Why is everyone surprised Canada has immigration laws??? We do not hate ppl who want a life in Canada but you need to inform yourself properly before actually showing up here.Canada’s immigration system is not unnecessarily strict like the us, but that doesn’t equate to anyone coming here. There is no false hope. Also Vancouver is literally the worst place for an immigrant/ refugee to start their lives; way too expensive.

Im not from Europe and I don't hate muslims since some of my relatives are muslims. I just don't understand WTF is wrong with these muslim patrol when in fact they're not from London anyway? They are immigrants there and should never impose by force their religious beliefs to people who aren't the same religion that they belong to. I’ve had uncomfortable interactions in retail stores here in Australia, because I’m a young mum (well not anymore but I have been, I had one baby at 19,21,25 and 27). Purely because they perceived me as a skank and drain on the tax payer to them. I’ve had someone ask if I had a concession card (low income/singles) and when I said “no” they’ve said “really?” Or asked me again as though I didn’t hear them. I’ve had people ask if my children all had the same dad. I would hate to think of how that would be exacerbated if I was a person of colour. I never judge anyone on first impressions but a lot of people do. It’s really sad.

It is NOT just race. Depending on the bag or backpack you carry, you get followed, which I hate. And I'm not black. My mother also gets followed everywhere in every Macy's store. It drives me crazy. It's really annoying, because I think it's because my mom has big purses and I usually have my art backpack. \n\nWhen I'm in a different town, I get followed in Walmart all the time. If I forget my shopping bags, I will empty my backpack so I can use that to put all my items in at the end of the purchase.\n\n In Best Buy, I'm lucky to get anyone to help me at all!!! I have to hunt someone down, and most of the time, they don't know anything anyway. Target: I have a hard time finding anyone to help me as well. I haven't really done a social experiment, but sometimes I just have my shopping bags and fill them as I shop and I won't carry a purse.\n\nLocally, I don't get followed because my family and me are known in that town. We know a lot of people and my face is everywhere. I never get followed. But out of town Walmart, I get followed in certain stores. It irritates me immensely, especially since I buy a lot of make up and the make up department is cramped they way they block the end of the aisles. It makes it really hard to turn your cart around when other people are in the same aisle. Then they close the make up aisle even though they have tons of cameras all over!! \n\nOverall, I don't know WHERE these backhanded compliments are coming from. I normally hear stuff about my weight. Nothing about race ever. Nor do I ever hear others talking about race. Weight seems to be the hot topic always.\n\nI also find it weird that the one guy feels like he needs to apologize!

My father is an atheist. All my surroundings are muslim. We argue sometimes about religion but mostly for the sake of discussion not a fight. But don't get fooled by the number of muslims here, we do not allow  any religious fundamentalism in our country. \nAnything that is not a part of our culture in Islam is being rejected. Like we do not allow kids to wear hijabs at school. Religious speeches are not allowed in schools and secular institution. Yet we have a growing number of mosques (all under strict control of our government) \nSo if kept as a religious community, where people help each other overcome the hardships of life, practice it moderately without pushing to anyone it is possible to have adescent muslims, but in no way it should be in contact with Middle Eastern ideologist that treats Western civilization as an enemy. \nYou guys need to separate british muslims and mosques from Middle Eastern warlords influence. It is a slow process, but it is worth it as it is the only adult way to deal with Islamic fundamentalism. Not by hating on your fellows citizens just because they are muslim.

Yeah, we're not so awful... I'm American, living in Canada, and honestly, I'm here for my husband, who is Canadian. I absolutely ADORE him. The only thing that annoys me about Canada is the fact they seem to hate diabetics, anyone on a low-carb diet, or anyone who just doesn't want to eat a ton of sugar. In fact I can't get anything sugar-free in a store (simple things, like sugar free coffeemate, sugarfree cake mix) unless I pay, I'm not even lying here, TWENTY TIMES THE PRICE on Amazon, (I'm not paying $85.00 for a 10.2oz canister of coffee creamer... WTF?) That is 3.49USD in any walmart. These people have to be kidding me.

well I am a Christian Canadian and I fear for my life because Islam is a political movement made to look like a religion and Islam believes in hating and killing anyone who is not Islamic and Canada is getting closer and closer to sharia law every time the law here excepts one of Islam's rules and all those people want to do is take over the world and Canada is rolling out the carpet and bowing down to Sharia law but I want to know is this still Canada or is it a Islamic State because it's starting to look like the latter to me.

I don't hate anyone, especially because of religious beliefs. But when you hear the stories of friends that live in Canada, and the rights that are given to them just to become citizens that is disgusting. If you want to become a citizen of any country, you must abide by the rules of that country and not the other way around.

Great Britain is not an Islam country so I don't believe they can enforce there law upon our people. I am happy with Muslims worshiping there god at there mosque as religious believers should be entitled to go to a place for worship but these kind of beliefs are outrageous !
