As an Indian living in India, I’d say it was your country’s government’s problem and mistake, similar to what the UK is doing now. Aside from government or policies, Indians immigrating to Canada is something that dates back to the British era, when Britain sent a group of Indians, specifically Sikhs, for security or labor work in Canada. This started the trend of Sikhs (turban-wearing ones) moving there. In modern times, the West was richer in terms of education and infra compared to Asia, which attracted many normal students and families immigrants also. Canada and America were built by immigrants, but now things are saturated, which I understand, and that’s where the resentment comes from. The majority Sikh state ( punjab) in India is still behind in development and job wise cooperation, and the historical pattern from the British era of moving to Canada for a better life has become a norm for many young people there. The close, collaborative nature of Sikhs—like a cousin in Canada inviting another cousin from India to come over, open a shop, work together, or share housing—is another reason many don’t hesitate to immigrate. These are some of the reasons behind mass immigration from India. Now, with saturation, the resentment toward immigration has grown. India itself faces issues with immigrants who live off our taxes, take rights meant for native children, and abuse policies, laws, or the environment. At least Canada has better-off immigrants—educated and contributing to the economy. While some may depend on taxes, most are hardworking and self-sufficient; otherwise, Canada’s economy would have collapsed by now. In end i can understand the hatred but you guys should stop this yourselves - not hunting them but prevent more.

India have a good universities because some countries accept their Indian people with bachelor degree as H1B visa program, but most India apply and accepted in Canada as student visa, how many finished and how many leave the country? because they allow them to work at the same time. who would not take advantage to Canadian foreign programs, and those Indian MP's in parliament will support this programs to help their kinds or country fellows to dominate this country.

Good journalism, it's good to get out and hear what people are thinking. In viewing, it occurs to me that it's hard for white people, and maybe Christians, to understand some Asians. I'm an American, so-called white American, and love Sanatana Dharm, or what most people call Hinduism - that term should soon be forgotten. Anyway, this video shows a variety of people called Indians but whom are vastly different in belief. So much so, they maybe fighting in India but abroad, they stick together. Islam and most Indian philosophies (they are not religions as there is no overarching institution or organization) feed the "devotees" several times a day...it is a part of the culture, shared meals with those who share faith. The Indians, they basically want a better life and will send money home. Muslims will buy land through a trust and then buy more and more. I don't know about Canada, but there are no such cultures in America - well, the Church has bought a lot of land but does nothing to serve people. The Mormons have land and a strong daily schedule, some community churches have very strong programs, but as a whole, The Church has done nothing to make itself appealing and therefore, there's no opposite or equal force. What to do? and as far as assimilating, yes, they should, but to what? Should they start playing hockey, drinking beer, etc. The second gen might. The West has lost it's way and religion isn't the solution but a culture not so decadent would be a good start.

This story could be based on any city in Australia as well, Indians are pouring into our country like an endless freight train. The political agenda in White countries (for some reason I can't fathom) is to destroy our race & culture. Swamping your country with foreigners from a different culture and race goes against every internal instinct a normal person would have to protect their family, race or tribe to survive in its identifiable form. Japanese people live in Japan, Chinese people in China, Germans in Germany; this is how the world should be. Otherwise, with untapped migration, no country will be identifiable by its roots or culture, which is the real tragedy, because what makes countries in the world different is what makes the world such an interesting and unique place.

I get a lot of mail for my job. Over the past year, all of the delivery guys in my area (Nova Scotia) have slowly been swapped for Indian men. I try to interact with them on friendly terms as I did with all of the folks that used to deliver my packages. They generally completely disregard me, don't look at me, don't smile, act completely aloof and cold, throw the package on my deck, sit in their truck on their phone for 10-15 minutes, and then rip out (generally driving over my grass) and speed down the road texting all the while. It is a drastic, drastic change we are being forced to swallow. I'm sure CBC would call me alt-right just for daring to ponder that fact, but it is the reality of the situation. Gas on the flames of a housing/ inflation crisis. It is absolute unchecked insanity.

Christians and muslims deserve eachother they don't like kind ,humble ,caring and progressive people, these Canadians would be better if there situation becomes like london ,where muslims even force you to follow their religion and do daily riots and try to claim the land without even doing any progress in the country....while indians who work hard for the country they live in make it prosperous with opportunity they do philanthropy, charity still getting hate for few bad people... I lived in Brampton for 25 years, so I would like to weigh in. We definitely have an extremely large indian population here. There are a lot of upsides and downsides to that. Some of my best friends are Indian immigrants, some of the people I hate the most are also indian immigrants. With any large group of people, you will always have examples of exceptionally nice people, but also horrible people. Something I noticed a lot recently is that newer immigrants are a lot less interested in learning about Canadian culture, norms, and integration. A lot of my longtime indian friends learnt the Canadian culture, Canadian norms, and wish to work with Canadians. They celebrate christmas, are respectful and polite, and are otherwise outstanding Canadian Citizens. A lot of the newer problems in Brampton can make it unattractive for others. Lots of loud music blaring, street racing waking you up at 4am in the morning, fireworks at 3am for no apparent reason, etc.

What would white Canadians rather have? Indian immigrants concentrated in 1 city like Brampton or them spreading into many cities with smaller segregated communities?

Let me ask this: If the majority of the population of Brampton were Irish immigrants instead of Indian immigrants, would that be okay with you?

I am an Indian immigrant living on GTA. If I was forced to live in Brampton, I would rather go back to India than live in Brampton. The problem with Brampton is a subset of Indians that are easily recognizable and do not assimilate. Most of these specific subset come here as students and through family sponsorship ( not regular immigration stream). The students get false documents for their language and educational credentials. The politicians are also to blame for pondering for their votes. If there is one ethnic group that has the capacity to destroy Canada further in the future to a point of no return, it is this subset. Unfortunately most Canadians do not know this, and Indians as a general group are seen as the problem. Next time just ask them where in India these people are from, and soon you will know for yourself.

I would still prefer Indians practicing Hinduism, than those people from Islamic countries..

There is Two Indian Metropolis. Brampton in the east and Surrey in the West. 2021 Census Data showed the Population of Surrey is at 568,000 38% of that population number is Indian only 3% of the population is white. They project that nearly 70% of Surreys population would be Indian by 2030. But by golly keep them away from a Big rig because they cannot drive them and give all Truckers a bad name.

As an indian, I feel sad to see that this is Canada, nobody would want anyone's country to change like this. pls deport most of them, they can't even speak English. Only allow highly educated, skilled people; race doesn't matter, even that nurse guy should be deported. One thing to highlight with not seeing any homeless Indians in that first seen is not that Indians are causing others to be homeless - rather, they are willing to help family out to prevent homelessness! When we first came here (20+ years ago from Ethiopia), we couldn’t find work and faced homelessness. Our extended family came thru and let the 4 of us stay in a small 1 bedroom in the basement until we could get on our feet. By having a room to be safe in, we avoided a lot of the consequences of homelessness that would have made getting back on our feet exponentially difficult. What I have found shocking now to see as a Canadian of 20+ years is my non-immigrant Canadian friends who will watch quietly as their family members fall under the poverty line and towards homelessness, avoiding inviting them in to not “disrupt their peace” at home. I’ve had random family of friends stay with me in hard times to avoid them being on the street while my generally kind friends (at least to others!) did not take them in. This individualistic mindset of the West really means if you have a low point in life, you will plummet to rock bottom…. Ofc homelessness and poverty is multifaceted but a more collective approach to community would also reduce the burden!

What happened in Brampton, and I say this as a brown man whose father immigrated here, is nothing short of criminal. This agenda calls to flood the White Christian Western world with massive immigration, which will erode cultural and national identities. The ultimate goal is to strip nations of their cultural and historical identities, making their populations more dependent on the State to provide a new identity. This dependency is projected to lead to the implementation of digital identification systems, biometric tracking, and other dystopian technological measures. These politicians on both sides are NOT humanists. Canadian gov has opened much of the international students for Indians, if only they did a fair ratio between other nationalities that issues now would have been controlled, if I am not mistaken, they let 250k per yr for India, rest of the international students are just 25k per yr each coming from different countries.

If they work, file their taxes, don't siphon the system and talk to me in English then I do not care what they do in their own time. On the contrary, I wish them the best. Those who do not contribute to society and merely leech off of it are the true dregs. That applies the same to a white man with needles harassing people under a bridge and a black man in a hoodie and mask robbing a convenience store (non-Indian stereotypes) as it does to any immigrant who hops the border and expects this country to fund their way. That said, there have been far too many immigrants in the last decade, regardless of origin. I've lived in my small town in BC for 37 years and somehow I cannot get a family doctor (I visit all of the local clinics annually and am on the provincial waiting list) while a lot of newer residents seem to have a doctor within months of moving here. I am glad I bought my house when I did, I would not be able to afford one today. I am not against legal immigration, just slow it down so the infrastructure can support it and properly vet those who apply. The system for deportment currently employed in the US is far too hastened and imperfect for my liking but the lack-of-a-system (or heck, acknowledgement) that this is even an issue by the current and previous Canadian governments is equally as concerning (arguably more, other folks can debate the politics of it).

I would have had no problem with bringing in Indians who were actually of quality. Doctors, engineers, genuinely intelligent men and women, where are they? Why are we bringing in all these waves of "students"?

I felt compelled to write this. I appreciate you getting both sides and also asking some "hard" hitting questions that would mostly be seen as a rhetorical with a lot of people who have a distaste for Indians (You pay international student tuition, complain about it, why are you here in the first place?). However I really appreciate that you do show the beautiful side of a community just trying to keep each other safe and well fed, while unfortunately it's a bit more explicit in the Western world that we tend to be more 'figure it out by yourself. Life yourself by your bootstraps' type of mentality. There is an immigration issue, specifically a resesntement feeling within the country, but it's still important to humanize people and communities.

I live in Brampton. I'm a Punjabi, North Indian. These old farts just want to complain about nothing. They are happy as long as Punjabis are making samosas and working hard labour jobs but oh no no Indians can't be in the government even though they have been living in the Brampton and GTA area for generations they are overlooked as real citizens but now that things have changed social media pages and channels like this have been for the past 3-4 years spreading propaganda about Indians ruining Canada or some stupid shit like that. This video is just highlighting how easy it is to make this divisive content. This is in similar lines to those Instagram reel pages that post every little mistake Indian people do and get recorded and shamed for it online. Other races do the same shit but those pages only post about Indians. Target a specific group, even though all races have people like that. Racism needs a target race, it's like a hate group that's now festering online. I don't see these racists outside, but I know they are there silently judging me sitting in a public place. As for the amount of Immigrants, complain to your government. Actually try to make a change instead of being racist and divisive. Thank god I declined my invite. I'm an Indian and was recently hired for my expertise but I respectfully declined and told my clients I would be able to remotely help them. I dont like Indians going to other Countries without valid visa or an invite from the other Country. It destroys genuine people like me.

If 10milion Indians moved into each country on this planet, there would be still over a billion of them back in Indian. If they're so hard working and so great, why did they not stay home to fix up their own country?

Brampton city government is not doing enough to integrate Indians into Canadian society. And by that I simply mean building closer relationships with the locals. More community events like festivals need to be held. Not purely Indian festivals, but mixed culture festivals. That would build more understanding and friendlier relations. The earlier generations of Indian immigrants in this video look like they have integrated well identifying as both Indian and Canadian. That's the ideal, I feel.

This is an interesting issue. I have lived in both Brampton and Surrey, and there is some real issues with immigration. But the homeless you showed made me think about the other side of the coin, these Indian immigrants would probably do a better job feeding our own homeless if they were aware they were welcome. Things like garbage and stuff, indians have less civil duty because their own cultural issues. But they have a sense of duty of family and community. So we need to hold our goverment responsible for not handling emmigration properly, but also if have compassion and bring these people into our communities as well, then you will feel a new sense of duty from them. The governance of Canada produced that church full of homeless people, so the government has imported a cohesive family friendly culturally united community. It would have been nice if Canada could have simply nurtured its own people to support a Canadian culture. . . but that's not profitable. there is a simple solution. create a federal or provincial standardize test equivalent to what they should have. if they didn't pass, don't issue the visa. i have studied indian students. almost 99% them would not be able to come. trust me

As someone who is born in Canada as an Indian. This is absolutely sad to here. I want the best for Canadians who are born and raised here. I have 10 years of experience working in the nation I was raised and I am having some people have my job who aren't even fit for the job. It makes no sense to me. Our wages have stalled due to international students for a better life, but at the end I want money just like other Canadians who have been here for ages. Also we need to end why our government allows lucrative hiring contracts overseas for cheaper positions in certain degrees and diplomas. In addition, why are all of our call centers placed all over the world. From Africa, south east Asia, South Asia. Those jobs can be available here. We can have a decomcratic country if our country didn't care about just "growth" we didn't need more immigration. We needed systematic change in government, schools, common sense, I could go on. I think us as Canadians don't know how corrupt the world really is. Look at other countries and how they work. It's lucrative essentives to benefit only certain people. I would rather have our tax payer money be used to fix the system. My dad's been here since the 1980s and he is sad for everyone. This is a loss on both ends. We didn't create new universities, new highways to support the population, no hospitals, new schools. I remember when my class sizes were 18 to 20 kids. We need change, not radical because we were never that. Let's do what we do best and be Canadians for us first.

I am Indian and here we have few states : Punjab, Haryana and Gujurat from where where every mid to low tier graduate wants to move to Canada cause it would be an easy life upgrade. The top tier ones don't go to diploma mills . Mostly they go to top US universities. Canada isn't getting any of these. I was thinking how stupid the Canadian admins could be.

I wonder if they discussed how when Indian students who unalive themselves in Canada, the deaths are not treated as such. There are many families who have the remains of their kids (usually young males) repatriated and the death is left unclear. The gov’t of Canada has been obfuscating many such deaths. Was it the Canadian govt fully at fault for the deaths? Not quite… these students are often met with predatory individuals who take advantage of their vulnerable situations: such as predatory landlords who have sometimes 15 or more students renting one house, or unjust working conditions because the employer knows that the immigrants citizenship hopes are tied to the job, etc etc. Ultimately, it’s the Canadian government turning a blind eye to these realities and trying to make the deaths appear due to things other than unalive attempts. This shouldn’t be surprising considering the way the Canadian government has been pushing dystopian legislation around their medically assisted dying program (MAiD). Canada’s medically assisted dying program has the least guardrails of any program of that type in other countries. Not just this, but the legislation for MAiD comes at a time when Canada’s healthcare and mental healthcare systems are collapsing. Trudeau said he would address this with one his re-election promises in 2021: he promised 5 billion for mental health programs. I’ve worked in the field for almost 20 years with youth and that money never arrived, nor has any serious attempt to fund programs occurred since the brutal Canadian pandemic policies massively exacerbated the youth mental health crisis. Perhaps one day someone will be able to trace how the 5 Billion promised was send off in provincial transfers that did not benefit any programs and likely only helped pay for all the upper management, because Canada’s healthcare, education and mental health care systems are absurdly top-heavy. Canada becomes moral dystopian by the day, with regular folks (working class, blue collar, low-income) bearing the burden. Everyday more people join the rank of the oppressed regular people while a few who work in the government or favored industries are overpaid and the stats around all of this corruption are further obfuscated and buried. And as all this occurs, you see bureaucrats like the on in this video smug in their knowledge that most Canadians will never learn how dark the truth is.
