So true! I've been in Canada for almost 10 years and I second every single post you talk about. I'm very disappointed. In the employment field there is a brutal discrimination, if you are not Canadian you have 0 opportunities. Many times I have even more than the required skills and I don't even get a phone call. On the other hand, I have applied in US and I got a bunch of interviews. Very sad.

That's very sad but true reality. \nWhy don't the young people make their country a better place for themselves, instead of leaving it to persue a fantasy .\nParents shouldn't encourage their children to go in a strange, lonely and harsh environment to suffer for what??\nHeartbreaking !!!

Corruption in their home country made them to leave their mother land, else who wants to leave their home, thats the irony of their life. Sad but true.

Wow!!! This made me so heartbroken and sad, looking at the plight of International Students and experiencing it firsthand myself, I just want to appreciate the true Journalism The Fifth Estate is doing. This is What true journalism is Putting light on social issues and projecting them for people to think and make corrections in society.

I got “moderate preference for black people over white people”. Not sure if that’s true since I equally avoid all people. ? \n\nIn all seriousness great episode. Racism sadly exists in this great country and it really is upsetting.

ALL TRUE. I left Canada for the States in 2021. Single RN no dependents here, no chronic disease. There was no sweet spot for me back home. Working extra shift or working according to my FTE has always been a dilemma. Coz the more money you make the more you are being taxed. At some point, it felt like I was just working for my bills and for other peoples’ social benefits/health care. I wasn’t saving up more. I wasn’t building wealth. Definitely the safest and one of the best BUT that’s if you are WILLING to pay the price. Here in the States, I can pay my US and Canada bills at the same time. Can’t do that back home ??. Sad but TRUE.

This is SO true!!! I am American but have lived overseas in the UK and Europe. I can’t believe the difference. Living in America is so lonely! It’s isolating. It’s very sad. It didn’t used to be this way in the 40s, 50s, 60s 70s. This is a new phenomenon. Without w church family (and I’m not religious) you are literally on your own - and that’s as an American! I can’t believe what it would be like being a refugee or an immigrant. Depression is high and largely due to isolation.

I hate to say it but it's true... I live in windsor ontario Canada, when we were kids it was like that, im in my 40s in the 80s and 90s we played outside whatever we wanted. it all started with internet becoming big with social media, and I'm guilty of the video games, them as well as soon as we got Nintendo as kids my parents would make us stop and go outside, but as we got older u started seeing it less and less until where it's at now no kids playing outside very rarely I do see it in the summer but it's very true it's very sad

wow amazing so true this made me sad too ? I came to Canada when I was 9 years old with my father and sister so in some ways I was young so it was easy in a way for me, but as I got older it hit me being Spanish dominican ?? the culture different it's quite obvious, you're absolutely right people stick together in their own Community or culture, and is kind of hard to make friends, I know Spanish people here in Canada Toronto but they seem to stick to themselves and you were to think because I'm also Spanish that would have been easy for me to talk to them, but is not so sadly, without offending anyone Canada is not for anyone, you gotta be strong, Brave, quick, and smart. Credit matter alot here in Canada or you're nobody, having reference matters a lot or you cannot get anything done, the level of education matter alot here in Canada, and many more.. I can go on but there pros and cons like every country, but in all honesty I don't see myself living here forever I'm planning to move.

What the great Canada is as xenophobic as America. Why because, every country has rules regarding the migration of people. Oh wait don't feel so sad for him, let me give you a true statement. Is the reason why good school district have ways of keeping kids from bad school districts coming to those schools and using up those resources.

on behalf of those of us who are white-skinned and understand the true meaning behind BLM I want to say I am so sad that any person has ever been treated in such a disgusting way just because of skin colour! To be honest, this whole video seems so biased. I couldn't watch it past the 10 minute mark.\n First of all, if the white guy had been the first to tell the manager that he was interested in the apartments, then of course that same manager is going to tell the 2nd person (asian guy) that the availability is limited. He already HAS a potential renter, why would he need more? The 1st guy already chose one of the apartments, so of course the Asian guy would have less options.\nSecondly, and I'm sorry to say this, but statistically there are more black shoplifting cases than with any other race. It's sad, but true. These retailers are just trying to protect their assets, and it's their right.\nThirdly, that lady was in the wrong, for one, because if a security person is asking to inspect your purse on THEIR retail grounds and you have nothing to hide, then why are you being uncooperative? That just makes you look worse.
