I think that the indians coming to Canada are hardworking, and integrate into society, Canadian universities have benefited more from them than they have from Canada, Could there be a cap on number of legal immigrants though? Yeah possibly? but then put a cap across various nationalities as well\nHowever one could Argue That millions of Europeans came to Canada and left the natives in poverty, Also the west which loots resources and stuff and then they have to make their living elsewhere \nAre the migrants peaceful? Yes, do they love Canada? Yes\nYou can argue about the volume of immigrants, but then that's the Immigration and Govts fault to a certain extent

As a naturalized Canadian from West Africa, i think it's obvious that White Immigrants from other current first world Countries built Canada to what it is today. All immigrants are not created equal. I know it's ironic coming from me but it's the obvious uncomfortable truth. Oh Canada!

This is also causing Indians of older generations to leave the parents, to live a free lifestyle. who will rasie the children? and who will help the parents when they are too old? 100 years back Christians had the same culture of Indians. Parents, grandparents and babis lived in the same household helping one another. Less cars, less insurance, spliting the costs, no baby sitting fees, no old age homes. Know even in India adopting the west coroporate culture have old folks homes. The media and TV in bed with coroporations have made people selfish that they will not stay together. Indians are in the same postion as whites. The older gen is left to fend for them selves, in the coming gen who will baby sit the kids, they to will get pets, it will be too expensive for them to have kids.

We definitely need more Indians in the West. Indians are hard working and dont whine like certain people. Please keep them coming to Canada!!

If you are unable to integrate into the country you want to go to then don't go to that country. I lived in another country for a period of time and I always respected the rules and customs of that country. The West needs to expect people coming into our countries to respect our customs and laws too.

im a huge advocate of diversity but this is just too much ... I live in Toronto and i lost two jobs to massive Indian immigration and probably counting, because they r desperate n willing to work themselves to the bone for pennies ... u cant compete with that\n\nas i got phased out, every single one of my co workers became indian, as i roam the streets, all i see r indians riding around on ebikes doing delivery, even in china town a lot of the general populace appears to be indian\n\nim unable to find a decent job because everything is flooded with applications\n\nvery important to note that however hard it is to accept, we cannot blame the actual immigrants ... the government/authorities r letting them in, they need to have much stricter control\n\nnever in my wildest dreams have i ever needed to even consider leaving canada, but at this rate this is what it is coming down to ... i dont want to live in a third world country in the west tyvm

look the guy wanted a bunch of money as a tip because he comes from somewhere where tipping is not customary so he brought no change hoping he could keep the rest as a tip.however in the west it is not normal to spend the same amount on tip as you would on all the food if we did this we would pay double for food.

All the west countries should stop giving permanent residency to expats and just give them 5 to 10 year work permit so expats of 'N' number can come here on tourist/visit visa and ger hired on a work permit of 5 to 10 years, have better life in their home country where they are considered first, where they can build big homes without loan and buy cars and save money have better life, and you guys keep your people first. I think we live in such a world that everybody wants to get accepted by others but they don't want to accept others. Coming from a Homosexual, I find that I get often targeted and picked on by muslims living in the west. I find it ironic when you complain about your kids might be getting targeted by others because of their personal beliefs. There is hardly any difference.

They eat the same food as we do and are given all the facilities that we use in including going out to restaurants and other places such as the Zoo or fun parks\nI have lived both in Canada and now in USA and can say without hesitation that the Western way of life is much more human\nThese countries have a much higher level of tolerance for foreigners \nAlso, career wise both countries have given us amazing opportunities \n\nYes we do miss the social life of India, but in big cities of the West that loneliness gap is beginning to shrink as well\n\nLastly we Indians live a life of dual values. Ghar ke andar kuch aur ghar ke baahar kuch- this is not the case with Canadians/Americans.

Most if not all Muslims need to stay in muslim countries,... their only reason for immigrating to no muslim countries it to make the world Islam,... they don't respect anything about other cultures,... a fight is coming to the west,... and it'll take that to change this,... to change the attitudes of muslims.

Coming from Iran I can't believe how medical procedure is so complicated in West. I have lived in Italy for four years and I have cousins in Canada. In Iran despite all the difficulties the maximum time you spend for general doctor under insurance is one hour. As for specialists you usually have to wait for 1.5 hours except for gynecologists which usually takes 3-6 hours. And you can go to any doctor you want depending how busy the doctor is but on average you can book an appointment for a specialist within two to 3 days

Living standard has raised up all around the world, so moving to West is not wow anymore. At least in Canada your kids can consider themselves Canadians. My kids will be forever Ausländer/foreigner in Germany. We face same expensive rents + way more limited career, cause Germans being very close minded. On top we had to learn German - which is very difficult language to begin with it. It is never good enough. Canadians always come to me as nice friendly people. Try have conversation with Germans - always boring and reserved. As soon they hear accent, they backed off.

If the Hindus don't like it, they can study in Mumbai. The students don't need a place to live, they just need NOT go to Canada. However, Canada should be building more houses. I used to teach and coordinate programs for international nurse, this is spot on - and I have always wondered about Canadian students getting into programs - we need Canadian students who are talented and want to study but cannot afford it. There is so much i could unpack. In general, most of the students are lovely and hard-working, but the intent in most cases is to get a PR status - so most of them stay. Many also are disappointed with Canada - as they may come from a place where they were in a different social class. I know many of my students now are productive members of Canadian society working in their chosen fields. I am proud of them - as the move was not easy and they left their families behind. Considering that most of the world is a collectivist culture versus our individualist culture of the West, there is much to adjust to. Good piece.

Something is very rotten in this world.. The governments of these countries heavily criticise The West but at the end of the day, their refugees from their countries come flocking to us for a better life.. Fleeing is easy! If you really want a better life, you need to work hard and push against your leaders to demand that your voice is heard! offering asylum is the humane thing to do yes, but it's not helping solve any problems. Canada is Monolpy Ville, there is Zero choice and zero competition and they keep it that way to control it. From food to the internet to TV you name it, there is NO Choice, Provinces differ hugely, the East is much worse off than the West when it comes to choice.

I would hope you could find happiness in Canada. One of my concerns about living in a theocratic country would always be, is this choice really your own? Can you ever be certain, if faced with violations of your rights, that the choice is really yours? And, if not, can you consider yourselves as choosing Islam, rather than being forced into it, even if in absence of theocratic rule, you would have chosen it anyways? Maybe I’m overthinking it. I have the tendency to do that. I think if I were Muslim, I might choose Tunisia. I’ve known people from Tunisia and it sounds like they’re pretty open-minded, but still obviously predominantly Muslim. I’ve been to Dubai, and while I see many people recommending it, I honestly thought it was the worst combination of East and West. All the commercialization of the West, but none of the democracy. Plus, if you are not native Emiratis, you will always be second class. I’m from the US in what I think is the mini-Canada (ok, the Twin Cities) and we have a big Muslim community, but I’m very concerned Trump will win again in 2024, and I don’t know what will come of it. My daughter is part Afghani, but raised Catholic because her father’s side is irreligious. But I still worry for her, looking like she does and carrying that last name. People are so awful.

If I started complaining that Islam was homophobic or arguing about the hijab that would not have gone well for me.\n\nI think in the West we need to start being much more explicit about our values - such as freedom of speech - and not lose them down to a woke fear of offending minority groups.

But, I think it best for people to align with folks who think like them and have there same values. The West, with all of its problems, does still align with mine. The is no force on religion, and people can believe in who and what they want as long as it does not harm someone else.
