Hallelujah! It's been insane! Many cities don't even look like a Canadian city from even 5 years ago. Places like Toronto etc now all look like New New Delhi. It's sad to see Canadian culture being wiped out. And there is no place to live. Canadians are learning by the process of elimination and will soon realise that the surge in population was not the main reason for the increase on housing prices or rents. The one thing no one really talks about is how giant corporations are gobbling up starter houses for smaller families which is driving the demand up and inflating the prices. These corporations have far bigger influence on housing prices than the immigrants ever will. But overall lowering the immigration eases some pressure from the system, but we need to get to the real problem.

There is another reason for migration in Punjab that is increasing population same piece land gets divided over generations and its not enough to sustain families so they prefer to send at least one brother out of country while other do farming the one that goes abroad help with school fees, construction of house, cars, etc. if there was a job here they wouldn't move out previous generations use to go in army for same reason.

Indians are most blends with the culture and customs of any migrating country! Real estate in Australia is expensive because the nation is highly successful and ordinary citizens are wealthy, and this includes real estate, plus with 3 billion middle class Asian's right above Australia the Asian economy dwarfs the US economy to insignificance. Job opportunities are dictated by the fields the economy needs - oil is insignificant in Australia compared to other industries. Geographic Isolation - Thank god the rest of the world is far away, as an Australian I wish it was further away. Air fares prior to pandemic were reasonable USA to Australia around $800 return - but this guy lives in Perth so to go 4-5,000km to the east coast will be expensive - on the east coast a one way ticket to another city can be had for around $50 to $80 - Again for Australians proximity to the US market is not significant we are focused on the Asian region. Natural beauty anywhere is amazing but I prefer a warm climate over a frozen one - The Canadian population is all centered around the US/Canadian border region the rest of Canada like central Australia is vastly empty. In conclusion I find many immigrants want to move from Australia to Canada is proximity to the USA but for Australians the US market or lifestyle is not attractive or important.

Kanada was a decent country whose biggest advantage was being a geographically connected ally of the most powerful country in history. The Canadian Left (Liberal, NDP, Green), along with the Canadian Red Tory (Conservative) has its lunatic mass immigration policy as the #1 reason for Canada's housing situation. The Canadian government is over 1 trilliion dollars in debt. Ontario, Canada's most populous province is over 400 billion dollars in debt. (not likely now) \n\nI am not muslim, I am just a regular western white girl, with priveleges I never knew I had until a few years ago, and looking at the world with increasing disgust and sadness. \nI completely understand why you'd want to move away from there, and even though I am not muslim, some of the points mentioned here are also reasons we want to leave where we are now (Netherlands). \nSociety is falling apart, people pointing fingers, our government is a ****show and puts the entire world's needs before taking care of our own problems. I don't feel safe and welcome anymore in the country that I once called home. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you two, raising kids, in the world how it is today, where people are using Islam in ways it was not intended and how it has played out to put the western population to turn against an entire group of people that also ultimately like everyone else, want to live their life in peace and safety. \n\nI wish you both the very best, stick to what you think is right! I think your reading of the situation is slight from the wrong end of scope. \n\n1> the job of the Canadian gov is to look after Canadians. (Yes they allow immigrants but that is for the benefit of Canadians and not the other way around. \n\nThe house prices are intentionally kept high. The reason is because it makes existing citizens richer. (Year on year) these people vote and the gov would like their vote) . Creating huge supply of housing is going to crash the market and that will end up people feeling poor. (Values will drop : demand and supply) . I moved to Dubai from Macedonia which is a Christian independent country. I can t say that there is a kind of racism regarding the religion there. But the country itself does not have any future for the young generation. So I've been living here for about 6 and half years in a very beautiful country weather Islam but however, the economy and the market are seasonal and very competitive. Unfortunately, many other populations are taking the economy to the other way and for that reason, I might leave from here as well. Islam is here Alhamdulillah and all but the economy fail. So my suggestion is if you move even to a Muslim country according to your 5 points. Move with the business idea if you can open your own business. DO NOT MOVE AS AN EMPLOYEES NOWHERE cause you have a powerfull passport and the majority doesn't work that way. If you move as a single that can work out. But as a family, it requires a lot to earn and survive in Muslim countries. I hope Allah blesses you with more wealth.

I caution you on one aspect that will remain the same wherever you go and that is the issue of schooling and influence - YOU WILL HAVE TO BE INVOLVED AND REMAIN VIGILANT regardless of where you go as no school can replace the foundational structure of parenting and all institutions have personalities with agendas in spite of expressed mission. As for recommendations of where to relocate also consider Suranime where 14% of the population is Muslim. Since I've lived in Islamic lands the world has changed so much that xenophobia against even other Muslims in countries that used to be so welcoming to the stranger but for a variety of reason is also factor you MUST consider. God is good and will guide you.

You should do what is best for your family. But I don't really understand your first reason. As much as Western countries are complicit in what is happening, so are many Muslim countries like UAE, Saudi, Bahrain. And I assume you are definitely planning to move to one of the countries in the Gulf. Leaving aside the government, I have seen more support for the Palestinian cause among the general population in the West that in my whole life in a Middle East country. I was born and brought up in the Middle East. I learnt more about the Palestinian cause infact living in a Western country now. Living in a gulf country, I have infact seen less regards for the underprivileged amongst my Arab friends that I see amongst western people. It is true I am a good Muslim living in a Middle East country, but I realise I am a better human being because I live now in a Western country.

The real reason for Housing crisis in Ontario is due to the ridiculous zoning laws. I know a area in Barrie zoned agricultural while the adjacent area has been densely populated for over 6+ years. The problem is not the number of immigrants and foreign workers.. it's where all of them want to go.. Vancouver and Toronto. How about bringing them to the under populated cities and towns in Canada to help those cities and towns?
