Tarrifs are mad toi bring companies back to america making our country more self sufficient and not so reliant on everyone else which will strenghten us. TSMC has already made a deal to start manufacturing chips here which control everything we know and china could stop that at any moment. Honda is coming here as well. All in all almost one trillion has been committed to invest in the us and this is a huge win for the long run. Alot of these countries have had tarriffs on us for ages and the people speaking out against it is because its hurting their pockets. The long run this is mandatory and we should have never let manufacturing go in the first place.

We are less than two months into DJT's term, and I have to say it's turning out much worse than I expected (and I thought it would be pretty bad). It is terribly depressing to see the country fail while roughly half of it's people cheer it on. We're seeing the fall of the US in real-time, and I'm not sure how we come back from this. My problem with the doom and gloom is people love to blame all our problem on the current PM and “wokeness”. I am not saying JT and the Liberals don’t deserve any criticism they do but all the time it’s for all the wrong reasons. Public Housing is a provincial issue, Healthcare is a provincial issue zoning is a municipal issue. However all of these issues are made worse by lack of public housing funding (looking at you Doug Ford) and nimbyism at the municipal level (looking at you Rob Ford and almost every mayor large Canadian cites have had). My parents hate JT now because property prices came down slightly but they loved him during Covid when prices went through the roof. When the liberals implemented the mortgage stress test they hated him and voted conservative in 2019 because Andrew Scheer went on the news and said he will get rid of it. When the liberals got rid of the stress test on first time homebuyers they loved the liberals again. They are property developers so they don’t mind paving over the Agricultural land reserve but god forbid a fourplex is built in our neighborhood. Now I just hope the Tories don’t get rid of the Housing accelerator fund and other funds that will make a impact in 10 years.

Hi everyone, I'm just going to weigh in some experience here. These people have given up on their government to fix things. They had it good before when Venezuela was wealthy not so long ago. They want that back. Who wouldn't. They want a chance at a better life . They have in most cases already sold all possessions for traveling money and bribes or security. They are scared and tired of traveling. They got told to come to America by someone. I wish we could afford as a country to take them all and it be ok and they build a good life here. I wish it was like that. The system we have needs work for certain. The USA is being overwhelmed by too many coming. We have to slow the roll . But it's a bad situation for all involved. They will look for an illegal way if needed to make it. Hence the cartels step in and offer a way in exchange for money or drug smuggling and the trouble gets worse. There is no simple solution here. Rough on everyone.
