Canadian government has to adopt Australian model for immigration and student visa. I lived in Australia and in 2009 indian students protested against Australian immigration policy , Within 6 months of crackdown 1200 low quality colleges were shut down by government and thousands of international students including me were Struggling and left Australia but that was i think good for Australia. Same needed to be done by Canada. 70% of students come to earn money and do 2-3 jobs and Canadians are struggling while employers getting cheaper labor and making money..

The racism card gets pulled out so easily. But something I tell my Australian friends is this, if I wanted to be surrounded by Chinese? I would have moved to China but I moved to Australia to be in Australia. Same goes for India Sri Lanka etc. but of course you gonna say that's racist.. diversity and multicultural is fine, when there is a fine balance not a flood of one race... When migrants take our jobs that's not a good thing. You don't see Aussies flooding China and you don't see Aussies flooding India either.

Many Indians are scammy, cheat and take advantage of the system that ruins it for the rest of them and many still have a class system culture that many Australians can't stand so don't what to deal with them as have low trusts for them gain by previous interactions

Australia is CONSIDERING limiting students access in MAJOR cities and encorage them to study instead in Australian regional areas, as I said, this is BULLSHIT and is not truth!

Eastern countries culture will never be watered down, yet we aren’t allowed to keep our westernised countries. I have no issue with being a multi-cultural country (Australia), however I take issue with multiculturalism. Immigrants of the past, would move to a westernised country and adopt the culture, lifestyle , mix with the locals and be proud to be one of them, that’s a multi-racial society. Multiculturalism on the other hand is Muslims and Indians etc that are known for not assimilating, instead living in enclaves and recreating their home country within our country. Why should these people who have zero interest in our culture , people and way of life be welcomed into our westernised countries where all they care about is using our resources? It’s absolutely absurd our governments allow this to happen! In Australia, Indians are the second highest intake, soon to be number one. There are so many of them, soon Australia will be India and Australians of all nationalities will be the minority in our own country. They buy up all the food businesses in the area, and fire all the non-Indians, they take up all the jobs in IT and low paying jobs due to being cheap labour. In teams, they ostracised the non-Indians on the team. Aussie suburbs now look like parts of India with them having multiple local fb networking groups where hoards of them take over the local park, playing their music loudly on the weekends. Ignorant people see them as mild mannered, they don’t see the dangers of how racist they can be to non-Indians and how rapidly they take over areas. When they become the majority in Australia, the non-Indians are going to be pushed out of their country. Unlike other migrants (with the exception of Muslims) they refuse to blend in and co-exist and become Aussies. They plan to overtake and destroy our countries into versions of their home country hell holes.

Canada needs to (should) follows Australian decisions, right disconnect after work hours. I hate calling and text messages everyday from employers and managers. Canada needs new rules to protect employees.

I have worked in Australia, Europe - UK and Germany before moving to the US for my master's degree and worked there for many years. Then moved to India and then to Canada. If you are a tech worker, there is no country in the world more accepting than the United States. Period. \nIn US, people respect your talent than what ethnic background or linguistic background you have. People are more tolerant and accepting, and even let you go up the ladder. Thats why many Indian CEO are leaving US companies while Americans don't mind. \nEuropeans and Australians are the most racist people I have encountered, who have little to no empathy even towards highly skilled workers paying heavy tax in their county. \nIt is better to work for your whole life in the United States on work visa, than living in Australia/Europe/Canada as their citizens.

Americans, Canadians and Australians occupied the lands from natives. They are auslanders and outsiders themselves. Europeans have right to worry about immigrants as they are sitting on their own lands.

As an Australian, except for Quebec, which was awesome, I found the rest of the country, especially Toronto, to be an absolute shithole.

In the 1970s I worked for CP Air in Sydney - I found the Canadian management to be THE ABSOLUTE most racist people I have ever met!!! And the worst part was that they were so much less qualified that the Australian workers.

I know Australia and Canada sort of exchange populations/workers fairly easily, I know some Lads I worked with in the Mines working at Rio Tintos Diamond mines up near Yellowknife and also some driving long distance Trucks in Canada so Australia might be an easy option but it has all the same problems as Canada ie a Globalist Tyrannical Government seemingly set on a plan to replace its native population with 3rd world slave workers (Like Rome did 2000 years ago right before it collapsed), High taxes, stupid housing prices and increasing crime from the recently imported slave populations.\nThere are several things that might make Australia's experience less a dramatic collapse than Canada's, The Australian Native population are more fighty or less agreeable than Canadians (higher testosterone) and less partial to totalitarianism, the Drug thing isnt legal here yet, a high amount of Migration is from North or South East Asia ie these populations are less criminal and more similar to the traditional European values Australia had ie hard work, low crime etc.\nMany Australians (mainly Men) are leaving for South East Asia where an absence of Civilization Destroying Feminism makes having a family and a future viable once again.\nGood luck with your search/adventure.

When I was a young man ( Australian ) and travelled overseas I noticed Canadians wearing the maple leaf proudly on their backpacks. I understood why Canadians wanted to make it known that they weren’t from the USA. But now, you won’t get a pass.

So many Canadians in the same situation — perhaps use your Canadian passport ? so many better places for you to be… find a nice job across the border in the US — it’s so easy to get a TN work Visa, or work tax free in the UAE, or build a nice career in Singapore. I had the same problem with Australia — it’s my home, and my heart will always fondly call it home forever. Australia is a big country with small job market, generally ignorant (but nice) people and limited economic diversity. One gets proper civic amenities only in either Melbourne or Sydney e.g., top notch medical care, a wide variety of groceries etc. Taxation is very high and although some people will tell you “we are well taken care of…” that is not true nowadays. The Australian Government’s policies over the last 40 years destroyed manufacturing, the economy, working conditions and inflated the property market. A reasonable 2-bedroom apartment in a Sydney suburb could cost you Au$2000-3000 in rent or Au$500,000+ to buy — and that goes higher as you get closer to downtown Sydney. The problem is that incomes are not high enough in Australia and housing quality is less than average overall for these ridiculous prices. Food, tolls and petrol cost a lot, although Sydney and Melbourne’s fresh food markets give you better prices than you’ll find in most other cities. My wife and I had a combined income of over Au$300,000/year while we lived there. We finally left Australia and moved to the US because even with our relatively high income we could only have an average house for around Au$1.8 million, we couldn’t fill up the tub and have a proper bath because of water restrictions, our kids would get an average schooling and their only dream in life would be to one day own a house. We didn’t want to live like that, so we wrapped up and left for good. The US is much better for skilled people — I don’t mean plumbers, tilers, roofers or landscapers, although life is good for them too. I’m sure someone will reply to this comment about the gun violence in the US. All I can say is that in the US we have the option to defend ourselves whereas in Australia we are expected to quietly die if someone kicks us in the head, stabs us or shoots us. Quality of life is good here in the US for me and my family. Fly free, mate!

We are not anti immigration. We welcome western EDUCATED, intelligent, motivated, EMPLOYABLE European, Australian, Scandanavian, and Japanese people. We want the best of the best.

40 to 50 hours a week? I work that in Australia as an Australian. Indian universities aren't necessarily recognised overseas. Even then I've worked with many as engineers and got uber rides from many just as an example. Different cultural system. This is just my personal experience. \n\nYou have to remember that India has been studied as on of the most intolerant countries in the world. I've never got that impression from the majority of other nationalities I've worked with. You can look up the worldwide studies that rank India so high for intolerance easily. These are large surveys. \n\nEnd of the day when you have large immigration spikes without infrastructure it is doomed and you will get a lot of misplaced hatred towards immigrants as low to middle class locals rents/ house prices explode. Not to mention the low skilled jobs that immigrants will do cheaper. \n\nImmigration is a cheap way for developed countries to increase GDP. This has always been the deal with immigration. A Canadian citizen of British roots will come to you in 2024 complaining about immigration that made his life miserable.. forgetting that his ancestors were immigrants themselves 200 yrs ago. They have done the same thing here in Australia. Immigration tap is on full bore, basically zero housing available, 10-20 immigrants crammed into each house. We have Australian's earning 6 figure incomes sleeping in their cars because there is just no homes available (even if they can afford it). Our governments hate us with a passion.

Great assessment. My wife left Vancouver 22yrs ago. It was bad then and has only gotten worse. Sadly the residents would rather smoke a joint than vote for a conservative govt and attend a church. Forget about GOD can't be surprised when he forgets about you. That said Australia is not much better and getting worse by the day. One advantage Canada has compared to, say, Australians or New Zealanders, is that they can cross the border and purchase certain things cheaper in the United States (best of both worlds). Almost all Canadians live close to the border.
