I had two children for free here in Canada. During my first pregnancy we moved from BC to Alberta to Ontario with no interruptions in health care coverage. I only moved once in the last six weeks of my second pregnancy. If we lived in the US we could neither afford nor try to negotiate all the logistics and headaches with the American system.

Im in Alberta even though i was born in Ontario. Ive lived in almost every province and came back to Alberta years ago. My boys were born here the 1st time i was here. I would never live in any other province but Alberta! We are more like our own Republic here anyways and despise Ottawa which is fine by me considering Trudeau is there. The cold weather sucks in Alberta but very little mosquitos, summers are awesome and businesses are mostly privatized and not government run! Ive traveled in parts of the states mainly in the northern states and i feel sorry for them but i LOVE TRUMP and wish he was here. I do love Premier Smith and no, im not gay. Conservative and straight! ? Cheers!

My provincial review after living in Ontario, Alberta and Quebec in my short 19 years of life.\nOntario: Too expensive for low skill workers\nNova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland: No jobs for low skill workers\nManitoba: Indigenous gang central\nSaskatchewan: Fields, limited amenities, cheap ass housing\nAlberta: Winter sports galore, Oil built infrastructure, Jobs on jobs\nBritish Columbia: Beautiful but costly, Outdoorsman's dream\nTerritories: No convenience\n\nEach province is beautiful in their own right. But not each province is liveable for everyone. Know your needs from a society and move accordingly. Every province has its own set of challenges and assets, but I believe there is the perfect place for anyone in Canada. Don't be afraid to look far and wide, to find the place that works best for you.

I live in Edmonton Alberta, Canada my friend who is a Real Estate Agent in Toronto called me last week to ask about the situation in Edmonton with housing because there are lots of immigrants coming to Toronto and there is literally no houses. Lots of people are on the streets. There are also lots of scammers claiming to have apartments that do not exist and they are getting people.\nYes the cost of living is extremely high. Is mind blowing how families survive here .

Basic tip : if you travel legally, with the right channels into Canada you will not have to struggle. The government will even ensure you are getting support while at it. Once you 'cheat' your way in please expect repurcussions. The canadian government is as transparent as you'd like it to be. I came here with no agent, followed the guidelines from the government immigration website, got a visitors visa for 6months, immediately applied for temporary workers visa got it within 45days, upgraded to permanent residency and got it within 60days. My point is usidanganye kwa makaratasi. Where its not clear what they are asking, they will walk you through it. Am now a citizen bila hustles. Once you breach the guidelines of Canada immigrations don't expect mteremko. The laws here are the most friendliest and yes Canada is made of immigrants. If you can come please do it the right way. Wacheni kulipa agents your savings jameni. Agents live off your hard earned money and they provide no guarantees. You are protected when you do the right thing huku. Currently Alberta is loking for pharmacists, nurses, doctors and caregivers for kindergarten age. Its all on the website for Alberta government. Its straight forward. Bottom line do not expect magic to happen. Once you make into Canada you must get a mind shift, Be willing to start over and have laser line focus. Hukuu hakuna party after party ni kazi after kazi. I have lived in Canada since 2000. My dream is to go back to Kenya and live there. We lived in Toronto for ten years and it wasn't easy for our parents to make ends meet. I moved to Alberta in 2011 and I am so happy that I moved here when I did. We live well. My husband and I are into trades and we thank God for taking good care of our family. It is getting harder here since Trudeau became the prime minister. Food, gas, clothes. housing everything has gone up and you need a good job and have legit papers. The grass isn't always greener on the other side

Alberta has changed too. It's a depressing place and people are becoming more aggressive, self absorbed and careless. \nFor Edmonton being a Capital City, it is dirty, smelly and has a major increase with crime and drugs. Calgary is right behind Edmonton with crime and gangs but at least it is nicer looking city. \n\nOur family is making plans to move out of Canada because this is not the way we live our lives. We are stangers to our own country. The place we've called home since our DOB is not a home anymore. ?.

I used to live at Yonge and Gerrard for many years. Loved it. I moved away to Alberta in 2009. I am shocked at how much the city has deteriorated as well as the cost of living. \nAllan Gardens has always been no go….but my god! Just ridiculous. No excuse for this level of homelessness.

Uhhh that was a shocker, thanks for sharing this. Vancouver is ten times worse, what I have seen through YouTube videos. Then through the fires in BC and Alberta many people are now homeless and displaced. The housing crises has now gotten unmanageable. For us Canadians who would love to return to Canada, since I got away from my abuser, it is impossible. I'm very discouraged and hopeless, and believe we might never return to Canada to live. It is absolutely shocking how the country has changed for the worse under the Trudeau Government.

Lived in Toronto for 21 years. Moved out 2 years ago to Calgary. The Best decision ever made. I only wish we made this move much earlier. Calgary is great, but if you decide to move here, please don't bring the TO attitude. Please don't Ontario my Alberta!

Not only in Canada dear brothers and sisters, here in the Netherlands housing prices and living costs are at least to say expensive. My luck is that I bought my house 10 years ago for a very good price ( 160.000 Euro's with a current mortgage of 519,00 Euro per month as the interest rate is 1,3% almost hilarious for Dutch standards today ) for a normal house with 3 bedrooms, attic, normal sized bathroom, garden, driveway for 1 car and on one side separated from my neighbor because there is a shed in between. Nothing special but now people will fight each other to get a house like mine. So conclusion: I can save some money to plan a trip to Canada next year or 2025, no delay anymore! Targeting BC and Alberta ( mountains!!!) is the plan for this trip as your country is huge at least to say. I like your vids Alina, really useful information and your relaxed style of presenting. I immigrated to canada 1999 and canada have changed alot . Work opportunity are no near as good. Health care is awful. If you are struggling with mental health or any other medical problem good luck waiting for a veryyyy long time. The housing prices and rentals are extremely expensive. Taxes are high and prices are high as well. Social life is dead. U are a slave to ur job and bills. I live in alberta finding a job is a little easier then Ontario. Winter is very harsh. Honestly if ur living comfortably outside canada? Avoid coming to canada by all means. Life is verry hard here ?.

hmmm, good call. I live in BC and can say Alberta is just as expensive as BC now, pretty much, colder, and I I like BC best hands down..

i lived in manitoba for 9 years, from the age of 5 to 14. i got so used to the cold that the fact alberta shut down school busses at -25 was shocking. my elementary school in winnipeg made us stay outside for recess unless it was -28??

Did you actually visit the cities and provinces? Or did you google it? From someone who grew up in Ontario and live in Alberta, you couldn't be further from the truth!

We recently drove to my daughter’s cottage in Montana. We live in BC. She and her family live in Alberta. Another couple, two doctors, was joining us for the weekend. We got lost and they did too. Not a problem, we all arrived eventually. They commented that they did not feel that they could go to someone’s house and ask for directions. We agreed and felt the same thing. In Canada that would absolutely not be the case.

I lived in Alberta since 1993 but my mind is always in BC, loved every corners in BC. Living cost in BC is main problem to stop me from moving :)

1st, Canada is a vast country, but its living area is getting overpopulated, mostly in the ontarian peninsula & under the 49th parallel (70%) of us. The country has a high level of tax, add up GST, PST, unaffordable housing and lower quality of public services. This video is not really factual. No mention that QC has the lowest rate of crime & Alberta has one of the highest, Ontario has the best job opportunities but QC has the lowest unemployment rate after Manitoba. Quebec has higher tax than 60% of Canadians but has the lowest postsecondary education tuitions, lowest hydro bills, still affordable housing compared with others.

You have an entire political party pushing racist crap... it happens in every state but it is much worse in Republican states..... I lived in Florida while I went to post secondary school there and I won't go back. We have McDonalds and Starbucks here in Canada, even in small towns PLUS we have Tim Hortons everywhere! I have lived in both countries and much prefer Canada. The very idea of another Trump presidency makes me literally ill. In Alberta our healthcare is free, no monthly payment and there is affordable drug coverage both through private and provincial government provided. The Canadian education system is far superior.

Been living in AB for the last 13 years and absolutely love it, was very lucky to buy a house a few years ago still in a decent price. Alberta would be paradise only if it's winters wouldn't be so long

I considered Europe several times (went for exchanges in England and Russia a decade ago). Moving to US… for myself, I can’t see a good reason. Especially now… \npeople who are interested in the US are people who have career ambitions or want to make more money (like in Universities, finance, technology…). There is a second category of people, that I don’t think they use Reddit ;) Retired people over a certain age, they go live in Florida half the year and some decide to stay. There are also a small number of neoconservatives who think we live under a liberal dictature (yes, I’m looking at you Alberta), might be more interested, as well as our evangelicals too, since they want to insist on imposing their religion on everyone else. \nSo, mostly : climate for elders, ambitions (career or financial) for youth, ideology for some others. Maybe love too !

British Columbia is gorgeous! You only showed cities like Vancouver and Victoria and completely missed the beautiful 'wide open spaces', the beauties of places like Banff, Lake Louise, the National Parks, the famous ski hills, the northern province where living is less expensive, the Rockies, the amazing wildlife, the Okanagan (Vernon, Kelowna, Penticton, where people are flocking to live) with colorful Kalamalka Lake, International airports, great winter snow sports and summer water sports, fishing and hunting, goldpanning, Entertainment centers, job opportunities--Construction never slowed down for a second during Covid in Kelowna. B.C., a beautiful place to live! And remember--'Life is what YOU make it'! By the way, you never mentioned the Oil in Alberta, which makes it a pretty independently wealthy province!!

I am Canadian and I have two cousins who moved to the USA. One lives in Texas and one in Kansas City both have said they would never move back to Canada. My 25 year old son is also moving to Texas soon. My husband and I had the opportunity to move to Augusta Georgia from Alberta. We chose not to because our kids were still in high school. Had we known our son would be moving to the States anyways, we would have made the move.

Ever since Justin Trudeau was Prime Minister in 2015 a lot of Canadians have either moved to the United States to states like Florida and Texas, or they move out to the province of Alberta. Canadians and americans to the most part have similar values and views, and if a canadian can afford to move to the united states, they probably would especially under the dictatorship that we're living under right now

We are senior citizens, and having lived in BC and Alberta, for us Saskatchewan is our favourite province. So peaceful and unstressful, and comparatively cheap living.

Nice to know your 5 provinces , lots work nbopportunities in Ontario for professionals. British Columbia classic place to live in . Alberta is less expensive to live. Vancouber best for education places to study

Please anyone watching this do not take it as fact. Pretty much got all of it wrong. Fishing and Hunting in Nova Scotia and cold? Can live in Vancouver for $50,000/year?? Alberta is way more than Agriculture, oil and gas. Also quite a few more cities than just Calgary. Toronto is getting worse every year. People are leaving the city because it is so expensive to live there. Quebec is getting up there with cost of living along with the taxes. Vancouver Island, yes mild in the winter compared to the rest of Canada but jobs are hard to come by which is why a lot of people retire there.

Vancouver does have 2 languages. English and Chinese , I live in Alberta and I have to say I love it, you are right the cities etc here are isolated that is because the country is so huge . I enjoy the cold and isolation so each to their own. but I do know what you mean about Europe , a good video lots of good points.

I'm a 47 year old man, born & raised in Canada, I have lived in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, & BC. Everything in Canada has gotten more expensive in the last 10 years; yet income has not got any better, & the sad truth is, it's just going to get worse in the next few years.

Hello black women living in Leduc Alberta for over 20 year's . I'm from Toronto born in Jamaica . Now look nowhere is perfect there is racism everywhere, i found more in Toronto then Alberta. In Alberta the most problems i have is with dating but work wise i don't get the racism, its opposite. I get jobs because of my skin. I haven't been called the N word in Alberta to my face anyways and in Toronto too many times to count. I personally love Alberta and will probably retire here. I treat everyone i meet with respect and I've been given the same. I really wish that everyone could just get along and stop with the colors of skin BS and just be kind to each other.

As a person of Colour in a mostly white country it’s not realistic to not expect some bigoted white peoples it’s just not, their the majority so their always going to be that way. But overall I never feel unsafe here in Ontario very diverse area lots of Muslims, asians, native Americans Africans and tons of Carribeans from all over the West Indies . Actually, Edmonton Alberta is one of the most staunch conservative ( republican) parts of Canada. I have lived in a neighboring province for more than 60 years now and have observed them vote in conservative governments for all but about 10 of those years.

Alberta is a right wing conservative majority province. My grandmother was a black Jamaican. I have lived in Ontario, Canada for 36 years. And I haven't seen or experienced biting racism. Not all of Canada is f*cked up, just the political right!?

I’m a visible minority (East Indian) and lived/worked in Calgary, Alberta for 15 years as an executive in a mining company. I never once felt discriminated against. As a matter of fact, it was a great place to live in that regard. I lived in Quebec City for over 20 years. I can only recall about 1/2 dozen racially related negative events there - but it was also a very long time ago.

Why the hell would you like in Alberta? Lol I live in Toronto and we are treated like kings. Out here it’s education status and eco status over race.
