Do you think American importers will continue to import highly tariffed commodities like bananas and coffee?! No they find other countries and other sources because consumers won’t pay 50% more on coffee and bananas. Guess what what Russia and North Korea are doing? ISOLATED to death on their economy. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but when you first came back to Canada making these videos, you seemed unhappy that things cost more in Canada than in a developing country, I think it was Vietnam? If a person is lucky enough to be able to work around the world online and maintain the same wages of course developing countries will be cheaper. For people who live in Vietnam, the average monthly wage is $424 Canadian. The average wage in Canada is $5,607 so developing countries are cheaper if you are making North American style wages. Best of luck finding a place with lower crime, lower poverty, and a quality of life you enjoy.

Tyler there are 600 mass shootings in the U.S each year which is almost 2 a day per average and while they do not all take place in schools, how many mass shootings are tolerable? As long as Americans like yourself dismiss all the data to the contrary the U.S will continue to have the tragedies it does, When you look up mass shootings which is where there are more than 2 victims per incident you'll find Canada doesn't even register in those statistics because where the U.S has 600 mass shootings a year Canada hasn't had 600 in its last 100 years. So that is why Canadians mention school shootings as a reason, because the potential is real for it to happen. It is preventable tragedy but Americans as a whole need to want that change, until it does the rest of the world will always bring up gun violence and school shootings when the U.S is in the discussion. While most of your points are true, I find it weird that many of the little video vignettes are obviously American. We don't have palm trees. Oh, and Vancouver is much bigger than Calgary. Americans dont really do agriculture work. Their not going to sit their and pay the average american 20 to 25 dollars an hour and keep food prices the same. This is interesting! If you take Economics 101 you will find that tariffs are not paid by another country but are passed down to the consumer(s). Is Trump's thinking that if products cost more from Mexico that Americans will buy products from someone else? And in this case most products come in from elsewhere so the U.S. consumer will be paying hire prices on what we purchase. America does not manufacture a lot of our products anymore. Trump has 1950's economic views.

I agree in that this most likely won't solve the issue put more stress on the population and business enterprise. Climate issues will make these plans even more problematic. We currently have issues with some of the effected industries domestically. We are having to many food recalls to create import price spikes even in building materials. It's already been reported that the drugs are coming into the country in American cars...sounds like a job for man's best friend...drug canine units. Putting more efforts in less drug cou consumption could help because unfortunately druggies will be druggies and find a way to get their supplies. Every major US city is struggling to budget for illegal immigrants. This is why trump has done so well in cities, poorer Americans find themselves in direct competition with illegal immigrants for government resources. If you looked at figures like the number of encounters at the southern border and the amount spent on illegal immigrants this would make it obvious why Americans are upset. People of Yemen, Syria, Palestinian civilians, Israel hostages, lgbtq+ communities, non white Christian faith followers, blended families, veterans, minorities or anyone fleeing violence, death or persecution - there will be no aid or help by the GOP Trump administration and in fact I fear you will be targeted by hate and ignorance or selfishness and greed. But I hope enough columns of good remain to shield as many as possible from what is in their plans. Folks who voted for gop while being in the targeted communities you need to take a long hard look in the mirror and soon you may experience your choices in vivid regret. \n\nFor those who still have a conscience I share your heartbreak and wish the future 4yrs pass quickly and a flicker of hope that there is still good enough people who will offset the hate, division and evil that’s about to erupt all over the country. ?️

This is cruel and beyond that it's economically idiotic. Just wait until your grocery prices go through the roof. Farmers CANNOT find Americans to pick tomatoes, watermelons, etc. etc. American citizens just simply won't do the work.There are countless other industries that use undocumented workers. We are headed for a higher inflation again if this is implemented. How about immigration reform instead? How about work permits? How about paths to citizenship? We need the workers. Our legislators should do their job and come up with immigration reform rather than spend billions rounding up people and hamstringing our economy in the process. Maybe this move along with tariffs will help Americans realize that electing Trump was a mistake.

He has been VERY clear on helping illegals without criminal records who want to work find a pathway to citizenship. This is in no way representative of Donald Trumps plan. Trump and most Americans want to deport the illegals with criminal records. Even if he tried there is no way to deport all illegals.
