I would like to thank all the kind words from all over the world I see here. We as Canadians really appreciate it. It's going to be a tough time ahead for this country, but if no one else will stand up to Trump, we will.

I sincerely apologize for the MAGA Republicans that appear to have lost their minds. Why so many people support a wannabe dictator, I do not know. Why so many people failed to vote, I do not know. I hope this does not last long. Frankly, it's already gone too far. I live in Minnesota. We as a State we deeply appreciate Canada, our neighbors to the North.

I have had many Canadian friend including my first serious girlfriend. I worked with exchange Candian military folks and saw them as full partners. On D-Day Candian troops had their own beach which the successfully captured. They were by our side in Korea and all of our other wars. DJT's excuses for the tariff are fabricated lies exactly as it made up lies that President Zelensky did not show thanks and appreciation. Why is DJT's admin lying? Canadian here....appreciate JT's message, and stand by him in this situation, but sadly know that our long friendly relationship with the USA does not matter at all to this administration. JT's message does not matter to that administration, or their MAGA followers. Fentanyl from Canada isn't a real issue - in fact, significantly more comes into Canada from the USA, along with guns, than the other way around - but that fact doesn't matter at all to the administration or their MAGA followers. Facts and logic are not involved in this. Canadians are quiet and peaceful people who are proud of their country, and we are coming together over this shared cause. We will weather this and be stronger as a country for it.

As much as I dislike Trudeau, I appreciate his candour and directness in his speech especially to Donald. It is also very pleasing to listen to someone who can eloquently articulate their thoughts.
