We need to ask if there is some kind of explanation for Trump to be doing everything possible to help Russia and damage the US! This is a very grave situation!

I think Trumps secret plan is to bankrupt USA because its in the interest of Russia. I have come to believe he is a secret Russian spy put in place to destroy as much as he can. The reason is that Putin has some kind of dirty secret on him that he desperately does not want to come out or That he owes him a lot of money and the Russian mob will kill him if he does not follow the plan Russia have set in motion. If the US does not wake up he will sell their country.

Canada has known for decades that we have put too many eggs in one basket - selling our resources primarily to the USA. We've had tariffs before and worked with them. Yet we still keep selling to the USA. This time is different. In conjunction with the tariffs, we have an American administration that is flat out insulting Canada. Saying we wouldn't exist economically if it wasn't for the USA. It's at a time when the USA won't promise not to use military force to annex land (Greenland) from a decades old ally. A time when clearly Putin is calling in his chips for whatever he has over Donald Trump. Canadians have had enough. We are directing our governments, provincial and federal, to finally, finally break from the north-south trade links. We need to establish stronger east-west trade links. The resources we have are wanted by many countries if the USA does not want them. It does mean much work within Canada. We need to get our AB-BC pipeline finished as well as the new sea terminal so we can ship our crude oil and natural gas to Japan and if need be, to China. We finally need to get out pipeline to the Atlantic coast finished so we can supply the UK and EU with our products. We need to double our rail capacity for shipping potash, uranium, rare minerals to Asia or Europe. Just as Trump hopes for a golden age of American companies coming home and building new plants in the USA, this will be a golden decade for Canada to create transportation corridors to get our resources to other buyers. America will have to look elsewhere for his raw materials. And we all know what that is - RUSSIA. They've already offered their rare minerals and crude oil. This is all clearly a well thought out scenario from the people working behind Trump to dismiss America's allies and trading partners - have us turn against the USA - as the excuse to open the door to Russian imports into the USA.

The leader of Ukraine was deposed by the EU and US when he rightly chose to strengthen ties with Russia and not to join the EU. He could see through the reality that those wanting to join the EU were young and looking to leave Ukraine whilst the older population relied on the cheap discounted fuel provided by Russia. It was quite common knowledge that the EU was after the resources of Ukraine. The difference between then and now is that Trump is doing exactly the same but told Ukraine exactly what he wants... Ukraine's resources.

Trump is making enemies out of our allies so then if some other country attacks us, our lost allies won’t back us up and fight on our side. If you think Russia is our ally, you have been duped.

Canada is insignificant on a geopolitical scale. Superpowers must maintain diplomatic ties that’s why we’re working with russia. Rather have Russia working with us than china. Trump has declared war on all of the US allies, but has decided to give his new ally Russia and buddy Putin a pass. Isn’t it clear by now, that Trump and the GOP are clearly Russian assets?; there is no other plausible explanation for what has happened with Mexico, Canada, Europe and of course Ukraine. I live in Romania and I grew up under Communism. I hope I am wrong to do so, but I really feel that as far as the USA is concerned, we are already sold to Russia. Again. I am an American and in firm support of the Canadian people, but definitely not Trudeau! Please recall not only his assault against the truckers a few years ago, but his desired seizure of GoFundMe monies that INDIVIDUALS sent to the truckers! American here. It's obvious Trump is a traitor and a Russian agent who is following orders from Putin to dismantle the US government, and destabilize/destroy all Western alliances.
