The Canadian health care is not that great, like most things you get what you pay for, even if our health care is free or said to be, but when you have to wait 6 months, with a appointment to see a Doc, or have to wait 15 or 20 hrs in some emergency room before you see a doc, is not good, & if you should see some doc you are scared they will tell you to take some over the counter medication & send you home, in fear you might die in next few hours,

The hostel I stayed at had many Latinos and upon speaking to them, they were living there for free in exchange for cleaning, reception work, etc. It shocked me that businesses were happy about this exchange of paying wages to actual Americans

These hotel owners who have been getting rich off housing migrants in they're places..... how much are they gonna end up spending repairing the rooms that migrants trashed? It's my neighbors job to make sure my house is secure. I'm doing everything I can to stop all these people coming into my house. I leave my doors unlocked and I put out a big sign that says free food, free room, free money, free everything inside. They still keep coming in! My neighbors are a big problem and I don't know why they aren't taking my home security more seriously!

Any hotel housing illegal migrants should be closed and put under new America-first management, so they help police spot invaders rather than allowing the invaders to stay in a posh room at taxpayers' expense. Any still staying in such hotels should be easier to round up though.

These students can't complain about the student fee, Housing , food and living cost .\n\nU can blame trudue for lowering the standards for student visa. \n\nTo my knowledge from friends i know as students durring high-school vs students coming to study at college. \n\nPrior to this issue these a few mandatory requirements \n\n- parents most make over 200 k usd , and assets .\n\n- you must have xxx amount in usd dollars equivalent in your bank account and open a HSBC bank account with xxx amount \n\n - u must show you can afford for your child to stay at a mandatory homestay , all the associated cost staying and studying in canada for min 3 years \n\nJust passing the first 3 requirements, most ppl get rejected. \n\n- most leave the home stay due to culture differences and end up renting a 1 bed room condo. \nThat alone back in harper days was 20 k a year.\n\nMind you these students i met are from Vietnam, a 3rd world country where a university graduate with 2 degree will make only $500 usd which is consider a very good job . Its equivalent to5 k / month . \n\nSo thier dollar isn't worth much , for their parents to have that much money to send a 15 year old to study hs in a foreign country is a luxury only a selected few can dream of\n\nAlso none of them worked and work permit wasn't allowed. If you go to an emergency room even in a small town where they only have one hospital in Canada you will be treated immediately if you have a severe condition there is no waiting

I am Canadian at the time I speak of I was recovering from hip replacement, an American lady was brought into my room from broken hip replacement surgery and no insurance, she was accepted as a patient, there was a meeting around her bed what they were planning to do to ,put her on a commercial flight home, for the fee she couldn't pay, the doctor told her he would for go his fee but couldn't say what the hospital would do about their fee, happily she was sent on her way home quickly, would this happen in America?

The reason for denying room to students is because they mess the place. Dont know how to maintain the place they live\n Not all are like tat but majority comes in. And i myself faced it. I gv my place to live to almost 5 different Indian students ar different times.. all messed the room also left me repairs which i had to spent. I had sympathy wen students come for accomodation so i gave a helping hand instead i ended up spending 1000s

You didn't address the elephant in the room. When we go abroad we follow the same rules as we have in India. We start working which violates the regulations of tourist visas. I'm not surprised we have a high rejections rate, we are a nuisance everywhere we go.

Investors have driven housing/rentals up, particlarly after covid. In BC, its $500 - $750 each for 2 persons on a small room in a Punjabi owned house... As for students, theres a middleman growing rich somewhere misleading people in India.
