They tried to constantly prop up their housing market because Canada is such a uncompetitive economy because of all the trash and inneficient regulations. I think it’s just the normal thing, questions are asked in every port of entry, I came into Canada about a week ago and was asked exactly same questions in Toronto airport all you need is have all your documents handy and be bold in answering all the questions you are asked and be genuine. I think everyone is missing the point here. I Don’t support Israel’s retaliation, but I wondered why the Arab world has not taken in a single refugee. Poland didn’t condone Russia’s attack by taking in hundreds of thousands Ukrainian refugees. If Egypt, jordan, Quatar, to name the immediate Arab Neighbors would rally together to get the women and children out of harms way, surely the outcome would be better for these poor people. \n\nSadly this is not the case and it appears as though this conflict will never find a solution, as long as both parties are not able to set aside their millennia aged quarrel, acknowledge each other’s deep roots and belonging to the same land, and accept that they both come from the exact same bloodline. We would literally just start throwing punches at each other, it was honestly impressive how we both would manage to land equal amount of hits to look like literal bloody hell, and guess what, even those fights became competition as even our dads would throw money with the others pitching for their favourite. Fortunately, our moms, the only adults in the our community, looking back, people would just pick a side and watch as go at each other, than pull us off each other, would come stomping out of the house grab each one of us by our ears, gives us a good smack in the back our heads and sit us down, look each one of us straight in the eye, and say something like, “cut it out, you two are family, more brothers than cousins” they would demand that we both go hug it out, have a bath, if we managed to do that peacefully then we were allowed to partake in dessert that evening or allowed to stay up a little later watching tv, or whatever . My point with this overtly personal analogy is that both the Palestinian and the Israeli sides should be dragged off each there by their figurative ears pulled, sat down, scolded and reminded of their ancestrial ties to each other and to the very same land. \n\nBe honest with yourselves, some how amongst all this hate, vitriol, unnecessary death of innocent lives, are you, and those you rally with be truly ok with your opposing side coexisting harmoniously beside each other? If the answer to this question is no, the other side can not have any claim to this land and needs to be removed to god knows where, if not off the earth all together then it’s your people, not mine, that are doomed. We’ll still be chilling in North America, horrified at the unfolding events but chilling nonetheless. Although it somehow claims to not be doing so, the actions of Israel demonstrate a gruelling callousness towards Palestinian life or right to life, and the staunch calls of the constant pro Palestine protests, calling for the eradication of Israel, none absent of a deep, hate and disgust towards the Jewish people. Both are in need of serious internal reform. Honestly as a complete outsider, SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU. I don’t care who started it, or who said or did what, at this point it is imperil that this end immediately. And as an outsider, I think it’s is important that pressure be applied to both sides to put their weapons down. I don’t recall the last time anyone even mention the Israeli hostages, putting any pressure on Hamas to do the one thing that would definitely appease the Israelis. In the same breathe, Israel needs to be further pressured to stop being so trigger happy and lay off of it. \n\nI can only hope, I guess. In the meantime i should really refrain from ranting on YouTube.

I was born and raised here. I am doing my exit plan as I cannot afford to live here as young-adult living on my own. The government knew exactly what they were doing when they allowed 9 million people to come here in a short amount of time. How can you provide billions for foreign aid but can't provide basic necessities to your own citizens? I have cut EVERYTHING extra out of my life and even while working a full-time job I cannot survive in my own country. Canada is a country for the elite, cliche style immigrants, and for the ultra wealthy who pass down intergeneration wealth. A failed health care system that provides little to no services at which you pay out of pocket to get access with private health care providers. You can't depend on transit as it is the mercy of the corrupt transportation/commissioners aka unions and the cost of gas is out of this world. I AM SO LUCKY I went to university and graduated when I did because the same degree would have cost 15k-20k more...food is super expensive...renting an apartment is seen as a form of luxury....you have to know someone to get basic things done. What a shameful society...a society that treats immigrants with upmost respect only to turn around looking the other way when it comes to homelessness...the housing crises...lack of employment oppts, gosh I can go on. My brother was lucky enough to move to Dubai and cash in on his savings by investing it into his properties where he pays 0 tax on his salary from his job.

I lived in Western Europe, Japan and at the moment, Canada. I lucked out getting a well paying job in Vancouver when I moved back a few years ago and my average tax rate is actually the exact percentage you stated in the video - 28%, which includes income tax, pension and employment insurance. I'm actually doing better in terms of quality of life now but I do miss being able to travel around Europe for cheap. (e.g., quick train ride to Paris for the weekend) Now, I take cheap flights (e.g. Flair Airlines) to Mexico instead.\n\nJust to state some data points: when I was in Europe, I paid a total average of 39% income tax on a lower salary than I have right now in Canada. Things like utilities (e.g., gas/electricity), restaurants, certain grocery items and electronics (e.g., iphone/PS5/computers) were significantly more expensive because European VAT (inclusive) is usually 20%+. \n\nI don't have the exact numbers but on average I believe I was paying 70 - 90€ ($100 - 130 CAD) just for electricity each month for a small flat, but I am now paying $30 - 50 CAD for a decent sized 1 bedroom. I believe my housing gas bill was about the same or possibly a bit more. Prior to Canada (Toronto) where I moved last year, I lived my life pretty evenly split between USA (many big cities), China and Serbia. Canada is by far the worst place of any of these and I'll gladly move back to either of them, or to a new place. I have no idea who likes it in Canada and what exactly, but I can't find ONE thing better here than what I had before. And worst of all, the people. Omg, they're horrid! ?

Imagine for one second if the migrants raided your homes armed and kicked you and your children out to move theirs in with the claim that your land belongs to their ancestors. American expat in Germany here. The tax/salary problem is the same here. \n\nEvery cool place has been overrun with people seeking to move there. I say this as someone doing exactly that, so please don’t think this is “anti immigrant” or anything like that; my spouse is an immigrant. The same thing has happened to cities where everyone from the home country tries to move there from the “uncool” suburbs. \n\nSlowly, then suddenly all at once, the affordable housing vanishes, any government appointment is impossible to get, jobs get scarce, and taxes go up. \n\nBig respect to immigrants, newcomers, and to weary, crowded, overtaxed locals alike. There is just no way to preserve any desirable place when x-million people move there.

Just to be clear the things being taught in schools “without parents knowing” are all online for parents to access anytime under the Government of Ontario website. What the parents see are the exact same documents the teachers use. Also, the Ontario curriculum teaches about all different types of families because students come from all different types of families. In terms of “indoctrination” each curriculum specially talks about critical thinking. \nOf course if your child comes home talking about something that concerns you just reach out to the school/teacher. When it comes to religious reasons alternative arrangements can be made to keep your child from gaining more knowledge on the subject of your concern.

This is exactly why I moved my children out of America 10 years ago. We moved to Turkey and we couldn't be happier. Your list hit the nail on the head, and a big one for me too was we never heard Azan, we couldn't easily pray, halal food was an issue...all the things you mentioned. Now, me and my daughters never fear walking alone or wearing our Abaya or hijab. We are never judged here and the people are so welcoming and kind in Turkey. It was the best decision we ever made. Just remember wherever you guys pick make sure that they speak the same dialect that you do otherwise you're going to have that learning curve of learning their dialects. It is different in a lot of places like learning to speak like the yemeni do is different than the Pakistani. So just keep that in mind. My grandfather is from Yemen and his wife who is my grandmother and my dad's side is from sudan. And they used to tell me it took them a while to understand each other. My Syrian grandmother on my mom's side would teach me words and phrases and my grandpa who was from Yemen would always make fun of me because I wasn't saying stuff right. I'm not really good at speaking Arabic but I can get by so just remember when you guys are picking somewhere to pick a place that won't be that hard to understand people. I'm only saying that because with the kids you guys send the kids to school they may learn a different dialect than what you taught at home and it will be a learning curve for them to try to understand. But I'm sure you guys will make the right decision. I just figured I would throw that in there I'm sure you already know that the dialects are a lot different and Arabic is a lot different in different parts of the world. People think Arabic is all the same and it's really different. Just like people who speak Spanish in South America speak different dialects on the Puerto Ricans just like people in Brazil don't speak Spanish they speak portuguese. Just a thing to think about. Egypt seems to be a pretty good place I have family that live in Egypt and they really liked it but I'm sure you guys will pick a place that's wonderful for your family and I can't wait till you guys know when we can see everything that you guys are doing in your new home Korean and I totally understand I am so upset the United States took the stand that they did with the genocide in Gaza and in the occupied West bank. People don't understand exactly what's going on there they don't know if they're not really up on current events and don't have any people in their family who are from a Muslim country they don't really know what's been going on. I’ve lived practically my entire life in Canada and I have been thinking the exact same things you are talking about. I have started to look and am very interested in Turkey. I am planning a trip this spring Insha Allah. I would suggest you put Turkey on your list. May Allah guide us in our path. Ameen.

I know of many families leaving because of exact same reasons, including how the gov handled covid and lockdowns. No one has ever regrette their decision to leave. They are much happier. The only thing that is better in Canada is you can get large plots of land, e.g. 50 acres with a home. That is difficult to find elsewhere.

Hello Saleh family, I have been following you for over two years now; I am not american or canadian but a physician and mother of two from a third world country in the Caribbean. I started following you because I was curious about the muslim faith and your way of life. I started following different muslim people (and jewish, vegan, homeless and more... basically anybody different than me) and after some time I saw that we were all humans in search of the same things in life. I completely agree with your decision of moving but was very disappointed in your comments towards the drag community. A person in drag reading a children's book is not indoctrination. A person in drag reading to kids is only teaching them acceptance and tolerance (exactly what you want the world to give to your girls who most likely wear a Hijab). A person in drag is an artist who finds joy and self worth in certain clothes, hairstyles and makeup... it is a person a human person with the same value as everyone else. It has nothing to do with sexuallity or sexual orientation... if we truly want freedom for Palestine, if we truly want to change the narrative and to prevent 75+ years of brutal occupation and racism ever happening again; we have to change the way we see our differences... is not enough to ignore and respect people who are different: we have to accept them and recognize their humanity and their worth; to value and foster acceptance and integration in the younger generations... that is the only way forward, that is the only way we will all secure a better future for our kids. Interesting about the islamic atmosphere, I live in England and there are so many Muslims around me, I even hear they calling to pray once a day but I don't see a Christian atmosphere even though it's said to be a protestant country but for sure there's a Christian atmosphere back home in Brazil.\n\nI absolutely love living in Europe (Ireland and England) but I do miss this atmosphere from Brazil and my culture that 1000% I want my kids to have.\n\nI have the exact same opinion about things that are being taught at school that goes against my believes and i know many Christian parents are making the change to homeschooling and i might do the same when it's my turn.
