If i compare Today's Canada with my home country Greece during crisis period(2010-2017), the wages in my country was, and still is crap but the good thing was the extremely cheap housing due to a housing crash. That helped me buy two properties. Now it's almost impossible to be a first time buyer. Now also, especially after covid, the energy cost, food cost, made even people like me who are owners struggling to cover daily costs(living in my own property and renting out the other + working overtime). I decided to move to Copenhagen, but i quickly realised that it's not much better, and i couldn't use my qualifications. Now i'm working double the average person here to be able to afford to buy a sh*tbox in a smaller city, and i cannot sell any property back home bc i will pay a huge capital gain tax as a Danish tax resident. My rental income from Greece can't help to get bigger mortgage in Denmark, but i think my income is enough for anywhere outside Cph. ...i don't want to imagine how Canadian cities, London, Australian cities are for the average renter/1st time buyer!

Canada is a great place to live if you are a wealthy foreigner looking to park your money of unknown or questionable origin. Or possibly a retiree who scarcely ventures outdoors. For hardworking working- and middle-class people under the age of 50, regardless of where you live, where you were born, or what you do, your future is worrisome. About 80% of you don't want to know your future, if you haven't already figured it out. New leadership may help, but the problems go deeper than that.

So people don't want to live in Canada yet the primary driver of increasing housing prices (that you say the government is responsible for) is people coming from out of the country to live in Canada. Also, are you suggesting the government should be building/financing housing? This video just rattles off problems and presents incoherent reasoning for many of them. One of the few issues you were building a strong causal chain on--natural gas prices--the government did exactly what you imply they aren't, which is act...in this case by reversing course on the carbon tax.

They also live in filth with bedbugs and roaches the buses can't be used in Brampton unless you want to smell like a curry armpit.. it's sad the amount of corruption to sell off Canadian to third world.

Born and raised Canadian and lived 22 years of my life in Canada. Left Canada in 2005 and till this date, zero regrets. I went for an academic internship in 2004 during my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering to University of Texas Austin. A professor offered me a position in his research lab for master's, so it was more like studying in US free of cost and earning monthly stipend for doing research. \nI never considered this as permanent move but quality of research I did in US, the opportunities and salary I received I could never imagine that in Canada. I am still in touch with my university friends in Canada work at low wages on obsolete tech stuff, with no innovation at work. Many of them want to move to the US, but for 10+ years they worked on outdated stuff, so they cannot compete with the talent pool in US. Even in 2004, I remember healthcare being bad and I keep hearing stories about how worse it has become. In US, I am covered by a good health insurance, I had surgeries for myself and my kids, and we never had any issues. Honestly, I can no longer trust Canadian healthcare with insane wait times for my kids safety.

Who want to live in a freezer? Today the dream is living in a warm weather country. South America, Africa etc....

claiming no one wants to live in Canada, you'd never know it with its open door immigration policy. I grew up outside of Toronto in the 70's. Now it looks like a Muppet Movie.

I really hate to say, but I'm glad that I made it out of my country because of the economy crisis.\n\nI'm currently living in Mexico now for a new life. I'm happy about it, but I do really miss my old routines that I do back in Montreal...\n\nIdeally I do want to go back to work 9 to 5 job while looking for my professional career as a video editor and videography... But the result is just impossible because of how expensive it is. Not just for paying rent, but debts, monthly phone bills, credit card payments, all the crazy shit that make your head explode.

I've wanted to move to Canada since my childhood. The first time I tried was when I was 22 years old; I received a scholarship for Humber College. Unfortunately, my dream was postponed because I broke my leg. I attempted again at 25 years old, but I didn't have enough money for a comfortable immigration process. So, I decided to accumulate more funds and try again.\n\nNow, at 30 years old, I find myself in a different situation. I've just bought a big house, and I'm living a simple, calm life in Eastern Europe. Here, I have everything I need: a safe environment, the freedom to travel wherever I want, and minimal taxes in my industry. Healthcare is excellent, with no waiting times, and the food is amazing.\n\nDespite these comforts, I still have the opportunity to move to Canada. But I find myself questioning why I was so obsessed with it since childhood. I realize that I earn more in my home country than the average Canadian, even after taxes and rent. Perhaps Canada nowadays is more appealing to individuals from India, the Middle East, and Africa. If I were from these regions, I might still consider moving there. However, moving from Europe to Canada seems like the biggest mistake I could make right now. \n\nCons of Canada: 1) Misconception about communism. 2) High taxes, up to 50% in some cases. 3) Expensive rents(we all know u won't be able to buy anything decent there. 4) Perception of social conformity among Canadians, where sensitive topics may not be openly discussed for fear of judgment. 5) Disparity between the country's overall wealth and the financial struggles faced by some citizens.\n\nPros of Canada: well, I didn't find anything I could not find in other countries developed countries.

ahhhh Shrodinger's Canada. Simultaneously a place where no one wants to live and a place overrun by immigrants.\n\nBunch of fools.

I am a South Asian living in Brampton for almost 40 years and I don’t like what Brampton has become. It used to be multi cultural now it seems like one culture. That’s fine but the thing I don’t like is that the new immigrants specifically from India want that or many people with the same mind set.

Is it racist to say that if you want to live with your own ethnicity, move to a place where your preferred ethnicity lives in. If people want to live in places where there are more Europeans or anything else, move to cities that has more Europeans or anything else. In reality, it is easier to move an individual than to move a group of people. The whole world doesn't evolve around a single individual. Everyone has the freedom to chose to live wherever they want.

Everyone wants to live in Canada, and that's part of the problem. Housing and food wouldn't cost what it does if there was no demand.

All those who leave Canada will come back in 5 years. They will worship the country for its economic growth beginning with a new Clean energy sector. Liberals are on the right path, but with a lacklustre message that doesn't really counter the escape artists' conservative expense slashing without an alternative plan to place before the public for comparison. It's obvious that nobody wants to lose their earned income either through taxes or any other fees. But, the progressive conservatives say that environment and pollution is a business decision whereas Nature and environment is everybody's business. Every citizens business. If not for the natural resources the Fossil fuel industry fully backed by the conservatives would not make any money or profits. Hence shareholder primacy is a hoax in front of human energy that is sustained by clean environment. Mark Carney leads that mission internationally. Money is not Energy, it's only a lever. Therefore, you need people living in good health to action the lever. Canada is full of natural resources, untapped critical minerals etc. and has been able to garner large amounts of foreign investment from large corporations like Honda, Dow and BHP to develop the much demanded clean energy and Energy transformation better than the USA. These companies know Canada's potential for a reliable economy and economic growth.

?????????\nOoooooooh we only want to hire smart people…. Oh wait! Why is it all Indian… ???\nOh wait homeless white people…?\nThey shouldn’t be so lazy and living off the government.

I want to live in Canada. If Canada becomes the poorest country in the world, I want to live in it. You do not know the number of Indians who enter Canada every year, unlike other nationalities.
2024-04-27 0
But a bunch of rhetoric and lies. This guy doesn’t care about the Palestinian people. In reality that land was given to Israel. Israel just wanted to live in peace. They were provoked.

most people want to live with other like-minded people.\n\nyou need to separate and build your own communities.\n\nand ffs, quit building layers upon layers of government.

I’m Mexican-American who lives in Newfoundland and tend to lean more “liberal” but I agree 100% on this. Even here in Newfoundland you are stating to see more Indians than anything else. And muslims as well. The only thing I hate is that they all work cash and don’t pay taxes and they do have lots of kids and our taxes pay for that. I don’t mind it but pay your fookin share, pay taxes and if you want to have more then 5 kids you take care of them not our taxes!!

No one wants to live in Canada? ????????????????

I was raised in Guelph ON, and I loved my childhood in Canada. My friends were white, Sikhs, Bosniaks and Vietnamese, I loved how diverse and welcoming Canada was. At 12 my mother had to stay in the hospital, quick admission, everything free, great doctors and free meds after. That is the Canada I remember.\nAt 16 we moved to NY, life was harder at first. I joined the US Navy to get ahead in education and move away from NY. As time went on I made a good life for myself, married and got a nice condo. My mother got married and made a good life for herself too. \nNow 22 years later, every single one of my friends from high school moved to the US 'cause they could, not one person said they wanted to live in Canada. I still consider myself a Canadian with the Canadian values *I* was raised with, but the Canada of my youth is gone it seems. Honestly make me sad.

I remember when all of Toronto was complaining about all the homeless living in the parks and that was before the refugees so what happened back then because the homeless doesn’t like the homeless shelters is because they don’t want to be told what to do and what time to come and what time to go to bedand a lot of the refugees that apply for the refugee system. Try to hurry up and get off the system and get a job and start working, but these Canadian homeless have been homeless for a long time begging for a long time.

Stop whining, getting jealous and hating Indians because of their success & skin color. This is 2024 no 18th century. Come out of the Your colonial hangover because it wouldn’t work good for you. you want to get successful & want good life like them. Get good education, get job and do hard work. Stop drinking too much, stop using drugs. Learn how to live like good human being from Indians.

Considering almost every problem in the country is caused by immigrants right now it's a little weird to suggest that people don't want to live here our population has grown faster recently than anytime in our history I wish people didn't want to live here ?
2024-04-26 0
U can't blame immigrants for following opportunity or wanting better lives for their kids. But u can blame the universities for putting profits ahead of canadian students. U can blame municipal and provincial govts for not building affordable housing in 30 years while selling out land to greedy developers. U can blame the pandemic. U can blame big grocery chains for gauging customers. None of these things have anything to do with trudeau OR immigrants. U fools sayin F trudeau dont even understand how things work.

I want to live in Canada
2024-04-26 0
America is a good place to live. I have visited a number of places in the USA and it's a free first world country with alot of fun and cool places to see and do. Just like every country in the world there are positives and negatives. I think that the health care is majorly flawed in America. Health insurance is too expensive for the average person and if you get really sick and don't have health insurance in America you are probably going to die. I also don't like that there is no gun control and way to many murders and violence in the USA. Those are the 2 biggest problems that make me not want to live there.
2024-04-26 0
Say with what you want but living in the USA is not better than Canada. You failed to mention universal healthcare in Canada and also its lower crime compared to the USA.
2024-04-26 0
Not me wanting all these immigrants, house here beung sold by Iranians, 640K, just a bungalow, ridiculous price, reg people can't afford it, immigrants don't realize how hard they'll have to work but we do! Gouv killed anyone living in tents decades ago now they have them freezing to death in them, modern times!

If they wanted to live on their land, maybe they should not have attacked israel. \nBibical times we are in.

I want to say something but I rather to not see it because it won’t worth it always be loser haters, always be haters but Islam will live forever in here uk ?? and rest of the world just you to know that ?
2024-04-25 0
In other words, we want them to get what they want as long as we don’t have to get involved ourselves. And there is no way we want those people living in our country as they only cause trouble.
2024-04-25 0
If no one wanted to live in Canada, housing would be cheaper. :) Problem is everyone wants to live here.
2024-04-25 0
i'm canadian and i'm tired of living here. unchecked immigration is ruining this country because it drives prices up. few if any affordable places to live, insanely high grocery prices for even basic necessities, health care is slow, public transportation is inconvenient and inefficient, etc. i want to leave for a country that takes better care of the people.
2024-04-25 0
Millions of people want to live in Canada - they just want the bulls*t politics to stop, so that they CAN live in Canada.
2024-04-25 0
Well I would agrue at least (approximately) 39 million people want to live there, because they do.
2024-04-25 0
Jews have lived alongside people from UK peacefully for decades. New wave of immigrants seem to be angry at everybody. If you have a passport and want to free Palestine, off you pop. It’s that simple.
2024-04-24 0
You want to live in the uk its no better.
2024-04-24 0
You my friend are misleading about why houses are not built. Councils do not care about the value of homes. They care about the living standards. Why should we want to be crammed in ever more denser areas. People do not need to come to Canada they need to stay home and fix their country of origin.
2024-04-24 0
Who told you no one wants to live in Canada? Who??
2024-04-24 0
Canada has been virtually destroyed by Justin's government.\nYou want to see a real shit hole of a city come to Toronto.\nFull of homeless mental cases drug users in the open filth yiu name it people begging on every corner.\nToronto is the shit hole of Canada and Vancouver the same.\n\nYou can drive 3 or 4 hours away from toronto amd if you don't drive to cities like London or Hamilton or st catherines you can still find nice parts of Ontario but not in any city anymore only In the sticks.\nSo if you don't need a city to make a living you can avoid the shit hole Canada has become.\nI'm embarrassed to be a Canadian
2024-04-24 0
If no one wanted to live in Canada it wouldn’t be packed to the gills and bringing in half a million more per year. Stop showing me this garbage, YouTube.
2024-04-23 0
you keep hearing no one wants to live in Canada but somehow the population is exploding. Facts don't match reality
2024-04-23 0
i don't understand why do people still want to live in Canada
2024-04-23 0
Don't you think this is a bit sensationalist to say no one wants to live here, considering millions are immigrating each year (way too many of course, but clearly many people want to live here)? The housing shortage started decades ago with the defunding of CMHC, which you didn't even mention. I guess it's convenient to have one (contemporary) scapegoat as opposed to realizing that all of these are systemic and GLOBAL issues that have been brewing for some time. Political parties are simply corporate pawns, and this is the same the world over.
2024-04-23 0
Nobody wants to live in canada EXCEPT indians
2024-04-22 0
It is a good question though....\nWhy would any true Muslim want to live in a country completely opposite to their culture and theological viewpoint?\nIf I said I only loved hot weather, the hotter the better,it wouldn't make any sense if you heard I'd moved to Alaska would it?
2024-04-22 1
I've been living in Canada for 5 years, became a citizen, with high paying job and I still struggle with high amount of bills and taxes. I don't understand international students really like Canada. It's so expensive, the winter is the worst! Canada is a beautiful scenery that you only want to visit not live with it!
