If anyone is racist it’s the Indians, I was about to be homeless because i couldnt find a job. I know for a fact im not the only one, all my friends are in the same situation. They only hire their own, we pay the highest tax in all of north America. If you want my opinion, i HATE them all equally just as much as i HATE canada. As a Canadian, i beg America to annex Canada. As a Canadian I think immigration is a good thing, but the liberal government has completely broken that system. The people coming here do not assimilate into Canadian culture and they do not respect this country. This isn't the Canada I grew up in and it's not the Canada that I want to keep living in. Yeah as a Canadian who lives in the Greater Toronto Area, I can appreciate how immigration as a concept is good. But Canada is at a point now where a large influx of immigrants are shocking our economy and dropping our quality of life. And the majority of these immigrants come from one country. No hate to India, as a half Indian myself, but when you bring these people over in droves, they feel it unnecessary to assimilate as they all coalesce with each other - where they feel comfortable. So you have the majority of them who don't speak our language, who don't carry our values, and don't feel that any of it is required. And it makes you feel, as a Canadian like you're being taken over. We want a lower immigration rate, and we want a greater spread of people from across the world. I don't want Canada to become India.

a few years back Brampton had a mayoral election and one of the people running was this guy John Sprovieri and he received and email complaining that a white man should not even be running because white people no longer have any business planning Bramptons future. He replied saying that people of all backgrounds want to come because of what white people built" he was sanctioned by the government for that comment and he was touted as a racist from then on. No comment was made about the indian woman who said white people shouldn't be allowed in the government in a Canadian city anymore. Last time I was in Brampton I was told to go back to my own country because I asked a group of indians who were playing indian music from concert volume speakers in a residential area at 1 am to turn it off. I don't think you captured a small fraction of how bad it is in Brampton.

Most of this issue is caused by north Indians who find it hard to assimilate especially the Sikhs. And the issue was caused by the canadian government who prioritized quantity over quality. As an indian immigrant there are times I feel disgusted by their behavior. Due to this behavior the nicer Indians who hold up canadian values are getting the same discrimination. Me myself is a catholic indian who had to leave the country because of the religious bullshit caused by north Indians. We were not even allowed to have a peaceful Christmas in India. As I moved to Canada I faced more racism from north Indians as I eat beef and pork and dont speak hindi. I don't ever venture into Brampton anymore, as I don't do service calls or work as a mechanic. I basically got told, without being told they wanted a more diverse field of technicians. Over 12 years of work trying to get my mechanics license and I'm out. Guys can't even diagnose a ground on a vehicle, yet they can get the Red Seal license cause the "translator" gave them all the answers on the test. Lots of them coming over on student visas just to drop out or not go to school completely and take up basic minimum wage jobs from the actual tax payers of our Great? nation. The truck driving is also insane up north, past Thunder Bay. Trucks in ditches every 30-50 km's. Wheels coming off of trucks, turning around on the 2 lane highway in the middle of no where and gets the truck stuck cause they wanted to do a U-turn at 3am on blind corners. We driving our 3/4 ton work trucks have to pass our exits all the time cause they have their feet on the dash tailgating you. 90% of the ones that have come over, have made Canada a worse place to work/live.

The last generation of Sikhs were good. Worked hard. Assimilated into the Canadian culture. The new ones were a bum rush by Trudeau to keep the GDP numbers up while he robbed the country. I am concerned about the comments here! Right now we need to welcome people from the US escaping ICE! We need to be humane! I agree that we need to be discerning to risky people, and there needs to be limits. But this is an emergency situation! We need to help good people who are at risk and just wanting a better life! How would you like to be in their shoes?? It would be scary! Lets be the safe place to land for these good people!! I worked with a lot of refugees and asylum seekers. They are generally allowed to work hwhilst waiting on their claim to be processed. My experience was they are very hard working, smart and ambitious. Not settling for just collecting welfare or hwhat-not. They are net contributors to Canadian society. Fortunately, the ones I knew had their claims approved. But hwhat if they didn't? hWhat if they lied/exaggerated about the persecution back home. They're still productive members of society. hWhy send em back? Better yet: Don't make em lie in the first place! Let them live and work here indefinitely just because they want to.
