Good video my brother lives in Vancouver ?

Canada has a very high cost of living. In Toronto or Vancouver,$1800/month rent for an average apartment, houses are at least $750,000 in a decent area. Cellphone and internet rates are among highest in world. Groceries and alcohol are expensive compared to US and UK. Extreme cold weather 5 months a year even in southern cities like Toronto. Spotty transit service compared to European and Asian cities. Much of the country is undeveloped because of extreme weather. Most Canadians live within 60 miles of the USA border.\n\nAdvantages of Canada : it is reasonably rich and technologically advanced. Free and democratic although not like the USA. Lots of open space outside large cities. And very quiet , peaceful but uneventful country.

There are some places in North Vancouver that have been allowed to drink alcohol. Recent by law.

I just subscribed to your channel and I’m completely fascinated! Thank you so much for sharing the information and your personal thoughts about living in Canada! I’m moving to Vancouver in 4 months to study and work as well, so this has been pretty useful for me! ??❤️

I think it’s easier for Mexicans than Central Americans. In the US it’s easier for Central Americans, that’s why they are pouring in. \nI know plenty of Mexicans that went to Canada from the US or Mexico and it’s all great. Well, the cold bit so much, that’s what they say. I just visited some a family in Vancouver and another one in Quebec

I find myself into a controversy right now, I was moving to Sydney before the pandemic but with quarantine and everything my visa got stuck for several months, so I decided I wanted to move to Vancouver, and I got into a college(UCW) but now I just got my visa approved for Australia just when I was going to apply to Canadá for a visa, so I will have to decided if cancel my Australian visa and lose the money or wait for them to open borders which not seems very likely rn. Haha

Hear that Vancouver is more castlier than other cities of Canada?

I am currently working in Munich. Started working 3 months back there. I am in Devops but I do not like the work. The salary is also low. I have got another offer from Surrey, the job profile is good. Salary is also fine. I am planning to live in Vancouver and travel to Surrey for work. I need advice, should I really leave Germany for Canada ? The major issue in Germany is language and for positions like team leader, German is must. What should I do ?

Adam thank you for this! Just a reminder that here in Vancouver there is allowable open liquor in certain areas during certain times. This is recent. Also with regard to people moving to snowbelt areas they cannot underestimate the value of a robust wardrobe and the necessity of a reliable tough vehicle!!

Hi Adam. I was offered a job at UBC and I'll be moving to Vancouver soon. The process of moving there from abroad makes me kind of anxious, but your videos have been really helpful for me. Thank you so much for the effort you put on them, and keep up the good work!

Hey Adam, love your videos, keep it up! I'm moving to Vancouver from Sweden next summer and I'm really looking forward to it. Except tipping though, because I'm used to everything having a fixed price.

What about the hundreds of Syrians living in Vancouver hotels because they dont want to move to small town Alberta

Yes Canada is a peaceful nation. You did not mention tent cities in Victoria and Vancouver, B.C. In Canada we only speak English. Quebec should be their own country. I was in the military in Quebec for one week and dropped out. I got sick in the winter and I did not like how they treated people. Remember when your there you have to learn both languages. This is because of the marching drills and it is hard if you don't know French. If I was American I be happy and they only speak English. America rules!

I have been to Vancouver and Toronto. I felt more discriminated against because I am American than Black. People asked me if I voted for Trump. Which I did not.\nI’m know racism is in Canada but it’s not like here in the US where you have to worry about the po po.

Nowadays look carefully around Vancouver or arund whole B.C majority people are Chinese..most of them can't speak English...so guess how can they pass for IELTS or Celpip !!!.. never smile or talk to others..and never pay for transit...tricks or faking....very soon may be some will start espionage also..data steal...note it

Canadian properties also sold to ghost immigrants driving property prices thru the roof in vancouver and Toronto and other cities.

Don't forget the polish man in Vancouver airport that died being tasered by RCMP who videotaped themselves tasering each other because they thought it was funny.\n\nEven ethnic Europeans are not safe from the RCMP!\n\nLIKE SO EVERYONE KNOWS!!!

In 2007, I called a property manager in Vancouver about renting an apartment, she told me that there's no vacancy. I was really interested in living in that area. After a few days, I called this building again. This time a South Asian women replied that they have an apartment available. I rented an apartment in that building. I found out that the building was owned by a South Asian family, but property managers were a Canadian couple. In 2012, I was looking for a rental apartment near Metrotown, Burnaby, BC. All property managers, refused me to rent in their buildings. They said they have no vacancy. I had never experienced such a blatant racism before that day.

The more west you go the more rasicm there. Go to Toronto or Montreal. Really if you find a diverse city in Canada it’s not that racist. IF YOUR ANYTHING EXEPT ASIAN IN VANCOUVER DO ME A FAVOR DONT GO!! And if your a native in Canada honestly move out to like Australia. It’s sad but you have to deal with racism everywhere.
2020-06-05 0
Come to Vancouver and you can partake in racism against white people. The only part of this that struck me as really wrong was that people are still saying the n word. That is not ok

All of Canada is not freezing in the winter months the most southern tip of bc is a temperate rain forest (Vancouver island)

Me and my son entered a church in Vancouver because of its beautiful building and they followed us to ask in our face if we are there in a good spirit or a bad one.I was shocked ?, how could you thats God's house open for public, any way we stayed took pictures watched a player then left.

I live in Vancouver and I'd say about 85% of whites out here are straight up racists or closet racists.

I love when the USA and Canada play against each other in hockey, especially during the Winter Olympics.\nEdit: I'm from the US, and I was only seven years old when Crosby scored the golden goal in the Gold Medal match Vancouver 2010. After all these years, it still hurts thinking about it, but what to do, *hockey is Canada's game!*

Amusing white people are underrepresented considering racism. \n\nI'm white living in Vancouver and experience racism against me many times. \n\n1. Walking in Crystal Mall...get out of our country (Asian group of men to me)\n2. Walk into an indian store for a pop....worker grabs me, moves me ahead of 10 or so other shoppers in line...the point is to get me out of the store. \n\n3. And on and on and on...

I love Canada, I have a lot of family in Toronto and have been there many times as well as Montreal and Vancouver. Tbh, there’s no place like the US. We have all types of climates and geography. From deserts, tundra, rain forests, etc. We have some of the best mountains, beaches, and cities on Earth. If you like cold weather, stay up north like Chicago or Boston. If you like normal every season weather, we have many places for that. Mediterranean weather in California, and tropical weather in Florida. We have it all. We have the best sports fans in the world and every sport is accepted here. You can even see so many people play Rugby and Cricket in many parks. Many great universities throughout the country. Best attractions in the world for all age groups. High pay and decent cost of living in most part of the country. Supercar culture is the best in the world especially in SoCal (my personal favorite), TV and entertainment, and the list keeps going on and on. I know that the government in this country is pretty messed up, but hopefully that will be resolved in the future. I also respect the safety that Canada has, but have to admit that Toronto is getting pretty dangerous in some areas. Plus the History of America is amazing. I really do love Canada and would live there if I had to move out of the country, but there’s no place like the USA. ??❤️??

One notable expection: Vancouver and Vancouver Island are NOT freezing in winter and it rarely snows. Palm trees grow there and that should tell you something.

There’s really only 3 big cities in Canada, Toronto Montreal and Vancouver. Which are completely different than all of Canada. Toronto is very similar to London England. Whereas Montreal is really similar to Paris. Not so much in architecture, but in terms of people, life, style, slang. Lots of people in Toronto listen to toronto artist and UK artist as well whereas Montreal residents listen to their Montreal artist and French artist from France. Most of the similarities here are actually not like any American cities. America to us seems really “white” there’s not lot of diversity there either. Toronto is so diverse, People from literally everywhere its so nice to see. Our Prime Minister also a lot better looool

*As a minority born and raised in Vancouver I bought my own home by not wasting time complaining about the government regardless of which party is in power.* *I’m the store manager of the largest Canadian owned grocery store.* *Many Immigrants come to Canada and in 5-7 years after working are able to buy a home.* *Yet Canadian born white people can’t afford to buy a home because they spend all their time complaining about the government.*

Shopping while native. I went to Holt Renfrew in Vancouver to buy a dress , they would not even talk to me .

Of course I am from Costa Rica n I have not felt that friendliness from Canadians here in Vancouver whatsoever. I feel them plain n boring n more serious than a potato. But something that really bothers me is that they look scared. They look so scared that I rather not talk to them.

In Vancouver BC I've met many people of Chinese background who are enthusiastic supporters of Beijing. Round them, send them home. Home is where the heart is.

We all know under this trudua's liberal government whole immigration system run on fake documents and scams:(.it was happening before 2014 secretly and now it is happening openly by Chinese and Indian immigrants and it is quiet visible in cities like Vancouver and Toronto. All of the businesses provide fake job letters to get them work permits and get a permanent residents.hopefully government become a bit strict on immigration and stop all of this mess.

Here in Vancouver it's been very cold the past little while and I can't tell you how many times I've been asked to empty my bag and pockets. I wear big jackets and a hat because it's DAMN COLD OUT. Everytime I walk into any store. (Grocery, retail, furniture..) they always stare me down and follow me. I'm white, female, and maybe I look sketchy to them but I don't care. I can't imagine how these people treat indigenous or black people in their stores. It's ridiculous.
