Canada's not the same as current PM has ruined it. Chaos will get worse before it gets better with a new leader to fix it. Immigrant's always entered through Sask because it was the easiest to get citizenship. When term was over they went West or East. There are 2 types of immigrant's today, those who want a chance for better life and adapt and those who want to destroys our values (which's' what what we're seeing today). Being born and raised in Sask doesn't feel like home anymore into today's world. East and West looks worse. I'd be happier living abroad!! Well said Ma'am. I am also looking to leave what this country has turned into. Homelessness, rampant inflation and taxes, unaffordability of food and basic necessities, it's horrible what is happening in this country. I can't afford to retire here as housing costs are insane. Health care and welfare are overtaxed to the point of being useless. And it will take decades for this country to recover....immigrants who have come here are now leaving after not being able to survive here anymore. I can't trust the Canadian people to vote to get us out of this mess...

3rd generation here, I can retire next year as long as I leave Canada. If I remain, I will work until dead because it is so very expensive and getting more so under the cult of climate change. It pains me to witness what our governments have allowed to happen in our communities. Drug abuse is rampant, mental health is staggering, youth are medicated, gender confused and climate terrified. A homeless shelter for drug addicts is being built less than a 4 minute walk from my home which is in a seniors park....we will all be victimized by theft and vandalism. We are also divided thanks to trudeau who has labelled and categorized us so deeply he ran elections based on divisions. We are no longer the kind polite people we once were. Churches burning epitomizes the moral or lack of moral ground we live and act upon. So I am moving next year to central America, Panama most likely...I can afford to retire there, never need to heat my home nor worry trudeau is going to ban my furnace and my car. It saddens me to no end for I have grandchildren, 5 generations, of investment in this country.

Canada has a very small window to turn this around . The first move is getting rid of the idiots in federal government.

Many of my friends who studied Masters here in Germany are struggling to find a job and yet they say we need skilled workers. Where are the jobs.\nFor language issue why can't you work with companies and give conditional offer to employees that in 2-3 years you have to be fluent in German and give them an opportunity to learn the language and integrate.\nBut did we see this no and yet they say we want workers..Yes you will get people obviously the world is big but not the quality one and in some time your situation will become like of France and UK.\n\nAnd though I have finished my Master and working in a company for very less salary still i regret my decision to come here leaving my well paid job in my home country was the worst mistake. \nBut now i have to find a way out from here

Uncontrolled immigration is a problem everywhere in the western world. I live in the US, supposedly one of the best, and had to fight for a long time to get into my apartment. Ignoring legal immigrants, did you know that the US government creates programs where illegal immigrants get free housing?

As an American watching this I see many parallels. Lack of affordable housing, taxation … getting started in life after university is a shock. Especially if you aren’t used to the struggle of day to day living. There is global competition for skilled labor so expect it to be challenging. \n\nAs an aside the host seems to speak perfect American. Sorry England! ?. It seems more common now that Germans don’t necessarily have an English accent like they used to. Just an observation I find interesting.

The main issue is and will be the German language. They are quite picky about it all the time. If skilled workers are getting a job which has a higher pay (higher working hours, uncertain market) in the USA, people don't mind taking it, learning a new language, high tax, kind of average salary is not going to appeal to a lot of people. Nowadays they want German language requirements for a software engineering job! People aren't open, really old and slow daily life, too much paper work, the list goes on....

This should not be legal. That's messed up. They're taking those jobs from people that actually need those jobs. It's not easy for people in South Asian middle class families to get these jobs as their English is not fluent so these jobs go to privileged and educated families. They're getting the airline blacklisted by doing this, reducing jobs for the poor in their home country. This is selfish. As someone from a 3rd world country, this is dangerous. I've heard so many cases of people ending up as slaves because some idiot conned them into doing this. Canada also needs to look into corrupted politicians getting PR cause they bought land there through money laundering schemes in the home country. And these issues have existed even before Trudeau came into power. Stop blaming just 1 person, blame the entire system.

There’s only 39 million people in that huge country. Canadians are just greedy. You need all the people you can get to develop that huge country.

I guess I’ll be having to move to the US if I want any chance of getting housing or work. People who haven’t physically seen the stuff that’s happening here only know the bare minimum. Everything is too expensive, there’s no “Canadian culture” anymore, you can’t get a job, you can’t find a decently priced apartment, rooms for rent (private) are going for 1200$ a month in Toronto (and I’ve seen more expensive). I’m not excited to grow old in the country where I was born as it’s being run straight to the ground. It’s very sad.

Here in China, housing is so expensive that many young people give up on dating and getting married. Unlike in Western countries, where immigration is often blamed for housing issues, the core problem here lies with those who already own property. These property owners deliberately inflate housing and rent prices to maintain their wealth, while the government is more than happy to see property and land prices to stay high so they can earn higher tax revenue for their own politician’s pay bonus, forcing younger generations to work under exploitative conditions to pay for the predatory rent, leaving barely enough money to afford basic essentials .

Immigration, in itself is intrinsically wrong, before we even get in to the lack of housing, schools, healthcare and the destruction of our history, traditions and national identity.

Like many other developed countries that have had uncontrolled immigration we had ended up with large numbers of immigrants ( maybe illegal) that will not accept Canada's culture or laws. Since 2014 the Greek government have been paying these illegal immigrants out of their own pocket, taxpayers money, for example an illegal immigrant gets €700 max on benefits while the Greek only gets €400… people are fed up of these leaches

Statistics show that half of the new immigrants in the photo op at the end will have voluntarily left Canada within the next 5 -10 years. Many to the US, and most of the rest back to their home countries, as they will find that Canada is not a place to come to to get ahead. Canada is over-hyped for sure. I know, I came to Canada and then left after 10 years to the US, where opportunities are far, far better. Save yourselves a decade of wasted time and come to the US straight away.

I think Manitoba is the cheapest place to live. Atlantic Canada, houses might sound cheap but most of them very old. To get job also is difficult. More tax and less per hour salary in New Brunswick. But good only for seniors, who retired after working in Ontario or BC or other cities.
