First, I want to thank you for making this video. The health of a country, or the health of an individual which are clearly linked, is dependent on our ability to see ourselves and each other, and make necessary changes to improve in the areas that we lack personally, and as communities in our beautiful country of Canada and other countries as well. Well, it’s a work in progress. I appreciate how you’ve inspired us to speak about things that aren’t necessarily spoken about. At least not where I live and have lived in Canada. Thank you so much for that opportunity. It doesn’t matter about my opinion. What matters is sharing our own thoughts, feelings, and experiences because they aren’t debatable. \n\nWe are in violation of Multiple Human Rights violations against Inuit , Indigenous and Métis people by the United Nations. Most have no water to drink—not even boiled water and bottled water is available sometimes when it’s brought to reservations . Children don’t have the same access to books. So many thousands of bodies of children taken to residential schools from their parents arms and community for over 160 years yet the deep wounds aren’t given compassion by most people anymore and systemic abuse actively impacts them and therefore all of Us . We are all one whether we see people as other’ or not. We’re humans. \n They’re not seen in media unless it’s a bad story yet we’re only now teaching one mandatory class by non indigenous people. Solution: elders teach their grandchildren languages that weren’t erased by genocide and environmental /spiritual cultural practices and lifestyles before they’re gone by paying first people elders and streaming it into all Canadian classrooms so the children can see a future where they’re valued and all Canadian kids can get a full education and learn accurate history. Making canoes, baskets, sacred ceremonies, food growing (that they taught to pilgrims so they’d survive here), etc. No, I’m not indigenous. I’m an immigrant like all but the first people. They’ve an amazing culture that’s been all but lost . When we don’t see ourselves represented in any media, any careers, and start our lives in extended poverty based on our race, and all that was taken still today, it’s no wonder the teen suicide rate for indigenous youth is more than double / triple all non - indigenous youth. The numbers are growing. \nI live in Care due to my physical disabilities . An international nursing student worked for me providing personal care like showers, meal prep etc and over that year, she said she wouldn’t have moved here specifically because of a few things I’ve mentioned. She told me Canada was sold to people in her country of origin as a ‘multicultural’ safe haven without extreme racism still prevalent today and within our history. \n\nI’m ashamed of Canadian government promises for over 100 years that aren’t fulfilled. All children deserve healthy drinking Water and an education. Period. Especially, the ambassadors of this amazing land that they see as themselves without separation. That’s accurate. We will have nothing to stand upon if we don’t protect the earth. It will go on without us. \n\nI see many things in the comments I’ve seen or experienced, unfortunately. This is a beautiful country for so many reasons. It’s important that from such abundance we listen to your video, look at ourselves honestly and i feel, be the change we want to see in the world like Gandhi said.\n\nMuch love and healing from an All inclusive advocate. canadians are doing just fine. first time buyers are struggling all around the world and most likely we are moving towards build to rent globally. The house prices in Canada are jacked up because most of the population is located in just a few cities and peope with spare cash like to invest their money somewhere.

If you have skills study in india in government aided colleges finish a bachelors or masters then start to work gain experience support family and try for better jobs anywhere try to move step by step first to gulf countries make money get better exposure then try for Europe or Canada don't ask parents to take loans for education now on this digital world information and education can get from anywhere in the world

Finally the truth about this ruthless business of making money off poor kids who are sold a dream of good life and send to live a life which is actually a nightmares. I was a student in Canada and seen this first hand. Students packed in rooms and colleges cancelling semesters for new students. This is all true. Even the best colleges do that. Every Indian who wants to go to Canada take this as a warning plz. The UK is pretty much like Canada, now. There is only room for the 5% who are rich (the capitalists & rentiers) and the 35% of people on Benefits (the 35% of population who live off welfare paid for by the State using the hard-working tax payer's money). The honest, hard-working middle-class (about 50 to 60% of society) are absolutely screwed and doomed, because all they can now do is keep working their guts out till they drop dead, and never hope to have a decent life. The culture of state-funded Welfare has now gotten so bad that I now live in a street where some 30% of the people who live off Welfare have been given State funded houses, and those houses which are bigger and better than mine (all paid for using my tax money). And I have slogged my entire life (I am 65 now) to pay off a large mortgage on a house that eventually has lower value than the houses that people on Welfare are given on the same Street! Worse still, now that I am approaching the stage where I might need to go into a Care Home, my house (which I worked for my entire life to attain) will have to be sold off to pay for my Care Home costs. While my neighbours who never worked a single day in their life (and whose life was subsidized using my tax money) will again get free state-funded Care Home facility too! It utterly beggars belief. \n\nWhen state-funded Welfare gets to a point that doing an honest day's work actually penalizes you, because all you are doing is funding the lifestyles of the other half of society who wish to sponge off State Welfare (due to the high taxes the Government is forced to impose on the working middle-class to support the 35% on State benefits), then that society can never prosper, firstly because it removes the motivation to work hard, and secondly because some day the Government will run out of money to continuing funding the lavish lifestyles of people on State Welfare. And that is very much now the state of affairs in countries like Canada, the UK, and much of EU. It is an unsustainable model. \n\nBy contrast, in countries like the US, China, India, etc. there is a much greater correlation between hard work and reward. Choosing to not go to work and sponging off Governmental welfare is simply not an option. And that is precisely why countries like these will continue to prosper in the coming years - because they have some form of Meritocracy. Unfortunately, I think countries like the UK, Canada, and most western EU countries are looking at a downward spiral, and there are no easy solutions, because their Welfare model has already created these huge segments of society which depend on it and will not allow it to be demolished - but the day is fast approaching where they will all soon run out of money to continue funding it (most of these countries are already facing huge Debt-GDP ratios, and there is no conceivable way of them coming out of it).

Canada's economy is suffering from at least two diseases. The first one is real estate price inflation rendering the value of work useless and secondly it suffers from excessive government spending resulting in government debt.

I left China to avoid a brewing housing crisis and ironically I now live in Canada ?. I have seen first hand how a blind government can be overly dependent on real estate because it does generate a huge revenue in the short term. But most short sighted politicians failed to understand that the housing market is similar to the stock market, the value of houses can rise but it's just a bubble. When the bubble is so large that the hard working people who produce everything the society needs cannot even afford a roof over their head, then the shit is really about to hit the fan.

Canada doesn’t have an economy anymore: it only relies on an outdated 1970s immigration system to keep boosting its population growth by around 1% a year! The immigrants are required to bring in roughly $10k per person which quickly evaporates within the ‘economy’ as most new comers struggle to,find decent jobs in the first 1-2 years of their arrival. So the ponzi scheme continues. Why do new arrivals put up with this? Well especially after Covid, vast majority of new arrivals are from countries where the economic situation is desperate. If you see new immigrants they are dominated (immigrants plus student visas) by one country - a large democratIC country on a large continent - most are effectively desperate economic refugees but the sleepy govt’s in Canada don’t care: let social devices get stretched, no cannot find a decent family doctor in any urban area, rents keep,sky rocketing, yet just let immigrants esp from one former ‘jewel in the crown’ come in unchecked!

Firstly, CANADA is an UGLY CITY compared with MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES in EUROPE. The Coldness would get you depressed! I doubt Canada is a stable government, freely elected and least corrupt countries is the world. You might want to consider the least corrupt counties, as Christine Freeland has publicly stated the did not like what they saw, they turned off the Canadian economy when they liked what they saw, they turned it back on. Also the freely elected part, as it is known by many the the CCP helped re-elect the Liberals for a few elections, starting in 2015, I have to admit that they helped them become only a minority elected country but the NDP made them a majority. As far as a stable government, I have heard the Justin Trudeau for the first time as Prime Minister of Canada, wears a bullet proof vest and has his protection team openly carry aggressive weapons to protect him. Just a reminder. an average Canadian cannot use lethal weapons to defend themselves even in a life-threatening circumstance. Just suggesting you might want to re-evaluate your description of Canada.

It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

Homeless situation up here in Canada is incredibly out of hand. Tent cities everywhere except the upper class policed communities as per usual. They vote em in then throw em at the working class communities to deal with.\n I was out for the first time in my boat yesterday, and cruised past 2 homeless tent communities on the shoreline of Hamilton Ont. I was only on the water for an hour so I'm sure there are more.

Okay let me get to the point I understand immigrants that migrate from other places that are suffering and so on the only thing I am against once we have immigrants in this country like us and even Canada we as US citizens and in some cases the Canadian citizens we be left in the back burner while the people that are not from here they tend to get first priority which is not they get more of the services then us citizens especially when it comes to food stamps health insurance housing jobs and so on. The wage of a miner in the US is $38,000 p.a. and they have to live on site permanently. I'm sure you know all the stuff about employment conditions, healthcare and crime over there but Canada is a different proposition. Work in Oil & Gas in Canada can be good but I remember when the oil price sank and a lot of it became unprofitable, a lot of Aussies were the first to lose their jobs over there and had to come back. The cold will also be another interesting factor. Sincerely wish you the best though and that you end up somewhere where you feel happy. Who knows - it could still be Perth or somewhere in Australia.

Save your own country first …we can only do so much for others… Canada also carries a mass amount of homeless people… we are very diverse, but what about our own citizens that are dying, mentally Ill, financial loss, elders,veterans, addictions. These people need to upmost help…and are being ignored…find what is wrong and help them.. without the help cities become criminal grounds because they need their fix, they need the money and they need the help.

I will say I have been lucky in Calgary (moved to Alberta in 2011; became perm res in 2018) with my healthcare. I have a great liver specialist and family doctor as well as a backup. I just fell and cut the back of my head Monday (2 staples but nicely done; I do not feel any pain). I know that is not common for people. I think some of it is timing based on the comments. It will only get better if we quit USing it (i.e. politicizing it). As an ex-pat watching that dumpster fire, moving to Canada in 2010 (first year in YVR) was the right step for me (however, that said, being that I am plain white looking male, I know that made it so easy at least until I applied for Perm Res. Then, being a white american worked against me). Luckily, I had been involved with a Canadian citizen several years whom sponsored me for Perm Res. I really enjoy seeing your POV in your videos. Funny these stories of people flying through all these countries and the leaving the US to come here. Must be nice to have that kind of money. \n\nSo happy to see the border close. Go back to the US. Maybe I missed it, but did they change the international requirement to apply for asylum in the first safe country you enter? Most of the people entering the U.S. and Canada should be immediately returned based on just that one requirement!

I had to wait 6 years to get my wife over to Canada legally. Canada needs to fix their immigration system. Why import illegal immigrants to Canada when Canadians have to wait a very long time to get their family members to Canada ? It's because the government spends ALL of the resources on illegal immigrants that's why. I found out because my sister works for Canada's immigration, but she can't do anything about it because upper management is told by the government to help illegal immigrants first. LOL

As a Canadian moving to the U.S, I can tell you for sure that Canada is a divided country headed for economic ruin. We lose at everything, we cannot build projects without unbearable red tape, approve any energy projects or really provide any economic value at this point. Canada is the only First world country that is headed backwards towards third world country status. I love this country, it has all the raw ingredients (Great people, Fun culture, Endless resources to extract) and we still manage to fail at the federal level. As a Canadian this irks me so much. I'm surprised taxes wasn't your first point as for most immigrants that's the most shocking thing about Canada is the insane amount of taxes we pay, as for the education thing I agree with our policy for example while I was studying Architecture a Syrian lady who came as a refugee had an engineering degree in syria in order for her to work in the field she needed a Canadian degree as she was knowledgeable she flew through the courses almost impeccably on the other hand there was an Indian civil engineer but he struggled in everything except the math, he confessed to another classmate that he bought his degree and was completely clueless, he failed out in the first year... in my mind its a good way to separate the professionals from the liars

That’s strange. Canada contacts my wife and I all the time asking if we would like to move to there. We live in Ohio. They will find us a place, pay moving expenses, food and the strangest thing $1.2 million to start with. Before any of you start trolling and running your mouth due to jealousy, Yea it’s 100% legit. Reason being my wife is a pediatrician and I designed the first muscle car to run on hydrogen. We always decline.
