I appreciate Prime Minister Trudeau! And I have much respect for Canada! ?? ? \nI’d like to see us recover relations with our allies and strengthen communication so we all can work together toward peaceful resolutions. This will help trade as well as climate concerns. \nIt Certainly Can Be Done! We must bring the best communicators to the table. \n(And begin with prayer because all peace begins with God!) ??️?

Justin Trudeau's drug policies in Canada have been a disaster and now he pretends he is concerned about Fentanyl [a member of the class of drugs known as fentanyls, rapid-acting opioid (synthetic opiate) drugs that alleviate pain without causing loss of consciousness (analgesic). Fentanyl depresses central nervous system (CNS) and respiratory function. Exposure to fentanyl may be fatal.] going into the United States. He is a lame-duck Prime Minister on his way out of political life let alone public office as Prime Minister of Canada. His poll numbers were miserable and he was not supported within many in his own cabinet because of his divsisive decisions with Alberta, female MPs and hypocritical and harmful actions and words as well as broken promises to the Canadian Tax payers.

If your saying is true then why are you the most concerned? ?

Trump is concerned about the supply of fentanyl from Canada and Mexico but has done nothing about its inexhaustible demand by Americans. No policy to discourage Americans from consuming it.

We understand. We live just south of Lake Superior. We don't want this either but it's important that no country should bow to the United States. Let us be clear- Our president lack moral character and integrity and is no more trustworthy than Putin. Trump isn't concerned about Fentanyl, because if he was, he wouldn't be gutting the agencies that track it.

Trump’s actions make me embarrassed to be an American. He does not represent who we are or what we believe. As far as I’m concerned, he is a rouge, traitorous, self serving, pathological lying cancer on our country and on the world.

Its a grand spectacle to see him speak. At just about the time other circumstances are turning an unknown corner Canada,yes Canada has now spoken up about something credible and concerning. Canada might as well now that some savior from Europe will emerge from a broken chair and claim to be the broker of peace and prosperity. As for me there is only one savior and HE knows the time and places. And his name is not what youve known it to be. Individual realtionships with HIM are all youve got. Goodluck everyone. Don’t let his BS fool you! Look around in your own communities. Look at the health care system. How many do you know that don’t have a GP so can’t get proper care even though they are sick. The ER tells us we have to have a general practitioner to get anything done! And then there are communities like on Vancouver Island that have closed ER’s in many cities leaving the injured to drive for 2 to 4 hours to the nearest ER. Have any Canadian citizens not heard of fentanyl deaths? Or had someone within 6 people from them have related addiction issues. How many homeless people wander the streets of your communities? This list goes on and on including things like affordable groceries , affordable homes , affordable utilities! \nACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS! Do Justin Trudeau and his parties actions over their term in office really covey their concern for Canadian citizens? I say NOT!

I am Canadian, and I want to speak to the USA, as a concerned citizen who valued the relationship that we once had between our two countries: please realize that we do NOT want to declare this as any form of “attack”, that these are solely defensive measures against your current administration’s lack of respect towards us as a people and as a country. \n\nPlease rest assured that we KNOW that not all of you voted for Trump, that there are those of you who realize what your current president is truly doing and do not support it. This is NOT about fentanyl. This NOT about money and how much each country was giving whom. We had a respectable trade deal that we were following, previously signed by Trump. We have always had a positive relationship together, business-wise and friendship-wise. Please also realize that, once your administration is no longer in control of our narratives in such a destructive manner, or it gets replaced by one that reverses this destructive policy, we will definitely reconsider our former relationship and we will work towards rebuilding it. \n\nIt is unfortunate for both sides here. We are aware of that. But “Canada Strong” is our way to remain forever a sovereign and free nation. Nothing more, nothing less. Always remember that.

We need to have uprising against Trump! He in no way represents the morals or concerns of the people in our country. He is mentally unwell and has no ability to make good decisions. He should NOT be President of our country regardless of political alignment!

50% of Americans didn't want this either but thank you for wearing a suit so Trump can take your concerns and suggestions seriously. 50% of Americans are now fashion designers and follow blindly until our current administration policies effect them negatively.

In Europe, we feel exactly the same. This administration's loyalties lie along their confiscated party lines, and they are not for the American people despite their domestic narrative.\nThey are really the enemy from within for the US. He plans to gut the US and steal as much money as possible before doing I know not what else. We are sick with worry and concern for ourselves. Canada is also our closest leech. By all rights you shouldnt even be an independent country. You're the second biggest country in the world, you have the 28th largest military. United States will take parody with Canada as far as tariffs are concerned. We just want fair trade. The deals signed by United States were bad deals. We just want fair and even trade. Sorry to burst your bubble guys - the Canadians are full of bluster. This guy is a loser. All Trump haters have found a straw to hang on to even though it borders on being traitorous. These Canadians boo at our National Anthem….and have never stopped hating us. Until now they have been polite about it…but deep down they have harbored envy and strong dislike of Americans. As far as I am concerned, they can take a fricking hike.

There's many reasons not to like Trudeau up here in Canada, many of which are the reason he'll (rightfully) no longer be the PM next week. As a conservative I hated him for SNC-Lavalin (among other scandals), and the fact that his inexperience with the economy Harper left him is probably part of why this trade war is going to hurt more than it could have, and the fact that he's often been kind of a phony more concerned with looking and sounding good for the press cameras. Not this time. Nothing phony here; I've got to give credit to him for capturing the national mood pretty much perfectly with this speech. Good on him. \n\nAnd congratulations as well to Donald for pretty much handing the Liberals their best shot at a fourth term, too. What an absolute idiot. As a Canadian, here's my biggest concern. The whole border thing was nothing more than a ruse. Trump has cozied up to Putin ... basically, he's Putin's poodle. He's tossed Ukraine to the wolves. (Though, I think Europe and Canada will increase their efforts to help Ukraine.) My fear is Trump will find some way to justify sending American troops into Canada to simply seize the resources he wants but is unwilling to trade for.

I am in the US. While it will hurt all concerned, I hope Canada and Mexico go to the mat on these tariffs. We have got to get people to turn against Trump and to attempt to teach him to stop this chaos . Impossible, I know.

Good speech but it is better to address the rightful concerns expressed by Trump and his Commerce Secretary, in an indoor meeting and adjust Canada’s policies where it can be done easily in partnership with U.S. Diplomacy and honesty is needed, not posturing! \n\nTrump is here to stay for 4 years with full powers and working with him after initial show off of resistance is the key to reduce pain for both sides.

What a striking contrast between a real leader and someone who is only concerned with bilking an entire country for his own benefit. Follow the $$$. Trump has sold the lie that tariffs will pay for many great things. 1-It's a direct-to-consumer tax. 2-History has proven that tariff wars are bad for all concerned. P.S. Warren Buffet recently said that if all US corporations paid taxed like his companies do, We'd have no need for income taxes. Trump works from the other end of the tunnel that Ideally no taxes for corporations, and the wealth will trickle down and bless us all.
