Last year, Walmart Canada reported gross revenue of $6 billion, up 1.8% from the previous year. \n \n In 2022, Home Depot brought in approximately 12 billion Canadian dollars of sales. \n \n Costco In Canada and through its international ventures the company generated 34.9 billion and 35.3 billion U.S. dollars, respectively. \n \n you get the point. \n \nThis is scary \n \nA foreign company in Canada does not have a specific time frame to keep its profits in a Canadian bank; however, according to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), most business records, including profits, must be kept for a minimum of six years from the end of the last tax year they relate to. \n \nKey points to remember: \n \nNo legal restriction on withdrawal: \n \nThere is no law that forces a foreign company to keep its profits in Canada for a specific duration. \n \nThis is just a few of the companies from the US that take $100 billion+ out of our economy every year and put it in US banks. why do we let them. they should keep that money in canada. interest rates for loans would go down. \n \n \nAI Overview from google \n \nWhen banks have more money, interest rates tend to go down. This is because a larger money supply increases the amount of credit available, which lowers the cost of borrowing.

As a Canadian..i'll say this. Our country is a bad shape right now...and the countless 'extra' people, mostly indians, are not helping. We need immigration. I am not against it. But I am against illegal migration and resource sucking. There is no legit vetting process anymore. Countless indians are being given visas that were granted on bogus claims on their documents. Fake education records...fake employement records. Then they get their visa...and don't go 'home' when it expires. Then they have what indians like to call 'anchor babies'....so that their baby has Canadian citizenship and then they hope that pity will be taken and they, the parents, won't be shipped home. They don't assimilate and totally disregard our way of life. It is appauling.

Hmmmmm. I was thinking of invading America but it’s a little confusing. My family goes back over 200 years in Canada but my great great great great great grandfather was born in New York in 1766. He married a girl from New Jersey then moved to York ( Toronto) some time in the 1790’s. His son though is recorded as being born in New York. Can I claim a right of return as a refugee? Is the Presidential Suite at the New York Hilton available of course paid by you? I’d also like the latest iPhone 16 Pro in Midnight blue to match the new Tesla I want. I’ll be over tomorrow.

Ideally we would help innocent asylum seekers while banishing the criminals, but it would take time to sift through each identity and record.

India is the source of 200,000 to 750,000 illegals (many fly in as visitors or overstay student and work visas) - it would take tens of thousands of flights to send them back. \n\nVia GROK\nEstimates of the number of people from India living in the US illegally vary depending on the source and methodology. As of mid-2022, the Pew Research Center estimated there were about 725,000 undocumented Indian immigrants in the US, making them the third-largest group after those from Mexico and El Salvador. The Migration Policy Institute (MPI) provided a slightly higher estimate, suggesting around 11.3 million unauthorized immigrants total in the US as of mid-2022, with India being one of the top countries of origin, though exact numbers for Indians alone were not isolated in that figure. However, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported a lower number, estimating 220,000 unauthorized Indians in 2022, down from a peak of 560,000 in 2016.\n\nThese differences highlight the uncertainty in tracking this population, as methods rely on survey data, border encounter statistics, and assumptions about overstays versus illegal crossings. For context, US Customs and Border Protection recorded 90,415 encounters with Indian migrants at the borders in fiscal year 2024 (October 2023 to September 2024), indicating ongoing illegal entry attempts, though not all encounters reflect people who remain in the US.

The USA is going to be a normal country where they have people apply vs walk in. Thats what they do in most countries. They will also review records looking for skills. They dont want random people walking in. And the USA spent 20 billion to support many of of the people who walked in and did not get work right away. \n\nChaos is not kind to people. An american can not walk into Germany and just start living. Visa is first step. Then citizenship application which is very carefully checked. They dont want random

For the undocumented that are here working, paying taxes and have no criminal record let’s figure out a path to citizenship.

We really don't know all the details, or what their records were, or how they came to be here. It's hard to completely judge the matter because they're not giving us all the facts. But I do uphold humane treatment of people. personally it gives me chills. Reminds me of images of the African slaves.

Its corporate greed which has trickled down into all areas of life. Rents, property values etc etc. No government can fix it in a democracy because capitalism gives greed the platform. Record profits during covid says it all. Recessions give a partial temporary reboot and depressions are devastating and take a long time to recoup from. I live in a rural small town, retired, own my house and debt free . Low property tax and affordable housing and rents but in the Maritimes. Cities are the worst to survive in. I feel for all that are struggling but Canada is a great country and better than most but one must be willing to relocate to areas that they can afford to live in and still have steady work.

All illegals from every country will be deported. If they have criminal record, they get Gitmo. Or El Salvador prisons. So if you have a criminal record, best deport yourself.
2025-02-05 0
We certainly do not want any of these low-rent criminals in our country!\nOnly the brightest and the best, well educated with clean records.

For the record: we don’t care if you’re in the cockpit. We don’t want you in our bathrooms or sports teams. Signed, most women. Thanks

The person recording himself behaved disrespectfully towards an Indian delivery executive. This individual's actions reflect poorly on them. The Indian diaspora is diverse, and individual behaviour is shaped by upbringing and education. Such racist antics gives a negative impression of Canada.

Personally, I understand where Trump is coming from in the context of deportation. However, there is a slight error in the entire scenario.\n\nThe law enforcements are picking up both documented, and undocumented immigrants, and that basically translates to something sinister attached to the whole thing.\n\nI would do it differently (Treat Each Case Separately) because not every foreigner in America is undocumented, and illegal. The records are there. America is good at keeping records.

From NW WA on the border. We support USBP. All illegal aliens criminal or not out now! Those with a clean record otherwise can apply for a temporary work permit upon voluntary leaving.

America is considered the power house of democracy and human rights they are double standard. They where supposed to do a constitutional process of checking every illegal immigrant their personal circumstances if they had criminal records and how long they stay in the United States and what they do in the united states if they had any children and family in the united states, help to document those they see fitting then deport criminals of course. Imagine the kind of trauma it brings you leave your wife and kids in united states

Exaggeration, scaring people instead of realising ICE agents actions are only now being followed/ recorded/ reported. There hasn’t been a massive increase as yet. It is increasing but will be costly and will take time.

CNN news story video request: \nThe Department of Homeland Security widened its investigation into migrant children found cleaning slaughterhouses and is now working with the Justice Department to examine whether a human smuggling scheme brought migrant children to work in multiple slaughterhouses for multiple companies across multiple states, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the investigation. \n\nIt’s no secret that billions of individual animals will be killed this year to satisfy America’s dairy and flesh addictions. At the slaughterhouse, they’re often scalded to death or dismembered while they’re still conscious. Because slaughter lines move quickly and many workers are poorly trained, stunning animals with a captive-bolt gun often fails to render them unconscious. As one slaughterhouse worker charged with cutting off the legs of conscious cows explained to The Washington Post, “They die piece by piece.”\n\nWorkers often become sick or are injured because of the unsafe and unsanitary working conditions of these gruesome facilities. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) records show that about 17 “severe” accidents occur each month in U.S. slaughterhouses. Approximately two slaughterhouse workers have a limb cut off by slaughterhouse machinery each week. It’s not uncommon to hear of workers losing an eye, fracturing their fingers, or suffering from head trauma.\n\nOSHA indicates that U.S. slaughterhouse employees are 3 times more likely to sustain a serious injury than the average American worker. People who work in pork and beef plants are nearly 7 times more likely to develop repetitive strain injuries. According to news reports, two-thirds of workers on Upstate New York dairy farms have reportedly sustained at least one workplace injury, and many say they’re told to work through illnesses and injuries. An Oxfam America report reveals that chicken plant workers fear that they’ll be fired if they take “unscheduled” bathroom breaks, so many wear diapers.\n\nWe can all help stop the abuse and exploitation that occur in slaughterhouses simply by going plantbased and speaking out against all the cruelty and injustice of animal slave farming industries.
