United States will take parody with Canada as far as tariffs are concerned. We just want fair trade. The deals signed by United States were bad deals. We just want fair and even trade. There's many reasons not to like Trudeau up here in Canada, many of which are the reason he'll (rightfully) no longer be the PM next week. As a conservative I hated him for SNC-Lavalin (among other scandals), and the fact that his inexperience with the economy Harper left him is probably part of why this trade war is going to hurt more than it could have, and the fact that he's often been kind of a phony more concerned with looking and sounding good for the press cameras. Not this time. Nothing phony here; I've got to give credit to him for capturing the national mood pretty much perfectly with this speech. Good on him. \n\nAnd congratulations as well to Donald for pretty much handing the Liberals their best shot at a fourth term, too. What an absolute idiot. Normally I'd turn my nose up at having to vote Liberal, but I am so, so sick of the brand of empty populism Trump stands for that it looks like that's what I'm gonna be doing come election time.

Listening to you speak makes things feel a little less scary. To hear another world leader speak with such normality, is reassuring that democracy still exists. The last decade has been hell on Americans. Some of us have been standing up, speaking up and never giving up for a decade now. Wee are tired but we can't stop. Thank you for being a sane voice during this insane nightmare. And thank you for embracing President Zelenskyy. He needed that multileader summit embrace after what Trump did to him ?????

Im deeply amazed why Trump does all this? Is he russian asset or on a mission since all the lawsuits and people that were against him, so he wants to revenge, destroy everything that Biden managed to achieve, and do some lapdance for putler.. This guy is still trapped in the 80's. Soooo this genius wants companies to 'make stuff in the US and there will be no tariffs' and expects a company to pay someone in the US 20 or 30 dollars an hour, for an 8 hour day... instead of going overseas where a company can pay a dollar a day, for a 12 hour day, to make the same product. (Do Americans want to pay 200 dollars for a shirt, made in America, or do they want to pay 40 dollars for the same shirt made overseas. The 'new normal' does not include companies in the US trying to compete with an endless supply of VERY cheap labour overseas, and the sooner this out of touch baby boomer faces reality, the better.)

Under normal circumstances I would be the last person to support our Liberal party; especially Trudeau. His past record speaks for itself. However, his talk today to the American people and Trump actually made me feel proud to be a Canadian. It was the harshest language I have heard him use towards Trump especially after enduring weeks of degrading talk from Trump in relation to calling Trudeau a governor. I hope that the Liberals follow through with protecting Canadians.

I’m an American. I admire Canada as an Ally and neighbor. I can’t imagine a better international neighbor to have. The people there are kind and strong. The Trump administration is single-handedly trying to tear down alliances. To what end? Most likely self enrichment. I’m hoping for a normalization of relations as soon as possible. I don’t want a trade war, or any kind of war with Canada. ?? ??

Canada has been the preferred access point for criminals and terrorist for the past 4 years. I have a place right on the border and 8 months ago I caught a young East Indian who already had several felony in the states and had been shipped back to India in previous years. How the heck did that man get a student visa to come to Canada. There are 50,000 East Indian Students missing in Canada who simply used the visa to get into Canada and run the border. This is what we’re are dealing with. I live on the border and I’ve never seen this much traffic. Border guards are simply picking their targets and having to ignore others. So I ask u how do u think I feel about my property being used as an illegal highway bcz of your government incompetence. As someone who also works in native communities throughout Canada I’ll also Trudeau words fall like shit from ass. The drugs have ravaged native communities to the tune of 3/4 of the young ppl. Grandparents are raising the grandchildren and it’s all kept hush hush by the liberal media. They’ve done nothing to stop it bcz it normally boils down to minority groups who they brought in who are making it.

Our current government is deplorable and I want no part of it. This man is not my president. Is destroying my country. Trump will ruin the North American economy, and when normal businesses cannot survive, federally funded, corrupted corporations by foreign entities and loyalist to Trump‘s next term will be hailed as saviours and given extra power. Im not a politician but I supect too that the real reason for these actions are not related to fentanyl, there is something bigger that I cannot infer yet, I don't think Donald doesnt know the impact of these decisions but why do this, who are the real benefited people, because the normal and common people are not, no matter of what of the three countries, not the working people, this will afect not only jobs and stability for the north of america but also the confidence about the state of the world, we only want peace and opportunities to be better, to grow, but this just anticipates a critical new age.
