I fought for this country in a theatre of war for ALL our citizens, immigrants and all, but people who shit on our beaches, destroy our neighbourhoods and push their religious beliefs doesn’t jive with this veteran. I believe in immigration and refugees but the government needs to take action. We need to take back our beautiful country before it’s destroyed from under us.

They should all be sent back for being there, Canadians have the right to protest and these are not Canadians, they have temporary SINs starting with a 9 and we can blame the public and private colleges for pushing them in to up their enrolment. They should be protesting at Conestoga and Loyalist as to why they had full time recruiters sent to India with no legal background promising a fast track to PR. I work in HR and have been saying for 7 years that these intl students being pumped in to take a BS program at a college to fast track a PR are a joke and now finally people are waking up. Also, communication wise, how can these people graduate when they can’t communicate in English clearly and misunderstand basic questions, another thinker.

The problem is simple. If its an issue of cost of living, while its true that it is very high, its very high across the industrialized world. That is because the causes influencing cost of living are not related to inside Canada but are being influenced by foreign actors which Canada has no control over. The Ukraine-Russia War for example is causing increases to food costs which are not easily overcome. The situation in the Middle East between Hamas and Israel threatens to spiral into a regional war and that threatens the oil supply and the present price for oil and gas. The Houthi have been making it hard to traverse the Red Sea which is forcing shipping to travel around Africa rather than directly through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean Sea meaning those additional fuel costs get transferred over to the consumer. As for housing, while efforts to cool housing markets have been made, Canada's housing market is still relatively hot meaning the prices remain high in big cities. Its like a perfect storm. Increased costs on mortgages are an attempt to push down inflation but in the short term you are going to feel that as well. Also we are living in a transition period as the world sinks back to the older model of trade before before Bretton Woods in 1947 which is leading to a decoupling of product lines that at one time coming from Asia were cheap but are not more expensive because they are being made back in the home countries. Transitions do come with a price. Finally, add taxes which help to deal with health care, social programs and government services like embassies, foreign missions and the army well yeah its a perfect storm.\n\nI hope you have luck where you end up but do not for a minute assume that the grass is greener on the other side. Even Japan which attempts to keep certain costs low, has been forced to increase its national consumption taxes to offset overall costs. It isn't going to get cheaper but more expensive as we move back to the old trade model. However, as the world weans itself off of the World Trade Organization and the IMF, the world also re-opens the potential to a Great Depression because that was the reason Bretton Woods appeared in the first place. The world isn't going to get better but far worse.

We are polite and good people. But like anyone, when youve been taken advantage of and it destroys the fabric of our community, culture and way of life. Our infrastructure is on the brink of collapse, health care, housing, work. Name it, and almost every canadian can see the change in living memory, in literally a decade. To all the Canadian people criticizing International Students, why do your Universities push their agents in India to send pamphlets, posters, brochure and advertisement almost every day back home in India. I fully agree with you. The International Students, most of them have no manners and are rude. I use public transport. Some don't pay fares, talk loudly in their language either on the phones or in a group. They push to get in or out of the buses. They have taken away jobs from our youth, who are citizens of Canada. They signed on the documents that they would go back to their country after studies, but NO, they want PR. That was their intention in the first place. They are inconsiderate of others. They have no respect for others. It's just them. How can we say they are the future generation of this country, who also cheat the system. There are also some Indians, Muslims who have recently, I would say 10-12 years moved to Canada, do the same as above, including loud music in their cars, noisy cars, litter and spit, also spit red liquid on the grounds, etc., it is annoying. They come here thinking they can do whatever they want to do it's their freedom in a free country. We also see that there are scammers from Call Centres in India who have scammed so many innocent Canadians, including some Seniors. I agree with you leaving. I am a 3rd generation retired Canadian who used to be proud to be so. Now I am not, in fact I am embarrassed to say I am Canadian as it is nothing to be proud of. I think of how good things were in the 70's and 80's while I was young and now how bad things are today and it is truly depressing. Back then if you are willing to work, you could make a decent living, buy a car, a house and raise a family - today, good luck with that. The people in the west have had no say in the faulty governments we have had as Ontario and Quebec have put the final nails in our coffin when they elected that buffoon JT for a third consecutive term and then the NDP kisses his butt to join up and torture us more when most sane Canadians did not ask for this. Listen I feel for migrants and refugees, but it’s also not the job of other countries to take them on. Most countries are already struggling to provide for their own people. This is why I understand why leaders like Trump say he wants to send back illegal immigrants. So much resources have to provided to refugees and migrants. It’s important for people to also push back and reform their own countries. If they are seeking refuge due to circumstances beyond any control, then it’s somewhat understandable…however, many factors need to be considered before taking them on. All country’s citizens deserve the priority first. So many countries are struggling and then are expected to provide for illegal immigrants/migrants :( it’s not fair to these countries.

They come here and want to run our country. But we say anything then we are in the wrong. As Canadians were getting pushed out and forgotten. Since the Arab countries and the refugees share a common religion and how they boast about their harmony and brotherhood. It's only reasonable and justifiable for the Arab worlds to take the initiative to welcome the refugees by standing at the forefront of the line. But that certainly isn't the case. That's why they deflect such questions and turn it around on the asker to question their own values. A neat psychological trick of diversion to save themselves from addressing the real issues and questions. \n\nThe refugees then migrate to Europe since they accepted them, and then they try to establish their religious identity in those countries which doesn't even belong to them nor they are a native of that place. This disrupts the harmony on the people already residing there as natives and with time, they push the natives back enough till they're not a majority anymore and these Islamist refugees become a majority. Take the case of Britain as an example. This leads to feeling of resistance and then uproar among the natives. Which is already happening there and so is in France. Then those refugees will demand a separate land for themselves which they don't even deserve and belong to. And hence, it leads to civil crisis, and then, a war.\n\nNotice the pattern?

I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

People crying for lack of jobs, what are your qualifications ? Your are expecting to compete with people from high academic backgrounds with half ass high school diploma, how many of you went back to work during covid or after covid? Do you understand how many Canadian Citizens want to sit at home and push for UNIVERSAL INCOME, where will the tax dollars come from if the students stop paying the obscene amount of fee, the goverment knows this but you uneducated Canadians don't lol. Yes I agree that no one can demand PR by protesting, it's a not a right. But this blatant bashing of one particular segment of immigrants, this the most fucked form racisim, if you moved here from Nigeria/Cameroon/Zimbawe/Paksitan or any other country, you guys think you are better than Indians ? PLEASE DON'T push Pierre on immigration! I don't have proof but I'm sure it's just his strategy. I can't believe that a smart conservative like him isn't in favor of cutting back on immigration. He may (and has) even said some pro immigration things but I'm sure this is only to get as many Canadians as possible to vote for him so he gets the most powerful majority in the house. The larger the majority the easier to pass his conservative laws.\n\nIf we push him too early to say what we want to hear it may adversely affect the quality of the Conservative win we get. Why? Because a lot of Canadians think anti immigration is synonymous with fascism and they'll go back to voting Liberal just to calm their nerves.\n\nLook at how Bernier's PPCs can say what you want to hear on immigration but as a result have less of a chance of becoming a majority PM than the dreaded Singh. Bernier is too honest to be a politician and unwittingly ends up giving Trudy exactly what he wants by splitting the actual party with the realistic chance to end his tyranny, the Conservative Party.\n\nDon't do the Liberal Media's job for them. Pierre can dodge their immigration questions because they're Liberal. But if we conservatives push too hard, too early on this, we'll shoot ourselves in the foot as Pierre may be tempted to be honest with conservative leaning media like Rebel News. After he wins we can push him, but don't do the CBC's job for them. You'll be throwing them a big bone to start comparing him to the so-called evil orange man from down south.

Don't blame India for this. Blame the vote bank politics of the liberal politicians you voted to power. These immigrants bring billions of dollars when they come here only to find a severely inefficient medical system and nothing in the name of jobs except factories, warehouses and Tim hortons. If you want change, push your government. Stop bringing anyone and everyone in. Your thumbnail is inaccurate too. A man with vermillion on his forehead is a Hindu. Most migrants from India are from the state of Punjab. Most of whom are NOT Hindus. A small fraction of these are separarist convicts who have been given refuge by the liberals and they refuse to engage with the Indian authorities to send them back for trial. As long as you blame others for your voting mistakes, you'll keep facing the same problems. It's not just caucasians who are leaving Canada. Immigrants who came legally a decade or more ago are frustrated here and are leaving and these include ones with non European backgrounds. Your view is eurocentric. Work on these areas.
