Many countries do offer jobs to international students who excel in their studies if there are available positions in that field that Canadians can not fill. It is Indian recruiters who have sold the residency idea both in India and Canada. It is these recruters that teach them how to defraud our systems and take your money. If you think about it, how many successful companies hire people with strip mall college certificates in high paying jobs.\n\nWho they should be protesting against are their recruiters who sold them this illusion, not our government. There are processes for residency, not privileges.

I have a crazy idea. How about making it affordable for people already living in Canada to have a family rather than shipping in immigrants from other Countries?

And this is what we call, a ladder puller. Now that she was able to become a citizen, rather than helping her family members to get their legal status, which can be difficult, tedious and very expensive, she could care less if the lives they have already spent decades on building here are completely destroyed. She seems to be fully aware that it can be a difficult process, and I personally have seen that it’s not exactly a fair one either. I have seen some people spend not only years waiting on a hearing or a determination, but spend thousands they scrape together on lawyers and obtaining records, while others submit minimal evidence and get a determination in weeks. Instead of admitting that there are problems with the system and vote for people who are actually trying to help, she wants the same system that made it a difficult process for her to stay the same for them. In fact she voted for someone who is going to make it harder if not impossible for them to come back the right way in the first place. Is she not thinking? If they get deported, that is going into immigration records and when that gets pulled up when they apply to come back it will likely cause any legally efforts to return to be rejected. And who knows how long that will stay in their system? Could be years, could be permanent. Biden’s idea to help those undocumented who are married to citizens to be able to apply and get a temporary visa to stay here while they wait so that families wouldn’t have to be broken up by having the applicant return to their country of origin. That was not just a great idea from a humanitarian point, but they could apply for a job that wasn’t going to take advantage of them by paying below minimum wage, with no rights if they are injured. That could help bring local wages up. They would start contributing back by paying their fair share of taxes, and do on. Republicans in red states stopped it though and are suing the Biden administration for trying to do what? Help people and fix some of the issues that our broken immigration system has caused? \nSorry lady, but you earned your family’s ire and whatever treatment you get from the administration you voted for.

Are we talking about a mass deportation of people who came into this country illegally? The funding and the resources are the problems. Trump is not going to be able to deport as many as he proposes. If some of them have been here and started an American-born family, then they should get special consideration, but if it's decided they get deported it's really not the fault of the government, it solely rests on the shoulders of those who come in our country and break our laws. If the idea is to become an American Citizen breaking the law is not the first thing to do to swear allegiance. It's confusing. My hope is that we get this issue behind us with fairness and compassion, without sending the message that you can just come here without due process.

If this is what it takes to teach these people who voted against their own friends and families, so be it. I have lost all sympathy for the right wing. They went full religiously driven nutty with an obsession with believing every little crazy story and never looked back. There will be 10 million available jobs in agriculture, construction, hotels, cleaning, painting, plumbing, Uber, slaughter Maybe Rubio can bring more Cubans to fill the gap or bring people from Canada or Europe legally. I don't think those 10m are unemployed. Good opportunity for MAGAs to find work. Salaries will double, production will be increased, and the price of vegetables will be cut in half.

First Trump's administration is going to be jacked up with little known outliers with controversial and radical ideas. That is what Trump is attracted to. His ideas of tariffs and mass deportations are deplorable. They both disadvantage the US instead making it better. However, the tariffs may as well be a scam to get companies profits as when Trump says 10% on item A, companies are going to raise the cost of item A 12 to 15% or so and blame the cost increase on tariffs. For deportation's, I hope most people realize that many working the fields as low wage labor are very well illegals, but they are hired because they keep food costs low. Raising all prices for the poor Republicans will not be beneficial because prices on goods can increase 15% or more but their employer is certainly not going give them a 15% raise to match the cost of living. So Trump has already made the business environment good for more profits by planning to make life more expensive for everyone so business can absorb the additional profits. Probusiness politicians help businesses make money and that money comes from households and the government. And making the government spend more means the government needs to tax more. But TRump is cutting taxes for the people that have the most money. And Trump raising prices with tariffs justs makes households poorer and business richer. Naturally, the stock market will record highs when all the indicators are that business will be making much greater profits from households when Trump takes office.

Ah yes, the perfect man is going to fix everything. That's Trump's genius - that he can promise the world , fix nothing and convince people he did. Right now he's trying to fix the war in Ukraine and bring peace. I would deport a lot of people if I was U.S. president, but deporting Dreamers is a bad idea. There should be a bipartisan compromise: strict immigration enforcement combined with a path to citizenship for Dreamers (which is something that was unsuccessfully negotiated during Trump's first term). I'm not a Trump supporter, but I want to see Congress work together on immigration in a bipartisan manner.

Why does this butthead soon to be senator think the GOP has some huge mandate. Trump only got 50.7% of the popular vote, which means 49.3% voted against him and his ideas. If Trump had gotten 65 or 70 percent of the vote, that’s called a mandate. I think as soon as police and government officials start asking everyone who looks or sounds foreign for their papers to prove they are citizens multiple times every day there is gonna be a huge cry from the Hispanic and people of color that voted for Trump.

Thing is these people pay taxes. Between 6 to 12 Billion a year. They pay into Social Security but don't get to take it out. SO if you get rid of these people where is that money going to come from? That's why Economists say in 6 years the SSI fund will be insolvent which means no money for seniors. And who exactly are going to go into the fields to pick the fruit and vegetables in pouring rain or 100 degree temperatures? I highly doubt Americans will be lining up to fill those positions!
