I can’t find the proper words to describe how I’m feeling about the life in Canada! I feel extremely disappointed and angry. EVERYTHING has changed since the early 80s unrecognizably, even the service and how different people treat or mistreat each other!! There is no more courtesy, politeness and human respect in hospitals, government offices, banks, etc. \nThe elected government officials are mostly corrupt, unfit for their duties and pursue only a personal agendas in promotion to a higher level! \nRight now, as of January 2025 we are again expecting endless flows of refugees from Gaza along to anticipated tax increases imposed by Trump. \nI have no more words! I feel that this country becoming a dump with an unbearable quality of life. I am feeling mostly depressed and feel no joy due to current conditions and limited opportunities here. I simple cannot even stand it any more and can’t wait when I would be able to find a new place of my residence outside of Canada!

It’s a disgrace. Citizens who had gone to the U.S. to work are deported, return home heartbroken, and are met with no words of support—only to be told they have no place here. Such cruelty is beyond comprehension. The excuse that they were in handcuffs is absurd. Whether they were criminals or not, if there’s a chance they were treated unfairly in another country, shouldn’t their own government investigate first? A government that can’t even protect its own citizens can hardly be called a sovereign state. Now, these individuals face a future of detention if they return to the U.S. or a life abandoned by their nation, left to wander like outcasts. A president like this is nothing short of a devil.

Don't exert yourself where u r not needed. Blame your own government's corrupt officials for not giving u a suitable place for ur own needs. 'Am not an American n I come fr a third world country w/all its corruptions but I choose to stay because it's my home. My prayers to all of u.

Wrong! It doesn’t cost Americans more when a tariff is placed. It forces the incoming product manufacturer to lower its costs so people will still buy, and if people still buy, the percentage of tariff will fund the us government vs our income taxes. If they don’t lower their costs, they risk people not buying which hurts their business and hurts the country they are in because they don’t make as much money to send taxes to their country’s government

This is a much easier fix than what’s being portrayed. We need to make the ability to become a temporary citizen easier than it is. Background checks, usable skills, and political or criminal affiliation. If it’s not possible to access, so is your entry. I support my president and my nation completely and yet I still understand that the deplorable conditions of these broken nations is something I too would want to escape from. By making it so impossible to legally enter, we’re funding the criminals who will do so illegally. \n And can we talk openly about the real issue as well? It’s time for the U.S to clean house too. Government officials taking bribes from the Cartels and making it harder for us to put safety measures in place. We have to stop being in business with these criminal elements. I get it, the money’s being used to fund our military initiatives that tax dollars can’t, like in the 80’s with Contra, but how many U.S lives have to be lost to secure a foreign policy???

Our president of the United States Donald Trump is back. He’s a man of his word and he means what he says. If you’re legal you’re a citizen you’re not getting nothing from the government free he will not bother you but if you’re not, you better watch out cause he’s coming after you. He’s gonna look at after the US citizens, his families and their selves who’s worked all their life to make America a better place in a safe placeyou can best believe that

May God help them find a way in South America. The USA has many issues that we need to address to progress our government systems. This is a distraction from a much greater problem in this nation because China is far advanced economically. It’s a whole new world over there whiles this country is pledge with the effects or racism and classism. Eventually there will be no middle class. It will be the Elites and the poor no room or opportunity for nothing in between. Racism must stop in order to combat classism. Immigration entitlement is a direct result of the efforts to oppress black Americans by moving them in order to keep us out along with every other major issue America is facing currently. Racism will be the demise of this country. The amount of energy and resources used for anti black racism has pretty much bankrupted this country. Just think about all of the black inventors, intellectuals, and dreamers killed or suppressed whom could have been more of an economical difference in this country to help make it a beautiful place…. The news here makes it sound bad that this is happening but the truly bad thing was allowing them to enter our country in an illegal manor in the first place AND THEN giving them hefty government aid that comes out of the pockets of those of us who pay taxes.

Out of control immigration drives up the cost to buy and rent houses, same issue here in Australia.\nWe can't builld enough houses in Australia to meet the demand. Many building companies went out of business when the price of materials increased but their contract price couldn't.\nCashed up immigrants who can afford higher prices effectively drive locals away from places to live. Homelessness is increasing in Australia.\nThe government then tries to build more social housing and pays the builders higher prices than a person building a private house can afford, which continues to increase the construction cost spiral. We now have $1M+ houses being built for people on welfare who only have to pay a maximum of 25% of their income, and that income is given to them by the government. People are better off being unemployed and living off government benefits and housing than to have a job paying less than $100k/yr.

Blaming immigrants for systemic problems is often misplaced and unfair. Immigrants who work hard and contribute to society, are not the root cause of challenges such as housing shortages, healthcare pressures, or job market competition. These are complex issues stemming from broader systemic factors like government policies, urban planning, and economic strategies.\n\nImmigrants play a significant role in strengthening Canada’s economy. They fill labor shortages, contribute to innovation, and enrich cultural life. However, when governments fail to address structural issues like insufficient infrastructure or support systems, it’s easier for some people to scapegoat immigrants rather than look at deeper causes.\n\nThank God I left Canada in 2022 ... It's not the right place to settle...

Why are such big loopholes left in laws in the first place. A person who has paid so much money for a property and even paid so much in Taxes should not have to wake undue legal battles to get what is rightfully theirs.\nTennants like these should be blacklisted and should also not get any Government aid. They Are undeserving.

The reason is that some Indian finds it difficult to integrates.\n\n I know one Indian lady that have lived in one country for over 20 years and the lady cannot speak the language of that country. In Asia they would be shot. Thats why I have so much respect for those countries. Illegal activity that puts their citizens or their well being at risk will not be tolerated. You do the proper paperwork and you get your visas. Cartels put them crying women and children on them front lines to exploit sympathy from Americans. I support china in this case. They built west on their land. So, no need to travel outside. Rather, west now comes to China. India needs to do the same. We got talent but we are after money. We, Indians, put ourselves down.\n\nThey are;\n1) Out of 100 Indiands traveled abroad either for tourism or business, only 50 returns home, and the rest try to find jobs to live there.\n\n2) Many Indians forge documents or produce fake documents to get visas.\n\n3) Where the Indians go, they bring pan and pan parag items and spit sll over the place, especially the North Indians. South Indians are much better.\n\n4) We, Indians, can go any lower to get a job abroad at low pay. So, we put our own grades down.\n\nThere are numerous examples I know of. Let me cite a few below.\n\n1) In one of the Western countries, a few years ago, a real Punjabi brother and sister who staged fake a marriage, got a marriage certificate, and other documents only to migrate there. The government eventually found put and deported them.\n\n2) Canada deported a few hundred Gujarati students when the US border security found them not speaking in English. On investigation, it was found that they all came with fake IELTS certificate.\n\nThere are many incidents we get to witness the day after the day. So, we can't blame other countries. It's us who made us very cheap in the international market. Because of those Indians, the entire innocent, honest, and talented Indians community is affected.

Behavior of fellow Indians could be the main reason. Most of the people like to remain calm in most of the situations, but Indians take it granted.Talk very lould, play music with out headphones, try to stand before the flight stops, talk in authoritative language, expect immediate solutions when situation arouses, shouting on others, window shopping, disobey certain rules, Bargaining culture at some places where they not supposed to do etc. This behavior we have with us not only in India and we behave the same outside India as well. Government should start a course how they should behave in public places.

Let’s not forget rampant race discrimination in rental housing/ rooms 8of 10 places 1st question is are u Indian or where u from or are u a student ! 500 a month to live in a closet with 4 mattresses on the floor with 3 other people in a run down dump !!! 1st thing, Cad govt is responsible for this bcz they shouldn't have approved their visas 1st. Secondly, if they got approved, they should know they're still foreign and government will never give priority to foreign over legal Canadians. So, plz have always 2nd option ready and always remember your place. Good luck.

I offer to you this grandfatherly advice. Government costs money. Evaluate what it does for and to its citizens. You can live in the most beautiful place in the world, but if you can’t touch anything, why bother? Living in the U S there are 50 states. Most abide by the same federal standards but each state has its own way of doing stuff. Right now Los Angeles is burning. They do not allow the removal of dead vegetation in the vast majority of the state. The state has wildfires every year. They have the highest taxes and the most regulations of all of the states. They also have some of the most beautiful places to live in and otherwise great weather. The exodus of the citizens of California go to states without such high prices and taxes. The demand is increased in these states so housing costs more. Many counties have refugee/immigration increases. They too increase the demand without the supply. To make up for it. Yes I was, after Trump got elected no. Disabled human rights are horrible here and as compensation for lawsuits can be capped in cases that is unlikely to change. I should state the government had to pay me $25,000 dollars for violating my rights (this cost me $35,000+ in legal fees!) so I know of what I speak. It was the same when I moved provinces. In terms of mobility my fate was better in the 4 third world countries I visited after my stroke, there are no busses in loads of places here as we can’t “afford” them. Also I should state the government tried to make me site an NDA that would not allow me to state their behaviour, this should be illegal where government money is concerned! On to health care…. Why do disabled people struggle to get a family doctor when they move provinces? Also why did the mother of a Ukrainian disabled kid have to go back to a country that had been invaded to get help for her child that was having convulsions? She got no help here and her child was in our system by then and her husband has been paying taxes since I got him a job here 3 day a after landing. Yes there are a lot of good Canadians but this situation has become much worse and Canadians are masters at ignoring things. There is a Ukrainian flag flying from my cabin not a Canadian one. I went through this twice during COVID. Two tenants stopped paying one after the other and lost over 50k. Sadly, the only option is to take her to small claims court but in order to do that you need an eviction order and sheriff documents. Even if he does get to that point, they can o lay garnish her wages and at that point, she can avoid paying and jump from place to place changing addresses info and job details. Professional renters know the system and they work it to screw the landlords. One tenant I had actually believed that if they rent the house they “own the home”. Even if you call the police they won’t do anything. If the government just allowed the police to arrest and charge these people I think it would help but they don’t. It’s horrible. I’m actually thinking of selling my home because of the financial burden it’s been post COVID. I have good tenants now but only after using most of the equity to pay off the damage and missed rent from the last 3 tenants….

Besides all the different ethnicities cause unrest and are ungrateful, daring the burn the Canadian flag, uttering death to Canada, death the US and Israel. These trouble makers have not intentions to assimilate into Canada's culture and are disrespectful to the Canadian government and it's citizens. Our youth are very unhappy and do not see a future for themselves yet have to work very hard and pay unbelievable high taxes. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. This is not a country of milk and honey any longer but poor and enormous homelessness. Hunger, terrible health care, incredible post secondary tuitions and books. Now that president Trump has won the election he is going to place tariffs on Canadian goods and rightfully so. Russia is very interested in the Antarctica and should they or anyone invade Canada we got 3 days of ammunition. The food in AB is very bad for your health. Everything has pesticides, hormones, and by the time fruit and vegies arrive here from the US all the nutrition have gone. A extremely high cancer rate, young and old, diabetes, depression and other mental disorders are rampant. Our children and grandchildren do not have a future so why bother going to school or work. Our kids live on the streets, shelters, camping in the woods and using fentanyl and meth all kinds of dangerous drugs. The cities and small towns are full of used needles, pipes, and more paraphelia just thrown on the trails everywhere. The US will not assist Canada when a possible War 3 will occur, and we the people of Canada and the land are easy prey. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. Our government take better care of these illegal people than their own people especially our youth. So please let us not pretend Canada is a land of opportunity and great. We have to vote for the right leader who will have a very difficult time and challenges to overcome if at all possible and make Canada Great Again!

Vancouver resident here - I live a couple blocks away from a college, and can confirm that the student populace not only exploded but is almost exclusively Indian and it wasn’t gradual. \n\nPersonally, this seems to be the most egregious of it because aside from the sheer numbers, they don’t seem to be making the area any less safe or being a nuisance. And at those numbers, they patronize nearby businesses, helping the local economy. Can’t complain about that.\n\nHome prices have been out of control for decades, and so have hospital wait times - these are Canadian problems for which the Indians are merely a recent contributor (if at all). \n\nThe issues Canadians are facing from the influx of Indian seeking education and/or PR’s are under the jurisdiction of Canada’s Trudeau government - a group that is facing deep criticism amongst Canadians. They are now trying to placate us by walking back over the Indians they welcomed here in the first place. \n\nAnd that action subsequently (though not intentionally) gives justification for Canada’s most deplorable citizens to place blame on said Indians and discriminate freely. \n\nHaving said that, the main issue Vancouver locals have that is that (once again due to the Trudeau government) we seem to have imported a violent form of Indian politics that cause blood to be spilled on our streets - I don’t know the details between the sides, just want that sh!t shut down. I would love to see the Canadian and Indian governments cooperate to remove violent activists from our streets.

Low skill and low wage might have been ok when costs were low - low food prices, low energy prices, low housing and rental costs, etc. Now that everything is incredibly expensive, Canada is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wages will go up (which have been fairly stagnant for the last 30-40 years) so that it goes above and beyond inflation, OR you will not be able to bring in low skill, low wage labor. Simply put, when rents are $3000 a month in Toronto, minimum wage of $15/hr is $2500/mth (before taxes). Add another $1000/mth for food, and $500/mth for other expeditures - and you can see that just to survive - a person in Toronto needs a minimum of $4500/mth to not be on the streets. And this is IFF they are not married and have kids which can easily drive expenses to $6000/mth\n\nSo... for someone to just live normally, they need a bare minimum of $30/hr for 2000hr/year - this is a salary of $60K before taxes!\n\nBut the median income in Canada is 35K to 40K (it's on your tax return which determines if you get extra help from the government).\n\nSo... with these prices - you will never get low wage workers here... period. You can't expect immigrants to work as slaves and then pull your country out of the mess you created by spending money on useless programs like a drunken sailor.\n\nCut costs, cut taxes, cut inflation (stop printing money), cut useless programs (ala DOGE in the US), allow housing to crash, diversify your economy, invest in start ups and entrepreneurs, increase salaries, scrap the carbon tax, etc. Notice - none of these have anything to do with immigration.

I see no flaw in their logic,\n\nThe truth is that I believe that the bad strategies implemented by the government, and the lack of regulation, harmed everyone who wants to do things well. I don't want to offend anyone, but it is totally illogical that a country as popular as Canada has not put these measures in place before, which are not brutal, they are basic. \n\nThink that most countries in the world do not allow an international student to work 24 hours a day. Furthermore, the level of fraud for admission to colleges and universities is very high, many students do not even go to classes...and do not even pass the language filters. Added to the agencies that promoted the lie that if you studied two years at college, you would get the PR :S, NOBODY DID ANYTHING.

It seems to me better than punitive percentage tariffs is that each foreign country can buy American products first from tracked like product categories. The United States Counts how many units of that type of United States made product was bought first by a foreign  country. Then United States consumers, or companies are allowed to buy the same matching unit count of foreign products from like categories.  In this way no foreign company selling into the United States can fluid the United States Market with cheap foreign government subsidized goods. In this tracked unit count system of fair trade one American made unit sale for one foreign made like unit sale can take place.

The people have spoken. Border counties filled with legal immigrants but flooded with violent illegals voted for Donald Trump because they are living the nightmare created by Mexico and the Biden administration, that these media and political hacks theorize about. The Mexican government has failed its people by allowing the Cartels to fill their pockets with billions every year. \nMexico is also working with China to funnel Chinese goods through Mexico in an attempt to bypass tariffs and flood the American economy with cheap Chinese goods. She made this statement publicly as a shakedown tactic instead of talking directly to President Trump. Her actions should tell you all that you need to know about these political puppets. In conclusion, Tariffs are affective because these greedy American and Foreign corporations use cheap labor to make cheap goods that they then sell for major profit. Tariffs tend to make these companies movie to America create American Jobs and pay higher American salaries which are a significant savings over tariffs. The companies lose considerable profits but they gain market share because they understand that when you raise the price of goods you only make the American alternative more appealing.

I live in Canada for last 48 years, and it’s a wonderful place, but problems started when liberal government started giving “immigrants” free money, that was burdened on the system.. and Chinese were buying houses in Vancouver and left them empty.. we don’t have corporations, bribery but values of time is very important… yes we do have some problems with economic issues… hopefully will get sorted out when new government will come next year.. not with EVM

First of all Canada and America are European colonization countries. Because of their sense of superiority they managed to genocide and wipe out the culture of the indigenous natives of that place and replace it with their own. In the case of PQ it is not the Federal Government that 'allows' that. PQ are under the Napoleonic system of government dating back to early France, there are many large differences between PQ laws and the rest of Canada. France also does not allow religious displays in the work place.

Well, Trump announced declaring a National Emergency, and Deploying the U.S. Military to help with mass deportation, so there is a very strong reason to believe they intend to do just that. If they see it as a credible threat as of being destabilizing, as is to one of the main reasons of restrictions on immigration in the first place, to avoid overpopulation, or population control. Fundamentally speaking, 7-8 Billion people cannot all live in the lower 48 states of America ??. You have to regulate immigration for fundamental reasons. It’s the responsibility of the government, and more specifically or in any immediate scenario the current administration’s responsibility to address the current immigration status, that’s why it changes from administration to administration, to address the current status on immigration. If mass deportation is what is required to stabilize the situation, then that’s what they will do, and they will do whatever they have to do to accomplish that, depending on the critical nature of it. If Trump announces a NATIONAL EMERGENCY ‼️, and Deploys the Military then it’s critical. Regardless of who is in the White House. Trump is just putting his twist on it as Trump, but the government as a whole sees , or the majority more specifically see it as necessary to correct the imbalance.

They fled Poland to work in America. Now there is no longer a safe place to go like they had in their day.

The poor students who should not have been allowed in Canada in the first place. My heart goes out to them. They are the biggest losers in this situation. The schools taking advantage of the system and these students should be closed down and held accountable! The government in India should also do something about the recruitment agencies promising easy PR pathways. What they are doing is illegal!
