If you want an escape from this bs then start forming groups like the Indians do and rebuild our society and communities with non Indians. It’s not racist to say that because that is exactly what they are doing to us, driving us out of our own communities we’ve been in for decades to only replace us with Indians. I have or had no issues with immigrants, we need them to fill jobs but it’s not done at a pace that is feasible for a society to be mixed and not one sided.\nThere will be no province to hide in except maybe southern Nova Scotia where there isn’t many jobs it’s more a place for retirees, but now I’m hearing I’m wrong, the are in the Deep South of Nova Scotia, but anywhere is better then Ontario.

Vancouver real-estate is essentially a money laundering operation for rich foreigners looking to stash their money somewhere. Protections were put in place a little to late back in 2016 with the foreign buyers tax. But honestly most of these foreigners can either be exempt from this tax with their citizenship loop hole (anchor baby) Or honestly they just pay the fine since they can afford it and just need to get their money out of the country they are coming from. Its quite dystopian because building more homes like the government keeps promising isn't going to solve the problem either. This is because its just going to add more to the volume of housing that the foreigners can buy up from the locals and adding more fuel to the problem. Immigrations Canada is lying to new comers. To top it off, BC just recently passed a law in 2024 where you can no longer build single family residences in the lower mainland area. WHERE are the families going to go then? Can anyone even afford a family anymore? Vancouverites like myself who were diligent and saved every penny are walking away from mortgages in droves because who wants to lock into a 30 year term amortization period where at rate plus prime your looking at 5.5%-7% where the bank makes more than double in interest from you. Over the course of 30 years you still lose because even if your property appreciates past double. Capital Gains will take into effect. Your loosing money no matter what! It truly is a nightmare designed to enslave you financially. This is simply wealth creation suicide. Came from immigrant parents in the 1990s, I slaved for 10 years during my twenties, didn't come from wealth, didn't party, didn't have fun, studied hard, and started a business and I still cant break into the Vancouver market. So I ended up just barely squeaking into the market in Abbotsford. Vancouverites as a whole are screwed. Time to pack up and move to Alberta I suppose. I will also preface by saying that most of BC is empty and that it would make sense to built outside of the Vancouver area as Vancouver has now basically become fiscally unlivable. It might make sense for the next government that come into power to decide to invest in building in other towns and cities around BC to incentivize Canadians to move.

I’m a Canadian and my wife is an immigrant for Punjab and even she thinks this is all getting out of control. She came here to start a new life with me after we met and to get away from Indian culture which she thinks is now seeping into everything. In India it’s survival of the fittest, one must do everything they do and take advantage of everything in order to scrap by. Canada and the Canadian mindset isn’t equipped to handle that, so it’s no surprise you’re suddenly seeing Indians everywhere who are telling Indians back home how to exploit the systems to get more money fast. Hijacking what systems Canadians have to gain the social mobility that they can’t have in India but in doing so they’re making it like India. They don’t respect any other culture than their own my wife won’t even step foot in Brampton because it looks, sounds, and even starting to smell like India. And the problem is being exasperated because these people who are from very tight families are trying to bring their whole families too people who are elderly with no literacy or language skills to integrate into Canadian society to work and contribute to the economy so they just live off of their children who came first. I’m not racist all of my friends are international and are of one ethnicity or another and I’ve been to India and love the country it’s beautiful with amazing food lol, but this is getting too much out of hand and we’re letting in the most cut throat Indians in who will exploit everything and step on anyone to get on top. They won’t even respect Canadian laws and customs. We’re not equipped to deal with them

The problem with most Canadians is that they are parroting the leftist rhetoric. I have chatted with many people that I met in the nearby park when my dog was still alive, but every time I tried to feel people out about their stance on immigration, they immediately began to regurgitate the brainwashed bullshit that the woke left had fed them. I only know a few people who have similar ideas, but it's nowhere near enough to start a movement. I'm an Aussie citizen as well. Thinking of moving back at some point, even though I know the situation is almost as bad as it is here ?.

I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

Immigration numbers seem a problem because of pathetic macro economic and infrastructure mismanagement. I dislike most Liberals and NDP like every sane person but Conservative hasn't done much better in managing Ontario. \n\nWhen there is lack of business growth, when there is lack of policing, things get worse for an unemployed society. It's literally policy making weakness that makes a community a target, and divide people amongst each other. And for all the hate Indians get for living crowded (which I don't think anyone should for that matter, for life in comparison would still be better back in India), at least Indians aren't homeless, which in itself prevents a lot of them falling prey to drugs and crime. Check crime stats and you'll see the Indian community performing way better (as in less crimes) than many others.

But real Canadians have no democracy.

Irony is all these people who are getting interviewed are first and second generation immigrants as well. Due to the inbuild hate towards other immigrants you would only get one answer which is there are too many. One thing that no one seems to be understanding is excessive immigration was never a problem since Canada is so big that by the pace it's going and with the ageing population it still needs immigration to keep our economy afloat. Why are you guys trying to target hardworking people? does anyone know the kind of benefits refugees get ? No cent has been paid in tax dollars by these people. Their rent is paid for by the government, their children's education is paid for, these guys have no clue about how to communicate in english. Students paid fees to get education here and gave exams to certify the level of english, I worked in Insurance and telecommunications sector and imagine explaining shit to these guys who are not interested in listening to how it actually works then come back and blame service reps for hiding facts. While it is their lack of comprehension of the language which is the actual problem. These people get their immigration status easily while students who arrive here pay thousands in fees and are still considered a problem ? \n\nLack of governance is not something that you can blame on the immigrants, the system has been in place for a while and it was being gamed before too, but the government sleeps at the wheel. In Nova Scotia, there has been unthinkable amount of PRs given to students, who did not go to any of the Atlantic Canada Universities, came here for just gaining PR IN FOOD SERVICE SECTOR and then leave as soon as their cards were in the mailbox, While I spent 9 years here in Nova Scotia and still cannot apply due to such constraints caused by these people who keep moving here from Ontario just because their province would not approve their PR. Who will make the government accountable ?

I hate that all indians get a bad image because of this. Most come just for opportunity, gujarati, people from Mumbai, and some honest punjabi's. Don't blame India for this. Blame the vote bank politics of the liberal politicians you voted to power. These immigrants bring billions of dollars when they come here only to find a severely inefficient medical system and nothing in the name of jobs except factories, warehouses and Tim hortons. Most migrants from India are from the state of Punjab. Most of whom are NOT Hindus. As a Canadian citizen, I see that there are 3 major issues at play in this problem - \n\n1) Canadian colleges are starved off funds and do not have a sufficient, stable source of revenue. Hence they seek to attract international students who pay (at least) 4X the fee a Canadian citizen would pay. According to mainstream media such as The Globe and Mail, National Post and others, International students contribute some where between $15 to $18 billion per year in revenue to Canada. This is huge!\n\nSince this is a lucrative revenue stream for them, they have gone overboard and are providing strong financial incentives to education / immigration consultants to bring more international students here. Consequently, many existing as well as new colleges are encashing on this trend and diploma mills have mushroomed in Canada lately. This is ABSOLUTELY Canada’s fault and the accountability of fixing this lies with Canada alone.\n\n2. International students who come here often end up taking humongous debt or selling off their homes/ancestral property to be able to afford their education and hence they feel cheated when the dream they were sold doesn’t match the reality. \n\nHaving said that, International students do need to understand that they are here or a temporary visa and DO NOT get to dictate terms to Canada. It is Canada’s sole prerogative to extend their work visa or not, depending upon Canadians requirements.\n\n3. The Trudeau Liberal government benefits by giving these students extended work permits and a pathway to citizenship as it translates into votes for them. However this is an atrocious approach to winning elections and puts unnecessary pressure on the system. \n\nCanada needs to streamline this whole student visa process and take stringent action against these fake diploma mills, education and immigration consultants luring foreign students. It damages Canada’s reputation.\n\nLastly, extend the work permits of only those students that meet Canada’s labour standards and requirements and send everyone else back home.

There IS NOT a lack of housing in canada , there IS ONLY an affordability problem along with far too much immigration by volume and time frame . Our services and infrastructure (ie; transit services , health care , employment , realisticly affordable housing , finances , etc .) are no where near adequate to accomodate canadians even before the over populating of foreigners . They have been coming here and buying up all the affordable housing during , and post pandemic , with offers far above listed or fair market values , to push owners to sell without question or thought . Following this they stack multiples into these homes illegally and against code , to be able to take up all employment at wages that canadians can't survive on ,forcing them out of employment , homes or both . Once stable and trained to know that business operation , one of their people buy the business and no longer hire any canadians . YES ! TRUE FACT!! How is this accepted ? This is something we could never get away with anywhere .... Selling your country , one property at a time , is only absolute lunacy . They pay top dollar and care nothing about the money , because being that they own most of the businesses , they will get it all back from you within about a years time by raising prices ultimately to do so . The problem of feeling locals as immigrants in their own country is due to addiction of drugs. So question that first. Secondly, immigrants are back bone for Canadian economy. South Asian Indians are fourth generation Canadians and are educated, successful and have assimilated with the European culture. The french lady should see Montreal, it is cool to see Indians, Chinese speaking French. Do you ask why there are too many Chinese in Chinatown? Assimilation for new immigrants could be something in common e.g. free classical piano lessons for everyone in school. Music and language is a great first step in communication. Being an Indian immigrant myself (now a citizen), this is absurd. There's rules to follow. There's 3 problems as I see:\n1) The structure of the Canadian economy - heavily dependent on services, natural resources and real estate. Due to this Education has become a business. Colleges, Universities & Diploma Mills are more than happy to admit international students who pay 3 times the normal fees. \n2) Lack of a screening process - not taking in immigrants based on skill and education.\n3) Taking in too many immigrants from 1 ethnicity & region - the Indian state of Punjab, a region suffering from drug epidemic, alcoholism and crime. Not sure why you'd want low quality immigrants. If you notice all the protestors here are Punjabis. Canadian immigration is business in Punjab. Many immigration consultants here in Canada are Punjabis and have business links back home.

Really disappointed in Pierre P with his stand on immigration and foreign students...he losing my vote and donations,with his stand on this topic. Slow immigration and send those students back home, it is just a scam as they are noted for that, they have no right to protest in Canada too!! I am from India living in India now. Never lived or worked in Canada, but visited Canada multiple times as a tourist.\n\nThis situation is kinda tricky for everyone. While immigration is unavoidable for any nation of today, the way people immigrate to other countries really frustrates. Nations just go by whatever documents are submitted to the embassies to grant visit/student/work visas. Most of the time, the documents are cooked up or forged in order to secure entry into other countries. This is very common in India as well. \n\nIndia too have serious problem with the Canadian Govt, which openly backs & harbors terrorists from India such as Khalistanis. Of late, Canada has become safe haven for global terrorists, who need a safe shelter. I still wonder, what is stopping India from getting Canada declared a terrorist state.

Canadian companies are the problem as well. They pretend they can't find Canadians to work (been experiencing this since 1976) and then hire temporary foreign workers, and the illegal immigrants. The Canadian business owners then get Canadian government grants and subsidies from 50% to 70% to cover the temporary workers wages and more than likely when they hire illegal immigrants as well, along with kick backs for providing housing. Canadian companies also pay those workers under the table, especially in the hospitality industry, and lay off Canadians and keep the temporary foreign workers and pay them under the table. Now if the Canadian government would offer grants and subsidies when Canadian companies hire Canadians, more Canadians would have full time jobs with livable wages. The Canadian government has to stop allowing foreign entities from buying Canadian businesses as they only have to hire 1 Canadian. After that the foreign entities who bought Canadian businesses are allowed to bring in as many of their workers as they want. That has to be stopped as well.

I'd be careful about mentioning an increase in immigration as a source of a problem here without providing any evidence of how that's specifically harmful. \n\nYes, we have an influx in international students - often underinformed young people scouted by private companies in places like India who are gravely mislead on what to expect once arriving in Canada. International students specifically are facing tons of injustice and being used as cash cows by companies and our government, since international tuition is much higher than domestic tuition. \n\nBut right now, skilled immigrants are helping build our cities back up. It takes a lot of people to plan, design and build infrastructure, to repopulate failing systems (cough cough, healthcare), etc. We're in a recession and individual industries are struggling a lot right now - but not because of immigrant workers. In fact, they are picking up slack, taking jobs no one else wants to do, and keeping the gears of our society turning.

I’m a little late to this video but have a lot to say. As a Canadian of Indian descent, I have always avoided Brampton. There is a stark difference between Indians from Brampton and those of us that are from other cities. This situation is out of control mainly due to JT but also colleges that have setup feeder international schools that cater just to Indian students. I’d imagine Chinese students have something similar to this as well, they’re just more quiet. \n\nA lot of the comments come off as offensive but it is what it is, There are too many of my ethnic people here and they’re not assimilating let alone intending to do so. Chain migration is another problem as it brings in an older generation that has no desire to learn English. Crime is having a runaway effect because of the environment they come from, fights break out at intersections, parking lots, backyards, front yards, etc. This is reckless and embarrassing for all Indians, especially us Punjabis. This goes unreported because of how vindictive these people are because of whichever town/city they came from. There are also rumours that these female students are home wreckers so there’s another layer. \n\nMy solution: \n1) Stop immigration, these people are giving our entire community a bad rep when we’ve worked so hard to get to where we are in this country. Return to skills based immigration, not WEF-based. \n2) Cap the international student populations tied to the census - this opens up opportunities for international students from ALL countries and walks of life. \n3) International students cannot be allowed to work - Canadian students First, Canada First. \n4) After graduation, give students 1 year to find a job in their field of study. If they can’t find one, send them back and learn skills and then that’s their only back to Canada. \n5) if they do make it to immigration, we need a better system than just a simple memorization test - have them demonstrate their command of the English language, look at their value added and potential for the future. \n6) Conservatives need to be a part of the solution. A lot of the comments are just complaints and complaining will get these folks voting red vs voting blue each and every time. That guy commenting about no temples in Timmins will just push these people to the liberals and this is what JT is counting on. We need to show these folks what being Canadian is about so that they leave Brampton and assimilate. I only half agree with him at this point. We've overwhelmed ourselves to the point that allowing for further immigration will only cause further problems. We need to actually cut it off and breathe. We have the same problem. I actually like the people, but….somehow, immigrants have managed to have been able to acquire the vast majority of retail jobs in our area. How is that possible? There are businesses and fast food chains with not one white person working as an employee. I spoke to a former worker that was at one of these businesses for years and asker her WTF happened? She told me that the company hired a new manager from India, within 6 months, half the staff were Indian, local students were not being hired for part time jobs, only Indians, by the end of the year, every single employee was Indian. \nShe along with other quit their jobs because….not because they’re racist, but because not only were they being treated differently than the now majority brown workers, but they were being made to feel excluded because…the manager and the new staff all spoke a different language, they would all work together in a group not speaking English at all, saying things and laughing making it pretty obvious that they were making fun of the white employees. The “manager” would ignore the white staff’s complaints and he would then seemingly punish them by giving them less hours, change their duties and give “the good shifts” to the new brown people to the point where the white people were made to feel alienated as well as cutting back their hours leaving them with not enough hours to make a living. “This is Canada Mother Fecker” these people need to speak our language when they’re in public or at the workplace with “Canadians” or…employers should fire them. I will note, that the A&W that this happened at, has changed not only by every single employee being brown, but the service is not near as friendly, they all speak to each other in a different language behind the counter.. the seating area is not even close to being clean, the tables usually are left with trays and garbage that aren’t being cleaned as customer leave. It so bad sometimes that I literally have to pick a dirty table and remove the garbage myself because every available table has not been cleaned….and the bathrooms …. I don’t even want to talk about it they’re so disgusting. And when you complain….they turn to other employees and speak a different language… so we have no idea about WTF they are actually doing or saying about the issue. “ Thank you Sir, we will take care of that.” And the next day…it was the same. I’ve stopped going there along with everyone that I know…our work crew along with our families can no longer support such a dirty, rude and disrespectful business.

The Liberal government has opened the flood gates of immigration as a means to win successive elections by attrition. Trudeau is a sneaky guy. Immigration is not the problem. There’s a lot of immigrants coming into this country but later to find out that there immigration status is rejected and they get sent back home to where they came from originally. So now the new loop hole is they come in this country not as an immigrant but as a refugee so they can get their Canadian citizenship a lot easier. Can’t kick out a refugee, that would be inhumane.

He's cut back foreign students and foreign temp workers. But will new housing come to fruition in time to house the current year's newcomers? If any housing delays or shortages, bringing in to Canada another new group of 500K immigrants plus students/temp workers will further strain the temporary housing, infrastructure. The problem will accumulate. So if we thought it was bad after year #1, it could get worse. The two (available finished housing, newcomers) must be in balance. Housing costs will NOT stabilize UNTIL the necessary new supply comes into being.

I'm an immigrant myself, came to Canada 20 years ago. Back then, the immigration was a real challenge, the barrier was high. Years of preparation (language, certifications, whatnot), and years of waiting.\nBut now? Everyone's welcome. No language, no qualification? No problem. Back door is widely open.

I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

I do not see a problem having international students. They shall have their own money for tuition, accommodation and food. Our taxes shall not subsidize foreign students. Also as soon they have finished their schools they shall go back to their countries. And if they want to immigrate they shall stay in general line for all applicants. Why Canada promises PRs for foreign students and their families? It may be one inexperienced graduator in family and the rest a bunch of low skilled workers immediately asking for welfare to survive. I do not see any benefits for Canada.

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I think that will help
