For all the crap Canadians were talking about Trudeau, as a Canadian I’m so proud to have a leader like him for our country. And I think most Canadian’s have now changed their mind about him

Aside from this being how a world leader should speak & act, everything Prime Minister Trudeau spoke about is true. I'm American so idk the ins & outs of why he resigned but from here he's doing Canada ?? proud. Its gut wrenching that us Americans are stuck with the ? oompa loompa we have sitting in the Oval office. Trump has not only stomped all over our constitution, he's broken several laws along the way.

I've always felt we looked up to American ideals ideas and this is why we felt strong to stand with America with many things. I've sometimes not been happy with our Prime Minister but he left a mark, and I'm proud our country is more united but I'm sad at what cost. I hope this is short lived.. Watching in Hungary/Slovakia: Amazing speech - hope it's understandable also to many Americans. They need to understand it before they feel the impact of Trump's trade war w/ his frm allies. I'm an 80 year old Navy veteran and I am ashamed to be an American. My wife and I walked out of a concert a week ago when the band started playing Proud to be an American. Americans are oblivious to the shit storm coming our way. They thought the economy was bad based on egg prices of $5 a dozen. You ain't seen nothing yet.

I'm European, but I lived in Canada for a couple of months and actually got to see Trudeau speak live in Parliament. He gave a very different speech that day - a eulogy. I did not think then I would ever hear this man this very obviously pissed off. He's like one of those teachers that don't need to shout to show their students they are in big trouble. I don't know if I would vote for him if I was Canadian, but I would certainly be proud of him right now.

That part of this song “I’m proud to be an American” went cold. Half of us “Americans” voted for this. We were warned and informed on their plans because of our own insecurity on certain issues blinded us on the bigger picture. When I was growing up in Canada, hearing of someone being a “Proud American” was something I admired. Today it’s a punch line to a joke about the American education system. They have nothing left to be proud of, and I’m so thankful to be from this country instead. Trump administration or not, the American people can not be trusted to vote in their own self interest, let alone the interests of the allies that stood with them for the last century and who have lost lives sending men and women over seas to answer the American call for friendship, justice, and loyalty.
