I came to America like 6 years ago and I can attest that as they say yuesi is a land of opportunities it truly is,I didn’t come with the right documents as they say I came through visit visa so I had to follow the procedures that were required and within a very short time I was able to stand on my feet and found a job that was providing well for my family and myself and when I mean provide I was able to educate my 3 kids through university and daystar university and still be able to acquire some property all this being said and done am not very educated so it’s not about education it’s just being given a chance to do what I can do.have seen very old people who understand very little English going to school and doing the exam in health care,they are given an option of bringing someone who will interpret for you with the language you understand better my friend did her exam in kikuyu na akapita and so many others so I can confidently say this is land of opportunities.

I don't understand why 40% of international students are from India? Shouldn't we bring in people from different countries in fairly equal proportions?

You have to understand that the reason Canada brings in so many people is to suppress wages and deplete your savings on tuition, housing and food. It hurts both Canadians and newcomers while the large corporate employers, schools and real estate profit immensely. We really do have a rentier style economy where we don't produce many innovative products and instead the top 60 companies (financial services, real estate, telecom, energy, grocery) just extract rents.

He's making it sound like racism dosen't exist back in Nigeria, lol. Nigeria isn't excluded from racism, what we have here is Tribalism and nepotism which is even far worse than racism. The world is encompassed with different backgrounds different cultures and and personality so you are bound to Encounter racism wherever you go, just that it is limited in some places but still exist nevertheless. \n\nAs for the employment sector in Nigeria in comparison to Canada, my God. In Nigeria, You can be a graduate of a medical field with BSC or higher or Even a bachelor's of Law and still be jobless for several years unless you are self employed or have a strong connection, a friend of mine has a undergraduate degree in medicine but works as a shoe maker seeing there is no Job available and she skilled in shoe Making trade. The unemployment rate here has been increasing rapidly and on top of that the cost of living dosen't make up for that, even cost of living going high where no one understands and of course you have the bad governance to blame for that. Education system is here is also terrible, why would one be spending 8 years for a 5 year course due to Asuu strike, all these little things can be overlooked by the government but they are part of what dampens the growth of the economy NGL.\n\nNot saying Canada dosen't have it own downfalls, it does like the housing crisis and all but IMO I see they still strive better, one of which would include bringing in foreign workers of skilled Trade to help improve the economy, they go as far as sponsoring visa application and the employers go as far as getting LMIA for foreign workers and the health care system appears to be more stable based on what I have experienced. The educational system is also okay, my sis got funding worth $15k for her tuition whereas her tuition is $20k, they already paid up to 75% of it for her Thesis, mind you I said funding not scholarship, they are totally different. \n\nNot tryna criticize either country before some trolls attack me in my comment section but am only stating my experience and what has been happening in both sides of the fence, it as easy as that.

I use to let racism bring me down. But now I understand that I’m Everything in God’s eyes, which allows me to enjoy my life more without being overwhelmed by projection and mistreatment from others upon me. Latin here, I came here legally but I can tell you that it was difficult as hell for my mom to bring me here, it took money and years for that, but I want you as a fellow citizen to understand their situation first, in Latin America you could be graduation from college and even with that having a good job it’s difficult sometimes, unlike here education in Latin America is not always something that all people can get and every time they vote for someone it becomes more trashier, housing for the poor doesn’t even exist, half of the country is corrupt and going outside you don’t who you may find, my brother needs to wait 7 years to become a resident (not citizen) he will be 30 something at that point, what the government should do is make the residency easier and I can tell you something like this wouldn’t occur that easily, my mom is a lawyer in my country and I can tell you the situation wasn’t easy, every three times a week there would be shooting outside my house, drug dealer was my neighbor, and at the age of 15 there would parents of two kids the sad part all this is normal, stopping it is imposible because it gets you kill, the police will kill you for doing a peaceful protest just to stop feminicide, wanting your kid to go outside without being scare something would happen to them, this people want peace and a job that is it and when your own country doesn’t even give you the right for that how could you live? Latin America is like living in the worst state in U.S multiply by 1000 and happening the same thing every day, riots or protest are imposible there because you know the police will never go the peaceful way, what this people are doing is wrong but they just want to live, it even surprise how much people hate their president here when in Latin America there hasn’t been any good president in decades. Before someone tells me something, like I say what they are doing is wrong and it’s painful to watch, something should not be happening in the first place but it is happening and I hope the situation gets better but like I say before saying something disrespectful or out of place to these people, understand their situation first

Yes and if these people truly believed in God and Jesus they wouldn't run from their countries but actually stay on the ground and stand strong in their faith that God and Jesus are going to help them persevere through all this. As a fully disabled American citizen with a child that doesn't even get $1,000 a month and there's no available housing at all where I live no waiting list to go on people on SSI disability don't get any extra housing help we're not offered separate housing are put on separate lists and low-income Able Body people or the migrants jumping the Border but I was born and raised here paid taxes and worked until my body literally couldn't anymore but I don't hear anybody bitching and screaming and crying about the fact that my son and I would be on the streets if it hadn't been for one of my family members stepping up and giving his housing after a lifetime restraining order issued during my pregnancy on my son's biological do do with domestic abuse situation. I'm also US citizen that spent time in the Wards in Houston and projects and other cities and if you don't think that we don't have the same gun violence drug trafficking human trafficking gangs take it over cartels taking over neighborhoods and communities than you're freaking lying to yourself and everybody else. The same s*** that's taken over these countries is taking over the inner cities have been for decades and these are the same communities that most of these people will end up in. No it's not about not being good Christians part of being a good Christian is reminding people to stand their ground and have faith in Jesus and God and their own home territory and not to give it up to the crime people in the bad politicians. You can't say you believe in God and Jesus Christ and then he's got your back while you're running and that's the truth in the reality that nobody wants to hear the more people run from these countries the more the bad people are able to take over and then we get complaints here in the states about the cost attacks is rightfully so. For those people screaming and shouting that everybody should go out pick up in my grant and bring them home to their house and feed them and take them and I challenge you to do the same thing for homeless before you even do the migrant do homeless American citizens go out and really educate yourself because I'm totally tired of hearing from Americans that the only people that live on the streets are people with mental health problems that need mental health treatment or people that are stoned out and that's where they want to be you guys are so f****** wrong and this is coming from someone that met homeless people spent time around homeless people and understand we have a society that wants to paints a very different picture than what's truly going on because then it allows for hey it's not our problem they want to be there. I remind people all the time and they hate hearing this s*** Jesus never had a house as a matter of fact Jesus basically live like a homeless person after he was an adult particularly and God made sure he was provided for. I mean did you all forget the night they came to take them away they were asleep in an Open Garden it wasn't like they popped up tents or glamper camper sites had some little Adobe type cabins they were sleeping in. As a matter of fact if you pay attention to most of the stories about Jesus and talking about him sleeping he does a lot of sleeping Outdoors. Remember God is a father that's how he's been represented and talked about in the Bible and Jesus was a man without a doubt no biological transgender question ability there. People need to remember that part of being a fair and loving. Is also teaching and discipline and these children following rules. I don't believe hearing God and Jesus telling all these people run from your countries and not have faith that I'm actually going to fix things for you and go run to somebody else actually go run to the United States where all those stuff is traveling through. I never understood the logic of that it's like rats run from the country where they're making the drugs to the country that supplying the globe with it and we're all of these bad people have thousands of people in planted everywhere with guns and hookups. I don't know why people don't understand that we have dirty lawn forcement in dirty politicians that are in bed with the dirty drug cartels that's as much as they are in the country. You don't think that there's not decisions made in the United States based on drugs and I'm not talking about how to put it into them but how to keep them flowing. I have Fred still in Florida and we were all making jokes about how quickly Sanibel Island all the way up to st. Pete got Mainland access so quickly after the last major hurricane that took everything down and we all know what it's from is because that portion of Florida is used to bring a lot of drugs in from South America, Central America. So for all of you that want to post your personal assumptions about homeless people because that's all it is unless you've actually been homeless or spent time around homeless you really have no clue what's going on in the homeless population except what you've been told by the same political talking head media bulshit that's been lying to everybody about a bunch of other stuff too. Don't you get it the politicians don't want people knowing that a lot of the people that are homeless on the street are people that are disabled and aren't disabled because they have mental health problems I know that's the narrative they've been trying to stuff down people's throats.

Look at all the culture they brought to America at Ellis Island they made America just a little bit better. Poor and went into business they were great for us. These people want free stuff given to them and they complain. They show very little respect with our language. You are right that welfare free housing the works and more. I’ve been living in Canada for 5 years now and I can surely say that Canada is loosing it’s beauty. It’s high time government filters the immigrants it’s taking in the country and it needs to focus more on quality rather than quantity ?\nI love Canada and I feel bad seeing it shaping itself in an ugly way. \nI came from India 5 years ago and I can say this was the best decision but at the same time I feel Canada needs to implement this things to new immigrants coming in:\n\n1) Blend in the local culture and enjoy it the way it is and not try to bring the same chaos and stupidity from back home country.\n\n2) More stricter laws against violators (rowdy immigrants)\n\n3) Once they land they should be given an etiquette lesson and good briefing about Canada whichever airport they are on.\n\n\n4) Better speak English at all times so that everyone can understand everything with clarity.\n(P.S: please don’t consider this racist as Canada has people from all round the world)\n\n5) Cultural festivals need to be celebrated in own space keeping in mind the privacy of others and be courteous to others making sure they’re not bothered.\n\n\n6) Not trying to force others to believe your way or follow certain religion etc and be respectful of others. \n\n\n7) Stop complaining and ranting about things they can’t control and not pollute the environment by being careless. \n\n\nI see a lot of my fellow people making mess of things his beautiful country and hence i hope Canada implements the above points so we can have a better and happy society. \n\nCanada is a land of opportunities and yes it has got some flaws in the system but that’s not what we can control. I do watch many videos about the topic. First of all there's no place like home. As a human we will have tendency to resist to change. Choosing to leave a country whatever the reason will always be hard, you left a culture, family and so many good things. Diversity in a country like Canada is a good thing sometimes because somewhere somehow you find link to home. Imagine as a French Canadian like I am, I am consider as an immigrant in my own country. The natives came first from Asia, English took over the country which left us with no country we can call home. Many immigrants will say that French is an obstacle and don't understand why we need laws to keep it, we took our place following negotiations with the native not by conquest and always need to fight to keep that space because we're not making babies anymore and do need immigration like the rest of the country. That being said it brings the sensitive topic of jobs. There's types of jobs you do need Canadian experience, in Canada the construction codes are different from even a region versus another one. Do you know that St-Lawrence river is sitting on a tectonic plate and you need to construct a building which can resist a earthquake? What Canada need to do because we do lack of people on those job, is to provide fast track to help them having Canadian experience. They don't need anatomy courses, human here are pretty much the same but they need to know what medication is legal in Canada. Finally, all is on setting expectations, don't expect to feel at home in here, it take in average 3 generations to really feel at home, so be ready to feel pushed aside, be ready to live in a area where you will find mostly people of common cultural background. You will feel left over and pretty much alone. The only solution to be happy in here is embrasse change, go out of your comfort zone, embrace the local culture, talk to people from different backgrounds. There's a difference between multi cultural and integration. Sharing is caring, share your culture and your food, and most of all don't think you have the best way of life and other people don't understand. When you think everyone is wrong is usually a sign that you're the one who is wrong. Racism weirdly don't have a culture, a race or a religion, it's individual.

Recruiters are scammers, these people coming here are also scammers. Canadians are going homeless because of these scammers. Most of the Canadians don’t understand. Canada should focus on bring good quality labor from different countries. Canada is expected to be the slowest developing economies among developed countries.

I feel it is irresponsible for governments to bring immigrants in without having a plan to house, and employ them in a sustainable position. I'm fine with high taxes as long as I can have a second residence in Canada. There's a lot of crime within the USA, and Canada is a safe haven depending on the type of crime we're talking about. I'm sure you understand what i'm saying. I'm not entering the Country to work there. I'd bring my businesses there, and help the economy as a permanent resident, and citizen of USA. My only problem is that i don't know how to become a permanent resident as an entrepreneur.

My grandparents immigrated from Italy and Ireland. They never got nice warm Canada Goose jackets, clothes, Nike shoes designer jeans, free English lessons or welfare. They paid there way, bought their land and found work LEGALLY, paid to learn English.\nThey did not steal unemployed Canadians jobs going through Trudeaus let’s hire out of the country so our government funds part of the wage. What we get are lousy heath care workers who barely understand or speak the English language and are caring for our Elderly and mistreating them. This I saw first had. I took my Mother home out of a senior home and cancelled home care as they never showed up on time. Would they leave there parent in a urine soaked brief for 5 hours as that is how late they were. I had to quit my job to take care of her. I myself am disabled with a spinal injure. The worst part of “Home Care workers” is that they wanted me to call in and cancel so they got paid. This statement gave from the Home Care nurse in charge of these immigrants working here. Seven of my friends, who are educated health care workers, which they themselves paid for, not paid my our government. They can’t get a job. The last job I applied for and they ask you status I put that I am a Canadian refugee in my own country. \nPretty sad when on Remembrance Day you have these woke individuals begging for money to help refugees. They should be ashamed of themselves for this disgusting action as this is a time to remember the men and women who fought for our freedom. Trudeau is a total embarrassment to all Canadians. He brings in more refugees rather than helping Veterans and homeless Canadians.

It is such a shame that follow Asians and even American Natives play such a role in perpetuating racism against African descent people, but I guess they have their issues of identity. That should not be so difficult to calculate. We're faced with higher mortality and disease rates, covid 19 has rubbed that to our eyes, care systems medical world is in less favour and neglect black communities. I believe what he really is trying to express is based on the fear of being a black man in a hostile environment, but we should certainly have nothing to be ashamed of. \n\nOn contrary, we should be very proud because we are still here, like any other citizens paying our taxes and playing positive roles in society by major. We have positive role models are everywhere, from the single mother raising her children with force and determination to the black father who teaches at a local school, from the black girl who's achieved top grades to university to the black young man who's been headhunted from the medical school. And all of us who are just trying. \n\nLook closely. While the media will continue to do its good job demonising and stereotyping us negatively, let's not forget that we are real people with real accomplishments who have always made impactful contributions to society. \n\nHere's the thing, we are admired, loved and celebrated because of the brilliance, talent, charisma, swag and wealth we bring to contemporary culture. Everyone consumes black culture, from the filler lip service to the quick fix tan, from rock and roll to hip hop and RnB music, to sports athletes to the amazing creators out there, no need to mention names. But, we also are doctors, politicians, judges nurses, waiters, carers, scientists, builders, bankers, entrepreneurs, employees or unemployed. \n\nSadly on a day-to-day, we are not viewed as equal people, with equal rights and needs, who, by large, just want the good for our children, our families, neighbours and indeed countries. That's going to get their attention since shoplifters could easily put things into the bags and most people don't bring computer bags, hand bags etc when they shop.\n\nI've had instances where people were awful to me for no apparent reason (I'm white), and it struck me that if i was black, I would attribute the terrible treatment to racism since I couldn't think of any other reason for the bad treatment. \n\nAnother form of racism not covered here is the racism of low expectations. If people assume that you are too dumb to understand something or too poor to afford something, that's wrong. Same holds true for treating women as if they won't understand. Usually this behavior is done, not by bad people, but by people who just haven't had a lot of interactions with different people of different races. So they haven't had the chance to have those stereotypes personally disproven.

I used to live in Brampton and this is the city where I first landed. No hatred for the city but people have ruined it. I'm a brown guy myself so I can't be racist against my own people and tbh, some of the best people I know in Canada are Sikhs but even they accept the fact that there is a large number of bad apples in their community. Sikhs have played a major part in both positive and negative way, to make and break this city.\n\nInsurance scams in Brampton cost their citizens to pay one of the highest premiums in the country. Generally, drivers in Brampton have no fuckin' idea how to drive because the licences were literally bought. \n\nA large number of people of our brown community always hell bent on abusing the system, wherever they go. We bring the same back home mindset here in Canada rather follow the system. \n\nThe only thing mostly brown community is focused on is how to make money and that's all. Don't try to learn the language, don't like to mix with people, don't care about the laws or anything. They only like to have nice big houses, show off their leased fancy cars and that's all.\n\nI left this city for good and don't regret my decision at all when I see numerous videos about the bad situation in Brampton. I'd love to move back to Ontario but cannot live in this city anymore. One thing really pissed me off when I was there that most people expect every brown person to speak Punjabi and when I used to tell them that I don't speak or understand Punjabi, you could see the surprized looks on their face.

Why don't all the nations like US and Canada try to help fix what is happening from the places these people are fleeing, especially if they are murder capitals? They can recruit these migrants to form coalitions to rebuild their nation. What if they are really are going to suffer there, without outside intervention, by being recruited, instead, into gangs or be killed or raped? If we send troops to the middle east for our vested interest, then don't we also have at least some vested interest to send troops in Honduras and El Salvador? We can prevent the entire population from migrating, prevent people from being exploited and hurt while traveling or living illegally and the taxpayers and citizens won't have to pay for court costs, education, healthcare and welfare. There are plenty of things our nation can do to uplift our own destitute and out of luck an alone citizens...with that money. With the money now saved, it can be diverted to cover the costs of our troops, counselors, educators in those nations. Then it is possible and foreseeable to reunite all the undocumented immigrants back to their now safer home countries. I understand why they flee and also understand why the US and Canada cannot absorb these large population of people, and they have the right to determine who is invited in, so....why can't there be more permanent solutions? I feel, certain pathetic political groups are playing these migrants, the law-abiding citizens and others in their game of chess. Lives are not pawns for chess. Is there a hidden path for drugs, money, prostitution that is being quietly supported? Are certain businesses lobbying in the millions and billions to get cheap labor? Is that why this problem is not finally being solved but kept alive for so many years? There are basic solutions that have not been tried in earnest. You cannot just bring everyone in and you cannot just turn your face to the problems these undocumented people face... I feel like much is not being discussed about this situation....Something else is going on that they are not covering...

As a Canadian, when I enter Canada, I have to answer barrage of questions and declare what I am bringing to Canada ,but these so called refugees can walk in without any questions asked ,and bring anything they want and can stay in hotels as our guests at tax payers money. The only thing I know is that In Canada there have been many fundamental aspects that are maintained by Canadians. Such as freedom of expression, freedom from limitations based off of sex or other social cliches and so on. \nSure we tolerate all different ways of life. This is a new wave of idealogies that will bring back the old imprisoning features, just with a new way of presenting it. We eventually found a harmony with Christianity. Tolerance is not a one way street. Canadians (and other westerners) should wake up and realize that, and also form a basic understanding about the evils of islam, that muslims stand for.\nMany douchebags and pseudo-liberals of the Ben Affleck kind, will go to great lengths to defend islam and muslims while knowing absolutely nothing about that religion or its followers, with the only purpose being to selfishly display how PC they are. A true liberal person will value their acquired freedoms and privileges, and not be tolerant of the intolerant. Furthermore, real leaders should not be afraid to bring these points up, backing them up with hard evidence (not just hear-say or opinions), for the purpose of protecting civilised society: so that muslims and non-muslims all can understand why islam is incompatible with western civilisation. If muslims are offended by any of that, then that offence is brought on by themselves. PC has no place here.\n\nHere are some reasons why islam is incompatible with civilised society:\n1. Muslims consider the quran to be the perfect book and their prophet to be the perfect man, who's behaviour is to be aspired to, so perfect that any imagery of him does him great injustice and is forbidden. Other than being plain stupid, this in itself doesn't affect civilised society much (except free speech when drawing cartoons), but this does becomes a critical point in combination with the next points:\n2. A perfect man does not marry a 6 year old girl and then f*ck her when she's 9. But that's what their perfect prophet did and they know it, often justifying it as being in a different time. Well no time ever has been ok for a 50+ year old man to f*ck a 9 year old. \n3. In this religion that muslims consider perfect, apostasy is to be punished by death (quran 4:89). This combined with the fact that muslims consider their religious doctrines more important than man-made (western) law is something that makes them incompatible with civilised society. Of course they benefit from the civilised society, but not vice versa. \n4. Then there are the many verses in the quran that order muslims to fight non-muslims (and specifically jews), order death for adultery and homosexual behaviour, etc. Just search and you'll find as there are way too many to list here.
