My friend had a crazy incident a year ago. When due to very strict rules, he lost his pgwp and became visitor status. He had to use hospital services and he called them and asked them why the bill was so high. He was given remarks on the phone by a lady that “Oh we citizens pay taxes and thats how healthcare is usually free”. I mean he was here from last 6 years and was called that like he did not pay taxes. Idk why being rude to person without knowing what thier status was before. I think people are really fed up with anyone who says they are either visior, on pgwp or TFW in general. Sorry to say but, no one should just burst on others and say oh I paid taxes or its free for citizens only.

You know. Donald and America in general. Dont give two squirts what this panty waste does or says…. America does not need Canada…. Canada however piggy backs off the U.S…. Run along now stimpy…

I like this general coming in saying this isn’t gonna end well well how was sending money to Ukraine going to end any better than not getting a return on our investment you can sit over there and say whatever they want when they’re getting loans to Ukraine, which was a slap in the face to America. You guys don’t get to ride off the cocktails of America anymore. It’s just not gonna happen.

Why is it US truckers can only deliver goods loaded in the US to Canada or Mexico? Why is it a driver can take goods loaded in Canada or Mexico and deliver them at multiple points throughout the United States? Why did American truckers support Canadian truckers when Peter Pan Trudeau was jailing Canadians for honking their horns? Why is it American has beens and generals turned media stars always know what's best for the whole damned world when they haven't lived as a ciilian for thirty or forty years? Why is it when there is no war dumb asses all over the world want to start one? Why didn't Europe listen when they were being warned forty years ago to strengthen their NATO members military? How many armed Russian tanks that squared off against American tanks in Berlin in 1961 were made and manufactured in Ukraine? Why is it it's always so hard for lefty socialists claiming to be democrats refuse to accept the change from their worldly liberal socialist big government ideals to a smaller more conservative governent posture around the world? Why do........................................

American here. My take? This is not about protectionism this is about isolationism. \nWhy would Trump want this? This is about becoming the first American dictator of the Western Hemisphere. \nHyperbolic? Nope. Trump controls the Senate, House, Doge, Project 2025 is in the White House, all the branches of the Defense Department, the Attorney General and his offices, six of the nine seats on the Supreme Court, and assigned over 250 Federal judgeships to the Federal courts which are a lifetime appointment. The ONLY thing that is standing in the way of Trump are the Federel judges that actually understand the constitution and do not want to destroy this nation. The fly in the ointment? Courts can issue an order based on the constitution or our laws, but does not have any way to enforce them if Trump should just disregard their order. That is how close we are to a dictatorship.\nWake Up America.?\n P.S. Sorry Canada! Coalesce, find new trade partners, and leave the United States behind. We are no longer worthy of your friendship.

Canada is going to have to consider when working with the US Military is a security risk. Trump at some point will tell his generals he knows best as he does in every endeavor that he knows nothing about. Alignment with ruzzia and now tariffs, this is just the start.

No one is buying the fentanil pretext. A great speech from Justin Trudeau. I sincerely hope the Americans will wake up and destitute this ''Wanna be Putin'' in Trump along with his mentally challenged vice president. Loved the intervention of former General Wesley Clark. I mean, when you served the US Army as a general, i'm pretty sure this man loves his country and hearing him saying he's totally with Canada in this issue. It's sums it all.

General Clark, time to wear the uniform again and to fix this orange mess asap. Please!

Trudeau isn't what Rogan says he is. I'm a Canadian with morals and empathy. I was formerly a centrist, possibly right leaning. That has all changed now. \n\nWe have the same far right agenda working to assault Canadian values up north. Americans are being subjected to a fairytale 'mandate' that was swindled with lies and deceit, Trumps 2 favorite tacts.\n\nI'm 40 now. Pretty brushed up on history. I can't fathom why any reasonable person thinks podcasters or real estate agents can govern. \n\nIn the past, swineherds could become Generals, yes. BUT There has to be levels of experience in Governance to handle the responsibility of having lives in ones hand. \n\nDemocracy is the only way, lets not go backwards. FUCK TRUMP, FUCK ELON.

Canada already had tariffs on certain U.S. goods before the recent trade disputes escalated in 2025. Historically, Canada has maintained tariffs on various American products to protect its domestic industries, particularly in sectors like agriculture and manufacturing. For example, under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (USMCA), which replaced NAFTA and was signed during Donald Trump’s first term, trade between the U.S. and Canada is largely tariff-free for many goods. However, Canada has long imposed high tariffs on specific U.S. products outside of these agreements, such as dairy, poultry, and eggs, under its supply management system. These tariffs can reach up to 270% on milk, 245% on cheese, and nearly 300% on butter, designed to shield Canadian producers from foreign competition.\n\nAdditionally, Canada has applied tariffs on other U.S. goods over the years, often in response to trade disputes or to balance economic interests. For instance, before the latest round of tariffs in 2025, Canada had tariffs on thousands of product categories, though the exact scope and rates varied depending on the goods and trade agreements in place. Posts found on X also highlight sentiment that Canada has had tariffs on U.S. products like dairy and cars for decades, with some claiming rates as high as 25% on U.S. vehicles—though this may reflect specific cases rather than a blanket policy.\n\nIn contrast, the U.S. generally did not impose broad tariffs on Canadian goods until recent actions under President Trump, who introduced a 25% tariff on Canadian imports effective March 4, 2025, prompting Canada to retaliate with reciprocal 25% tariffs on CA$155 billion of U.S. goods. This retaliation built on Canada’s existing tariff framework but escalated the scale significantly. So, while Canada did have tariffs on U.S. goods beforehand, the current trade war has intensified the situation far beyond the pre-existing measures

When Canadians boo the American National anthem at sporting events, please understand we love the people of the United States. It is the policies of your president that we are upset about. It is one of the ways the general public can make our voice heard on the world stage. We want the same things, strong economy, safe streets but this has gone too far. This is an excuse to force Canada to become the so called 51st state. America is beautiful, but dump the Trump. ?

Let’s go to a 90 year old general. What does this all meen. WTF. There taking Americans money. The tariff American goods. Period . It high school math. Hence. Canada’s goods are cheaper. People buy Canadian goods more. Get grandpa out of here. Push his wheel chair out. It’s high school. Common sense. We slapped the same tariffs on them . That’s it

Thank you Mr. Trudeau, for being such an honorable man. And let me say here: most Canadians, because they are generally more intelligent than most Americans, realize that less than 50% of the US voters voted for the sorry excuse for a leader.
2025-03-04 0
And then where are the general questions from public?
2025-03-04 2
I thought Canadians generally are not super-nationalistic like the Americans, and Trudeau is not exactly very popular too. But somehow the current US government external policy managed to change both of that. And if the course is not changed ASAP, it will take generations to recover the relationship.

He’s the same guy that invited Zalensky and a nazy general to be honor at the senate
2025-03-04 0
I respectfully disagree with the general. Trump is not being duped by Putin. Trump is an ally of Putin.
2025-03-04 0
I seriously respect him. I still want the west coast to part ways and go with Canada or separate in general. Trump is burning every bridge that took years to build.

I thought that fentanyl is required for surgical general anesthesia?

I'm worried in the UK as we generally follow American trends. I can only imagine who we will elect next. They will have to be well known, have lost fortunes, be a criminal, be a serial predator (and a rapist) and be obnoxiously hubristic. I don't know who this is but I can guarantee over half the population here will vote for them. Time to prep.
2025-03-04 0
I believe Americans, in general, don't want all of this either
2025-03-04 0
Thank for teach Doanl Trump thta even in a battle a person in politic could be polite and you are rignt in all , Donal Trump is a president that does not how to talk polite or have a discussion with elegance this a war for everyone and hurting the world in general special our own neighbors sad to see hope this 4 years past fast so this guy can leave america LOVE CANADA
2025-03-04 0
Maybe Trudeau should make himself available to be the next UN Secretary General.
2025-03-04 0
Can we have the Canadian President instead of ours? Both Canada and Mexico responds to the requests and demonstrate they are trying to be our allies and for some reason we still proceed into a trade war. I think there's an aspect of the tariffs where it's a tax that's not called a tax, where there will be reductions in taxes for the wealthy and then these tariffs are added taxes for the general population.

I am American independent voter who vote against Treasonous Trump this past election of 2024 in favor of Kamala Harris. While many of my fellow Americans voted for Trump many others like me did not. Now so many good and event Americans are going to suffer because of many Maga or Maga supporting Americans who foolishly chose to support Trump and his lies. Any pain and suffering Anti Trump supporting Americans, along international American Allies and theuir people, suffer will be squarely on the shoulders of Maga and Maga supporting Americans.\n\nHow Trumps first term wasn’t a wake up call and eye opener to how terrible he was and is as president is beyond me. He, treasonous Trump, did nothing to help our economy which essentially stalled or went into generally neutral state with essentially no growth positively or negatively, followed by a near complete nose dive due to Treasonous Trump’s poor handling and equally poor response to the Covid-!9 Pandemic. How people could seemed to forget that Treasonous Trump, not Joe Biden, was responsible for the current sate of things following the pandemic is beyond me. \n\nMaga and Maga supporting Americans have been conned again by Treasonous Trump, who not only failed to properly respond to the Covid pandemic but also incited and or encouraged many of Maga supporters to essentially attack the US Capitol in hopes of stopping Joe Biden’s Presidential Certification. Those in the Inter national world are not alone in their condemnation of the disgrace and embarrassment that sis current US President Trump. True Americans who believe in our constitution and rule of law as decreed by the founding fathers of our nation must unfortunately bare part of the shame Maga America has brought upon our country as a whole.Truly good and decent Americans must bare the shame of now living in a country that much International world now no longer trusts and has lost respect for. For all the hateful Maga thinking and or supporting Americans there are as many truly good non maga Americans who want more peaceful relations with allies in the international world. Sadly because of Trump and his hate many must now unjustly suffer .

Donald Trump is a traitor! Remember when they had that meeting, Donald Trump, Putin, and North Korean dictator they didn’t invite Zelensky, after this meeting that’s when Donald Trump, was putting pressure on Zelensky to sign the mineral contract that’s why Donald Trump was acting the way he was acting, because Putin was mad at him. You wanna know why, one of his top KGB generals retired. He said that Putin help Donald Trump win the presidency in 2016. He said that Donald Trump owe them all this was in the same time all this happened. That’s why Donald Trump has got pressure on his ass. Putin is putting pressure on Donald Trump. Donald Trump is the People’s enemy and that’s what I see. I’ve been following this liar since the apprentice, he is a liar and the father of the lie”

Your General said this is isolating Canada. No it isn't. The UK, Europe and Asia are very open to trade. Indeed many have existing deals which can only grow.\n\nI hear that there are a great many frustrated Americans. Americans who don't want this trade war. Unfortunately Your commander in chief is Your voice on the World stage. His choices are effectively Your choices. HE represents your country. It's him we have to deal with, or not, as the case may be.\n\nUntil you can wrestle the House, the Senate and ultimately the Oval, off these walking-disasters The US with edge closer and closer to being a Paraiah state.\n\nGood luck with that. You're going to need it. The World is already making alternative plans wrt defence, trade and political ideology. All without the US... think about that....

Prime Minister Trudeau is a real leader, calm, polite, intelligent and well spoken. Unfortunately, many americans do not see Donnie and vnace as real nor reasonable leaders.\n\nEdit: I truly hope that people like General Clark look really close at the inofrmation that came out that Donnie is actually a russia asset and groomed to have been for decades.

Anyone notice how MAGA griped about food prices and the cost of living in general during the Biden Administration but seem perfectly content with high prices with Trump in there. Biden deported more people during his term than Trump did during his first term but MAGAs don't want to acknowledge that.

Stop the Cuba Boycott, Boycott Canada. Canada, You have nothing the US needs! Pound Sand. Trudeau you are not worthy to stand in Trumps shadow. If the Tariffs are a dumb thing to do why are you so upset? F the French Canadians and the French in general. Have a good day.

I can't stand this guy's ridiculously liberal approach in general, \nbut - unlike rapidly polarised fools around the world - I am not beholden to any destructive political ideology. \nTrudeau is right about this. He deserves credit for this.\nTrump and his obsequious brown-nosing number 2 deserve nothing but derision.

The Ex-NATO General speaks nothing but pure facts.
2025-03-04 0
Chapeau Mr Trudeau. Never particularly liked him, but handled the orange man like the jackass he is. This reminds me about Nero, Fire and Rome. One thing it's for sure, like the general said: it's not going to end well.

People..Hello..I believe that Trump has aligned himself with Russia, not our allies. Trump's new DOJ has immediately ceased prohibiting foreign money or interference in our Election's. They've stopped our offensive Cyber SECURITY team that prevent Russia from attacking US targets. Why would he do that? Trump has fired Apolitical Generals and Chiefs of staff in the Military, JAG and prosecutor's who weed out fraud or corruption, even involving Trump's actions. Trump doesn't want stopped, if he wants to change the Constitution or demand the Military to arrest citizens. He's Dismantled checks and balances, and evades the Rule of Law. Trump stopped US aid to keep Ukraine's Power Grid functioning, so people hospitalized wouldn't freeze to death. We obviously have a Russian Asset running the Oval office. It only took HITLER 53 day's to become a Dictator. You had better speak up quickly, Republicans and Democrats or you are going to lose your FREEDOMS.
2025-03-04 0
Perfectly said General Clark. Trump’s actions are indefensible and inexplicable. ??

General Clark, thank you for talking about what republicans choose to ignore, putin IS playing Donald. So sad.

yay bring on general Wesley Clark the last guy who started a war in Europe under Bill Clinton completely destroying the whole country and fragmenting it up into seven wannabe gangster outlaw states good job you are a man with words of wisdom I’m being facetious, of course
2025-03-04 0
I disagree with Trudeau on one thing only. \n\nTrump isn’t smart. He’s an emotion-ridden, retributive adolescent. Sorry to adolescents generally.
2025-03-04 0
Any time you are on any kind of team, the teammates you want are ones you can trust, ones that will keep their word. One thing that has made the US strong is the allies we have. He have been able to keep these allies because, in general, we have stuck to agreements we have made with other countries historically. If you have an ally that doesn’t fulfill their end of agreements then they are not much of an allie. If Trump is thinking he can “replace” our current allies and just go become allies with Russia—Russia doesn’t have a good track record on following through on agreements in the last few decades.

USA is planning to take territories that have rare earth minerals (to compensate for the Chinese blockade of such minerals), or other strategic resources. This includes Canada (minerals, oil), Greenland (geographic security), Panama (logistic security), and Ukraine (minerals).\n\nUSA is also using rhetoric to pave the way for a war on Europe, so that USA and Russia can divide Europe between them. The words being used are that Europe is no longer democratic or secure (Vance) or that Europe is generally a bad place in a bad situation (Trump).\n\nEurope would do well to create their own military, and reduce their dependencies on USA as well as Russia. Europe would do well to seek other allies and new alliances, and to prepare for war.

18:25 Wht tf is some random washed-up general being brought on to comment!!! ??????????
2025-03-04 0
General Clark is baffled by Trump's strategy. How it doesn't make any sense to alienate our allies and isolate ourselves. To destroy our economy and internal workings.\n\nBut it becomes crystal clear if you accept the fact that Trump is serving Putin. He is Putin's asset. \n\nTrump's actions prove it.
2025-03-04 0
General Clark - my deepest admiration to that man?? He has no fear to tell these idiot reporters that the “king is naked” and he’s “being played”.
2025-03-04 0
The trade war between the US, and Canada has the general population feeling the same way Russians and Ukrainians felt. A government forcing brother against brother.
2025-03-04 0
I am embarrassed as an US citizen for what stemming from the White House in general and from our president specifically.
2025-03-04 0
Talk as much as you like, but at which point are you generals going to call this for what it is? - TREASON! Your country is going to Hell in a hand basket and you’re all sitting around doing nothing. Crazy country.
2025-03-04 0
As a Canadian, even though I have disagreements with our Prime Minister, he is OUR Prime Minister, and I am glad he is so clearly and strongly saying to the US government and US citizens that we are done playing around. We will pull together, as a country, and come out of this stronger. We are willing to take on short-temp pain to work towards finding new markets and diversifying our trade relationships. The Canadian economy is in a stronger position to survive and recover from a trade war than the US. The US Government in general has destroyed one of the most successful and positive economic and social partnerships in the world and neither Canadians, nor the rest of the world are going to forgive and forget.

we Canadians despise this blackface Trudeau \na little info on this socialist mascot \nJustin Trudeau's corrupt and unqualified government has increased the Canadian federal debt by more than all previous Canadian governments in history combined.\nHis track record displays complete incompetence, with literally no substantial accomplishments in eight years. He is morally empty, completely corrupt, and ignorant. His arrogance is disgraceful, but it's typical behaviour for narcissists.\nHe has legalized hard drugs and issues them out for free. He encourages citizens to end their lives if they feel depressed, by promoting his assisted dying program. He has also increased the catch and release of repeat violent offenders.\nHe Used the Emergencies Act to Lock Up Protesters and Freeze Bank Accounts\nHe Has Multiple Cases of Direct Illegal Interference with the Justice System\nJustin Trudeau is a master of failure. Turn the page, shut down the committee, fire the Attorney General, throw fellow cabinet ministers under the bus, lie, shift the blame, and accuse your opposition of the very crime you're committing.\ni can keep going
