My very small town of 3-4k has a handful of Indian owned businesses. They're fine, friendly folk in my experience.

Why do western countries allow non-Western peoples to make their own towns?

We have the same driving issues coming into Springfield, Missouri. I see it all the time, especially on the northern part of town. People bring their bad driving habits to the United States and pretend that the traffic laws don't apply to them. For some reason, many countries ignore road safety and because of that, they bring it to other countries who do take it seriously and ruin everything.

Demographics change all the time and culture is fluid. Being pissed about it just means YOU need to have more kids. Without YOU having more children or immigration, towns die and economies shrink. It’s a simple numbers game.

I live in the northeast of the US. The Indians are buying up all these old country stores. Little small towns with the old quaint country store is now an Indian mart. It’s so odd. They have shut down 66 illegal driving schools in Brampton in 2025 most were Indian that’s why they are such bad drivers. The worst part is that every city town village has them. My families village has a population of 140 in the middle of nowhere north Alberta yet every single fast food place is staffed by Indians. How did they even find these places? The government is sending them.

I've lived in Surrey BC for most of my life, I'm an avid outdoors enthusiast and like most Canadians respect and admire nature's beauty. Years ago they built a pond on an undeveloped lot next to my neighborhood. It was a beautiful addition to the town as it allowed wildlife a place to find shelter, while giving us a little nature loop within walking distance. On multiple occasions I have caught people dumping literal truckloads of their households' trash into this small forest on a backroad I frequent. When confronted they laugh it off, and generally don't appear to see that what they're doing is wrong. The pond itself is also filled with crap, despite the posted signs informing of the harm this causes the ecosystem. From my (and most people who live here) experience it is overwhelmingly a single demographic that is responsible for the uncleanness in our shared spaces. Any BC resident can tell you about the access to beautiful nature we are privileged to, and I hate more than anything to see it being desecrated in the way I have. Most people will not speak up about this.

It's completely destroying the Canadian youth employment, aswell. Corporations are being incentivized by the Canadian government to hire temporary foreign workers so our youth unemployment rates have gone up to 15%+. Walk into a McDonald's, Taco Bell, Tim Hortons, etc, and you'll see nothing but Indians or Bangladeshis who barely speak English. In small towns you don't really see this, but in any major city like Vancouver or GTA you will.

My dad grew up in Brampton, it was a blue collar biker town. Hell's Angels ran it. Now it's Browntown aka Bramladesh I grew up in Milton just down Steeles Rd. There was an HA clubhouse until it got fire bombed when i was a kid. Plaid and Mullets is what i grew up in... Now its mostly Indian. They've pretty much connected through growth.... *cough cough ....Indian invasion. Going to my hometown is like a different place all together, when i left the was only 1 Indian takeout and it was expensive. Brownchode told me because he was the only 1 unless you wanted to drive to Brampton, he laughed. Now when i go back all the places i used to know are all Indian. From grocery to take out our dine in. I grew up in Edmonton in a very Indian part of town. It's not "Indian people " not at All!! Maybe mass migration is an issue, but it's not Indians. Maybe immigration scams but trust me, every Indian I lived with was civically minded. Blame the scams ...not the people! That's the federal governments fault!! Indian people have lived here for decades and in the UK. Unfortunately the scams have hurt the community!! (Even listen to the people in the interviews. Some of the best people I've met, and they ARE part of my community. I do worry about the scams but that's it)

Does anyone else feel like a minority in the town they were born. I was pulled over by the RCMP not long ago. They were both East Indians. One of which could barely speak proper English. I had an East Indian friend with me. I was interrogated more about being with an Indian woman than I was for speeding. They didn’t even care about my speed but pulled me back to their cruiser and kept questioning my intentions with the woman. Was fucking terrifying! So I went to the detachment to complain. Lot of people....the original citizens feel the burn since the world around them is changing. It's natural that they harbor these ill feelings. Most of them are ill informed and have these racist views. It's true for every immigrant community that emigrated from Europe as well. You have Irish immigrant towns, little Italy's, China towns, little India's, polish neighborhoods in Chicago etc ...these kind of neighborhoods are all over north America (USA & Canada). This is natural. Assimilation happens in 1 or 2 generations. Economic expansion and fulfilling social security benefits for the older generation needs population growth and a new younger workforce. This is achieved thru immigration of skilled labor force of all kinds. Population dynamics and demographics keep changing all the time and it has happened thru out human history. Now we are living in an interconnected and inter dependent world. It's better to adapt to change and move on and retain your loyalty to the country they migrated to and contribute positively to their economy and try to assimilate as much as possible and be aware of the sensitivities. This new immigration is from Asia and they are of different ethnicities and cultural background unlike european immigration that happened earlier. So some backlash to these new people's is to be expected and there will be lot of scapegoating and stereotypical epithets that will employed to demonize the new immigrant groups. We all have to adjust assimilate and move on in this great circle of life.
