When they prioritize refugees over needy citizens; this is what happens. Brain drain, trust me most of my friends are about to leave this country despite making 100k/year. It's not like we are scared of taxes or anything but it's the government with misplaced priorities. For Canada refugees are on top of the food chain

Brain drain is real. Also Canada can't be innovative if they keep raising minimum wage and making the barrier to entry harder for new businesses.

Some small criticisms.... Brain drain hasn't been a thing in Canada since you can't just cross the border and start working in the USA. Also, when you say that the majority of Canadians live within the American border, that does not include the Alaska border. the majority of us live close to the southern border.

The brain drain part really struck a cord with me. Canada spent tens of thousands of dollars subsidizing my education only for me to leave in my mid 20s to seek better opportunities in the US and get away from their housing crisis. I tried to stay in Canada but even the top companies had vastly lower pay compared to what I could find in the US relative to the cost of living. The biggest difference I've noticed living in Canada and the US is in Canada the smartest people I know are investing in unproductive real estate and in the US they are hustling to start/grow STEM startups. In my view, the worsening housing crisis in Canada will only exacerbate some of these stats in the coming years.

Canada as a whole is not that corrupt..... Its government on the other hand had become incredibly corrupt. PM Blackface openly takes bribes and the family connections are the chief path to powerful appointments. Brain Drain is just a work for anyone with half a brain realizing Canada is over-leveraged and overtaxed with little freedom beyond the government funded media stories that try to convince you all is well.

Total rubbish! Canada discourages investment generally. Success in natural resources - despite government policy and cultural biases AGAINST them - does not hinder economic development elsewhere. The banks, governments, and degenerate academics in Canada do such a good job screwing everything over that the ambitious leave, thus, as the video observed, the “brain drain” south. You know what’s ONLY thing that cannot leave Canada for the USA? Natural resources!! That’s why natural resource companies endure in Canada, because they have no choice.

Ya..except Canada is by far the most educated population with R/D , AI, Robotics, optics, aerospace.. also taxation comparison is misleading as the USA actually pays higher taxes. Brain drain is not a thing anymore, in fact our primary imports are foreign working age students ready to make babies ?. Canada has the largest immigration. Canada will be a superpower in 80 years.

Meanwhile in Canada, Toronto has become a tent city while refugees are housed in hotels and then public housing. \nI have always been a supporter of immigration and refugee asylum but it's becoming obvious even to people like me that we can no longer afford to bring in more people who sadly will continue to just drain our system until it collapses. \nThe average person is barely keeping their head above water with rent and food prices. There comes a point when you have to acknowledge that your cup is empty and there is nothing left to give.

Disgusting!! Globalization and brain drain at its finest. These people have no right to be demanding entry. The US and Canada need to start setting a better example, it’s blowing up in their faces and us tax paying citizens are paying the price!

There are many who migrated to Canada are now returning to India. Reversal of the brain drain is underway but then the population of India is ballooning so fast India is bound to invade the whole planet That is undeniable .

This is why Canada wants all the immigrants to come work here so they can drain all their income in taxes to pay for all the old people draining the system. They need workers at low paying jobs to work double hrs. paying double taxes to pay for senior's health care etc. They are also consumers who will have to spend what's left of their pay cheques to just feed and clothe themselves. Leaving so little left to actually do anything with. As a 5th generation Canadian I have struggled all my life to just keep food and home to live and raise my kids on very little. Now due to what has happened in Canada and the economy, inflation, skyrocketing housing prices, my kids will never be able to own a home in their own country. It's sickening. Canada is cold. Canada is not fun. Least fun because of all the rules on everything. Taxes and fees on everything. There used to be much more fun and things were much more relaxed in the 70's and 80's but now it has changed so much that I'm starting to hate my own Country, my province and the Canadian leadership at this time is the worst in history. And get this: I'm so poor I couldn't even afford to move around or travel in my own damned country! We don't even have a universal transit bus system to travel anymore. YOu have to have a car or fly but be damned if you can hop the old Greyhound and go from Vancouver to Toronto anymore and save a few bucks. It's sick and dysfunctional here.

There is a direct correlation between high IQ , High earnings , business ownership and the percentage of people who leave the country. This is brain drain. \n\nThe majority of people who stay in Canada are either desperate(left a war torn , corrupt country ) or are born here and simply don’t want to leave to change their habit. \n\nCanada is beyond overrated , and is subpar in a multitude of ways . Entering your own country and being treated like complete ?️ is the new Canadian way. The taxes do NOT equal out services used. Healthcare system is going down the drain. I couldn't get a midwife because of my choice to have a natural birth. I love Canada. I h8 Canadian corrupt government and systems currently in place.

Everything you say is bang on and I have to say that the most frustrating of all is that the government reaches out to foreign nations seeking professionals - it's called the brain drain, but as you say, once you arrive, they make it VERY DIFFICULT to get into the professions you're trained for. Finally, you come to realize that the red on either side of the Canadian flag is red tape! I have seen immigrants with PhDs working as security guards, doctors working as lower level healthcare workers, etc. Canada is a wonderful country but they a lot of issues to resolve. As for the weather - too bad about that!

I would rather pay my taxes to a fully functional government that can provide great public healthcare, education, competent police force with low crime rate and overall good infrastructure. \n\nIn South Africa I already pay 41% income tax. Live is a security estate where I pay over $340 per month for the upkeep over and about my mortgage bond and property taxes. I have a car and pay insurance and tracker because I cannot rely on public transport. I have private medical aid because I cannot rely on public health care. When I have children I will probably send them to private school because the good public schools are few. Electricity supply is not reliable. \n\nHonestly, I’d rather take my chances with Canada than see my hard earned money go down the drain they way it happens here in South Africa.

Let Canada have all immigrants, they are a burden not a benefit on American tax dollars with welfare and working jobs under the table, taking jobs from Americans. The money they drain from the system should be used for veterans, military, seniors and Americans not foreigners

If that caravan reaches US soil...I have no doubt they will go straight towards Canada ?‍♂️ then they will try to change our culture history and the housing market will suffer. Please protect our own citizens before others!!! Don’t get me wrong, I have a co-worker who came here in Canada legally and paid so much money to work here legally. No problem with that as he is contributing to our society and pays taxes. However this caravan marching towards US and most likely continue north will 100% drain our resources! First we need to provide shelter, food, clothing and expenses to live day by day. Let’s take on our own citizens’ homelessness issues (tent cities) first before welcoming those who just decides to invade other countries just because their country can’t provide...

That guy with the long beard, I can recommend him a very good Sicilian barbershop, close shave I have issues with what is going on in Canada, the fact I didn't vote for Primister Deerintheheadlights makes me all the more angry, as I feel justified to speak out against the Liberals. I didn't sign up for this. Rushing in 25k more refugees is crazy. I am concerned about the security issues, and the fact the refugees will drain even more tax dollars away from our already fragile economy. Just thinking out loud, what benefit do these refugees have coming to Canada, none. They will live a life of welfare and eventual poverty. Some very few may prosper, and others will turn to crime. I can't see 25k refugees coming to the GTA to work on the railways and build subways or doing construction work. I can't see the refugee women working at anything more than Tim Hortons, if they are even allowed to do so, based on their religion. I have seen it, I live it everyday. Someone, please prove me wrong?
