No offence to new immigrants but if you came here past 2018 you should not be allowed to buy a house until house prices get back to sane levels. I was born in raised in a small town surrounded by farmland in Ontario and the average cost of a home is now 700k. 20 years ago it was 150k. No one I grew up with can afford a home, I'm sorry but Canadians first. Other countries seem to care way more about their own people waaaay more than here. I feel like Canadians are constantly the ones who just have to suck it up. Its absolutely nonsense. Either something has to happen or I, and many Canadians in the same position will leave. Canada sucks at the moment, do not come here! Almost everyone I talk to who is born here agrees, lib, con, ndp, doesn't matter what political party they usually vote for, they want immigration to stop, and homes to be built. We're at the breaking point.

Winter is the best! \n2) All your criticisms (job-searching, health care, housing costs) apply to average Canadians too -- it has got much worse here in the past fifteen years, especially the past five years.\n3) I am sorry to hear your view on freedom-loving Canada. I think there is a culture war playing out and the core issues have not been solved yet. I think average Canadians love their freedom!\n4) Now that you say it, yes it is hard to make friends here. We are introverted and reserved people with those we don't know. But behind closed doors, I think we are quite loud and rowdy. We simply do not want to hurt anyone's feelings :)

I’m sorry, but that is really disgusting. We do not need more immigrants. Our infrastructure and medical system is already burdened. Not to mention the government often pays for everything for them for the first year so they think they’ve got it good and suddenly when they can’t get a job, because Canada may not recognize their degrees, then they are struggling again. And sadly, if they are Muslim, sometimes they just don’t want to integrate they just want to live their own ways here, but have a better life in our country, and that’s not fair to us. That’s just my big overview and don’t get me wrong in every day life, I have some friends who are Muslim.

You wanted to come to the west to come to the west. How well did you plan your journey. I do not feel sorry for you. You made the choice to cone to this side of the world. You should have left your family in Nigeria if you are there to study. All the struggles you are talking about many other people are going through the same struggle. The first thing you should have done from Nigeria was learn about Canada, then look foe room and board that was close to your school. You should have left your family back home but that's the problem with you Nigeria. Apply for school visa then go the country bring your family trying to circumvent the immigration process. So deal with whatever struggles you are now faced with. Stop complaining you have only yourself to blame. Life in the west is not going to be easy until......

I dont know if that other person wanted to GTFO because of the health care system or the free stuff they would get to help raise a kid in Canada, and you have to think about the school system or the school system where they lived. Sorry the the USA school system is one of the worst on the planet over all.

I can't talk from a point of experience in Canada but from a point of experience in Kenya. Yes things are tough everywhere but I believe things are tuffer here in Kenya, well unless you have a good job, good business or money to invest. I have done of research about Canada, Germany, UK and even Finland. What I have learnt is that opportunities are there as opposed to Kenya. Here in Kenya it's doesn't matter if you have a skill, or papers getting a job is not easy and even harder is getting a good paying job. Most people makes less 10 CAdollars per day which today 1000 or 30 per month minimum wage in Canada is i guess 14.5 in the less expensive provinces. If you work 14 hours per \nDay which I believe possible you have about uko na 20k in ksh, pay tax of maybe 30% combined you have about 130 cad per day work for 25 days in a month you will have about 3250 net stay in most affordable place(hujaenda raha) you can get 1250 in low cost province (not Ontario or BC though here minimum wage iko juu), groceries and expenses budget 1000 per month you can save about 100k ksh pm, save in Cad for few years stay like a student on the budget but work like a donkey. Come back home in few years lets say 5 with save coins probably CAD will trading at 150 coz the hit shilling is taking mind-blowing. You will have 6m to invest any interest or forex gain use them to cover your vacation here in Kenya yes land in Diani you will have missed such weather, enda masai Mara (you deserve it), go visit your parents and most importantly find an investment opportunity you can do real estate but find ideal location but only if you have enough capital ya kujenga and then find someone professional to manage the construction not sending money to your relatives wanapiga sherehe nazo unatumiwa picha za mjengo za nyumba za wenyewe. Pia farming is underated buy a farm land in cheap area ukambani, laikipia, kajiado, taita etc at max 200k per acre 10 acres ni 2m borehole 1.5m with solar and pump. Development such as fenching and service quarters driplines 1m. 1.5 m is working capital ,use it for labour fertilizer, seeds and seedlings. Divide the farm into 5 parts along the fence panda miti ya eucalyptus, other parts do high value perennial cash crops with less management cost like 2 acres of avocado, 2 acres of pixes oranges, lime, the other 2 plant seasonal rotational plants you can even maize, cabbages io ingine do livestock of your choice. Your vacation is over, now go back to Canada and work like a donkey because you went there to work, not a vacation. I’m sorry about the negative experience of these ladies. Most young children bring their parents for housekeeping and babysitting. Once the children are in school they are on their own. Sounds like they shop at low end stores. Farmers Markets exist in all communities city wide. Specialty stores have food from all countries as do restaurants and same is with clothing! You can call a cab any time! Don’t blame Canada for lack of social life it is what you want and do! There are resources available everywhere including volunteering and making friends. ??

Sorry my American friends. I would never consider moving to the USA. Canada is the best part of North America. Unless you want to make millions as an actor or a singer as a few have done.

Sorry Tyler, but given the current social and political environment in the USA I do not want to visit the country and definitely never move there.\n\nThe challenge for me is the realization that Canada was built on community, while I see many (too many) Americans fiercely independent and not seemingly caring about anyone but themselves. \n\nCanada IS NOT PERFECT. We have gang violence, drug issues, racism, homelessness, poverty, inefficient political and bureaucratic system, but in general I feel that people will be more polite and helpful to each other than in the US.

As a French Canadian im aware of some discrimination about the funding of our community, School dont really get the money for new infrastructure. some of our building becoming more old and not really great to use i still like my place thought and i will never consider to move to the USA. According to the Americans I've talked to both who have moved to Canada and still live in America, Canada is far better than America. There's plenty of evidence showing the reasons Canada is the better country overall. The main amount of people who move from Canada to America are rich and/or corrupt people because why would you want to move somewhere that offers you less? I’m moving out few years agoes out of Canada and so happy indeed living in ?? so much freedom depending wich states you want to live freedom on money , health benefit , outdoors indoors activities etc…Canada it’s an empty country, empty land too cold and depress living and please check the population of Canada only worth one states (Texas)USA population. Sorry gals your intentions are just good as your heart but in the minute 7th I got tired to heard about all the barriers Canada has!! I'm from Argentina and even LA is boring for us. I just wanted hear what you have to say. I don't change my country for anything. Even they offered me a job in the US some years ago and I declined the offer. There are a lot of boring people in the whole north america.

As a half century Canadian I have this piece of advice to all who want to come live here, in Canada, you MUST work, then you MUST contribute at least 30% of your salary to all Canadian benefits including a pension plan, healthcare, education, and low income help is also available. Then you get old and your Canadian kids think of which old folks home they will put you in, if you're lucky you have a good and safe life from war, gun violence, a fair election system, and open arms to ANY human that wants to become Canadian, and that's about it.\nSo if you're in for a free ride, or a easy living off way of life, forget Canada.\nThe beaver is our emblem, hard working, never quit, perseverance and determination.\nCanadians are known around the world for one thing, ? we are kind and forgiving.\nStay safe, and sorry you didn't like Canada, can't be perfect.✌️??✌??

Is there a test to be a non-citizen immigrant just staying for business? What if you just want to retire in Canada, does that need a immigration test? Sorry but it's kinda weird from my perspective.

I know Canada is not perfect and I find you’re a bit hard on the red maple leaf... just because you don’t find the same things as your native country. It’s like\nfrench people coming from France, going to Quebec province an complaining about the food, the weather etc... well we’re not France, sorry to say! But I can\ntry to understand your situation; it’s probably inevitable that the comparison between your country and Canada would show up eventually. I see regularly \nimmigrants moving here and it’s true that it’s not easy. (Some people will have to be cab drivers because they can’t find work in their field). But you have\nopportunities if you work hard. I have the example of a Russian truck driver who move here with his family (wife, two kids). The man started by working for\na general transport company, then was able to buy his own truck. Now he’s able to work with whoever he wants. So I think every experience is different.\nOne other thing I noticed is that for families coming here it will always be easier for kids (even teens) to adapt quicker then their parents. I live in the east\n(the maritimes) and there is not very large cities. Some immigrants that come here will stay for a while but then they would move to a larger city (like\nToronto) because that city must have the most ethnic diversity in Canada. For cultural differences true that Canadians are like Americans in the «none»\nfashion trending. It’s a different mentality then Europe because over there fashion is a statement; you are judge on your appearance. Here, not as much.\nIt shows you don’t like winter and if you don’t your not a real Canadian! :-) Don’t generalize, a lot of people here like winter. And for taxes I don’t have a clear\nexplanation other then we have a huge empty country that needs roads, infrastructures, etc. and someone has to pay for it! (fun fact, all the population\nof Canada could fit in a country like Poland... it shows how empty it is here). I got my education upto F.Sc., due to separation in parents i had started to do jobs and still in struggle to make my kids educated. When you disclose the reality about difference between two countries please think 1% or may be sum bit, people like me feel that they are failed by the word KISMAT and you understand who make Kismat. I feel heavy heart while i had struggled for better but never got success just because i am from those who are really poor and more over belongs to a community which never been stoped to be discriminated. I am very much upset in trying to be truthful just to see most of whom had a corrupt money or ethic they get success and rate it by adding that Pakistan left no values nor else what. I know Allah is every where and sees every moment for his creature spent in living a life without any luxury or normal and always put in struggle with an end of this life. As a Canadian who has traveled to 12/13 provinces/territories (sorry NFLD) and all regions of the mainland USA I have couple comments. First, both Canada and the USA the accents and culture are very different depending on the area (another similarity!). People from Vermont have more in common with people from New Brunswick than they do with their fellow Americans in Texas. People from British Columbia have more in common with people from Washington than they do with Quebeckers. Second, I actually find that Americans are super friendly in some states, more outgoing than Canadians (like say Tennessee). Also, Drew, if you ever want to go to the Far North in Canada it's a whole other world of Inuit people speaking Inuktitut on Baffin Island - for me that area seems like another country!

Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat. Celebrating obesity is absolutely insane and it sends the wrong message to young people. If a close one is fat of course I love them but I also tell them privately that they are a walking heart attack. The thing is, Mexico is not in conflict for its people to seek asylum somewhere else. It is not good to just jump ship to any country and fight whoever so that you stay there. You struggled. You spent so much money on lawyers, when immigration laws don't approve of anyone going into US illegally and then file asylum. Sorry but the immigration lawyers just took your money and pretend to help you and that there are solutions. If a US citizen jumps ship to your country, would you declare that his presence there is illegal? US, Canada or any country wouldn't want that. I feel sorry for the guy, but the way it seems for many people who want to come to Canada or America is that they think we are going to let them in no questions asked and we have unlimited resources to help them. Yes we are fortunate enough to be wealthier than most other countries, but that does not mean we are able to accommodate every single person who wants to live in our country

People who can't speak the national language shouldn't be moving to another country especially not illegally. I can't feel sorry for this guy. I mean sure he's probably had a rough time but having kids and then trying to illegally immigrate just doesn't seem like the right way to try to live life especially not to raise a child in. \n\nIf you want to better yourself and your family learn the language and properly apply for a visa and come work here and contribute. Show Canada that your a worthy addition and eventually you can legally immigrate here. Trying to sneak in and avoid being deported isn't the way to go and it will never help your family in the long run.

Am I suppose to feel sorry for this guy? How long did he live in the states? Then tries to move to Canada. The only English I heard from him was two words at the end. I feel sorry for this man and his family! But I wonder how sorry he feels, knowing that by coming to Canada, he and his fellow immigrant countrymen have, taken jobs away from Canadians? 1500 people like myself that have worked here all their lives? I was working in the meat industry for over fifteen years, just to have my employer, take my skilled job and give it too an unskilled worker, under the temporary foreign worker program. That program was set up by the federal government for unskilled workers, coming to Canada for unskilled jobs that Canadians didn't want. My job was a skilled job, that I had to work my way up from the bottom, to the level of employment, that only skilled workers were capable of doing. This temp program was for unskilled employment only! But if your employer is big enough in the industry, the government allows them to bend the laws of the land, and give your jobs to any undereducated immigrant that comes along...WTF? Canada wake up!!!
