As an Indian living in India, i feel so sad about the Canadian people who have suffered because of few dishonest Indians or asians who wont pay proper taxes, who wont mingle with local people, or those who abuse the proper systems that the people back have built from long time.. Anybody who goes as an immigrant should live with the people there with great respect to the culture they have built on that land.. Hope the local people will get some justice 🙏🙁

Indian students arrived in Canada as Internationals student study permit are the number one fraud scammers cheaters and enter the country. They are misusing the study permit from 2011 to up now. Majority of Indian students came in Canada for study but they never reported to those colleges and disappear and there are over hundred thousand indian students are staying in Canada illegally after there study permit visa expired it means they knew what they were up to 99.9 indian students after they complete there study they never go back to india they were more interested to get Canada PR than study.

Good journalism, it's good to get out and hear what people are thinking. In viewing, it occurs to me that it's hard for white people, and maybe Christians, to understand some Asians. I'm an American, so-called white American, and love Sanatana Dharm, or what most people call Hinduism - that term should soon be forgotten. Anyway, this video shows a variety of people called Indians but whom are vastly different in belief. So much so, they maybe fighting in India but abroad, they stick together. Islam and most Indian philosophies (they are not religions as there is no overarching institution or organization) feed the "devotees" several times a day...it is a part of the culture, shared meals with those who share faith. The Indians, they basically want a better life and will send money home. Muslims will buy land through a trust and then buy more and more. I don't know about Canada, but there are no such cultures in America - well, the Church has bought a lot of land but does nothing to serve people. The Mormons have land and a strong daily schedule, some community churches have very strong programs, but as a whole, The Church has done nothing to make itself appealing and therefore, there's no opposite or equal force. What to do? and as far as assimilating, yes, they should, but to what? Should they start playing hockey, drinking beer, etc. The second gen might. The West has lost it's way and religion isn't the solution but a culture not so decadent would be a good start.

This is horrific! As an immigrant from India who has worked his b*tt off to make a better life for himself, this makes me feel so ashamed... I feel alienated because any time I try to say something of value, i get disowned by my own community. I wish everyone was as grateful for the opportunity this country has provided us as I am. Indian Foreign minister Jaishankar himself told that the Canadian govt is not vetting the ppl being given the visas. All 5hitty ppl with crimial background are being handed over visas as if it free-for-all thing. This has to change. There should be serious filtering done before giving visas. Anyone with even a simple criminal offence in India should be BANNED forever from entering. No excuses. The quality of ppl coming has gone down like crazy. I am an Indian immigrant living on GTA. If I was forced to live in Brampton, I would rather go back to India than live in Brampton. The problem with Brampton is a subset of Indians that are easily recognizable and do not assimilate. Most of these specific subset come here as students and through family sponsorship ( not regular immigration stream). The students get false documents for their language and educational credentials. The politicians are also to blame for pondering for their votes. If there is one ethnic group that has the capacity to destroy Canada further in the future to a point of no return, it is this subset. Unfortunately most Canadians do not know this, and Indians as a general group are seen as the problem. Next time just ask them where in India these people are from, and soon you will know for yourself.

I am from India came to Canada legally (gone through 7 months of processing and waiting , submitted countless documents , photos , chat history to prove relation status and professional experience, literally submitted all my life story) to obtain PR and come to Canada just to realize that people without any of these come from different parts of the world especially India bypassing the system and living better life working cash jobs and doing random stuff. When i went to take driving license first time, An Indian origin guy rejected my application saying that my Indian License wasn't looking original enough , where I have seen people who couldn't even speak basic English were applying to get license to drive trucks. It is sad to see how many of our people are bringing a lot of 'Indianness' to this country and live like it is their own turf. I have met many young and middle aged individuals who call themselves students who doesn't even have a clue of what they are studying. It is unbelievable how people of certain status live their life partying and enjoying breaking all sort of rules , dropping out of college etc. when people who are here legally and many Canadians struggling to pay rent / mortgages / insurances etc. Don't even want to talk about job security , its a joke. Basically 80% of students from India are a FRAUD in Canada, and 100% of the Indian students in Canada come in Canada to study NOT but to stay in Canada, there are so many Indian students in Canada, that have university degrees but they register themselves into Canadian colleges in order to work and live in Canada. I had a co-worker who applied for PR and keeps waiting and waiting, one co-worker from India said to him.. “Dude! Just get marry with someone who has a citizenship and you will get a spousal visa so easy, quick! That’s how all my indian friends got it. There are hardly any quality career opportunities to attract high quality immigrants from India. Those who are educated, for them salaries have increased far more than western countries in India so they are choosing to stay back. Good balanced journalism. It showed the divide not just between those from india and others in Canada but the acceptance and community. There are those that are taking advantage while there are many that are productive and positive members of the community. The one common agreed upon idea is that canadian immigration needs to be tightened up so the posative people can get in and the people who would take advantage of or be criminals are kept outno matter what country they come from.

It saddens me for what this country has become. When I first came here, I saw the potential of what I could do in this country but that is not the case anymore. I, amongst many immigrants from India, try every bit possible to assimilate in the society and believe me we have, almost at par with Canadian values. However, post-covid, everyone seems to judge every east Indian on the same grounds as outlined by the speakers in this video. My opinion is, people who do not respect the laws and traditions of this country should go back to their countries (regardless of who they are) and do all your propaganda there especially all the international ones. The most dangerous part is that many of them are working as nurses now. I am a nurse and have been training these people from India. To be honest, it is very a hard and frustrating process cos I have to teach them even the most basic skills like taking a blood pressure or covid swab cos they know nothing. Hospitals are hiring them because they believe their “ lmany” years of nursing experience in India. Then I found out that in their country, nursing is only 3 years compared to 4 years in Canada and they do not require a nursing license to work as nurses in India. They come here, go to review centres to pass the licensure exam. And the College of nurses of Ontario allow this! Nursing is stressful enough and we do not have time to teach English and basis nursing. There are still many Canadian nurses I know looking for a job but they don’t even get an invite for an interview because even the HR department are Indians. Seriously, these people need to get investigated.

The questioner is just proving her own questions? What is non-compliance as a student? Not going to the college? How many colleges shut down their courses within the said period? Do you expect students to be firever students? What if they get work permit while still being student? This is very possible for the IT engineers from India, they are student here but get a job in USA or any other country and they leave. Where are the statistics of students who got married to Canadian nationals and decided to stop studying because of family expenses? It will be easy to track down the fees transfer and return of these said 8% non-compliant students. Did they get their money back? If not, then why didn't colleges paid the remaining fees back and report that non-obligatory to the study visa rules? I am an Indian. Many of the new comers from the North of India , whether students or immigrants, do not speak English fluently. Some, especially the Punjabis, cannot even read and speak even a single sentence in English. They bribe the immigration officials and get the IELTS certificate for whichever score/band they need. Some of them have a criminal background. When the inquiry for background check comes up, they bribe the police to get a clean certificate... and they all immigrate to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other Western countries. Every other brown skinned people gets hated and embarrassed because of these people. I have a strong feeling that many in IRCC are of Indian decent and they help these people. These people are racists, arrogant, selfish, greedy, rude, disrespectful, uncivilized and mostly unintellectual. They don't even respect people from other parts of India.
