The trouble with political commentators is they try to think like a politician? Trump is not a politician! So think like a businessperson, its the deal and what is the best deal for the USA. At present he is the catalyst for many things and the most worried are the politicians and a lot of their lucrative deals they have made, in most cases not to the benefit of the country! In fact, it does America a favor, so if it becomes cheaper to make it at home, guess what? That's what they'll do, create investment, employment, greater wealth etc! And like most media outlets, they like to mix facts up, its not drugs from the north thats the problem. What Trump is implying is that Canada is aiding and abetting illegal immigration to another sovereign country via government policies! Plus the Trump administration is transporting illegals back to their country of origin rather than to the last country that harbored them! And the common theme is, the people suffer for what?

Important note here: The administrative burden alone will harm Canadians more than it hurts the U.S. Furthermore, the tariffs will affect working class Canadians far more than 'bourgeois' Canadians. People have been wondering into this country illegally over the southern border for many decades now under many different presidential administrations..including many republican ones like Nixon Bush one and two Ronald Reagan..lets not act like Republicans weren’t complicit to this through the decades
