I can agree with these comments if your not American, growing up we had all that interaction with family, friends and neighbors. Life n times have changed in America due to gun violence, especially in large cities. Socializing is different in every state in America and in every country. I can understand how if your not accustomed to our ways of life even today, that you would prefer your ways of living back in your hometown and your Country. If you live in a big City in America and moved there from a smaller town in America, you will be feeling some loneliness, that's normal to us in America. If your American then you adjust to making n meeting new people, that hasn't been so easy with the pandemic for anyone. To compare our homes in one community from another or even from another country, is just criticism. We don't have a specific way of living, as far as our homes are constructed. This is how as American's we have always lived, small homes, large homes, big cities, small towns. Since the pandemic we do find ourselves spending more time inside due to no fault of our own. We do have different ways of living but so do other countries which we do enjoy when we visit. If you want to learn more about America and our lifestyles and history, you should do that. Every Country has it's government rules n law's and we try to abide by them, that's what makes our Country n Our Nation Great, that's also why many people come here to visit or work and study. Loneliness can be anywhere, depending on the person you are and reaching out to make new friends or just acquaintances is important. Especially, if your away from friends n family from home or a different Country. ✌️

You don't understand, its called respecting your neighbours privacy. What right do YOU have to impose your music on your neighbours, what right do you have to disturb the peace and tranquillity of your neighbours. Everyone works hard during the day so surely they're entitled to peace and quiet when they get home. Remember the golden rule, do unto others as you would like done to yourself. So stop bitching about a quiet neighbourhood and enjoy the peace and quiet which THEY ARE GRCAIOUSLY PROVIDING FOR YOU.

Malaysia here. I been to Copenhagen; within 24 hours of arrival I was phoning up all airlines to change my return flight to any part of Asia, incl. BKK, HK, Taipei, Seoul, Spore, Kuala Lumpur immediately. I have been to a few countries incl. USA; to those of you who fantasize abt the west, enjoy your fantasy. As for me, I have absolutely no intention of ever going to any western nations ever again in this lifetime. My eyes are on CHINA. China is wonderfully gorgeous, perfect and affordable and it's very well governed. More than any nation on earth.

After living in Thailand, I I realize how much time People are outside more making a lively atmosphere, living more in the moment enjoying good food and friends...Same in many Latin American countries, I never was alone, certainly.

People are just too attached to their electronics now more than 20 years ago. If they stopped watching so much TV and just felt they should let their devices rest on the table a little instead of holding it all the time, they would feel the need to just watch the clouds around or the trees around you or simply enjoy fresh air even if they don't do anything

Sri lankan here, totally agree about Canada. You dont see anybody outside. You only see you neighbors once a week when they put out their garbage or shovel the snow for 9 months. Only 3 months in the summer you see few people here and there. Its very depressing, stressful, and anxious. I've been here for 30yrs and still can't get used to it. I travel.alot and many tropical places are very poor but they're happy enjoying and lively. If my country is not committing genocide and corruption, my country sri lanka is beautiful. I was hoping the country will get better, its been 30yrs and its at the worst situation presently.

When we were living in the USA for 20years ,my husband and I argued way much because of stress.Last year we moved back to Africa,we are different people now.We are stress free,we can spend 3months with no arguments,life is enjoyable now ,while in the USA I never knew that or realized that I had a great husband when we were living there. This is so true

That loneliness as you call it to me i see on the positive side it helps you to be so independent and enjoy your own company....with that you are more likely to survive in this crazy world so to me i don't mind it it has really moulded me diaspora life is for the choose few not everyone that's why many come and survive and others don't....so it's not for everyone.

I can’t agree with you more. I think they don’t trust their neighbours and also too much formality kills openness and friendship. We in India enjoy our neighbours’ company and children play and cycle outside. Also we keep visiting our neighbours’ house and exchange treats and food. \nIndians visiting the west complain about these unfriendly ways quite a lot and dread to go there.

I live in USA almost 5 years and this is the lifestyle I hate so much here. Thanks god I’m already have my plan to go back home enjoy the lifestyle I wanted before I regret why I didn’t live the lifestyle I wanted when I was a young.

This is very true . I am currently in Tanzania waiting to go back to the UK. My daughter and grandkids left on the 27thMarch the peace and the sun here in Tanzania is unmatched. We have been conditioned to think.Africa is poor blah blah it is a lie. I am.Zambian born by the way but I love Tanzania and always come to Africa via Dar then train to Zambia in first class and enjoy the adventure sleep and.eat on the train.amazing. I have lived in the UK 18years right now I am contemplating if I should even go.back. Tanzania was like C never existed left the UK in Jan 2021 am now even used to the weather going back is now a struggle to join the loneliness and kids being locked in the house. My granddaughter was very happy here now she is Just in indoors doing nothing the only time they enjoy is being at school and summer . I don't know I just need to start something small and make money here the Western life is not for us. Currently alone in Dar but there are people around me calling talking to.Mr plus the sun is shinning everyday. I'm not 100% regretful living in Canada. I managed to get a full time job even without going to College or University. The more money you make, the more taxes you are going to pay. You have many opportunities if you are not lazy. Prayers work all the time. Just enjoy what you have and not be so materialistic, you will survive if you have faith in yourself. Spend less and save for rainy days.

you should see Greece.I grew up in Canada and we moved to Greece in 1990.In Greece we enjoyed another 15 years of openness.Nowadays Greece has turned into a western nation of lonelyness and depression.We are loosing and forgeting gradually our culture and becoming more american than the average american!!

My brother, you are right. Nothing else to add. Living overseas is living the life of loneliness. But I found a solution: I worked, saved money, bought a house back home, and I am getting ready to go back with an investment to enjoy our beautiful African life. Fufu or ugali with goat meat and cabbage. Oh my goodness. Africa is so sweet. Home sweet home.

I hear you very well my brother. My only issue about this is that it seems like you came there to judge their lifestyles, and how they do things. I mean you know exactly why you relocated there and there are even good countries in Africa or outside where in which you could have stayed which would have accommodated the type of person you are. I am an introvert and I would definitely enjoy staying there because less contact with people gives me more energy and happiness. It is very vital to be prepared mentally, physically, and spiritually when you relocate to a different place. That is why doing prior research about the environment you are moving to is important. I am assuming you are temporarily just staying there, right? I mean like most of your family is back home in Africa. Then, why are you stressing yourself out?

Stop spilling your ignorance bro. How many people in Africa can afford the big architectural designs? Ask your self why people build huge fences. No society is perfect. Each has its pros & cons. Do you prefer just to enjoy warm neighborhood festered with poverty or good economic viable society & work towards getting a warmer neighborhood. as a Canadian born and bread I am sadden to hear the challenges of new comers but there are a couple pieces of advice I can offer. even Canadians have to build references at adulthood. there are ways to start out. volunteering provides not only references but a sense of contribution and and community. educators and agencies you engage with as do religious institutions and any organizations you may come evolve with for references. as far as the climate dress in\n layers, invest in sturdy boots with good tread in the colder months and to get outside and learn not only to embrace but enjoy the colder months. hike the trails. the trails year round. you can pick up a cheap pair of grippers for your boots in the sporting goods department of any Canadian tire. pick up a cheap toboggan and slide down a hill. snowshoeing after a fresh fallen snow requires endurance but very little skill. its lovely how quiet how still and silent the woods are in the winter. how bright and visible the winter landscape is at night and how lush and green the woods in summer. if in Ontario definitely visit the falls. you can find culture and history in both Montreal and Quebec especially old Quebec. most people in both are bilingual in French and English and even a word or two of French is appreciated and you can be sure of a response in English.youd also be surprised at how possible it is to communicate even with a language barrier. if you are close to Toronto, you can explore many different cultures in both neighborhoods and events. I spent 8 yrs in Toronto. I left Canada in 2005 after I got the degree and never been back here once. I hate this place so much because \nToo cold \nToo much tax \nStupid beverage culture paying extra 10% tips for meal without reason \nSlow \nteachers. does not teach. They make love with girls student . Smoke with them, racist etc in high school \nExpensive. \nBoring \nDrug every where \nCar racing every night \nPeople are fake \nCannot make money easily. Even u work hard. U pay more tax for those lazy people. \nEtc. \n\nI enjoy my home town very much

I would think about your wallet, types of activities you enjoy, political climate, year-long weather, diversity/inclusion, life stage, etc. and keep in mind that even within each province, there are different parts (cities/towns) that vary greatly e.g., rural versus urban. This is the same as ranking the US states - we will all have our opinions.

I think Quebec is most stunning. Steeped in history, great food, mountains and rivers/lakes and the ocean is magnificent. Newfoundland the most friendlest, night life unforgettable fun you won't know when to go home? the food to die for. But it's the people who are really the drawing card. Their big hearted kindnes cannot do enough for you to take care of you to ensure you enjoy your stay. You don't have much money? No problem just mention it to someone/anyone and Presto you will have a place to stay for free. Home cooked nutritious meals, a tour of the city and especially George St that has more Bars and Entertainment than people. Hugs Only.. by way of payment. Ohh yeah I forgot to say.. So proud to say I'm a Newfoundlander!!! ?

After watching this l feel very strongly happy here in Bangladesh. Rain 2 month heavily, winter not less then 18 degrees months rest enjoyable.

moved back to eastern Europe after 27 years of Canada... my best friends are Quebecois and my wife (Quebecois again) convinced me to move. The best thing I have done, especially for my kids... no waiting on family doctors, in 20 min you drop your kids to school and are at work, no over taxation, weather you can actually enjoy 365 days a year and very apparent after a while, no press/media dictatorship like the one in Canada.

I've lived 2 years in Toronto. Plusses, it's all there, sports, theatre, music, amazing restaurants. Negatives I found the people difficult to get to know, I usually felt I wasn't breathing fast enough, and no mountains. I've lived 10 years in Calgary. Plusses, people are incredibly open and friendly, mountains, energetic without being frenetic, affordable. Minuses, very cyclic economy, everything always under construction with little sense of history or culture. I was born and raised in Victoria and returned here 34 years ago. Plusses, ocean and mountains, sense of history, laid back and friendly, amazing climate. Minuses, completely unaffordable (if I hadn't bought my house over 30 years ago I couldn't afford it today). Enjoyed them all but wouldn't voluntarily leave Victoria.

Whatever, the temperature doesn't count because in literally every province and territory of Canada you enjoy -30 degrees celsius every winter ! I live in Québec and once it got from -10 to about 15 degrees in a single night ! It took 3 hours and them got a nice 25 degrees difference !

I actually don't object , particularly, to my high taxes in Canada. I do object to the fact that it took me , 15 extra working years to achieve a reasonable income due to the cost of an education being beyond my reach. Now that I have a reasonable income, I find those high taxes spent poorly. Dental care and extended medical or medications? Not covered.\n\nSo where do these high taxes go? Comparing my tax rate to the functional half of Europe's countries, it's about the same, more or less. \n\nBut they have better health care, affordable education and housing.\n\nAnd as others have pointed out, despite living in the biggest city, it's still relatively boring to many of the Major cities I've stayed in globally.\n\nI recommend Canada to immigrants who would enjoy a Rural or Suburban lifestyle that still has access to amenities and infrastructure. There are more opportunities in some ways, and the costs of living are much more affordable. But if you are interested in an urban life with what that has come to mean globally, the best Canadian cities can offer you is 'diverse restaurant options'.

Glad Saskatchewan got 6th, tbh was expecting a 7 but I didn't know the overall quality of life was so high lol. Yeah it's okay here and the diversity is nice, lots of my friends growing up were 2nd gen or 1st gen immigrants! Lovely people, I haven't really experienced much shitty people living here my whole life. I have heard many stories of people getting robbed or other stuff. I've gotten chased down a street once so that was fun. But I totally agree with your ranking and enjoyed the video a lot!!

Manitoba would be ranked top 3.... its cold? Probably no different than any other province. Rarely snows and is probably the most fun province to be in the winter. So many festivals and outdoor events. It has a NHL team to enjoy. Spring and fall is #1 in manitoba of all in Canada. Most beautiful summers and has the nicest beaches and lakes in Canada. Not 1 province can compete with summer life. So how would you rank it #10??.... they make more Hollywood films in Winnipeg than Toronto/Vancouver. Jobs? Education? Rivals any city in Canada. Thats nonsense what was said in this video. NHL abd CFL players love living here over other cdn cities so that just says it all

I think some guys here are looking the glass half-empty, look at it half-full. Learn the language, accept the culture, be positive, be humble, don't compare your country of origin, this is Canada, if you have time and resources go back to school and be grateful you got here in CA. Canada doesn't owe you anything, remember you moved here freely. Think positive and be positive.
