I work 12 hr a day 5 days a week to pay $4000 plus utilities in so cal not including rest of the bills ! Sad reality is that the wage isn’t keeping up with inflation and most young American’s can’t afford to move out and live a comfortable life. I can’t imagine coming to this country with nothing trying to live the “American dream”

It will not be a bad idea if they serve in the army and U.S. can give them like asylum or something like that. Like imagine putting those people before the actual young Americans first line in war. While driving to Alaska I picked up a crying ww who was stranded about 20 miles away from home. She seemed to be a nice lady until we went over a hill and was immediately passed by a police officer going in the opposite direction. He looked at me (in a new white firebird) then at her and put on his lights. I warned her the police will turn around and stop us because he saw her. She didn’t believe me so I instructed her to simply observe. We both looked at the speedometer, 61! He turned around and came up behind us. I pulled over and he walked to the drivers window and asked HER if she was ok? She stated yes. He rudely asked for my license and registration and stating I was doing 70 in a 60. She attempted to defend me but he ordered her to be quiet. Her mouth dropped. I informed him I was at 60 but didn’t know the road would drop. He wrote me a ticket. I scribbled my name, he tore the ticket off the pad and threw it in the car. Asked her if she’s sure she was ok? She said yes and he walked away. She was clearly saddened and offered me dinner once she got home. She kept apologizing and I stated we live this way everyday and I’m use to it. Thanks for the offer but I’m on my way to work. At least he didn’t take my car. She started crying. I informed her she didn’t do it so not to worry, just learn from the experience. I left Canada and later was notified at my address in California I had a warrant for an unpaid speeding ticket, then later notified I was banned from Canada for carrying an illegal firearm. I imagined what could’ve happened if I was alone. Stay out of Canada! The system seems to be the same as America.

This hits close to home. In January 2022, during a fourth pandemic lockdown with home prices reaching astronomical numbers. I decided to give up and start the process of working in the US. As a nurse in Ontario, I was making $1000CA/wk after taxes. In California, my current take home pay after taxes is $3200US/wk. I could never imagine going back now

If they do this to illegally get in the country imagine what they will do once they’re here smh

Imagine if this many Americans tried to rush another country's border depending on what country we would potentially get gunned down and it would be seen as invading a country and possibly an act of war depending on if it was this many Americans entering like this. Or would they put us in shelters and feed us?

As a Venezuelan who migrated and still travels in the proper ways I can surely say many there want true help. Venezuela is insane compared to what you people even live whit, best work you can get there will make you up to 90-120 bucks a month, no food in supermarkets, some insanely expensive which will make you choose between buy bread or tuna and rice for a whole month ( imagine not being able to eat your favorite meats or prefered food FOR MONTHS, EVEN SOME YEARS) , if you are a professional or educated of course the opportunity grows up but not in a socialist country. as we know you can be a socialist in a capitalist system but not the opposite and this is a fact. Those people are genuinely scared with no home back in their country as for many houses and private properties have been removed with force, some of you sure will be wondering how or why not to follow the main curse to migrate? I had to spend 3 days sleeping on a huge queue with many other people also sleeping in the streets to get our passport(that's was the easy part, 4 years to get the date to finally get that fucker passport.), something so simply done in other countries which such ease, not to mention the whole cost for a passport (I knew people who paid aroundn 700usd to get it asap). \n\nPlease don't pitty these people nor hate on any inmigrants, some families there really wish for a future, and again as someone who had the opportunity to do my papers. We do not wish this upon no body. The pain in the hunger, the fact the money from your country is so little valued that even video game money has way more worth.\n\nIt's a very scary place which we are trying to genuinely scape from.\n\nHopefully for my brothers and sisters from the states try to understand, hopefully these people at some point will need to understand that doing things out of fear will not get them far. Again a very very scary situation.

Most of these Venezuelans don't even have idea how capitalist job market works. They watched too many movies thinking that will be their life. \nThese uneducated people will rot on the streets as homeless, lose custody of their children or become habitual criminals. If even Mexicans struggle despite being used to a competitive market imagine these people.

Imagine the gymnastics needed to claim sanctuary after passing through ten other countries.

This is sad. This world is sad. I can only imagine if that were me and my children.
