It was interesting hearing Alina's comments and reading the comments, because I recently visited with a Canadian family at a neighborhood function who moved here from the Toronto area, and they feel more at home here (Bentonville, Arkansas, home of Walmart) than they did in their actual home in Canada. They essentially said that Canada was awesome growing up but has changed so much that they felt they had to leave. I know we are seeing some of the same changes in parts of the US, particularly the areas that mirror Canada politically, but hopefully we will avoid those changes here. We cannot take all 30+ million Canadians, but based on my interactions with this family, if most other Canadians are like them, they would be more than welcome here.

My family goes back so many generations in Canada. I left for 15 years and was forced back during Covid. I am thinking omg ..what has happened to my country. .? I hear what you’re saying and I feel it too. I am sure I will leave again soon and hopefully for good …such a sad thing for me to say but it’s the truth .

You're a strong, brave and intelligent young woman. Well done for your decision. \nI'm going to say it - Canada is morally, ethically, politically and financially bankrupt. I left 15 years ago and have never any intention of returning, except perhaps in a box, tbd. This is what years of woke liberalism, bordering on socialism, does to a once thriving country that was safe, full of opportunity and prosperous. The last straw for me was my hometown decided to erase history. I don't recognize it anymore and I don't care. \nMs Alina, you will have plenty of opportunity and a better life, elsewhere. You're a digital nomad and there are plenty of countries that will welcome you with open arms and a visa/residence permit. Good luck and in the meantime I will keep tuning in.

I've been here (Canada) all of my life, and I would not want to live anywhere else on this planet. Everywhere has its pluses and minuses, and things will eventually turn around. As for you, this is great, you're young, the nature/definition of work has drastically changed since I was your age, so yes, I whole heartly agree, go out and make your mark, explore and enjoy what the world has to offer.

Canada is a dead country, and we killed it. At least you can leave. Some of us can't.

So sad to see, can remember Canada was the place most wants to emigrate to, democracy has failed spectacularly and there is nothing the normal folks can do about it, the ones with capitol now controls the political parties and MEDIA. The citizens only get pre selected candidates to vote for and they don't have your interest at heart.

Is it possible the world in general has become a less enjoyable place to live in? Climatic changes, the rich getting richer, the poor getting poorer, governments not able to cope because they just don’t have the resources anymore, right wing movements popping up everywhere, democracy being challenged … the list goes on and on. But you know what? I would still pick Canada over most countries in the world. Just saying. Nevertheless Alina … goog luck to you in your endeavours and choosing a new country. Hope it all works out for you.❤

Try London England, you’ll find it’s 3-4 times more expensive than Toronto. Or try living in Congo or Palestine, it’s a lot safer than Canada. \n\nSeeing fellow Canadians complain like babies when we have it so good compared to other places makes me EMBARRASSED. Life in Canada isn’t that bad! The cost of food is the same as England £4.50 for strawberries ($8.00), £3.00 ($6) for milk, and £5.50 ($9) for cheese but gas £2.90/L ($4.10/Litr) way more costly in England. It seems like it’s mostly Canadians who ONLY know Canada and immigrants who expected life to be magically easy and handed to them… ? ?‍♂️ I had to learn to be grateful living outside of Canada, the whole world is facing inflation right now! Europe and North America. But Canada isn’t as bad as many places. But then again, I’m not a quitter. The best way to survive is getting a good education and a stable and high in demand career. Nurse, doctor, teacher, lawyer, dentist, psychiatrist, etc etc. Then you will find you might complain a bit less ?

You can run if you want but Canada will be a wonderful place to live once the corrupt government is removed. Politicians will be held accountable for what they did to the country, no doubt.
2024-08-14 0
So let me get this story straight, you love Canada, but you are not willing to take a stand against the government for a country you believe in and you’re not willing to fight for ? Personally I think Canada is better off without you
2024-08-14 0
I'm in LatAm and I can say that the difference in quality of life compared to Canada is getting smaller and smaller very fast. Not because it's getting better here. It's Canada getting worse. Anyway, life here is way cheaper, simpler and more fun. And pretty safe if you are not in big cities.\nGood luck, Alina. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

At this point, Canada and anybody, including the drivers who bring those illegals over here, are America's enemy.

You enriched Canada with your presence and you will be missed. Good luck in whatever decision you make for the future.

Good move, Canada is totalitarian country getting too difficult for normal people to live. Trudeau and its party made Canada unlivable.

Hi Alina, well done on your decision. This is not an easy thing to do. As well as Canada, i have lived in the uk and Greece. I don't want to make things harder for you but i want to warn you that the grass is never greener on the other side. I am very disappointed with Canada to be honest. My wife and i are moving from Alberta to New Brunswick next week in search of a quieter, calmer, cheaper life. Let's see what happens. I completely agree with all of your points. I could easily get political but i won't. Suffice to say, keep doing what you love. Screw the system that is forced on us. We work for no return. Work doesn't pay anymore. Focus on what fills you up no matter where!

It's incredible how people around the world, seem to forget that most countries had shut down for two years during the pandemic, costing countries billions, the issue is the grocery chains, the ongoing confict with Ukraine and Russia, among other countries, crime has spiked, I put part of the blame on the legal system, I do hope you will stay in Canada, beats the USA, which is headed into unknown direction, Canada has very little earthquakes, volcano eruptions, typhoon, hurricanes, although Canada has had the coldest winter on the planet, we as Canadians are in most part caring countries, I also put the blame on the premiers taking money from the federal government and investing in cons, our prime minister has faults, he takes the blame for most issues in Canada, but, he better than the alternative, not sure which country you are thinking about moving to, but take in consideration of the pros and cons of your potential move, the cost of living, health care, job, vehicles, rent, wage, best of luck in your future endeavours

Because cultures that are incompatible with the traditional culture for the last century or so are coming in numbers that will eventually swamp that traditional culture. Once that happens, western cultures like Canada turn into the same poverty stricken dictatorship disaster just like the countries they came from. Which is the goal of WEF criminal terrorist organizations.

Hi Anna. Sorry to hear that.? Canada is like a home to you. Hope you’re doing ok. Sending hugs and love to you.❤️?

Comment: Better Politicians and Mayors need to be elected in Canada, so the country moves forward on many levels. 2024

Same problem like in Canada, high inflation, housing shortage due to mass immigration, high taxes, bad school system and healthcare.
2024-08-13 0
This world is doomed. Canada is becoming the land of no Canadian and it is happening across the world.

I came to this country with a very selective immigration program and I chose Canada because of this. And my surprise is that now they come only by paying for their studies and these people do not have the financial capacity to support themselves and they are a tragedy for their families and themselves. And they are given jobs that belong to Canadians and health care is paid for by our taxes.
2024-08-13 3
I haven't been to Canada, so I wonder why there is a housing problem in such a huge country.
2024-08-13 0
We are facing similar issues here in NZ. Our current prime minister is pushing those who are on Welfare to seek and find work, but here in our country, is where are the jobs to get people into work?? There are businesses at present and we are in a Recession, but businesses are closing because there isn't people to fill those positions?? Just wondering if Canada are facing these issues too???\n\nMatt
2024-08-13 0
Canada is racist this entire time of course
2024-08-13 50
Canada needs to control this issue. I'm from Japan and moved to Canada, even I feel like they must control it.

Its a slippery slope once you open that door, look at us in canada with the chaos that is the temporary worker program.
2024-08-13 0
It's the Gov't, the weak, non-enforcing Gov't of Canada. I reflect back to highschool, we had teachers we knew we could push..... goof off and talk back to and then there were teachers, everyone knew, don't mess with, that had a zero tolerance policy. Our country is obviously the 1st example, you'll never see this happen in China, anyone/everyone that goes there knows, don't try and play the system, don't push or they will push back....AS IT SHOULD BE.

They have destroyed Canada and now it's time for the USA ... 0:32

Blame it to the government. Immigrants have to spend so much to move to Canada via Canada’s rigorous campaign to invite immigrants.
2024-08-12 0
I love Canada
2024-08-12 0
Legal Immigration is Canada's business.
2024-08-12 0
Who is reall canadian and how do they look like? Since whe europians became native to canada?
2024-08-12 0
Goddd I wish Canada would crack down on immigration. We are begging for that up here but our leaders don’t give a f*ck… I hope this can be a reason for change in policy.
2024-08-12 0
Trudeau and freeland ruined Canada
2024-08-12 0
Housing for those that built Canada over the past few decades.
2024-08-12 0
Because they don't want Canada to become like the U.S. and Great Britain. Multiculturalism breeds social problems.
2024-08-12 0
I think people are missing the big picture. Canada does not want private citizens to be property owners, and especially not landlords who are earning income from property ownership. The struggle around landlord rights is specifically targeted to discourage property investment. As Canada does so well, the punishment is the process. This will not change regardless of how many 5min news bites are published.
2024-08-12 0
canada was 80% white in 1980, so no, its not always who theyve been
2024-08-11 0
It's not even that it's just Immigration, but it's only immigrants from 2 countries. Canada needs a cap on immigrants from each country. All these immigrants but I have never met a person from Spain? Never met a person from Brazil either. Even with immigration nobody integrates. They talk all about diversity but everything is like a Clique. The russians only hang out with other russians. The Koreans only hang out with other koreans etc.
2024-08-11 0
Canada is broken ??
2024-08-11 0
But all the people at least from India are just going to Canada to try to come to the US
2024-08-11 0
Yes, it’s time to take back Canada enough is enough No more immigrants ?
2024-08-11 0
Immigration is a big problem in Canada. They all come here to live like kings with the help of government funding, incentives and subsidy’s. While Canadian citizens are suffering. Imagine how we would be treated going over to the western country’s.
2024-08-11 0
This should not be right because why are we not OK? I understand different parts of the world has things I’m born Canadian as far as my family and millennia and Canada were third generation here in Canada with Caribbean European and American descent all that being said I don’t care how people comes to Canada ?? but we should get the best of the best and I feel like Since they have a job since I work with the airline, why can’t they just apply for a transfer? Why can’t they why everybody else has to have a passport to travel? Why can’t they? Why can’t they have a passport? Why should they be or have a passport stuff like that I’m just saying, why would they abandon your job and you can transfer your job or get you know I don’t know I’m just to me. I don’t think it’s right I don’t think it’s right because, is there enough job for people who already live here housing stuff all these kind of things people do not think about
2024-08-11 0
They came here with a higher degrees. This peoples can drive Canada to a brighter future.

Immigration is crazy in canada i live in a small town where east indians have taken over most businesses and only hire their own family leaving almost no jobs. Cant even afford to go through school for a better job cause I cant aford anything. Fuck you Justin.
2024-08-11 0
Not just Canada. A lot of European countries just want to be left alone in their home country.
2024-08-11 0
Just my 2 cents here. I know its anecdotal, but i feel like its probably the norm.\n\nI lived in Canada my whole life, i visited the states and lived there for a few months for a job.\n\nThe amount of violence, gun or otherwise, is night and day. In the U.S. you could have a gun pulled on you in a grocery strore, on the highway, in the park, at the bar...\n\nIn canada, you could walk an entire city, late at night, completely alone, and the odds of someone hurting you in anyway at all is like single digit %. In the U.S, you arent making it 2 blocks without trouble.\n\nIt is mind boggling how dangerous it feels to just be in the states then it does in Canada. Until you have experienced both, you just cant understand how wildly different just this 1 aspect is.
