By putting large tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China the US government has put up the taxes of the US people by the highest amount since 1993.\nThese tariffs will be paid for by the US people with higher prices and inflation.\nThe US central bank may put interest rates up if it worries about higher inflation.\nWhenever I look at Trump I think of the song Liar Liar Pants on Fire by Chuck Brodsky.\nThe words of the song describe Trump perfectly.

I am sickened by the actions of my fellow Americans. This is what the half of America that voted for this deserves but the rest of us will also suffer for their willful ignorance. Good on Canada, Mexico, China, and every other country that values their people over the pockets of billionaires. Nasty, nasty work by the US.

All this because Trump wants to show the world how big his muscles are. The way to deal with a bully is to form an alliance against him. It has always worked and it will work again. Europe, China, Mexico, Canada, Greenland and the Arab world should conspire to isolate Trump.

Canada needs to stick it to the US and so does China and Mexico.
2025-03-04 0
This is all non sense none of the nation's leaders make sense. The tariffs will be paid by the consumers in all the countries. So basically yall raised the prices of all goods in the US, Canada, Mexico & China and the residents will pay or go without products they need & rely on. ?

Senate Majority Leader John Thune reacted to the imposition of tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China by saying “nothing happens in a vacuum” and he expects there will be “reactions” to President Donald Trump’s move. \n \nMeanwhile, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso refused to answer on whether he thought the tariffs would hurt American consumers. He said people should not be surprised by Trump’s decisions because he ran on them.

What happened to your channel? Last year 34,000 foreign nationals entered Canada FROM the USA,plus thousands of guns and tons of drugs. These are facts, along with just 0.0002% of opiates entering the USA ,your own Doctors ,China and Mexico dwarf anything coming from here...oh and ps,Trump had nothing do with border enforcement last year ,which I am sure you know.Keep the right wing fear mongering and talking points going

Canada as bad if not worse than Mexico! I recently read most of all the fentanyl coming in to America from China is via Canada! WTH? …now the illegal alien invasion continues via Canada? Cut CANADA OFF, period!
2025-02-23 0
Ummmm, maybe do some homework, Cash, or stop watching Fox News. Fewer then 2% of illegal immigrants cross the Canadian border into the US. As for fentanyl, your primary sources are Mexico, China and India with Canada so low down the list of sources we don't even register on the charts. Less then 1% (t's actually about 0.2%) of your fentanyl supply comes from Canada to the US. In fact, the reality is that far, far, far more migrants, fentanyl and--worse--illegal guns, cross FROM the US INTO Canada. On the other hand, you get 60% of your crude oil from us and in some areas of the US, 90% of the houses are constructed with Canadian soft wood. Don't get me started on the water!! Sensationalizing Trump disinformation is only going to fuel the very stupid decisions coming out of your White House right now. Far better you all take a step back, take a deep breath and learn how to use some critical thinking to fix what are truly the problems in America: the entire Trump administration and all of its supporters for a start, gun violence, fear, poor education, the right wing agenda, removal of social supports, justice and genuine human rights, just to name a few. Rome (the US) is burning and Trump is standing on the hill, playing his fiddle and it ain't migrants who are adding the fuel...

? ? ? Canada Mexico Europe You guys crack me with China ? ? ?

The tariffs were to incentivise Canada and Mexico to help stop the flow of fentanyl into the u.s. the tariffs didn't need to happen. if these governments helped curb drug flow by securing their own borders there wouldn't have been tariffs. Instead they sided with China that makes the drug that kills 15,000 people a year in the u.s.. these people's blood is on your hands and your reason for doing it? you don't like trump.. you just had to secure the borders so people would stop needlessly dying, but you just wouldn't do it..

Trump says EU tariffs will ‘definitely happen’ as Mexico, Canada and China retaliate \nTrump takes softer line on UK, saying ‘I think that one can be worked out’, while Mexico and Canada vow levies and to strengthen ties with each other \n \nPhilip Wen, Léonie Chao-Fong and agencies \nMon 3 Feb 2025 03.57 GMT \nShare \nDonald Trump has threatened to widen the scope of his trade tariffs, repeating his warning that the European Union – and potentially the UK – will face levies, even as he conceded that Americans could bear some of the economic brunt of a nascent global trade war. \n \nIt comes as Trump’s tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, announced on Saturday, sparked retaliation from all three countries. Mexico and Canada have vowed levies of their own while China and Canada are seeking legal challenges. \n \nTrump said on Sunday night that new tariffs on the EU will “definitely happen”, repeating previous complaints about the large US trade deficit with the bloc and his desire for Europe to import more American cars and agricultural products. \n \nEmpty shelves remain with signs ''Buy Canadian Instead'' after the top five US liquor brands were removed from sale at a British Columbia liquor store in Vancouver. \nAsian sharemarkets tumble in response to Trump tariffs \nRead more \n“It will definitely happen with the European Union, I can tell you that,” he told reporters. “I wouldn’t say there’s a timeline but it’s going to be pretty soon.” \n \nTrump appeared to take a softer line on the UK, citing a good relationship with prime minister Keir Starmer while saying tariffs still “might happen”. “The UK is out of line but I’m sure that one, I think that one can be worked out,” he said. \n \n“Well Prime Minister Starmer’s been very nice, we’ve had a couple of meetings, we’ve had numerous phone calls, we’re getting along very well, we’ll see whether or not we can balance out our budget.” \n \nIn Canada, the department of finance published a list of US products imported into Canada that it will target with a 25% retaliatory tariff starting on Tuesday. \n \nThe list shows products that will be hit in the first round of retaliatory tariffs by Canada starting on Tuesday, and mounts to $30bn Canadian dollars’ worth of goods (about US$20bn). The impacted products include tobacco, produce, household appliances, firearms and military gear. \n \nCanada is also preparing for a second, broader round of retaliatory tariffs in 21 days that will target an additional C$125bn (US$86bn) worth of US imports. The second list would include passenger vehicles, trucks, steel and aluminum products, certain fruits and vegetables, beef, pork, dairy products and more. \n \nFILES-US-CANADA-MEXICO-CHINA-TRADE-TARIFFS<br>(FILES) US President Donald Trump speaks to the press after signing an executive order in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC on January 31, 2025. Trump is imposing steep tariffs on major US trading partners Canada, Mexico and China, with a lower rate on Canadian energy imports, said the White House on February 1, 2025. Washington will impose a 25 percent levy on imports from Canada and Mexico, with a 10 percent rate on Canadian energy resources, until both work with the United States on drug trafficking and immigration. Goods from China, said the White House, would face 10 percent tariffs. (Photo by Mandel NGAN / AFP) (Photo by MANDEL NGAN/AFP via Getty Images) \nTop Democrats warn tariffs will hit Americans hard as Trump says it’s ‘worth the price’ \nRead more \nClaudia Sheinbaum, Mexico’s president, said her government will provide more details on the retaliatory tariffs she ordered on US goods on Monday. Sheinbaum, in a statement on Sunday, said she will announce details on her government’s “plan B” as she insisted that Mexico “doesn’t want confrontation”. \n \n“Problems are not addressed by imposing tariffs, but with talks and dialogue,” she said. “Sovereignty is not negotiable: coordination yes, subordination no.” \n \n'Coordination yes, subordination no': Mexican president responds to Trump's tariffs – video \nSheinbaum and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau spoke by phone on Saturday after Trump’s administration imposed the new tariffs – 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico, with a lower rate of 10% for Canadian oil, and 10% on imports from China. \n \nTrudeau’s office said in a statement that Canada and Mexico agreed “to enhance the strong bilateral relations” between their countries. Canadian officials have had extensive dialogue with their Mexican counterparts, but a senior Canadian official said he would not go as far as to say the tariff responses were coordinated. \n \n“Now is the time to choose products made right here in Canada,” Trudeau posted Sunday on X. “Check the labels. Let’s do our part. Wherever we can, choose Canada.” \n \nTrump acknowledged the sweeping tariffs he has imposed on Mexico, Canada and China may cause “short term” pain for Americans as global markets reflected concerns the levies could undermine growth and reignite inflation. Asian markets, cryptocurrencies and US and European stock futures slumped in early Asian trading on Monday. \n \n“We may have short term some little pain, and people understand that. But long term, the United States has been ripped off by virtually every country in the world,” he said. day, Trudeau said: “We’re certainly not looking to escalate, but we will stand up for Canada.” However on Sunday evening, a senior government official from Canada briefing reporters in Ottowa on condition of anonymity said: “We will obviously pursue the legal recourse that we believe we have through the agreements that we share with the United States.” \n \nThe official said the Canadian government considered the move by Trump illegal and said it violates the trade commitments between the two countries under their free trade agreement and under the World Trade Organization. \n \n“If other legal avenues are available to us, they will be considered as well,” the official said. \n \nCanada is the largest export market for 36 states, and Mexico is the largest trading partner of the US. \n \nCanada and Mexico ordered the tariffs despite Trump’s further threat to increase the duties charged if retaliatory levies are placed on US goods. \n \nChina also said it would file a lawsuit against the tariffs. The imposition of tariffs by the US “seriously violates” World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, China’s commerce ministry said in a statement, urging the US to “engage in frank dialogue and strengthen cooperation”. \n \nFiling a lawsuit with the WTO would be a largely symbolic move that Beijing has also taken against tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles by the EU. \n \nThe commerce ministry also said the tariffs were “not only unhelpful in solving the US’s own problems, but also undermine normal economic and trade cooperation”. China has said it would take countermeasures to “safeguard its own rights and interests”. It is not clear exactly what form these will take yet. But for weeks Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning has said Beijing believes there is no winner in a trade war. \n \nLate Sunday night, Trump said he would speak with Trudeau on Monday morning and shortly after said he would speak with Mexico as well, although he did not specify that he would speak with Sheinbaum. \n \nBeyond the official response, people were already thinking of ways to cope with Trump’s decision, including by sharing suggestions on social media for alternatives to US products. \n \nCanadian hockey fans booed the US national anthem on Saturday night at two National Hockey League games. The booing continued on Sunday at an NBA game in Toronto where the Raptors played the Los Angeles Clippers. \n \nFrom left to right, Toronto Raptors forwards Bruce Brown, Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher react as fans boo the United States national anthem before NBA basketball game action against the Los Angeles Clippers in Toronto, Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025. (Frank Gunn/The Canadian Press via AP) \nToronto Raptors fans boo US national anthem after Donald Trump tariffs \nRead more \nOne fan at the Raptors game chose to sit during the anthem while wearing a Canada hat. Joseph Chua, who works as an importer, said he expects to feel the tariffs “pretty directly”. “I’ve always stood during both anthems. I’ve taken my hat off to show respect to the American national anthem, but today we’re feeling a little bitter about things,” he said, adding that he will start to avoid buying US products. \n \nIn the streets, people in Mexico were trying to absorb the announcement on Sunday, although some in the capital acknowledged that they were unaware of the measures. \n \nIn the border city of Mexicali, across from Calexico, California, some people were concerned about the wider implications of a trade war. \n \nDriver Alejandro Acosta says that he crosses the border weekly in his truck to deliver vegetables to US companies. He said he fears US businesses in the Mexicali Valley will no longer want to operate in Mexico and they will move to the US. \n \n“If they raise taxes on the factories here, jobs may also decrease,” he said.

China is standing by waiting for mexico and canada . Thry are not scared of trump. We will suffer. Everthing will go up . Poeople dont be fooled trudeau is right Americans will feel it.. watch chine closesly they will trade more with china
2025-02-02 0
As an American this is a Sh_t show for everyone. Everyone will suffer especially countries that have a week value to the U.S dollar. What is not said is Canada and Mexico laundering goods and services for China to the U.S which is the real culprit.
2025-02-02 0
This will hurt them more than it will hurt the U.S. because those countries rely on U.S. imports to help sustain their economy. \n\nHere’s a list of countries and percentages of imports between them from 2023: \n\nU.S. -> Mexico = 15.6%\nMX -> U.S. = 43.9%\nU.S. -> Canada = 14%\nCanada -> U.S. = 77%\nU.S. -> China = 7.5%\nChina-> U.S. = 16.5 % \n\nAnd some of those imports we get from other countries are just oil, which is no longer the case since now we are going to drill our own oil. Hmm ? It’s as if they’re almost saying “Please make Canada and Mexico the 51st and 52nd state of the U.S. We don’t know how to run a country nor we don’t like our constituents.” ??

Trump knows he can achieve what he wants. Trade balance :\nUS Canada 41$ Billion for Canada \nUS Mexico 130$ Billion for Mexico (This is really huge) \nUS China 367$ Billions for China \nUS EU 167$ Billions for EU \nTrump will be soft with EU because US Tech Giants (Meta,Apple, Google, Amazon) make a lot of money in EU.

Biggest loser from this trade war is Microsoft's video gaming division.\n\nWhile the Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch are made in China and Japan, the Microsoft X-Box Series S/X are American made.\n\nAs a result, the PS5 and Nintendo Switch will not face a 25% tariff from the Canadian Government, but the X-Box Series S/X will.\n\nI'm surprised that Bill Gates and Microsoft are not fighting for Canada and Mexico even though they have everything to lose.

Omg. Retaliation!! Retaliation!!! ?? This is what happens when people get use to getting their way. In this case countries like Canada, China and Mexico. They act like entitled children. Meanwhile, I’m pretty sure President Trump saw this coming. He’s 3 steps ahead of y’all if you haven’t figured it out already. President Trump is a chess master. He’s applying the same methods that made him a billionaire on a global scale. Mark my words. Got my popcorn ready to go ??

China ?? and Mexico ?? should put Tariff 100% on tesla Ford and Chevy and all American vehicles right away, bevause Elon is the Reason We American and Canadian people are not getting Affordable Vehicle from Chinese Automotive industry. How to lose your best friend. Ask Trump. Canada should pull out of Nato. Trump is behaving like Nazist. Canada is enemy, China is enemy, Mexico is enemy, Columbia is enemy, Russia is enemy. Who is your friend mr Trump. Hope your wife divorce you soon

USA must realize that canada and china could just trade with each other if this goes on canda and mexico will just be member of bricss
2025-02-02 0
The reality is canada, mexico and china are not our friends. Just look at the comments and that becomes clear. They'd rather deal with despots than to just treat us fairly.
2025-02-02 0
Canada and Mexico should join the BRICS. Tear up the Auto Pact and Let China build electric cars in Canada using Canadian metals and rare earth minerals and skilled labour. I'd rather buy a Zeekr than a Tesla anyway. Screw Elon Musk and Trumpistan.

We as Americans can make the drug war go away. Just stop buying fentanyl and other poisonous substances. It’s supply and demand; if there is money to be made by fulfilling a demand, someone will provide. Don’t blame Canada or Mexico or China for our fentanyl crisis. We must support our citizens with the needed assistance to overcome addiction and offer assistance to prevent those not yet involved with fentanyl.

Go Canada, Go Mexico, Go China, Go World.
2025-02-02 0
We love the good people of Canada and can’t wait to welcome them as the 51st State.\n\nThe tariffs are meant to crack down on Chinese exports moving through Canada and Mexico as middle men to avoid their own tariffs. Had both Canada and Mexico regulated the terms of our agreements better on “product origin” then none of us would be in this position. Furthermore, China smuggles drugs through both Canada and Mexico using resins that are chemically embedded with synthetic drugs. So, neither Canada nor Mexico should be climbing on any high horses when their exports are killing our people.

Good luck for Canada, Mexico & China...how long you will survivor without US?
2025-02-02 0
This is a TRADE WAR that legally takes money out of the Citizen's pockets of Canada and the United States ... Mexico, is a PUPPET of China This is designed by the W.E.F..

I don't think the average viewer knows why the US is doing this. They're trying to combat illegal immigration and fentanyl as well as Mexican compliance with the drug cartels.\n\nThe reason tariffs are being used is because America is in a very powerful position when it comes to trade. The american economy doesn't rely on trade like Canada (67%), Mexico (73%) and China (37%). American trade accounts for only 24% of its massive GDP. if you removed all trade from america, it would still have larger economical output than china, mexico and canada COMBINED. yes. Combined. \n\nFurthermore, Canadian trade with america account for almost 80% of all trade in canada. A 25% increase would be absolutely devastating to canada. In america its about 13% so a 25% increase would cost more but it wont have any significant impact.\n\nNo doubt this tarrif war will cause far more problems for canada mexico and china than america. By a LOT. \n\nI dont think america is being selfish either. China does nothing to protect america from sending precursor chemicals to america to manufacture fentanyl. Canada facilitates illegal immigration and fentanyl into america with no accountability. And mexico is illegal immigrants by the MILLIONS and is literally working with the drug cartels. If they sort out those issues the trade war ends. \n\nI think america has every right to go to war to protect its sovereignty and its people.
2025-02-02 0
But this will make people pay 25% more just only target the companies that are linked with Trump. Canada & Mexico China is saying Hello nothing more just hello.
2025-02-02 0
This is why Trump will occupy panama and Greenland, he will control the trade routes from west to east. This means that canada, mexico and the eu will not have any leverage in trade with countries outside of usa.\nUsa will bully and deliberately weaken his allies in order to punish china and strengthen the usa
2025-02-02 0
Canada should free trade with China, Europe and Mexico and stop buying Tesla.
2025-02-02 0
There is a Chinese proverb - enemy’s enemy is my friend. Now China, Mexico, Canada should work together for cooperation and isolate the U.S?
2025-02-02 0
Funny Mexico said they would defend their interest. In drug and human smuggling? Tariffs work like this. When two countries put tariffs on each other whoever exports more in relation to the other will loose. It’s a math problem. Unless the country has massive stockpiles of cash from the other country. We buy more from China, Mexico and Canada then they buy from us. Just FYI
2025-02-02 0
USA has more oil and gas than Canada and Mexico together. We are top #1 in almost everything. Only manufacturing that we sent to China , and now we are bringing it back. That’s how strong the USA is . Resist and perish
2025-02-02 0
Yea I don’t believe it’s the fentanyl that’s the issue Trump has, I believe it’s the business with China. China is using the benefit of both of these countries free trade agreement and Trump is punishing Canada and Mexico for it.
2025-02-02 0
Mexico has spoken, Canada has spoken ?but what about China
2025-02-02 0
Here is Michigan, many of us have family in Canada. \nI could not possibly care less about Mexico or China. But Canada ?

Donald Trump has never been treated fairly by Europe, Canada, Mexico, China, Colombia, Judges, Proscutors, and Democrats. Is Donald whinning? You be the judge!!
2025-02-02 0
I will suggest that China, Canada and Mexico establish a free trade area.
2025-02-02 0

Canada Mexico and China executive orders telling drug dealers and trespassers to stop. Easy peasy! ?
2025-02-02 0
Suddenly, Canada China And Mexico think they can be together to replace USA. ??? Good job new state of US and Governor Trudeau ?
2025-02-02 0
The US has been running a trade deficit with Mexico, China, and Canada for almost two decades now—Canada only makes up 6% of all US imports while the US makes up 63% of all Canadian imports.\n\nCanada will have to find more trade partners besides the US if it doesn't want its consumers paying 25% more for US goods, most of which are mechanical machinery, automotive parts and vehicles, minerals, medical equipment, energy products, and consumer goods.
2025-02-02 0
TRUMP II\n\nSo cool, NAFTA raises Government revenue. Mexico, Canada & USA.\n\n10% for Red China?\n\nThat's good for a laugh. Doubt Red China will respond as these is the INTERNAL AFFAIRS of NAFTA.\n\n?❤
2025-02-02 0
I don’t care. Let Canada come around. Let Mexico go. I don’t have any need for crp made in China or Mex and they can keep their bullsht drugs and cartels.
2025-02-02 0
Isn't it ironic that Elon likes ketamine, which is an opioid just like fentanyl but trump is punishing Mexico, Canada and China when they demand guy sits beside him. Is that not hypocrisy.
2025-02-01 0
Canada just needs to stop trading with USA, trade with Mexico and China!
2025-02-01 0
Let's be clear. Mexico and Canada are delusional Trump is going to destroy you. China better quit playing too. This country ain't weak and now that Trump is in office we aren't going to be bullied. It's time for everyone to snap out of the Barack Obama and Joe Biden spell and get back to reality. Trump is not playing. It's over.
2025-02-01 0
It’s time for Canada and Mexico and China trade with each other and exclude USA.
