Trump Voters must feel soooo proud to see how INCOMPETENT the person they vote for is

I'm from Texas, where I am surrounded by Trump supporters, I can't begin to express how frustrated and isolating it feels. It's so nice to see a president speaking so eloquently and coherently. I stand with you Canada.

What Trump do now it's a desastre for a poor American people, they gonna feel all this taxes in them pockets... ?

Prime Minister Trudeau, I am sorry President Trump's irresponsible ideas and choices affect so many negatively which includes you and your Canadians, and me and my Americans, as well as so many other. He should be ashamed of himself, but we all know that a narcissist feels only joy in hurting others. I worry every day, not just for the people of the United States of America, but also for all people around the world affected by this horrible man. I stand up and speak up with the hope that it makes a difference. Those I know are doing the same. I have heard so many republicans that voted for Trump, so very sorry now that they did. His irrational behavior is worthy of impeachment. Your speech, Prime Minister Trudeau, was honest and sincere and I appreciate your being so candid. I wish President Trump and Vice President Vance had the character you have. Best Wishes to you and the People of Canada, we have been friends for a long time and I would love to continue this friendship. As an American, Canada I’m so sorry. To the rest of the world please please hear me. Trump supporters are the minority here, most of us are actively fighting against this. Regardless of how you feel about Trudeau, this was a brilliant retort to Trump’s bullshit trade war. I felt even more proud to be a Canadian after hearing this serious pushback from Trudeau. Very well said.

So can someone clarify for me something, the US is puttint tarrifs against 3 seperate nations about 25% each and then the nations are in turn implementing tarrifts on the US about 25% each, so in total about 75%, how does trump think this is a good idea, each nations that we have tarrifs on only have a fraction of the total tarrifs we will feel, or am I wrong for adding the tarrifs from china mex and canada ??

It honestly feels like an personal vendetta by Trump against America itself.\nHe's doing all he can to shrink it's working active government, sever ties with all it's allies, and screw over it people\n\nIs this revenge for not getting his second term? For them trying to jail him?\n\nIt feels like an massive F U to his country.

Why does he feel the need to stroke Trump's ego, calling him a smart man, while condemning his actions. He articulates all the harm and difficulties Trump's actions, and these tariffs will cause, but refuses to point to the source of this stupidity directly, and call him out for it.

Trump has made us the enemy of every country except Russia. Not smart. The u.s will feel this. When people like Warren Buffet says this is an act of war well if you have spent time in the military you know trade wars are acts of war. America brace yourself.

As an American im proud of trump standing up for us and no longer allowong us to get taken advantage of. Countries are mad that they have to pay more instead, of expecting us to pay for them. Too bad, so sad. Us paying part of everyones share HAS been hurting us. The other country will just feel the pain as well instea dof feeling peace as we pay their price.

I feel sick, sad, angry, and scared with everything going on right now. As a veteran, my heart is absolutely broken.\n\nWe're stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. Remember when this same fellow froze protesters bank accounts and began collecting peoples weapons? Yet, he has the gull to talk about dictators. Trump actually wants to avoid WWIII and I hope what his administration does will bring an end to the war. Though, I do agree he should be more tough on Putin. That being said, I do agree that the crossings from Canada are not nearly as significant as compared to our southern border. It would be nice to see more from Canada in their investments to secure the border and stop crossings, cartel movements, and drug operations. The US has spent more than 409 billion since 2003 on such operations. Regardless, I feel for you Canadians and it sucks that it has come to this and I hope we keep strong relations in the future. Hopefully we can come to a fair deal soon. Mexico and China are the big players that do not do nearly enough to prevent these crimes. In fact, the Mexican government helps the cartels by not trying to stop them. China's lack of regulation on the ingredients to make fentanyl contribute to a large extent to this tragedy as well.

Nevertheless, things are upside down! USA voting at the UN with North Korea and Putin and Belarus and against the EU and UK and NATO alliance nations … against the victim Ukraine? This is unheard of! Yet this is so ironic because Leonid Brezhnev, who was the USSR leader, when Russia invaded the sovereign nation of Afghanistan, and Vladimir Putin was a young KGB agent at that time, working for Brezhnev, is now in his position as leader, and he invaded Brezhnev’s sovereign homeland of Ukraine. Brezhnev must be weeping from hell and regretting his invasion of Afghanistan! Crying from hell, seeing his servant, Putin, in his seat of authority, and invading his homeland like he did to Afghanistan, I’m sure Brezhnev regrets but it’s too late now. And all those shock and awe executive orders etc. could come back to haunt him like a boomerang thumping his head.\n\nNever in my wildest imagination would I ever imagine Canadians harboring bad feelings towards the USA! Ah yes, the trade war that Canada will surely lose. I love Canada. Wouldn't trade it for the world, but this is a losing battle by which citizens on both sides will feel the full effect. Trump appeasing Putin is a chess move, that the PM seems to be overlooking. The US can't afford to go to war with Russia, but at the same time, it needs resources within Russia's neighboring region. So the US will do what they always do, and had people listened to what Kissinger had to say, they'd be better prepared for this. Nonetheless, let's stand proud and strong, and come together as Canadians in order to get through this.

Listening to you speak makes things feel a little less scary. To hear another world leader speak with such normality, is reassuring that democracy still exists. The last decade has been hell on Americans. Some of us have been standing up, speaking up and never giving up for a decade now. Wee are tired but we can't stop. I am still at a loss and feel very unsettled that Donald Trump was elected president. His presidency is marked by retaliation and actions that are ego boosting for him. Watching in Hungary/Slovakia: Amazing speech - hope it's understandable also to many Americans. They need to understand it before they feel the impact of Trump's trade war w/ his frm allies. I wish Trudeau was our president. I hate what is happening in the U.S. because of Trump and his minions. Under normal circumstances I would be the last person to support our Liberal party; especially Trudeau. His past record speaks for itself. However, his talk today to the American people and Trump actually made me feel proud to be a Canadian. It was the harshest language I have heard him use towards Trump especially after enduring weeks of degrading talk from Trump in relation to calling Trudeau a governor. I hope that the Liberals follow through with protecting Canadians.
