They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

Not having welcoming committees is definitely not a significant issue. The economy, increased emphasis on MAID (i.e. death) over extensive medical care, and the new sociopolitical atmosphere of hating immigrants to Canada from the 16th century onward are definitely major factors. When people were encouraged to come and work in numerous professions all across Canada for centuries, it was not difficult to retain immigrants. The virtues of hard work and supporting your family were valuable treasures, but now there is much less emphasis (even some discouragement) concerning these things today. I am praying for our nation to turn itself around.

Nowadays, Indians are every where.. the truth, they work smart, not hard working.. I hate to see what Canada would look like in few more years. It will soon turn to be an extension of India...

We got folks in Texas, American born, that gotta forge check stubs just to get an apartment. It's not easy living over here. Most of the available rooms are on Airbnb cuz there's never a hotel room available. You could spend all of your check just to get outta this heat. It's hard for trade working Americans to find a decent wage because it's so many immigrants that'll go for anything. They'll accept $13/hours knowing damn well the work is worth $30. If too many Mexicans come over construction will be done too fast and there will be more houses made and then house prices will drop and this can't happen because I'm rich and I benefit off of limited housing. Our social security will be eaten up by the time we are old enough to collect it and we will probably never use disability due to a moral standard. I'd much rather keep all of our $ and then give it to whom I feel deserves it. Many of these people are not bad people, but they will use our handouts and most will not try or have the ability to get off of them. This administration is the most inhumane, America hating administration I have ever witnessed or heard of here in the U.S.

Do yourself a favour and stay in the US. Trust me, you will regret picking Canada. Our shelter costs here are absurd and we have a government that flirts with communism. People easily give up their freedoms for safety. Broken health care system. Chaotic place with a lack of cultural identity, selfish people, divided country. Full of woke virtue signallers. It is true about all the laws and rules in Canada that interfere in your life. We lived in the Middle East for 5 years and could not believe the difference. Less laws, less rules, less annoyance. It was great. We lived in Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait (though Kuwait had a bit more rules that made life hard mostly when it came to owning a car if you were a foreigner). Also, the weather. Yes, it is very hot in the Middle East but we loved that. I hate the cold here in Canada and there is no guarantee that summer is going to be warm and sunny, so it is hit or miss. Most people who say Canada is the greatest country in the world, have never lived in any other part of the world and therefore, really cannot be sure of their statement.

Very true. I moved to Canada at the age of 20 going on 21 in 1990 and in a few months, I am turning 54. I've been to college twice and I could not get a job in the fields I studied for; instead I am working in a factory and I've worked hard. I'm on medical leave, but I'm now waiting to return to work and my employer has not been making it easy to return. I plan to return to my home country once I retire, because I hate winter weather and when it gets cold, my arthritis flares up and it will get worse as I age. It's very expensive here, car insurance, house insurance, phone bills, grocery bills, property taxes, and federal taxes. You work and work and you get 2 weeks vacation and sometimes, you don't even get to enjoy it. I remember getting sick when I took my holidays. You work long and crappy hours for just enough money to pay expenses and you don't really get to enjoy life. Canada is a beautiful country, but when do you get time to explore and enjoy it? Right now for me, it seems to be when I retire I'll be able to do that, if I can afford it (remember, taxes are high).

I hate conversions like this. Life can be hard or easy wherever you live if you're in comparable countries (mostly 1st world). If you want to build wealth or love recreational gun use, live in U.S. if you would rather give more in taxes for more ease and certainty then maybe consider someplace else? To each their own. I have lived in central BC, Nova Scotia and I grew up in Calgary. I have never found a family doctor to be hard to find. Homelessness has never been a significant problem. The problems you expressed in this video seems (at least) somewhat exclusive to Toronto and Vancouver. I hate when these two cities are showcased as Canada in its entirety is when obviously, Canada is so much more than that.

I was born and raised in Canada. My family immigrated in the 70s. Growing up I was proud to be Canadian but after living in other parts of the world I can tell you, Canada isn't it! \n\nFirstly our Prime Minister is a puppet he works for the Commonwealth and whatever they say goes, they profit off all of your hard work. \nThey keep you sick so you rely on the health care system. Medicate you instead of solving the problem. Doctors are exhausted, rude and over worked, emergency rooms are a disaster and if you book an appointment to see your doctor...be sure you're waiting at least a week. If you go to a walk in clinic you risk getting a doctor that seems like they paid for a fake degree.\n\nYou know when you go to a mall in one town and then hear about a mall in another town that has really cool different things??? Ya, not here! Everything is monopolized! Same stores everywhere you go. there's a mall in Toronto called Vaughn Mills mall, when I was in Calgary they have an exact replica just a different name. Small businesses are hard to keep because everything is so expensive. There needs to be more indoor things for people to do in the winter. \n\nWhoever said Canadians are polite, has never been to Alberta!!!! Many leave their own country, and come to Canada BECAUSE of their dislikes; extremism, culture, religion, laws, identity and in some cases backwards thinking; attempt to turn what we in society would consider as sexist, and discriminatory in some examples….\n\n…however when those same individuals finally achieve citizenship, or in some cases this starts (attempt to change Canadian law(s)) before obtaining citizenship, making moves to force the above, everything they despised, hated or disliked about their own country, into this new country ? Its like, the expectation is that we assimilate to them, not that they assimilate to their new chosen country??\n\nIt appears in some cases, going as far as attempting to rationalize why the the very thing they left their own country for, should now be a part of or have a place in Canadian society….where in any place in the World does this happen? Would it happen? Can you imagine, if I were a guest in someone else’s home, being invited over for dinner, but they had rules…like taking off your shoes when entering their home…or demanded they change their menu that they worked hard making for me to eat..or that I do not put my feet up in the coffee table or furniture…but I said, screw that, I don’t agree with their rules..I’m just going to do what I want! What would be the outcome do you think if I were to disrespect their rules?\n\nWhen Canadians have the audacity to say NO, we’re not interested in adopting …the rules/laws of the country they just abandoned…we’re now somehow insulted, or angered the guest? …the same Canada that has welcomed, provided safety, roof over their heads, food on the table, an education for their children, and provided access to our medical (albeit far from perfect) infrastructure.\n\nTo stomp their feet, bang their fist on the table when discovered that it’s expected to take four years of your life to become a doctor (which btw if you’re smart enough to become a doctor, you should be smart enough to of researched the expectations, PRIOR to coming to Canada) in the Country that YOU have chosen to spend the rest of their lives in, to have to work in a job to help support you and your families transitions,…imho, is NOT an unreasonable ask….that 4-5 years of their next 40-50+ ? Well, if that is considered a hardship, then maybe they need to rethink their intent. Canada is a country of immigrants, which means people who are, in my humble opinion, mostly quite self-centered and expecting the world from others, which never happens! Canada demands a gigantic capacity to adapt, to adjust and, in a word, to change...completely! You must be totally willing to leave everything behind if you want to integrate into Canadian society and this is extremely hard to do! Moreover, most immigrants come to Canada because they expect that country to give them a life of luxury or at least a very easy life, which can be true, as compared to certain other countries where life can be hell because of corruption, poverty or mismanagement and dictatorship. Now, don't fool yourself, you will find all of this in Canada too, in a very different way, although not always that different, but you will find it to a certain extent, depending on what you are trying to do here! Canada pretends to be a free and democratic country, but if there is one thing, that you are not supposed to do in Canada without dire consequences and reactions from most Canadians, it is criticism and voicing dissent! You will face repression too! I am 67 and I have lived in this country for over 30 years and now have lots of health problems, which I would probably never have had in another country, all this because of the frigging climate here...I just hate it here! And yes, don't be cultured and...play stupid and ignorant, otherwise you will face automatic rejection and that same stupidity and ignorance! A country of many cultures...yes, but also of deep rooted prejudices and intolerance! And if there is something that never changes in Canada, it is change! They expect you to change, but they never change themselves! in a word...Canada is a country like all others, no better and often far worse!

You’ve been in an English speaking country for awhile. So why do you need to communicate via Spanish? You should’ve learned the language by now. That’s the biggest thing, if you want to be a American or Canadian then learn the language. \n\nI’m Latin and my father n uncles hated going places in the US and another Latin would speak Spanish to them. Even though they could speak Spanish they said this is America speak English. \n\nNot all minorities like seeing people coming into the country illegally or by trying to use asylum when they have no claim. If it’s hard in your country don’t have kids, try to immigrate legally to a country!

I hate my POS country, govornment that couldn't care less about their population, only votes... They promise shit and never fallow through. I'm so done....\nCanada seems like a beautiful country, with similar climate to my own country and from what I understand the norms are also similar. I don't see myself staying here, but all my family and friends live here.... I'd leave everything behind. I don't know what to do. Staying where I am is not an option (long term atleast), but moving away from my parents and siblings would be hard as well...

I am an older white trans woman that prefers to date black men as I just find them more attractive. Here it comes the proverbial but, I sometimes find it hard to not be prejudice. I hate myself for that, but I need to be honest with myself or I could never change to be a better person. That is something I strive for everyday. Sometimes I feel like I am making no headway though. \nI seriously hope that’s not true.

To me, it looks like Vice is really trying to pull the emotional card to get people to sympathize with this man because he really is in a rough situation. But, he is in a situation of his own making. It sounds like he had not done any prior research about Canada before deciding to claim refugess status. Yes, Trudeau was not giving the full truth when he made those public announcements to the media. Yes, people (educated or not) can be swayed by words of leaders they respect. But, to think you can just enter another country and claim refugee status without understanding what that actually entails is very naive. Canada has very transparent laws that are easily accessable in a multitude of different languages. The provinces also have legal assistance for those who can not afford lawyers. So, the fact that this man was able to spent $15,000 when he is being portrayed as a low income earner makes me question his income, or if he was even aware that he could apply for legal assistance. And since he has a lawyer who has been working his case, I would like to assume that the lawyer would have said something about assistance.\n\nI really want to be sympathetic for this man and his family, because security uncertainty makes life extra hard. But, as I have had to live in more than one country due to the Canadian immigration system refusing my husband due to a very old DUI (which has set our life on a completely different plan than anticipated), I have a very hard time being sympathetic when I feel as though they did not reach out to educated themselves on the laws of another country. I am a Canadian who currently can't live in Canada with my husband of 3 years and I still don't hate my country. I respect the hell out of it (this is not to get into our historic treatment of BIPOC, which deserves it's own seperate time and is a bloody stain on our land's history.)

I find it interesting how much Canada claims too hate America but tries so hard to be America.

The hate comments on this video are really too many. And as I know most of the foreigners don't watch this channel, I think most of these are butt hurt people who couldn't do anything in their life and are jealous of those in the video. Or some other state people jealous of Punjabis all over the world and completely dominating India. \n\nAnd I give a rats ass about your patriotism if you can't respect other people's choices. that's what we Indians are famous for - not respecting anybody's choices and going on with moral policing. \n\nAnd as for questioning their patriotism, the send more money back to India than you Guys will ever earn in your life. And they are citizens of their country, pay taxes and work hard and are obviously proud of their adopted nation.

Awesome topic: Racism in Canada!! Of it exists... As an indigenous women, minorities do not get a voice or platform. It’s hard to even step outside the door most day. Indigenous people are hated. It’s getting worse everyday.

It’s sad too see all this negatives comments y’all don’t know how hard it is for immigrants Unless you are one you can never relate the presidents thinks we are all rapist killers and bad people but that’s not the case yes there might be some bad people but I guarantee most of us are good people who come here too work really hard so our family’s and children can have a better life I don’t understand why we get so much hate all we come too do here is work hard and also we do jobs that no other people will do let’s put an example I don’t see any white American or black African American working in construction yes there might be some but most don’t like working outside in the heat because it’s hot and because it’s a hard job look at el Paso shootings you tell me who did that shooting ? It is NOT just race. Depending on the bag or backpack you carry, you get followed, which I hate. And I'm not black. My mother also gets followed everywhere in every Macy's store. It drives me crazy. It's really annoying, because I think it's because my mom has big purses and I usually have my art backpack. \n\nWhen I'm in a different town, I get followed in Walmart all the time. If I forget my shopping bags, I will empty my backpack so I can use that to put all my items in at the end of the purchase.\n\n In Best Buy, I'm lucky to get anyone to help me at all!!! I have to hunt someone down, and most of the time, they don't know anything anyway. Target: I have a hard time finding anyone to help me as well. I haven't really done a social experiment, but sometimes I just have my shopping bags and fill them as I shop and I won't carry a purse.\n\nLocally, I don't get followed because my family and me are known in that town. We know a lot of people and my face is everywhere. I never get followed. But out of town Walmart, I get followed in certain stores. It irritates me immensely, especially since I buy a lot of make up and the make up department is cramped they way they block the end of the aisles. It makes it really hard to turn your cart around when other people are in the same aisle. Then they close the make up aisle even though they have tons of cameras all over!! \n\nOverall, I don't know WHERE these backhanded compliments are coming from. I normally hear stuff about my weight. Nothing about race ever. Nor do I ever hear others talking about race. Weight seems to be the hot topic always.\n\nI also find it weird that the one guy feels like he needs to apologize!

I’m a an American that is strongly against illegal immigrants but I think this type of man is not the one I want out. Liberals assume we hate them and are racist but we’re not. We simply don’t want our tax dollars to keep funding other people’s lives while we can’t even provide for our own people. He is a hard worker who is providing for his family. His wife and kids look like good people also. I want the US to be a stepping stone for people like him. He is working hard, earning money and ensuring a better future for his children. I want him to thrive in the US.
