The most racism I experienced in school was from teachers. Its the most profound kind of racism, because they are authority figures. The thing is when your fellow students display racism it doesn't have the same gravity as it does when your teacher does it because you know your teacher does know better but they truly believe it.In University, I actually had a teacher give a lesson that was so tinged with racism that it really broke me down, because what I've come to realize is that so many people think that being racist is saying actual racist words and don't understand that perpetuating stereotypes are the most prevalent forms of racism.  It is demoralizing because it feels like a losing battle when your teacher is perpetuating racially disparaging ideas to an entire class, and you think about how many people are going to be influenced by that idea and in turn perpetuate it. I realized that this teacher really insidiously believed what she was saying was true, but that it just wasn't politically correct to say it. The main principle of white privilege is that white people get to be individuals but people of colour get grouped together by the most base stereotype of their race.  I don't think Black-focused schools are the solution. I think more integrated schools with diverse populations of students and teachers are the solution.\n Then there are concrete issues of race, space and the law. For example when you come to realize that carding continues in Toronto, and that most residents do not care that young Black men are being harassed and treated like criminals by the police because it does not affect their community, it makes you wonder if people are only inclined to feel empathy for those who look like them.

To all the people saying why dont these immigrants stay in their county to make it better---here is a little think piece because i used to say the same thing\n\ni used to say the same thing but we are blindsighted by your american privilege. My parents are immigrants and i told them the same thing, why dont people stay to make their country better? And they flat out told me it will get you killed. Americans have no idea how coniving amd evil leaders in other countries can be. Just the other day, a dictator from eritrea was bargaining prices with Israel to send back refugees from his country. He said the refugees fleeing his regime should be given 50k to be deported from isreal because they risked their lives. You would think he really meant that right? As soon as those refugees come back hes taking that money and sending them to a forced slavery like military program. There is no such thing as human rights. So if you were in such a dire situation, dont you think you would do anything to get out? The only solution i see is if the entire world could be under a larger, strong governing force that keeps leaders in check and can withold vital resources from offenders. The UN isnt cutting it.

There are many problems with anti-immigrant rhetoric and one of them is the classification who is and who isn't an immigrant and the question of when does a person stop becoming an immigrant and become a Canadian? A significant portion of people living in Canada are first/second/third generation Canadians and so, how do we classify these people, are they immigrants or are they not? And what of their parents/grandparents who immigrated, are they? It's very important to note that without their ancestor parents, all these first/second/third gen Canadians will not be here and they are now 'Canadians' today because we had pro-immigration laws. Also, the idea of accessing services is by itself, very problematic. I spent the first 4 years of my life here paying high tuition fees as well as tax that are used to subsidize fellow Canadians' tuition fees yet I'm not able to access any government services. Following graduation, I worked as a worker on visa where my tax was no less than an average Canadian yet government services were very much inaccessible to me. It was only after I became permanent resident, that somehow everything suddenly became available to me. I have been tax paying 6-7 years before I became a PR here yet all those years, I wasn't able to access a single thing yet somehow, after I became PR, I'm eligible for everything? The tax argument doesn't make sense at all. I will be eligible to apply for citizenship in like a year and does that mean now I am one of you, Canadians?

Add these unfortunate facts in...\n\nTake a look at the amount of people that search for rental property online. NEVER enter your email or ANY other personal identifying information about you before you have stepped foot onto the property. Why? Because they will search out quite the number of things about you, and are able to do a type of brief credit report on you.\n\nThey can technically claim that there are no rentals available for you at a particular location based upon information you have supplied. If you are able to obtain a rental contract; they can adjust the amount of items such as security deposit and the amount of rent to be paid, also based upon the very information you have supplied.\n\nWant convenience? Think twice.\n\nA number of landlords offer a type of automatic monthly withdrawal for items such as monthly rent. Do not do it. The fines and penalties are considerably higher if one has done something as simple as making a mistake in ones accounting. Add to that, when one leaves the rental; one can have fees added in if the location is not left as perfect.

America is not all about war war war and guns just because we have a big military jeez! And not everyone here has a gun, there are some people that just don't like them for different reasons.\n If you come to a place like Texas yea just about everybody here has one I do, but there are still people even here that don't like um. You can't be an expert on another country by being there 100 something days. And I don't understand where everybody has this impression that all Americans are fat. Americans come in all shapes and sizes the same as everywhere els and other parts of the country are more health conscious than others. In every state you will find hundreds of gyms and plenty of muscled up fit Americans.\n As for the health care thing, I don't get it either but that was Obama momma and his stupid ideas, he was trying to destroy this country on purpose you know he's a muslim and we will never let one of those bastards sneak their way in office again. Now that Trump is in office he is trying to fix that or make it better some how. I have often wondered why can't we have a healthcare system like Canada's but America spends all of it's money on so many things in the world because of our position on the world stage we just can't work that out, thats what happens when you're the world super power.\n Most Americans have health insurance through their employer, a certain amount is taken out of our paycheck every month and if I get sick or have an emergency I pay a small co pay at the doctors office which is 35 dollars and emergency room co pay is 150 the insurance pays the rest.

O My God ! She thinks wearing her mask is honor ? She does not know why muslim women have to cover there face ? There being brain washed ! All the muslim women keep saying the same thing over and over again that they are in fear of there lives if they say something . On and on!  One woman said if she talks to a reporter her husband will kill her . On and on and on . Woman can not show there face in Saudi , speak, vote , drive , talk to a muslim man , wear make up is that Honor ? I'm telling you there stupid as drunken hill bill !

Some of these are kind of ridiculous or just coincidental.. especially the police thing. A black guy did the crime, it wouldn't make sense to receive information from witnesses about a black male, and then police only check the white males... It's basic forensics. Also, you can't just pull only 1 person from 3 different races, and call that study accurate. add a few more chinese, black and white people, and maybe it will be a bit more accurate. Personally, I judge people on the way they express their selves, the way they choose to dress and treat others. Body language is key, not colour

This might be similar, but a little different. I've been language profiled before, just for speaking my mother tongue. I'm bilingual, english is a second language to me but welsh is my first and primary language. There's a notion that that some languages are redundant, not even worth speaking or learning. \n\nSometimes being different is a good thing, but why do people mock us for being ourselves?\n\nIt's not how a person looks that counts it's the who they are as an individual that counts. \n\nQ: Get rid of the label that you pin on someone, what else do you have left?\n A: a human being, who has more in common with us than we thought. Believe it or not people are interesting. Diversity in life, cultural backgrounds & experience makes life fun! So, let's see if were able to help others in a good way, not a problematic negative one.\n\n(sorry if this turned into a rant)\n\nNadoleg Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!\n\nMerry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

You are what you eat. Do you really think muslims well get control. LMAO. Seriously They can not even get control over there. They made a mess of their own land. The only thing I see is everything gets dirty. Everyone wants to come to the North, United States and Canada. These people need to go make their own work. Canada has a 100,000.00 people out of homes . we have no room for extra. That is not including the standard homeless, and troubled young adults. Someone told me they have people starving. Children dying. So do we, they need care and parents can not afford it. Tax me for i want to help every CANADIAN. When we are home free maybe we can splurge. Sorry to all muslims. you need to go home our Country is not well. .

Probably the only thing i liked about harper. \nHe actually protected Canada from the bad type immigrants (there are good too). \nHe made a law making companies hire Canadians FIRST and if they really cant find someone they can hire immigrants. \nHe also lowered the quota of immigrants coming in every year to a reasonable amount that we can actually handle...\n... I am actually not a harper supported believe it or not and voted for Trudeau but tbh Harper does have some things right. Very few things but yea.

The thing I don't understand is that when people come to our country to live and enjoy our way of living, why can't they just follow our beliefs and not try to change them... I will never change my culture to make any immigrant feel more like home, if they don't like it then they can go back to where ever they came from... I personally don't mind immigrants, but they have to start excepting our culture and not try to change...

I don't feel angry or upset, because I've experience being followed in a store and I've worked in clothing retail and seen the actual types of people that do steal and to be honest, it doesn't matter the color of the skin or the amount of money a person have, thieves come in all different background. I've seen white women steal, I've seen black women steal, I've seen Hispanic women steal. I've seen a group of people steal, I've seen toddlers steal. What they taught me in retail is just like best buy, you have to make your presence known, but there is a difference between harassment and actually helping the customer. The sad thing is this will never go away as long as people continue to steal. and when you have minorities that do steal, it makes it hard for the other hard working minorities to catch a break.

Black people do not steal more than white people! If the only people you are watching is black and brown people of course that is the only people you will catch. I had a white friend that worked at a Walmart and she said she caught way more white people stealing than blacks but management did not call the police over half the time and let the person go. But for the black people that were caught the police was called every time. I have even seen it myself when the sales person clearly saw the makeup in this white girls pocket, I know she saw it because I silently pointed it out to her and she just walked away. This happens all the time, but white people thinks black and brown people just like to make things up.

I live in Northern Ontario, and I have never actually been to thr USA, but I know someone who moved to Milwaukee and moved back to Canada because he couldn't handle certain mentalities people had. He said it definitely wasn't everyone, but the whole gun thing freaked him out. He knew a lot of people who carried guns around regularily, and so he always felt he needed to censor himself so he didn't want to offend or make anyone angry, because of thr guns. His brother lives in California and he loves it there, but Milwaukee wasn't for him. It was an interesting conversation

I don't want people to have loyalty to a company.\n\nOr loyalty to a country.\n\nI only want people to have loyalty to improving everything that exist and making things available to all people.\n\nThat's the kind of loyalty that is needed. \n\nNo more loyalty to corporations!\nNo more loyalty to countries!\n\nLoyalty to the earth and to all the people on it!\n\nLoyalty to making the earth a far better place than it is today!\n\nThis is an allegiance I will pledge! \n\n- Jacque Fresco

There are a lot of things that we have not put into law, because they are covered by common sense. If a Muslim woman goes into a shop and makes a purchase It is reasonable for the shop keeper to want to see their face, after all a large robe can hide a lot of shop lifted goods.. We can make that law if it becomes necessary, so a person must comply with the law and not claim that their religious law is greater. Trouble with the Muslim religion is that it is a political system within a religion.. Just think of all the wrong that was done in the name of Christianity, we have learnt from that, now the Muslims have to learn the same lesson.

Muslims should be submitted to DEPROGRAMMING and the debunking this nonsense. Some guy in the desert was sent by God to tell people not to drink wine to cover their faces, chop off the head of their enemies!!?.This is nonsense. We have too much RESPECT for Religion in general.Adam and Eve talking snakes,,Noahs Arc,.Religion is ok as a tradition but taking things seriously you have to be crazy. Is religion a choice? Well if you are brainwashed as a child and told or lead to believe you will not be loved unless you are religious then it is really not a free choice.Much brainwashing has occured in Childhood so it's not a rational adult making a rational decision. It's little Hajira trying to please her disapproving religious and ofter violent Daddy underneath it all.It is NOT simply a free choice.

Anyone who follows Islam is a week minded person that cant take care of them self. Be a real human. Stand up and make your own choices. Stop following a Child molesting/ Murderer Named Muhammad. And learn to respect others. If you follow Islam. You are week. And also  an Idiot. I am so glad that I can do what ever I want and not have to pray to an Imaginary God 20 times a day, lol Ive got way more important things to do in life then to dedicate my life to a piece of shit that was born in the year 570. Islam Is EVIL. And Muhammad is the Devil, And I hope to see this Cult, And all its followers wiped out someday.

Hmm of course its a concern... must muslims are peaceful yeah.. but they wont do a damn thing while their not so peaceful brothers will feel strong enough to start forcing you to be like them. \nWhy are they growing? how about this one reason for a starter, because their spiritual leaders keeps on making great speeches on how they need to make more babies and that eventually they will take over from within, that is in arabic of course... in English you will almost always only hear about peace and love...so yeah... a small example from 1min search\nhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3240295/Imam-tells-Muslim-migrants-breed-children-Europeans-conquer-countries-vows-trample-underfoot-Allah-willing.html

Can we agree that we are all human being we should all respect each other either we are black, white or yellow and from either religions?first,  In islam,in The quran there is writted that we should respect christianity, jews.. Or we Will face muhammad(pboh) on The day of judgjment Also we shouldnt make differance between A Man black or white judging by The fact The creation of god. ive saw alot of comment here of threating islam of every kind of names and some muslim calling them morons: you should show sbar to UR feloows, its discusting sriously because of terrorist who could be SEEn as A christian jew hindu or muslim but we Forget The fact that terrorism HAS NO RELIGION, show me one Book where theyve righted to kill ppl??? See im A muslim, I have tons of multicultural friends theyve said alot of things in front of me about islam but i have explained them about MY true religion And theyve agrreed one of them converted and she wore the niqab. Niqab, hijab, burka arent A signification of autority of mans far from there islam supports women and respect them more THAn U can imagine, in the quran No men have right to Touch a women, he should respect her, women should keep their beauty only for their husbands and the mans should lower their gaze!!islam forces no one to do something because once youve read the quran and have the faith the commendmens writted arent A big deall. Everything in the quran is logical and just but the new generation ruined it all. Let me tell you brother and sisters if U see someone that is rich wont U think that their Family is rich too? Its The same thing for islam ppl saw ppl saying that they where muslim and killing ppl beating women and raping poor kids while it is Strictly banned in islam. So I blame muslim who doesnt act well to show example and too all others human who juge without knowing. And just one thing there is alot of ppl that pass themselve as muslim just by putting on A beard and by saying Allah hu akbar .Why cant we live all together why is there that much racism why cant we LOVE and do peace like islam shows and all other religion because their is one god and we all know it next it for U to judge but dont judge without knowing because they could be A girl who look mean but is kind vice versa. On that salam oualeykoum, bye and have A good day and rest of Life . \nMay Allah guide us all. May god guide us all.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

There is so much negativism associated with Islam and all Muslims get tarred with the same brush. They frighten us. Their dress is alien to us. ISIL and other groups do unspeakable things in the name of their religion. Their religion is too demanding. Christianity and other religions can adjust to scientific facts. We KNOW the world is round and there are other worlds, so far unpopulated, out there. Islam seems to demand adherence to its core beliefs written centuries ago and makes no concessions to emerging facts. Religion is the main influence in the life of Muslims and their Imams seem to have a lot to do with governance and education, instead of the separation of church and state to which we are used. If you come to Canada to live, then adjust to our values or leave, please. This doesn't mean that you have to stop attending a mosque but please discontinue the scary body coverings and start treating your women as equals, not chattels. Even some women will argue with that last bit, but why does a woman have to cover up and a man does not? This is NOT equality.

I don't mean to be rude but how is burqa a choice? Why would anyone want to dress up in a black robe covering from head to toe, except eyes and sometimes eyes too? I know it's religious thing but how can one make it a personal choice to wear it? That too women? It's ok for men, they only have so many colours in their attire to choose, but women? Seriously? I think burqa should be for Muslim men who are ok with wearing the same colour everyday (in general). I like hijab, the head scarf, it comes in so many colours and it's so pretty, hijab makes you beautiful. Not burqa or niqab.

this is propaganda to create hatred to divide human race to make Christian against Muslim, most Islamic extremist backed by US intelligence, they show bad things like Muslim as extremist backed by them self, they never show good things like Qatar Muslim county is the richest country in the world, Extremist is only 1 percent of population, can you make conclusion by seeing the 1 percent without see the 99 percent? use your brain to analyse this don't be stupid and believe everything you hear, don't be victim of manipulation, look the comment see how many people believe it how easy to manipulate people

more white guilt propaganda bullshit. Im not a racist so don't brand me one, what I want is true equality which means that I'm not going to pander to minorities for the sole reason that they are minorities. The incessant complaining about stereotypes towards blacks is ridiculous, all races have their own stereotypes. If someone saw a well dressed black person heading into an office building they wouldnt think twice but if someone saw a young black kid dressed like a gangster, smoking dope and acting shady theyre going to think suspiciously of you and there is nothing wrong with that. stop making it about race when it has a lot more to do with how you behave and act. The drive to get more black people in positions over authority for the sake of diversity is itself racist, the best person for the job is the person who should be in office if 8/10 judges are white and they are in fact the best people for the job then their should be no desire to change such things, we need to evaluate the character of a person and not their race. So much bullshit in this video it would take me hours to pick it apart.

Most places in the UK the residents do not want drinking on the streets as it leads to petty crime all the way up to violent disorder. This isnt a muslim thing, its most towns ask the councils to curb street drinking.\n\nAs for the women being harassed, the video makes it clear - the people responsible were arrested. The UK already has laws, if you experience it, report it.

It is absolutely a mindless thing to cover your entire body and face. No one cares what you look like honey. But we do want to read your facial expressions to make sure there is no danger.

Do you really think the non-whites will be crying out for more 'diversity' when there are no white people left? Do you think they will demand more white people to make things more 'diverse?'\n Expose the diversity deception today.\n 'Diversity' is a Genocidal Scam.

you are obviously too stupid or ignorant to understand the point i'm trying to make (or to understand a lot of things it seems!) so nevermind, hopefully one day you'll get it!

Whatever your point is be more mature in speaking your mind. Talk about changing policies, stopping immigration, and things that could acheive something. Not sure if you're from the UK but you should know well enough that its a country where people should have a voice, so make yours heard.

how hypocrite! dont judge about all muslims, but you can very well tell us about US attacking afghanistan or iraq and make the entire western world responsable for that. get knowledge before tellin such a bulls***! common people, even from US, have nothing to do with that, there are lobbyists, strong and very rich people, who you will never reach. but you let your frustrations to normal people. therefore you are bad! islam is a bad thing

what? you really need to start making some sense please. I don't understand a thing you just said.

The worst thing is how they make the woman responsible for men behaving primitively. No skirt, however short, can ever be an excuse for rape. Men are supposed to behave like human beings, not animals, I would think.

I agree with this! See, their is middle ground!!! Of course, I can not stop you from drinking, but you should not walk into a mosque with such things and try not to be loud/disruptive around mosques (or any other places of worship) after your done drinking. Most Muslims are like myself, but no one looks. No one looks at the Muslims doing the little good deeds that make a difference (Clothinghomeless, helping teachers, feeding orphans) the focus is always on some fringe group that causes problems

I dont agree with them walking around saying this is a Muslim area, everyone is welcome. Also I dont agree with them targetting people not making trouble, if their drinking, wearing a mini skirt or smoking weed, as long as their not harrasing or causing a nuisace, whats it got 2 do with any1? This IS NOT a Muslim country, its actually secular, but with Judeo Christian roots. This kind of coverage of muslim areas is the last thing we need. I know theres only about 10 of them in that group.
