I think that the way for less immigration Is that Canadians have more babe's. That's the only way because If not the population pyramid with turn and the less young population will have to work for the majority of old population like the crisis that South Korea and Japan are now. Thank you.

Mass immigration is part of the Trudeau liberal agenda, the large influx of cheap labor will decrease wages and this in turn will lower the standard of living for all Canadians. India is one of the few countries in the world which has a huge surplus population that can supply Canada with an endless amount of cheap labor. The Trudueau liberals have no interest in the well being of Canadians, they only serve the interests of corporations.

The Leftist government and activists, are deliberately steering Canada’s economy downward. While filling the country full of immigrants, to destabilize Canada. They are trying to turn Canada into a have not country. The Leftist ideology is to replace Canadians, and Canada’s identity as well as history. Their goal is to turn the people into uneducated drones, who will just obey the demands of monsters like Soros, Schwab, and Trudeau etc. They want a socialist society, in fact the environment Minister admitted he’s a proud socialist. These people are dangerous and given the chance will destroy Canada, and the fabric of Canada’s history both good and bad. History allows people to learn from previous mistakes, or celebrate all the good that had made Canada Successful until now. So to try and erase our History and rewrite it saying Canadians were all slave traders, colonizers, Nazis, and genocidal monsters toward everyone who wasn’t white is unfair and inflammatory. Those trying to do this to Canada & Canadians are disgusting people, who should NEVER have the right to be in a position of power ever again! Period!

Sadly, Canada is not longer the country it used to be! \nAffordability is a huge factor, plus the difficulty to enter the job force or find a good job (not only in academia in every field) which so necessary to pay for housing, food etc\nBut also the social and cultural changes has been huge in the past decade. \nAs we see the decline in USA, we can see Canada is following closely and in some areas, we are doing worse.\n20+ years ago Canada have quality of life, that has dropped drastically in every area health services, schools, security, transportation, housing, infrastructure etc. although we pay higher taxes than other countries we do not have the same services.\nLaws restricting liberties and going to the extreme on protecting and impossing other ideologes erosion of freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of religion etc. \nOn top all that is the huge public debt, lack of transparency, abuse in the spending of many politicians, and corruption.\nAll together has turned living in Canada less disarable for many immigrants and also nationals. Many Canadian are choosing to live abroad or retire abroad.

I applied for canadian immigration in the mid 2000s. I ticked all the qualification. I am qualified and i even have enough money to support myself for more than a year even though i have lots of friends and relatives in canada. AND YET, my application was turned down. I have no idea what happened. Im also supposed to get my processing fee back after i was rejected but i never got them anymore. Then i read canada allowed even unqualified immigrants from other parts of the world just bcoz.... Maybe its a blessing in disguise for me coz many friends i know are coming back home. Some maintained their canadian citizenship but are living back in my country, doing great business

As a natural born Canadian, it's turned into a corrupted shit show, and I too plan to leave. Not only is Trudeau and liberals corrupt, but the cost of living and stagnant wages is rediculous. This government has opened excessive immigration since 2016, and its hurt this country. Do not move to Canada.

Too many immigrants were allowed in Canada. For this reason, Canadians are paying a steep price. These people need to go back to their own countries before they completely destroy mine. It’s that simple. I know the small town I live in has completely turned into East India 2.0.

I'm an immigrant and my immigrant friends and I were talking about exactly this just the other day. I'd like to add some context on why so few international students stay: they can't. Schools prey on this very fact. In international recruiting, these schools use the promise of thriving local industries and trot out graduates working locally as major draws to these expensive programs. Then once students are in Canada, many of these schools couldn't care less: they offer little or sometimes no housing support, no immigration advice (or in my case and many of my friends' cases: they give straight-up false immigration advice that can screw you over or even get you in trouble). There absolutely needs to be regulation and accountability for these predatory schools; I think a good starting point would be capping the number of visas they can apply for based on the number of housing units available (either on-campus or via local development subsidy and homestays). Tons of students come to Canada completely unprepared due to false promises made by these schools, and then get spit out into an egregiously inefficient and broken work visa system.\nMy immigrant friends and I are all highly skilled in our specific field. There are only a handful of people in the world (let alone in Canada) who can do what I do at the level I do it, so I would be incredibly difficult to replace if I left Canada. Despite that, and despite being Canadian-educated (Canadian resources invested in me that you'd want to keep in Canada), remaining in Canada has been a massive struggle for me and my friends. We individually spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars every year to apply for permits that have to be renewed annually, but take the government 6+ months to process. Because the government is so backed up, we have to apply for *extra* permits to bridge that gap (more money, and more work added to IRCC's already-long line of applications). I'm in limbo for the majority of the year where I can't switch employers, can't leave the country, etc. It's horrible. \nBut I have it better than most. Of the international students in my year, only I and one other student are still in Canada because the transition to work permits is so needlessly long and difficult. Even a graduate who does manage to get a work permit might have to sit unemployed for 6 months or more before that permit is active. How is a student supposed to survive without work for that long? In order for employers to even apply to sponsor a graduate, they often have to do a lengthy labor market impact assessment, and so these graduates are stuck in a holding pattern, and they're the lucky ones. Immigration is absolutely vital to Canada and I hate how quickly these stories turn to xenophobic rhetoric, but we have to make space in the conversation to take a look at how schools are exploiting students and policy loopholes, and why they're doing it, and address those problems. The current system isn't fair to anyone.

Post secondary institutions love foreign students. They charge waaaaay more and make that much more.\nThe response against more foreign students by liberal media is the threat that your tuition will go up with limits on foreign students.\nWhat about spaces? For every foreign student there's one less space for Canadian students.\nHousing is the biggest issue today.\nPrevious to Trudeau, the issue was the cost of detached homes in big cities going up but today it's insane rental costs across the board that no one can afford.\nI have been dumb founded as to why after decades of predictable increases and stock suddenly, year after year, cost went up dramatically as stock dwindled.\nI see the same places available, no one's tearing down masses of cheap 70s built rentals so what happened?\nThen I saw the immigration numbers. Canadians aren't having kids so who is taking all this housing? It has to be immigration.\nClearly, it's time to turn the taps down and allow housing stock to catch up.\nThe ripple effect is that no one can work an entry level job in the city. Who can afford a minimum $1000 month on minimum wage? Even at $20 hour, everyone is hiring but no one is filling positions in cities where there's nowhere to rent. Even these way over priced rentals, a bedroom in a run down house has line ups to rent at $800 month.\nThe only people accessing affordable housing are people on the street or on disability who qualify for it. Low income workers are the most screwed class of people especially if single.

Canada has become so corrupt. It's also known Canada has become a haven for money laundering and all kinds of schemes like that. These colleges have turned into diploma mills. Their diplomas have no real value anymore. They are churned out solely because of money and it's flooding the market as well. \nHow is this allowed? \nCan you imagine how many Canadian Citizens are DYING because they have to fight against millions of new International students and new coming immigrants each year for a hospital spot.\nWait times at ER as exploded. Tons of new cases where Canadians died waiting for emergency help. This is criminal. \n\nThis is also very bad for the long term Indians that came to Canada many years ago and their kids born in Canada. They are starting to get stigmatized because all Canadians see is insane amount of Indians that barely speak English (that would be the immigrants not the students) and with a housing crisis and it affects Canadians. Guess who the scapegoats are.\nI am telling you these are the unfortunate side effects. Right now all Canadians are hurting. Trudeau and Liberals have to go and PP better not even TRY to keep this going.

I saw many times the ads about Canadian Dream here in YouTube. It looks beautiful and promising, but turned out the reality is not like that. I wonder why their government encouraging people to immigrate to Canada but not really ready to accept them.

My parents immigrated from Britain in the 1959s after WWII and built a comfortable life! At 72 I live a relatively comfortable life although I have spent all my savings and I currently rent! I lived in Spain with my much younger Colombian wife who passed away in 2019. My pension income is sufficient for me to live since I returned to Canada and I have better than adequate healthcare and dental care! The short story is \nTurd and the Turdettes were elected because Harpoons and his band of buttkissing bootlickers were self-serving incompetents. Now Turd, who has never been competent to be PM, which his long list of scandals should easily prove, is going to compel the election of another incompetent self-serving politician. Canadians never learn, switching from one idiot to another as the country spirals into the sewer. The proposed level of immigration and climate change options will turn Canada into a third world country? Maybe we can call it Turdland and then we will all be Turds!

As a Canadian I would warn any immigrants wanting to come here…don’t it’s a trap.\nThe government is turning more and more authoritarian and corrupt, the standard of living is falling off a cliff and people are being taxed into poverty.\nHomelessness, drug addiction and crime are on the rise and services like healthcare are declining rapidly.\nSmall businesses and even larger corporations are closing or relocating offshore.\nWe are becoming the northern version of Venezuela.

As an indian who suddenly grew curious about Canadian politics and society in recent times (thanks to JT and his credible allegations), it seems like canada is fast turning into a socialist/communist economy like Russia but without the strong control of the centre. Without a strong centre or a central figure handling things at the top in such an economy, Canadian policies regarding immigration, internal security, trade and economy etc are all in doldrums. Add to that, canada is harboring serious anti social elements within it's border who will strike back at canada itself if the things remains out of control. Being a homogenous society, I don't except canada to follow the fate of USSR, but definitely it is on the way to become the first world Syria.

If you can't immigrate out of Canada consider learning to sail with the idea of buying a sailboat and sail around the world. You might find the right place to settle and fight like hell to stay there. I met a Canadian couple in NZ who did just that. \n\nRemember to turn the lights off when you leave!

I am an immigrant from India. I like Canadians but feel bad about the present situation in Canada. I sincerely hope Canada is able to put a stop to this bad situation and turns the economy around towards positivity.Every single person in Canada should work towards this goal no matter where we are in Canada.

This is mostly the marginal explanation. What is actually causing the problems in Canada is PRECISELY the expectations of a high standard of living absolutely everyone has, including brand new immigrants. Who as if they were owed a palace immediately begin complaining about the work they have to do and the fact they're not immediately appointed the king of Canada. To put simply, we have an incredibly spoiled population, a population that expects low prices for everything and has a terrible productivity overall and does not wish to work in the kinds of jobs that every economy needs in order to fuel everything else. Food production is the so-called inceptive value. The more food you produce, the more people can consume it, and this in turn flows through the economy to enable all the other kinds of economic activity. We have to bring in hundreds of thousands of temporary foreign workers from Mexico just to be able to harvest. In the past, Canada allowed immigration from all over the world of people who were mostly poor, refugees, and those desperate for a new life. They worked all the time doing every kind of imaginable job in every kind of condition. They built this country with their perseverance and hard work. The immigrants today, are selected on a points-based system, and the idea behind this is that someone with two university degrees, or trained in a profession, even if they don't work in their field in Canada because they're all sorts of barriers to transferring your education, are not very likely to be criminals or antisocial types. Criminals or antisocial types. In other words, Canada has chosen to attract high quality candidates on the assumption that they would be less likely to become criminals, while they in turn, having been picked from the best in their society, arrive in Canada with very high expectations, and discover that actually they're going to have to work in all sorts of other kinds of jobs and will probably not work in their field, even though that's what got them the points to come to the country. The country. This is the brilliant system brought in by Stephen Harper's conservatives, which brings in people with high education, and allegedly high skills, especially high language skills, so the government doesn't have to pay for their language training, but it doesn't consider the fact that these are very often people with other choices, who are not willing to work in construction or farming or service or retail or all those kinds of things that we desperately need workers in. The reason why we can't build enough housing has nothing to do with local governments and property values. It has to do with lack of labor. This education system, for some unbeknowned reason, is absolutely terrible, and provides basically no skills, training or education for the vast majority of high school students such that when they graduate high school, their forced to go to university or college. Since they have absolutely no training. In most parts of the world you finish high school and you have a trade, or you have some skill to begin working, the kids here know nothing. Nothing. Other than emotional safety, intersectional language, and wokeism. On top of that, the government has brought in every kind of environmental restriction and regulation on account of incredibly loud, but actually small minority of enviro lunatics, who most of the time use these environmentalism as a cover precisely for protecting their high property values in very luxurious and special places around the country, and they oppose logging and all sorts of resource extraction under the guise of environmentalism. But it's actually to preserve their special privileged position often in some wilderness or island, where they might be the only one or a handful of families who got lucky to somehow own a property. Property and so they oppose everything on account of environmental reasons. But it's just to keep people out and preserve their own privileged place. This country also as most others suffers from the illness of dishonesty and lack of integrity brought about by a culture of marketers where nothing is the way it is said to be. Everything is a fine print. And we have gotten used to this as normal. We've gotten used to having credit cards, charges, 25% interest, we've gotten used to being ripped off constantly by all the corporations for everything, and nobody complains and they just borrow more and they just bottle it in and now it's finally coming out. Out. People are fed up of the enviral lunatics. They're fed up of people who complain and bitch one moment about the pipeline and then complain and bitch the next moment about the high cost of gasoline when the pipeline is temporarily shut down for servicing. The problem with Canada is Canadians.

My family came to Canada 5 years ago. The main reason was because my dad had been busy setting up a branch of his European company here for two years. He wanted to launch this new branch and then retire early. Canada as he knew it was a good option for him to do this. We even had a house long before we came to Canada. And we now live on the west coast of Canada. \n \nFor us, the transition to feeling at home here wasn't particularly difficult. We also had enough experience of what it was like to live in other countries. Canada actually turned out to be a very easy country to quickly settle in. \n \nI've heard that Canadians can be reserved, but my personal experience is completely different. \n \nNevertheless, I got to know fellow immigrants who didn't find it easy to get started in Canada. In my experience, they were not very or only rudimentarily informed about what to expect in Canada. Their expectations were very high and they failed because of the reality of everyday Canadian life. \n \nOthers had similar experiences, but they persevered and ultimately arrived in Canada. Some of my fellow students are international students who are also considering leaving the country because Canada doesn't offer what they were hoping for as a better life here. \n \nThe reasons are really too individual in nature to really generalize. I think there should be a lot more help given to people who are struggling with their fate in Canada, because there are enough programs that they could take advantage of but that they never hear about. \n \nUltimately, it may help if someone just listens to them and perhaps has some advice, no matter how vague it may be. Those who finally arrive in Canada after years of a long odyssey and find this country something like home are, in my opinion, those who never gave up.

I can't stand this place and especially people! It's sooo dreadful, if I spoke truthfully the comment would get auto deleted. So since it turned out to be the polar opposite of the propaganda and how Canadians talk about themselves to the world (and the type of immigrants who fled poverty and had absolutely nothing back home and for whom Canada is actually an upgrade of sorts), I'll just use Canada as a stepping stone to get back to the US where I studied and got all my degrees and the place was infinitely better than Canada in almost every area. And there people are actually normal, like they'll talk to you, invite you to their home or to go out, make sure you aren't alone for Thanksgiving, etc. In Canada there's none of that, you're on your own! To me living in Canada is a nightmare!

This is not just a canada Problem but is being faced world over. Its never easy to immigrate to a country. People fail to research and understand the challenges they would face and how to overcome them. They usually have a well paid job and decide to move to canada thinking its easy then cry about the smallest inconveniences. You are moving to canada to live a better life and turn your life around, start by changing yourself first to be more canadian and western ( ideologies). Let go of your old life and embrace the new and you will find canada a pleasent and joyfull place to live ( except winters cause it drains your joy and your heat?). \n\nP.S : The problems with inflation and housing is true for all economies now, if you find a country that has great jobs cheap housing and overall great qualty of life right now do let me know ill apply too.

Canada is quickly turning into a 3rd world country because that’s where the majority of them came from, as refugees NOT IMMIGRANTS. Canada is no longer screening for EDUCATED, PROFESSIONAL people who can contribute to Canadian society. Canada has made it so difficult for those who are educated and are professionals to receive accreditation to contribute to Canadian society. Canada no longer ensures there is a Canadian sponsor who pays for the immigrant, to ensure that the immigrant is not a burden on society. When teachers can not make change while volunteering at a food stand for a local craft show, this explains that our education system is junk. Our health care system is run like a well oiled corporation where money stops at the top/administration and never finds it’s way to those who need health care. I was the first generation of latch key kids to go to school with Italian, Croatians, Serbians, Armenians, Jews, Palestinians, Asians and we never saw our classrooms full of sanctioned hate. We never saw the neighbourhoods of any of these ethnicities look like open toilets. There was no gang violence amongst these ethnicities. They had their own community centres, churches, synagogues and anyone was welcome. They were active in the community, they were fantastic neighbours. Decades later we have “no go zones” in our cities and rural communities because of the danger of some ethnicities. Churches and synagogues are locked. Their community centres are locked and monitored for entry. We have lost our way. We have allowed chaos agents into our country and we are paying the price and will continue to do so.

canada is going downhill quickly with its economic crisis, housing crisis, marjwuana being legalized and homeless in the rise, the towns look like zombie town with the homeless everywhere and their left behind garbages , and on top of this the cold weather, -for sure immigrants will leave. Shame on the Canadian leaders to turn such a wonderful country into this. Canada used to be everybody's dream, once. Not anymore !

As the child of immigrants, i think this is a perspective a lot of Canadians are facing. I could never bring myself to leave, most people my age are the same. All your friends are here, the neighbourhood you grew up in is here and you're simply not cut out to go to where your parents originally came from (half of us come from parents/grand parents who immigrated) because the climate is probably 1000x different lol (I just know I couldnt survive South Asian/Middle eastern weather).\n\nI just turned 18 though so I haven't experienced the insane rent and stuff (as it's literally impossible for me to move out). Things will be better I know it, but the question is how long will that take? Id personally give it 5 or 6 years. We need to put a cap on immigration and just completely cut off the GTA from receiving any for a set amount of time (think 2 or 3 years?). We also need to amplify our construction industry (incentives/rezone some areas for development) and the government should start subsidizing urban development projects with an agreement that prices will be lowered, or offer money to people who are purchasing condos/houses (think iZev but for urban housing and not electric vehicles). \n\nAlso stop taxing us and simply start slowing down/cutting non-essential social services; a specific government program should be created that closes all of these at once for a set amount of time (think 2 or 3 years as well) and they'll be able to redirect the money to more important causes.

Southern Ontario is ugly as F**k, I was born here and have seen all the woodlands marshes and especially small streams and creeks disappear over the past 50 years. You have to drive a fair distance north to find an appealing landscape even driving to Niagra falls is a big disappointment now that it has become a giant shi*hole of overcrowded tikky takky shops and motels.Everyone thinks Canada is this huge country with tons of beautiful spaces to live while in reality 75% of the country is uninhabitable for farming or houseing which is shown in the rates of low inhabitants living farther north. 90% of Canadians live within a 1 to 2 hour drive of the U.S border for a reason because there is very little livable places to live in Canada if you don't want to live like an Eskimo. There are vast amounts of places to visit in the north in the summer time but to visit not to live. That leads to the question of why is Canada incentivizing peoples from more tropical climates to immigrate to a nation that is frozen 6 or 7 months a year which i think can lead to a lot of immigrants dealing with depression, its hard enough for the people born here but thats never discussed for fear of imprisonment by the government The government had 2 choices to which way to go in this country, the first was to find a way to pay for all the older citizens through CPP and OAS payments in the next 25 years which ment higher taxes and less money for the elderly citizens and the 2nd was mass very mass immigration to pay for these programs and in doing so turned the country into a place where no one can find a doctor no one can find or afford a place to live,cities have become overcrowed because they were not given the time to adjust thier infrastrutures to deal with all the new people and voila you have a giant shithole of a country.

Well, where to begin Ms McLeod. \nFirstly I couldn't agree more, Toronto is now a mere shadow of its former self. It's a shit-hole actually, unless you have the significant wealth to live behind the iron gates of the Bridle Path, Forest Hill or Rosedale. \nSecondly, the increase in crime is a direct correlation to unfettered and unchecked immigration policies of Liberal socialist governments who continually keep the flood gates open for the undesirable and criminal elements who bring their mentality from off-shore. \nThirdly, the lack of public resources for those suffering from mental health issues is a direct correlation to the disastrous policies in the 1970's of closing of virtually every institution in Canada who dealt with those who needed help. We were told the institutions were trampling on the rights and freedoms these Canadians. Today, there is simply no where for those to turn for help. And politicians of every stripe don't want to touch the issue with a 10-foot pole. Have a look at Vancouver's Downtown East Side - it is an apocalypse of a horrible social experiment gone wrong. The same is happening in Toronto, and even my hometown not far down the 401. \nFourthly, inflation and excessive income tax is a silent killer of hopes, dreams, aspirations and communities. \nI applaud your decision to look elsewhere for your new home base!

The 5th estate should report on the many Indian immigrant workers who are exploited by Indo-Canadian employers who take advantage of Canadian programs that provide grants to bring workers over but that take that money and then turn around and exploit the workers, marking them pay off “debts” to their employees, pay rent to their employers, and the people who endure this for a chance at becoming a Canadian citizen.

Forgot to mention that it may be challenging raising the kids since it’s no longer education being taught but political correctness and white liberal theology masked as sympathetic political jargon meant to shield you from the fact that all Canadians are being turned into tax slaves by narcissistic sociopaths who believe they are saving the masses. You should also not contradict their views with your cultural or religious upbringing since this could get you in trouble with your job or who knows what else. Even then, most of the immigrants are tradesmen coming to a tech rich country.\n\nAlso our government is more corrupt than one would think with most of the larger corporations being government owned or partnered leading to a monopoly in many industries.

You never mentioned the real reason for Canada's immigration policies. The stated goal of 100 million by the turn of the century. 50 million by 2050. We don't need computer specialists or foreign doctors, we need iron workers, framers, plumbers, electricians, carpenters and especially bricklayers. \nFor example in the case of Doctors: We just need to approve foreign university trained degrees of Canadians who can't get into Canadian Medical Schools and instead go offshore. \nOur Canadian Universities need to ween themselves off the quick cash Liberal Arts teets and focus more on STEM and Small Business occupational training

This Canadian lived in Orange County CA for 10 years. I took my the 12 year old with me. I had been offered my dream job and was paid enough to have a good standard of living. However, I lived in an immigrant community to save money as I found many of the high schools were horrid compared to Canada. I had not realized the school to school inequality to be so extreme and my kid changed to independent study at home. So with a Canadian elememtary education, they graduated high school a year only while skipping no courses..\n\nMy kid had medical issues and even with good HMO insurance, we could never get a decent diagnosis until it had gotten so bad that their digestive system was so wrecked. I finally sent them back to Canada for the surgery that we could not get in the USA. It seemed the insurance companies kept getting in the way. And in one case a doctor went all religious on us. After 6 years of almost continuous pain they finally got relief for a decade until the prior damage came back to haunt them However, after a year of university ib Canada my kid went to a private university in the eastern USA. They have decided to remain in the USA and now in their mid 30s, they make really good money anf have top line medical insurance which pays for the ongoing care they need because of the damage caused by delays when a teenager. \n\nI found life in the suburbs of Orange County nice but the OC is not a good place to meet people. When after 10 years there, in 2010 I returned to Vancouver to care for my elderly mother. I had been living alone for 6 years by then and was offered the first job in Vancouver anything close to me dream job there. and I returned to Canada at age 59. I had been approved for a green card in 2008 but there was a 6 year wait for it to come through. But I noticed the racism in the USA start breaking out all over the place when Obama got elected. And it has gotten worse and worse every year. Especially with 45 enabling it so much. \n\nMy circle of friends in Southern California are mainly good people and not at all like what we call MAGA-hats now. Except one who thinks 45 was the greatest. Politically, the USA is on the path that Germany was on in 1933 and I fear for the US Democracy if the Orange One gets in again. Even my kid and their spouse have bug out plans to head to Canada just in case. This is why my kid, while having a green card has never taken US citizenship. Besides, being a Canadian has not affected things the two times they got security clearances \n\nWhile most Americans are good people, it seems that about 25% have gone just plain loco and care nothing about democracy. And appear to prefer the USA to be a totalitarian theocracy \n\nI was there long enough, paying the maximum FICA taxes for 10 years to get a small pension from Social Security and I have Medicare Part A. I can afford to buy parts B and D but I see no reason. I have even better coverage in Canada for way less cost. The USA has a nice warm climate in many places and I just loved that. But otherwise y'all have too many people who want to turn the place into an intolerant police state and to return the country to 1950s levels of intolerance, So in my retirement, I will stay here in Canada. The part about the banking system is at best a half truth. Canada looked like it came through the 2008 crisis better than the States because the government did not allow a correction in the housing market. Rather, the Canadian government kept the party going with free money, which made the balance sheets of the banks look good, but over time caused housing prices to inflate far faster than household income. The result now is wildly over-inflated housing prices which - coupled with increasing immigration of well to do foreigners pricing Canadians out of the market - has come to the point that many Canadians born in Canada can no longer afford to live there. This in turn exacerbates the brain drain to the USA, which further reduces Canada’s innovativeness and international competitiveness. \n\nHowever, the universe mandates equilibrium, and this house of cards will come down sooner or later. When it does, Canada will be facing a far worse financial and economic crisis than the USA did in the late 00’s, as all of the Big 5 banks will become insolvent.

Canada has been run into the ground by government after government for 40 or 50 years now. Every level of government in Canada serves itself at the expense of the people paying taxes. All government employees have unshakeable job security, unbelievable benefits and pensions, and a total lack of accountability of any kind. Debt has been run up over this period continuously at every government level. In spite of the huge taxes, government continues to borrow ever more money to serve itself.\nI wrote a letter to then Prime Minister Brian Mulroney decades ago asking why the government was continuously running deficits and how did he expect to pay for it all? All I got back in response was a bull$hit form letter. Now with the liberals in government you can see the bloat in government and it's spending increasing even more than under the conservatives.\nThe most frustrating thing about Canada and Canadians is that they keep voting in incompetent and spend thrift governments. It seems that in Canada the dream is to get yourself a cozy government job and just turn into a taker rather than a creator. Do yourself a favour and stay in the US. Trust me, you will regret picking Canada. Our shelter costs here are absurd and we have a government that flirts with communism. We have too big of government, too many regulations, too many taxes. Who would do business in Canada? Name a Canadian company other than shopify. Blackberry... Oh wait its dead. You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Canadians use immigrants as a way of life. The entire country runs on immigrant labor. However when an American moves to Canada, with advanced skills to bring to the table, we are treated like the Indian folks, so we just turn back around and go home.

The Ghanaian girl is very cleaver, she understands the consequences of painting her country bad to foreigners so will always speak good about her country even though in her heart, she she may never go back to Ghana, she will not say such on video because she knows Canadian immigration might also just be watching this video. \nShe also make sure her country is respected by saying she is going back to help build it, in turn she gets respect. \nThe Nigerians on the other hand paint their country so bad, which then creates a horrible picture in most foreigners mind and support the western stereotype of the pitiful, helpless Africans, poor, dirty, starving, war-torn, uncivilised people, running away from corrupt politicians for the west to save them. \nThis is why Africa is not respected because of what her children say about her.

I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. But the principle of the progressive tax system makes sense, because up until recently (2010ish) it prevented the nation's wealth from accumulating at the top and in the process increased the velocity of money.\n\n This enabled business to thrive because money was constantly changing hands instead of being concentrated at the top. \n\nThis had an overall effect of enabling most Canadians to join the middle class and in turn make Canada an attractive destination for many immigrants including your selves \n\nIf Canadian system did not have a progressive tax system, there would be gross inequality with all the associated problems (crime/drugs etc). \n\nI really think prospective immigrants should be realistic about their expectations before moving to Canada to avoid dissatisfaction. \n\nIf you could not be a millionaire in the country you were born in and of which culture you belong, but some how you believe that you can move half a world away and become a millionaire. \n\nYou know part of the reason you could not even achieve middle income statust in Africa (I am from Africa as well) let alone be a millionaire is because all the wealth in most African countries is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt bastards in the government. \n\nThis concentration of wealth at the top is possible when there is no progressive tax system and ensures economic equilibrium in all sectors of the economy\n\nIt is the reason why there is no jobs or opportunity for young people in developing countries \n\nDo not get me wrong you can still be a millionaire in Canada, but you will have to really earn it, there is no shortcuts in life\n\nPatience, passion and perseverance is the key.

A lot of immigrants never had any intention to start a new life here. They want Canadian citizenship so that they have an escape route if things turn nasty back in their own countries. I won't name names but a few recent global hot spots come to mind.

My parents came to Canada in 1957 from England when I was six. They came across all those issues you described in your very accurate assessment of the immigration issue. The most frustrating was that ridiculous “ Canadian experience “ barrier . A catch 22 excuse that defies logic. It’s merely a not so transparent way of giving you a substandard wage for clearly qualified experience. It’s very insulting especially when it’s obvious in many cases that the country you came from has even higher professional standards than Canada. I’m quite shocked to hear this unfair ,discriminatory practice is still operating and naturally turns many excellent immigrants away. Someone should be fired at Immigration Canada for not promoting the abolition of this practice , especially when it comes to doctors ,engineers etc. So wasteful. \nI’ll be following your videos in future. @The Fifth Estate: CBSA? You should clearly say what that is, for it isn't obvious. A search of Wikipedia turned up a page for what's surely meant, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_Border_Services_Agency. I know of Canadian border crossings (between Ca. and the US) so had normal exchanges with some customs officers, but I never knew the name of the agency (of the govt) that they worked for, so CBSA meant basically nothing to me. Otherwise, the overall report is fine, and such illegal immigration tactics must be stopped.
