Canada is still thousands times better than india where there is rights , freedom and respect indians are missing these things in their homeland

I am a Canadian and I have seen the sharp decline of Canada over the past decade which makes me very sad. According to many 'experts' they paint a dire picture of the nations future as the rate of inflation spirals out of control and we are buried beneath a mountain of debt. On the ground level, homelessness is an epidemic that the powers that should not be seem to want to sweep under the rug, while they race bait and spout off about woke ideology. They are more worried about transgender rights and castrating children while with anyone with eyes to see are witnessing the very breakdown of their society around them, people are dying in the streets from fentanyl overdose. My wife volunteered at our old church which catored to the homeless and I have known many that are no longer with us, nobody wants to acknowledge it because they do not want to face the fact that they are fellow human beings. In the end no one is better than any one else, it is all vanity.?\nIt would seem like we are run by lunatics with severe cognitive dissonance by the fact that we have mass immigration while are own \npopulation is suffering, I admit that mental health and addictions are potent variables that constitute the crisis, I am not niave to those facts. I myself have had long term Sobriety. But it is odd that only a decade ago, homelessness /addiction were problems confined to major cities like Vancouver and Toronto, and now we have tent cities in almost every town with a population of more than 20 thousand people. It would seem like utter stupidity to keep pouring water into a bucket that is overflowing. I suspect that their is an agenda and the destruction of our nation is a part of it, it is a well known fact that the Trudeau government is in bed with Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum. I don't care if you call me a racist, that is a luxury for those who live in gated communities, who create the problem and want to muddy the waters. These elites like to accuse others of what they are guilty of, they are anti human bigots, eugenicists who are ideologically captured, any one who bandies the around words like racist and homophobia, Islamophobia etc. are either those operating with an agenda or a useful idiot.

I'm a born and raised Canadian, and jobs that I was previously able to live off of 2 years ago I am now on the brink of homelessness every single month of rent. Working those same jobs everyday in the lowest rent apartment I can find. I do 10 hour shifts most days retail and spending more than 50 dollars a month on food bounces my rent and negatives my account which makes me pay more fees on top of it. I cant afford a car, or anything for transportation. The wage I'm making now was the perfect amount for me 2 years ago to live comfortably by my standards. Now I'm going to be a homeless 24 year old Canadian that works their ass off every day and can't seem to find a better paying job regardless of how much I put myself out there... In the last 2 months I have lost a total of 16lbs because I can only eat so much on my budget. I am a hard working Canadian that just wants the luxury of being able to not stress about these things because I work so hard. But that seems to not matter.

As a Canadian living in rural area... Canada is f'd. 10 years ago I was able to afford a new car and rent on minimum wage, and take vacation! My car is paid off and I have a better job and Im struggling to keep afloat and I make decent money. Its so depressing.

I was really lucky to visit Toronto in 2000-2002 and practice some Portuguese and Italian. The first time, I came by train from Chicago and arrived at 1 AM. I was scared as I waited for the trolley on Dundas St. But to my surprise there was a young lady enjoying the late night and she even talked to me (something that wouldn't happen in Southern CA). I discovered that if was safe to walk until 2 AM in Toronto. It was really pleasant to explore Little Portugal, Chinatown and other neighborhoods. I remember that it hit the 30s with some humidity, but the reward was taking a bus to Niagara Falls at 50% off for being a student. However, I was sad to discover that the old transportation is gone, and prices have skyrocketed (food and hotels). It's not just Covid-19, but the corruption of thousands of politicians in NorthAmerica that have started wars and the flow of drugs and people. I would never think that Canada could change so drastically. But I still think that Toronto could be enjoyable ( what I really didn't like was the subway, since the stations are far away from important sites as opposed to Montréal that is so convenient). I still remember how Pearson airport was enjoyable to walk. But to see encampments like LA, SD or SF in Toronto is really sad. Hopefully, in the near future it gets cleaned up. You can't destroy what took decades to build and admire in a few years. Safety is always a concern in 2024, but Toronto is much better than CA.

95% of us are either immigrants or descended from immigrants, aka people who bailed on their situation for greener pastures. Is it any surprise now that times are getting rough most people want to just leave instead of sticking it out and trying to make our country better? We are pathetic, blaming politicians and immigrants for all of our problems instead of trying to do literally anything to improve things ourselves, Im really ashamed of us all

Voting conservative is not going to make this country any better. Probably worse. Are the cpp going to tackle the housing problem? Cut back on immigration? Cut back on corporate influence? This country gets what it deserves. I am also an immigrant and work on business intelligence. Have a degree and pay my taxes yet having pr is extremely difficult. Literally people without education who come as refugees or students get way better treated and advantages. However if you are a professional trying to work here you will have a hard time.

It's simple rent is higher than what you earn working. What's the point of working if you're always going to be short money at the end of each month? Even welfare is a better solution.

Yes I am going to leave Canada after 26 years, Canada was better before but now it is going expensive for everything from accommodation, taxes, foods traveling and Job ( not easy at all)

Canada born and raised here, I've recently been searching for opportunities in Europe and planning to permanently leave this country once I land a job. While I enjoyed growing up here in the late 80s to 2010s, Canada just struggles in almost all crucial aspects of a successful growing country. Our healthcare is a joke, our housing crisis is a mess, living costs and wages are terrible. I really do hope it does get better for Canada but my future lies elsewhere.

I thought we were better than America but it turns out the average Canadian would rather blame brown people for the sky rocketing costs of living instead of the greedy landlords and corporations gouging the everyday citizen.

I agree with the person who commenced at the 8-minute and 20th-second. Some Indians are in Canada, not to study, but to gain permanent residency. Indians look at the dollar, which is superior to the Indian rupee. The dollar attracts Indians to work and live in Canada so they can live a better life than in India. However, some Indians should acknowledge and respect that they are in Canada for a particular time and must leave once that time is over. Another thing is that some of these Indians do not adapt to the Canadian culture; instead, some disrespect it and take advantage of the loopholes in the Canadian system.

use to work 8 hours a day here and i was able to afford life, in now working 10-12 hour shifts and i hardly afford bills, i don’t even know what a vacation is , my only vacation i ever had in this Country was in 2015 when i went to mexico for a week. it’s just work work pay bills and work , that’s how most people live in this Country, it’s almost better not work in canada and make 8-10 kids and live of those benefits ..:: it’s what most immigrants do at least they have time for themselves

Immigration is a good thing when laws are followed and processes are adhered to. The influx of people over the last few years of liberals opening the flood gates has proven that Canada ca NOT handle this influx and it is going to get worse before it gets better. I think, by rights, the government needs to take a step back and start overhauling the student visa program that has been reported as ongoing through fraudulent activity. I am shocked that, a government that literally doubled its manpower since 2015 is incapable of monitoring and better processing immigrants.

As a Canadian, I feel we need people to leave Canada so I can have a better life. I agree that the government completely mismanaged immigration and its impact.

I'll be honest while writing this! Being Indian i feel ashamed nowadays bcoz of Trudeau's love affair for Khalistani's. When i came here 6 years it was way better but in last 2-3 years Trudeau has literally dumped whole Punjab into Canada without any screening. This people from my own country don't speak English, don't wanna dress in a civil way, don't wanna act civil, shove their religious thoughts on everyone and feel as if they own everything. They have little to none concept of living in society. US is about the only country in the developed world (and maybe world in general) where you can go bankrupt or lose your life despite having a good job, nest egg and even health insurance. And this is before Republicans take over all 3 branches and get rid of Medicare and Social security. And the notion our healthcare system is so much better is just false. 3 years post graduate work permit is the longest you can get as international students. If you can not get PR during these three years, which means you are not eligible to become PR at least thought Experience Class. You can always improve your EE score by getting a higher education, or better English or/and French proficiency. You guys were in this game in the first place, you have to follow the rules.
