Im Canadian with a lot of health issues. Many trips to the ER, the longest I have had to wait, was about 15 mins. And if it was real serious, I was seen by a doctor immediately. I hear people complain about wait time, but the problem we have is that many people take advantage of the ER instead of making an apt with their family Dr. So if it's not an emergency and you go to the E.R. you will wait.

One of our biggest problems for years, which is extremely hard to understand is that a lot of our immensely ignorant and corrupt lawmakers make the laws protect the criminals, better than the people who pay their wages to protect the good people. We pay them to screw us and help protect the criminals.

In the early 1990s I worked with a Canadian and he said it is easy to cross the border into the U.S. but getting back into Canada was a hassle even if you were a Canadian citizen, you had to show the proper documents, be searched if you looked even slightly suspicious (aka not white). Makes a lot of sense they were keeping undesirables out of Canada but weren't concerned about who was getting into the U.S.

But you have to understand again in your Canada water video. Canada has a lot less population. That being taxes are higher in Canada but more land for your dollar. Less GDP do to a smaller number of people which also becomes a factor of Canada not making the 2% GDP to NATO. There's alot of factors on why Canada does what it does. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. I work in construction and can confirm a lot of the big companies have been exploiting this system to cut costs because they get hand outs from the government to offset the wages of these foreign workers. \n1. There are some good people who are foreign workers who do good work and want to integrate into our culture, but there are many who do not respect our customs/culture and do shoddy work.\n2. Youths who would otherwise be interested in getting into construction are apathetic, lazy and have no ambition because it's so hard to make ends meet from the ground level.\n3. While I don’t agree with anyone entering the US illegally, those that are saying “fix your own country” is easier said than done, my response to that is “why don’t you fix the things you hate or complain about throughout your life”? There is in fact no actual housing shortage in the USA whatsoever. The problem is that that wealthy individuals have strong incentives to park excess capital in real estate and landlords have strong incentives to maintain asset values through cash flow potential (appraised through $/sq.ft rent revenues). What ends up happening in both cases is that you end up with lots of empty houses sitting collecting dust artificially gaining value due to scarcity, and with rentals, you end up with perpetually inflated rents and vacancy rates that are as high as a landlord can tolerate just to maintain the appearance of value to the lenders. Often these owners will borrow more money and use an apartment that might be 40% vacant as the collateral for the lender and go buy another building and so on. What people don't penalize is the fact that that 40% vacant building with 60% rented out at above fair value gets treated on the balance sheet to the bank as if its 90% rented out from an asset value perspective thereby setting the asset price artificially high. Simple legislation of the tax code can fix this issue and unlock lots of sidelined housing. All we have to do is progressively tax 2nd 3rd 4th ect. homes higher and higher rates that essentially cancel out the asset gains, and do something similar for vacant units in a apartment building. \nIts just at the core a case of the rich hoarding something that has been made artificially rare. On top of all of this, because of how valuable properties have become, there are now many interests that capitalize on the entire process of building new housing that make it ever more expensive. Our taxes are funding numerous regulators that stymie new development, while the developers have to then hire numerous attorneys and planners to pitch a project and litigate it through the cities to get approvals. This can take over 10 years in a major city. All this contributes to the ridiculous costs of building these days.

If a man takes estrogen and testosterone blockers to become a woman, he literally becomes weaker and may not be able to pass the fitness standards. Why would we support doing something that makes a service member weaker. However, if trans men want to take a lot of testosterone shots and become as strong as natural men, I’d say that’s a win.

There are a lot of decent countries that speak the same language and have very similar cultures between Venezuela and the US. It would make starting your life over so much easier so that really begs the question why are they making that dangerous journey to the US? Seems really odd to me. I have a lot of sympathy for these people, especially considering many gave up everything they had to pay smugglers to get this far while our government was effectively letting everyone in while offering additional incentives such as money and temporary housing. That said, if we don't have borders we don't have a country.
