I was there, vancouver, around 2018 to before covid, I feel they might have gotton the welfare wrong. my salary after tax,heath insurance is 40% left to settle all my living expenses. and who benefits? eg. drug addicts wait for free drugs every morning, a women keep boring kids to get free welfare, this I heard- a refugee with 3 wives and 12 kids got at least a free house and van courtersy of the local govt, a newly minted immigrant citizen also gotten $1200 senior welfare. Just felt that normal working folks are getting a very short stick. Also not sure if the free university education is all that good, it uses a lot of tax money, but higher earnings go to labour jobs like a roofer could earn $150k vs a business admin graduate earing $60k avg .

I'm 20 and I'm doing fine in Toronto. I rent and buy food, clothes and have fun. But starting a family and having even a single child in Canada is nearly impossible. With our salaries, inflation and insane house prices young families will never be able to buy a house. Having a child in a rental sounds so miserable, living at the mercy of the landlord not knowing when they decide to kick you out. After paying for rent, bills, food and other basic stuff you have no money to invest in your child's future :( I don't want to life a pathetic life having 3-4 jobs for my kid to become a cashier with no education. Kids are very expensive here if you want them to have a decent childhood... Starting a family in Canada sounds very bad to me...

Literally in the graph you showed immigration was relatively the same under Trudeau and Harper until post-COVID\n\nThe immigration was a necessary measure taken to sustain Canada's GDP. This is why you don't see Pierre Poilievre claim that he will limit immigration because it was critical to do so for the economy\n\nWhether it was Trudeau, Harper or Poilievre as Prime Minister in the last 3 years, the government would have taken the same stance on increasing immigration. Being an Indian immigrant myself (now a citizen), this is absurd. There's rules to follow. There's 3 problems as I see:\n1) The structure of the Canadian economy - heavily dependent on services, natural resources and real estate. Due to this Education has become a business. Colleges, Universities & Diploma Mills are more than happy to admit international students who pay 3 times the normal fees. \n2) Lack of a screening process - not taking in immigrants based on skill and education.\n3) Taking in too many immigrants from 1 ethnicity & region - the Indian state of Punjab, a region suffering from drug epidemic, alcoholism and crime. Not sure why you'd want low quality immigrants. If you notice all the protestors here are Punjabis. Canadian immigration is business in Punjab. Many immigration consultants here in Canada are Punjabis and have business links back home.

@10:21, the suspects in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, being Kamalpreet Singh, Karan Brar, and Karanpreet Singh all have Punjabi names, just like the victim and a CBC article, dated May 7, 2024 stated that a Punjabi interpreter was brought in for the testimony of Karanpreet Singh, so he's certainly Punjabi. It's a stretch to imagine that Punjabis (likely Sikh) would be cooperating with the Modi government (Hindu) to assassinate Nijjar, given that the Khalistani movement base is Punjab. Does anyone else think that these 3 men in their early 20s look too old for their ages? They look to be in their mid-30s. Maybe someone, like the RCMP, should verify their identities. \n\nAs for the other murders, I'm not surprised. The gurdwara violence and rivalry has been going on for decades. There's tension between the turbaned, religious and non-turbaned, secular Sikhs, who still identify as Sikhs as a cultural identity. I don't think it is unreasonable to set aside political motivations for the murder of Nijjar to consider straight up narcissistic psychopathy as the root of the problem. I think even the foreign student protests discussed in this video show an extraordinary sense of entitlement and exploitation of PEIs student visa policies. Can someone explain to me why foreign students on visas DON'T require police record checks? That seems like a little more than just a stupid oversight, or misplaced trusts.

Go home.No one ask them to come there to begin with. Immigration is totally twisted. If you are on vacation in Canada and meet a business owner and he likes you and want to hire you full time for what ever job. Immigration will say no to that. Not the right education, not the right age. not the right what ever. The business owner will only be able to hire you for max 3 years. Then you will returned to your own country. Then the business owner can sit there and say. Whaaaat. Why can I not decide for my self. Why do you now want people from modern countries that are better than Canada in many ways ? WHY ?. To want to live in Canada , you really have to love to be there, feel at home no matter if it is better for your finances or not. Now that rents has gone up to a level where only the wealthy can pay., why do they still insist on coming, There is a difference between having a high education and waste in on a coffee job/cleaning job/taxi driver job and so forth.

I was an international Student....15 years ago. I paid about 30k in tuition A YEAR.. I was NOT allowed to work off campus, i was allowed to work ON campus for a maximum of 10 hours A WEEK...in order for me to maintain my Visa status i had to maintain a GPA over 3.5 AND i had to be enrolled in an accredited institution. Our international student department had a quota of how many students they could recruit from every country... Rent was affordable, jobs were aplenty and when it came time for an Internship companies would come do hiring fairs and fight to get students to want to work for them. Now they get about 60k applicants a year that are willing to work for free and taking away from actual citizens.\nAfter 8 years of working and grinding and stressing i earned the right to get a Permanent residence...i had to commit 3 years out of 5 to stay here and work here and pay taxes for me to become a Canadian ...it was the proudest day of my life. I was filled with a sense of achievement that has been shat on by these students. \nIf you or anyone would actually like to talk about how it should be feel free to reach out.\nI will tell you this for free...if a Canadian Citizen did this in my country .. they'd be on the first flight home.

They rent a house on my street where there are at least 8 living in a 3 bedroom home. The basement was renovated to make room there are 6 cars where the driveway is for two. They operate a car detailing business from the garage and cars are parked up and down our street. This will ruin our street and neighbourhood wake up Canada the word is out and Indians are coming here in droves.

We came to Canada 5 years ago, through Student Visa ( Masters) , wanted my kids to learn english too, the pandemic hit and borders closed. Plan was return. During pandemic we had to change our visa and got the PR and got good jobs,. Met great people and decided to stay because is nice for my children. What I have to say is: there is wayyy too many Indians, we didnt want to do any school work with them, we dont want to work with them, we dont want to live in their neighborhood. ( its weird to admit it), at this point, we dont want to go to Walmart, is just their irresponsible attitude everywhere , also descendents of India (2 and 3 generarion) that I met are shocked and upset with soo many and the elementary schools are packed full portables. There is no balance. Their culture will dominate in 100 years from now. This is how immigration works. The outcomes will be seen later and will change Canadian Culture forever.

You cant just blame federal or JT for this issue. Provisional governments are equally responsible as well. They allowed mass international students due to their (provincial) going down economy for various factors. They made false promises to students that students can get PRI in less than a year, otherwise do you think students were willing to go to these cold areas to study without any benefits? You made a promise, now its time to fulfill.\n2. International students funds the college/school by paying fee 3 times more than a Canadian one. There was no check and balance from provincial governments on school/colleges, because they liked the inflow of $$$ within their provinces.\n3. Totally agree with you that fake students should not be getting any merci. But are all the fake students from India, not really. Both the federal and provincial governments were allowing more Indian students because they wanted to have more economic ties with Indian growing economy. \n4. Punjabi (including Sikhs) is one of the best marshal races to serve in army or security agencies. Our Canadian officials never hire personals without a proper security check. \n5. Khalistan's supporters are adapting a peaceful way for their freedom land. As far they are peaceful, we should not have any issue with their struggle. Just like we do not have issues with Quebec separatists. \n6. Remember, majority of Canadians are immigrants from various part of the globe including you as well, weather you are coming from 3rd, 4th or 5th generation. Its easy to spread hate compare to love. i just wanna say.... if Canadians had wages that allowed them to have 3 or 4 babies, the country would have at least 18 years to build housing and create industry.\n\nand if we made ot possible for families to live on a single wage, we wouldn't care about 10dollar daycare. I'm brown and there are too many Indians in Brampton. Most bring their bad habits with them and have no respect for the law. Look at the people arrested in the $20 Million gold heist at Pearson airport in 2023... 95% Indian.\nDrugs and firearms coming into the country are done by truck drivers crossing the border. 95% of those drivers are Indian.\n\nThey are always looking for an easy way to get money. \nThe international students are hitting the food banks which takes away from the families that really need help.\nRooming houses are popping up everywhere. 3-bedroom houses made for single families now have 20 to 25 people living in there.\n\nOut of control.\n\nThanks Justin... @CanadianPM

Lots of truth in this video. I lived in Canada for 28 years now. I was just in Germany for a 3 month long vacation and what a difference compared to Canada. So much cheaper and better food in Germany and rents are actually affordable with cheap public transport. Weather is also a lot milder and more comfortable in winter and summer. I think Canadians don't fully realize how incredibly inflated the prices for the necessities are here. I now realize that I live in a country that is shamelessly trying to suck their people dry. Canadians are just too subdued and are just letting it happen. Every day you wait will make it that much harder to turn this around.

I have lived in Toronto for over 20 years. I love this city, but I can no longer afford to live here even with a great job and decent salary. When I received a rent increase of 10% for my 1 bedroom apartment on January 1 followed by a 3% annual salary increase shortly after that, the writing was on the wall. That gap is never going to close and things are going downhill fast from here now that I'm at a point where rent eats up more than half of my monthly earnings. The 30% rule is and has been a joke for a very long time. On top of that being mandated back to the office and forced to take the TTC which is a non-stop gong show sealed the deal. I'm leaving. I have decided to move back to Winnipeg to be closer to family, where housing is still affordable and I'll still make a better than living wage. Never thought I would find myself returning to live there, but now I'm actually looking forward to it because the downsides I used to focus on no longer exist when the high possibility of ending up homeless is removed from the equation.

Money extortion business by govt world wide and these students live like 3 or 4 in one room by greedy renters who charge expensive rents as there is no rent control acts and go in poverty and low paying slavery jobs and business uses them like a slave or get into work accident at night shifts and never get documented and work in cash and sometimes no pay cheque. Canada has become worse then 3 rd world country where people are malnourished, no money, no housing , no proper working hours and threats from employers to fire them or work like slave in factories and labour system to protect workers in favour of industrialists. I understand this is an economics channel, but saying that NO ONE wants to live in Canada because of 3 issues with the economy that most developed countries in the world are dealing w/ is kinda stupid (It's almost like most of the world is in a recession.?) A lot of this data is straight-up wrong or twisted in a way as to be really misleading. The whole video is just full of inconsistencies and is overall extremely critical of Canada to the point of making it sound like a terrible place to live. You could probably find 3 random issues with every single country in the world to make a video about, there's nothing about Canada that makes it as bad as he seems to be trying to make it out to be.

Although México isn't the greatest country, the part where i live (Near the center) is fairly safe, I've never been robbed or been involved in some cartel shit that you've heard of Mexico everyday (I'm 25 yo). The opportunity aren't the best either but aren't so bad...\nI mean, I've just finished the bachelor degree two years ago, I'm planning to buy a house with my girlfriend and making quick math we calculate it would take us about 3 - 4 years to save enough to buy one (Earning like 1200 USD monthly) taking in consideration that you can give yourself certain luxury's like hitting the road every weekend in motorcycle, visiting some places along the way, eating good food and stuff, with out sacrificing the rent or any basic necessities, then you remain with enough money for any emergency or urgent thing that comes out later.\nWatching this video makes me feel lucky of been here in Mexico even it isn't a very stable county i could say that the quality of life is fair enough (At least in the part where I am).\nSorry for you Canadian people... I hope you recover this crisis soon (I always wanted to visit that country)

The processing times is what Canada needs to seriously look at. Once that is done, immigrants won't like to move. At point your life can just come to a halt all in the name of processing on the part of Government. To renew a work permit may take between 3 and 6 months to be done. Apply for travel document and it takes forever. PR processing is the worse as it can take up to 4 years. Too much frustrations

Canada sucks. Lived here my whole life. 34 years near Toronto. Here's a list of other stuff not mentioned.\n1) terrible school system. Basically go private or subject your kids to liberal ideology and creative learning which puts math and literacy scores at a 20 year low.\n2) terrible Healthcare system. You can wait in line for 1 hour at a walk in clinic. 6 hours at emergency. There's hardly any doctors working.\n3) terrible transit. The public transit is outdated. The roads are always busy with 3 year long construction projects. They actively reduce road lanes to add in bicycle lanes, that are only uses half the year because no one rides a bicycle in -10 degree C. But yeah, we'll still plow the bike lane with tax payer $.\n4) increase in crime. More recent development but lets say it started picking up during the lockdowns in 2020. A lot of immigrants that don't give a f about the law. They don't give a f about the police. They get out on bail the next day. They do crime in broad daylight. It's insane. I don't feel safe. Plus, it's hard to own firearms in canada. You can't protect yourself.\n5) no cultural cohesion. The culture sucks. Bland, boring, fake.\n\nHonestly, stay away from Canada. The only thing it had going for it was it polite and safe. But now it's a crime spree out there. Last I heard, 55 car jacking happen everyday.

Based on the information you guys are providing, it seems like it's a simple issue of landlords in Canada trying to exploit people by preventing more housing from being built. I understand that an increase in immigrants makes the housing market more competitive, but it sounds like corrupt government officials are taking bribes from landlords to make Canada a worse place for everyone.\n\nMoreover, it's funny that he only uses Vancouver and Toronto to illustrate how expensive Canada is when there are other places to live in the country.
