I don't hate Indians. I am an avid supporter of immigration. My problem is the government allowed too many people to come too fast. The universities only seem to be worried about their revenue not the students. If enrolment is below the numbers set y the government then maybe it’s because students coming to Canada have nowhere to live.

I'm 52 years old and a Canadian citizen my whole life. Canada has always been a welcoming country. I have friends from every part of the world here in Canada. But in the couple years there has been a brutal influx of Indians in Canada. My build alone had maybe 3 Indian households. Now more than 60% of the building is indians. And the problem is 6 to 8 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment. We use to have 1 garbage bin in the basement. Now we have 3 and they are over flowing and they leave garbage everywhere( I've watched them do it). Not everyone has house keys so they leave the security door open all hours of the day allowing criminals to get into the building. They have shit in the laundry room and the garage(I have seen this happen). They smoke in the building halls and lobby. They Dont use laundry detergent when washing their clothes so the laundry machines stink really bad. I have to was the laundry machine before even putting my clothes in.Also they have taken every job in the business in my neighborhood. They aren't very friendly. They come into my restaurant and act like entitled brats and hang out for 6 to 7 hours in groups of 20 and don't tip. They're loud and demanding. Now our regular client's have stopped coming. Since these new Indians have come here they have tainted everything. I have never been a racist individual in my whole life. My family is very diverse. We are white, black, packistan, and Asian. In the last 3 years I am so disgusted in the quality of people that have been coming to this country. The biggest group is Indians. I'm sorry but be don't need any more of these assholes. We have enough of our own assholes

I am from India and been living in Canada for 18 years. I am living here with my family and I am so grateful to this country and respect the country and the freedom I have. The thing is homelessness is a fact that is coming from the most broken families. And here cannabis legal. I could see most white peoples don’t want to go to work, even there is enough work for them. And as a country to grow, they need youngsters for the workforce, but unfortunately Canadians people don’t have enough kids to support the country. And the kids are grown from the broken families maybe ending up in the streets. Indians are most of them only marry once and keep their marriage life till the end. So many divorce can ruin the life too. So the students coming here in Canada, how they get visa, Government don’t know that. We can’t blame them, because this is the offer they get from here. \nBut even though I am from India, I have enough from Indian people here in Canada. I always questioned the people from India either you guys respect the culture here or please go back. The reason I love Canada is Canadians are so pleasant and so helpful. I don’t like not only Indians but anyone who is coming to Canada, if you love the country that the country you are not living please leave and don’t mess up this country. Okay so no 100 k wont' get you that life you dream of, you'll get by in BC, but you can't buy anything. You can rent, you need 200 k now in BC, Kelowna average house is 1.1 m, Vancouver 1 bedroom is 3000 +, nobody wants to live in a jail cell, but maybe some wierdo's do? I don't know. \n\nIf your working and making 100 k in Vancouver, your working likely many hours for that, meaning there is no pay off, no car, rent a small apartment, have little savings.\n\nNow here's the REAL catch. If you make what some think is rich in Canada say 300 k a year. That works out to 182,000 after taxes, pension etc. Now homes in Vancouver, well let's maybe look at small condo's, hmm lets say a 850 sq foot condo sets you back 900 k, monthly mortgage is 6000, that's 72,000 a year, insurance, no car okay can't afford it, maybe a small car, 1000 a month insurance, payments fuel etc, cable, internet phone, etc etc food, another 2000 for a family of 3, wife one child. Thats now 9000 a month, dental, eye glasses, clothes, sports, other, another 1000 a month, 10,000 a month = 120,000 a year to live in a small 2 bedroom condo in Vancouver. Oh and condo fees 500 per month, so 126,000 a year, no extras yet.\n\nmeaning if you make 300 k a year and lets add on JOB expense, usually with high income comes some expenses, lets call it 6000 a year, suits, whatever. Thats 132,000 minus the after tax income of 182 and your left with 50,000 per year for savings and xmas, travel etc.\n\nNow you make 300 k a year and you live in a small 2 bedroom apartment and maybe some day, 10 years down the road you can buy a home. \n\nAnd the max you can afford on 300 k a year is around 1 million after a 100 k deposit.\n\nNow if you make more than that, there is NO reason to live in Canada, in BC they take 48 % of my income and what do I get lol, zilch, bad health care haha fun,

I'm certain nobody will agree with me - but why is part of the problem in the west; people get their reality from the MSM - but if I were you I would go back to Russia. The East is the future; the west is heading straight off a cliff. The only way IMO that you can be reasonably safe from that anywhere in the west is if you are completely self sufficient - and debt free - living MILES from other people - or in a likeminded community - where you are prepared to defend yourself from whats coming. I am in such a situation in NZ and even I am ready to bolt; in my case either to a small south pacific island or maybe Thailand - who are joining BRICS and therefore completely isolated from the impending western economic/social disaster. Being in Russia of course means the whole of Asia is easily open to you as well - but makes sense also because you have a history there. I grew up in Canada..Calgary to be more specific. I have now been away for 10 years, living in Chile. I go visit every couple of years and I understand completely, id have a hard time moving back. Maybe for people who have arrived in the last few years it seems fine, but for the rest of us that remeber how it was 15, 20 or 30 years ago..its a shocking change. The big cities are full of drugs and homeless, which increases crime. Its expensive and good jobs are hard to come by. I've lived in Canada for around 8 yrs, still don't get it, how come a country with 2nd largest land in the world has a housing crisis?? When I just arrived in the country, the cost to own a house was around $400k, now it is about $750k to maybe $900k. I am soooooo regret I didn't get one when it's relatively affordable.

Your comparison of Canada to the US is seriously misplaced. Canada is the second largest country in the world, next to Russia. Our population of 40 million ppl is low which is great. Canada is a very diverse country. CANADA is more than Toronto or Montreal. There are many beautiful cities in western Canada, Saskatoon is an example with a population of close to 400K and yes, it’s a city, not a small town. Personally I’d never live in Toronto, and as a life long resident of Canada, born and raised here, who has travelled the entire country. And visited several states as a former professional softball player. Travelled many countries as well as the Caribbean. I would also move to the West Indies, primarily the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines or maybe New Zealand. If I moved from the west within Canada, I’d move to the Eastern seaboard, Nova Scotia is really nice. Both of you, your eyes are wide shut about Canada lol. Everything is fragile you know. When you allow certain foreigners in a country and teach them to adapt to the culture, they get the best of living in a developed country by following their own personal beliefs. On the other hand, if you allow a huge amount of population at the same time from 3rd world countries, they become the majority, start doing politics, they don't adapt to new things, ultimately they will come up with extreme religious beliefs, their old culture, corruption, greed and can ultimately drag it down to a 2nd world country! Every country has more or less potential, the reason behind being so poor is connected to many reasons but at least 50% is because of corruption, their way of thinking, thus, mass immigration can never be a solution! Developed countries' leaders do not care about any people, they want people to keep their country's position economically high and now distracting the young generation with transgender issues with the name of so-called freedom. Maybe Western people now should start working on their life rather than taking everything for granted, maybe changing gender is not to be proud of or the only way to get attention but rather do something for your country, work, be involved in politics, be aware of life, travel with purpose, stop worshipping celebrities and understand the consequences of life in every step and you can be replaced by anywhere anytime!

International students and other immigrants contribute greatly to Canada’s economy. The government knows that that's why they were asking for so many immigrants to come here. How come one minute they had a goal 1.5 million immigrants then the next minute immigrants are the problem? Theyre just using immigrants as a scape goat instead of fixing the housing problem. Immigrants work very hard and pay a lot of taxes and the international students pay 4 times the tuition as Canadians so they are boosting the economy. Maybe the Canadians living on welfare are the ones who should leave because they are not contributing to the country.

Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. Maybe it's just the truth of a desperate Canadian economy that needs immigrants to keep fueling the 'aging' Canadian economic engine. These people come in and work hard, odd jobs (not to mention the exceptional skilled ones as well like Doctors, health care workers etc.) which the regular Canadian wouldn't do. I've been in Canada for 2 years without a Family doctor. Thank God, the last 10 different Doctors I met were all fresh immigrants and came to my rescue. Ask your conscience, without these immigrants, you wouldn't be getting your late night coffee at the time Hortons drive thru, no one to take your blood works without you waiting several months in waiting, no ways for universities to subsidize tuition fees for the poorer Canadian students. If immigrants stop coming in, the nice detached home you live in will go down in value, the nice truck you drive will become more expensive, your kids University tuition fees will sky rocket, Canadian companies selling groceries, furniture, etc. Will have lesser revenue and eventually get eaten up be American giants, Canadian companies won't have cheap labour to build those much needed housing. \nNot only question your government, but also question your 'own' people.. Where are they to serve you? Where are the so called patriotic 'original' Canadian Doctors'? They are off to US to earn more money. U think they care enough for their home country?\n If Canada won't, somebody Else will accept these people. These students are from very wealthy families who often have housemaids and servants to do domestic chores and who can afford to pay ridiculous student tuition for a second-rate Canadian post-secondary education. There are top Indian schools where it costs maybe 1/8th the cost and the education is very, very good (e.g. Indian Institutes of Technology) and certainly better than what they are getting in these second-rate diploma mills in Ontario. Moreover, there are very good tech jobs in India in cities like Bangalore. What these students are really after is Canadian citizenship, through a pathway that does not require strong qualifications. They were promised that by Indian immigration consultants. With Canadian citizenship, it is much easier to travel and live in the US, where many of them want to go (and some are even now entering illegally). \nA second reason is that these younger adults want to live independently from their parents. Many of them arriving in Canada are living on their own or with other students, for the first time in their lives, and are enjoying a lot more freedom from Indian social norms such as not being able to date people of a different religion or sexual orientation, or to marry the person of their choice instead of having parents involved. Three or four generations ago, when a lot of immigrants came after WWII, those from India were coming to large research universities or engineering firms and had a job or full fee waiver or university fellowship waiting for them. They were much more qualified and went on to be doctors, professors, business people and other professionals. This is what largely composed the Indian diaspora in Canada, until this wave of students brought along by the current government which admitted over 200K Indian students -- per year.
