggies roaming the streets where we live, (and everywhere else) if one ever wants to break into my house I am legally not allowed to protect my family, it's a joke. A bitter one.
