As a Canadian - the immigration tom-foolery that is happening is just as bad up here. Our Prime Minister is a handsome idiot, he was a drama teacher before he became Prime Minister (I know, make that one make sense). He has no idea what he's doing, he's being used as a puppet for more experienced extortionists-erm-politicians. With the help of his party members and a coalition with another party, in less than ten years he has taken Canada from a great place to visit and live to basically what's happening in NY. Crime in our cities has gone up dramatically. Theft is on the rise. Homelessness and drug use is through the roof. Immigration is out of control. And our government also prioritizes immigrants and asylum seekers before born and raised Canadian citizens. As a Canadian who is tired of the nonsense that's been happening in the world this past decade, I wish our government would put on their big boy pants and do something about this uncontrolled immigration. Things are bad here too. Our government seems to keep changing policies and laws to further accomodate the insanity that is happening, I promise, not every Canadian wants these changes to happen. We are just as sick and tired of all this nonsense as our American cousins. I wouldn't be surprised if both countries at some point united in objective and worked together to fix this problem - but that's not gonna happen anytime soon as long as these dummies are in power. But believe me, the regular people of Canada see what you're going through because it's also happening in our own back yard. I experienced seeing some migrants going from that Plattsburgh gas station on that bus line this year. I didn't think about it cause there's such a large int'l population in Montreal. But looking back, it was a little weird seeing foreigners waiting for a bus in a smaller city across the border. ? And Canada's visa/permit offices are a joke. Visitors and migrants get their asap but people waiting for a work permit have to wait at least 6 months or a year, even for US citizens

I’m in Canada for 2 years now and I’m returning back home . \n\nI will not tell anyone not to come, diaspora can transform your mindset for good. I dint struggle getting a job. I did a customer service job and an admin assistant job. \n\nHowever, this system is a dangerous. It’s a system whose work is to put you in debt, through the famous credit score. If you put yourself in this system, kurudi home itakuwa ngumu. You are also just one paycheck away from being homeless. \n\nCost of living is overly high. You work for bills. Some people get subsidized housing, but those housing are not the best places you would want to live. Mostly in poor neighborhoods and neglected. \n\nI came here and took myself back to school. One of the programs I did was an eye opener Leaderahip program. It gave me a glimpse of who I am and what potential I carry. And boom, I realized this is not my place. My life is not just about working and paying bills, it’s more. And this more can only grow home. Otherwise I will keep working with slow growth in employment, and come back home when I can’t live my full potential \n\n\nIf you have to, leave, come to Canada. Exposure is worthwhile. Make sure you take a technical course, avoid debts. Go back home and grow with your country. \n\nKenya is our Canaan.

Your observation of Asian migration is mirrored here too. It changes everything about your day to day and long term experiences and life chances. All life hs about creation and sharing of resource. Nobody speaks the same language safety at work compromised. I become excluded from planning risk assessments and u become other’d. Work practices and standards are different. Rules at the work place , different. Their religious rights alters the shared experience but allows for bad prsctice. Walking around talking on your phone all day is dangerous, exclusive, un professional discourteous and isolating. Safety gear ppe all different rules too. We are living in parallel realities. Its all short term and oppositional. Used to be called unworkable ! Thecommunity becomes Asian. Rules at council level alter bemteeen racial cultural preference. Parking on pavements before migration: dangerous, illegal, banned, fines penalties car removal. Where I live (Asian community) cars parked with Asian wardens waving the others by and creating traffic chaos, blocked un passable walk ways and pavements it breaks all the rules we were fined for, but a new norm without question in this community. Its isolating and disorientating but hey, its the new way. I think India has a lot to offer the world . And we have had a lot of it arrive , too much, according to many. This without anyone asking, discussing, debating, informing, admitting to the native populous. Its polite if nothing else, to respect the customs and the hosts of the place u arrive. Reality — these migrants bring their whole culture, family, friend group, political beliefs, problems and traditions with them.
