I understand seeking asylum, but it burdens our economic system, health system, and safety. There is a legal way to enter. I moved to Texas 4 yrs ago. I've never seen such a burdened health care system and such low wages for jobs. This has to end. The whole immigration law needs to be revamped. It must be done legally. This is almost like an invasion of the US. Biden will not get my vote. When moving to their country, you need a sponsor, must learn the language, and prove you won't be a burden on their health care system, etc. This is simply not right.

Uhhh can anyone say ‘invasion’? Where the living heck is the military?? Annnd give it a few months and we’ll start seeing half of them up here in Canada accessing all of our social programs ( ie: say good bye to healthcare for the rest of us who have paid into it our whole lives and may need it someday ) and probably being housed for free. No problem just bankrupt all the current citizens so we can hand our country over to them. ?‍♀️No problem. I’m so glad I was responsible with my money my whole life just to have it all taken away by illegal migrants.

What Americans do not understand is that there are people in other Countries who are starving because their Countries have gone bankrupt, or their government system has collapsed in those Countries. Venezuela, Brazil, Greece, Pakistan, Argentina, Haiti, Cuba, and a whole list of more of which media is not telling the American people. America itself has put those living here at risk, for refugees to come in in drones, because the more illegals they let come into America, and allow to get their citizenship, the more individuals they have who can vote either Republican or Democrat. Why, while Trump was President, did he not finish building the wall to help stop the flow of illegal immigrants from coming in over the border, when he had the resources to complete the wall on his watch? And why is Biden and Kamala just sitting back and allowing these illegal immigrants to enter the US in herds? Because there is another election coming up soon, and they have to allow these scenes to be portrayed in order to help shape the minds of the voter here in the US. The American people need to wake up and stop fighting against each other, and work together to help vote for a Presidentsl Candidate who will actually do something to change the narrative at the Border and to help the American people here in the US first. What a mess on both watches, democrats and republicans!??

As a Venezuelan who migrated and still travels in the proper ways I can surely say many there want true help. Venezuela is insane compared to what you people even live whit, best work you can get there will make you up to 90-120 bucks a month, no food in supermarkets, some insanely expensive which will make you choose between buy bread or tuna and rice for a whole month ( imagine not being able to eat your favorite meats or prefered food FOR MONTHS, EVEN SOME YEARS) , if you are a professional or educated of course the opportunity grows up but not in a socialist country. as we know you can be a socialist in a capitalist system but not the opposite and this is a fact. Those people are genuinely scared with no home back in their country as for many houses and private properties have been removed with force, some of you sure will be wondering how or why not to follow the main curse to migrate? I had to spend 3 days sleeping on a huge queue with many other people also sleeping in the streets to get our passport(that's was the easy part, 4 years to get the date to finally get that fucker passport.), something so simply done in other countries which such ease, not to mention the whole cost for a passport (I knew people who paid aroundn 700usd to get it asap). \n\nPlease don't pitty these people nor hate on any inmigrants, some families there really wish for a future, and again as someone who had the opportunity to do my papers. We do not wish this upon no body. The pain in the hunger, the fact the money from your country is so little valued that even video game money has way more worth.\n\nIt's a very scary place which we are trying to genuinely scape from.\n\nHopefully for my brothers and sisters from the states try to understand, hopefully these people at some point will need to understand that doing things out of fear will not get them far. I’m happy I watched this because I have been wondering about this depression wave that is in this country if I was the only one feeling it. All these points are valid. Don’t get me wrong canada is a beautiful place and give you access to learning and living with many different cultures which one of the things I love. But all these points these ladies stated just prove that I wasn’t just overthinking. Sometimes this place feels like an open prison tbh, specially Quebec which is the highest taxed province. It’s literally a life of work, pay your bills, feed yourself and work again. 2weeks vacation in a year of work, with 8 off days a month, isn’t enough for the brain and well being of someone. One find themselves doing everything under pressure because of the trauma that many jobs have created. People will walk under a storm, rain, thunder, you name it! just so they can earn that 130 a day.(using the minimum wage,). The gouvernement does it best to put all these programs in place, but no one want to always feel like your life is being controlled because you need a 1000$ check every month. People get tired of this dependency as well. The whole is thing is just depressing ?

Over 300,000 homeless veterans wander the streets searching for food and shelter currently. Dying at an estimated rate of 22 a day due to self inflicted harm….the system in place to take care of them and provide comprehensive medical care is crippled and broken….every SINGLE ONE of these men and women has a head full of bad memories and experiences from defending their country in war (some missing limbs)….can’t hold a job and have trouble finding a job….NOONE is making substantial and reinforced efforts to care for these brave men and women. Yet, if you cross that border illegally you’re given shelter (free stay at 5star hotels in NYC sound nice)…comprehensive medical care…food stamps and even job placement for some. And in some cases, we’re providing that help to individuals who are simply making a pit stop between Mexico and Canada because it’s better for them there according to some. Frankly, we have enough issues that are swallowing us whole and need to focus on building up and caring for our own citizens and force stop mass migration, strongly enforce deportation as well as employing more case workers to help with legal immigration process. We spend all this money sending to Ukraine and yet here we are, cutting our own throats to save someone else’s hand. I have no issue with legal immigration and asylum but you need to go through the process like those before you. I know this is asking a lot but it IS possibly to make it work

My family and I came to the United States back in the 70’s because our country became a communist country . We were granted asylum and a long expensive journey began for my family to become US citizens and proud of it !! It is mind boggling to say the least to see these people at the border like this ?? you just can’t go and barge into another country without the proper documentation/ permissions to enter . This is what you’re reporting? Let’s cover the 5 million people plus that have already entered this country illegally, yes illegally since Biden took office. We have two more years of Biden, and I predict a minimum of 15 million people will enter this country illegally, (lots of unknown god always come in the middle of the night, do you think they wish this country well? ). it’s a catch and release program!!!! Not to mention, there’s a lot of aliens, that did it the right way, and all of these illegal aliens are taking cuts. Our border is in complete and total shambles. CNN please please please have somebody down at the southern border every day, at different points of entry, and report on that. There is operational control at the border, but it’s by the cartels not the US government. I live in a border state, I have watched this my whole life. I have never seen it like it is right now. It is insanity. It’s a straight up invasion.. it’s hard to imagine unless you see it first hand. Which I do..

This whole situation is untenable. It is devastating to the migrants that have to leave their homes and try to enter either the United States or Canada to apply for asylum. No amount of border protections or treaties or walls will solve the problem. And that problem is the political, economic, and social conditions in their countries of origin. In my opinion, Canada and the United States (more so the United States) need to step up to see if there’s any way to help politically and economically stabilize those so people would not need to leave their homes in search of a better life. Yes, it would cost money… But there would be definite dividends in the future as we would no longer have to invest as much money on our borders. I very much realize not only the complexity of the problems in Latin American countries, but also the complexity of what I am suggesting. But everything we have done so far has been useless, so we need to change our thinking.

We already can't rent.. We need a looooot of free rental units to create a good offer & demand balance not xtra people.. Everything is in demand .Make them serve Canada ? with obligatory military service . They can be deserving, Build their entry housing & whatever we may need . Well Canada is a great country, my grand parents were able to get here in 1957 with their 3 kids, after going through and surviving WWII, work in Europe was scarce and employers were abusing their workers everywhere. My dad was one of those 3 children's, he met my mother here, they had me and my sister. Today i have 3 boys of my own and my sister has 2 girls. Canada has any country as their plusses and minuses, but i wouldn't live anywhere else. I've lived my whole life on the south shore of Montréal, worked in and around Montréal for 35 years. Never ran out of work as long as i was willing and able to work. I've worked in all my life, 65% immigrants and 35% Québecer's. There both are kinda racists in some way and they have there own reasons as well. I was bullied in school till i was 11 years old, i had an accent and dressed differently since my dad made our clothing. Being ridiculed, pushed, punched etc, and then one day the bully of the school approached me and wanted to fight me. I was scared, everyone else were laughing, so i clenched my fist and punched that kid right on the nose. Everyone got quiet and the principal came out, we went to his office and then he asked me straight away : Are you gonna do this again or was it a one time thing ?? I said it will be one time thing unless someone else wants to fight me again, then i will have to defend myself again. He said ok and now go back to class, and that was that. But in the 1970's with the augmentation of people moving here after WWII, people in Canada were scared immigrants would steal their jobs etc. My grand father worked all his life till he died at 82 years old. Worked 6 days a week, 12 to 16 hours a day. My dad had worked all his life 70 hours a week and sometimes 85 hours a week. People complaining about doctors or hospitals, a lot are going in for a cold, the flu, headaches etc, for sure take 2 aspirin or tylenol and stay home, no need to see a doctor for that. If you have a broken limb or were in an accident, you go right in and get fixed up without issue really. Any country as it's inconveniences in the end ?

I’ve watched the video and I’ve read many comments. My message it’s to immigrants, Canadians & everyone. Just be some patient to read for you to think reasonable after this. I’m sure you’ll start to be reasonable regarding Canada. I had a good life good job & a nice home in Ukraine. Due to the barbarian russian invasion my family & I fled the horrific situation in Kharkiv city. I was driving a mini bus of 4 families! Most are children. We’ve arrived to Europe. Crossing many countries (Poland, Czechia & Austria) we’ve arrived to the country leading the EU. In Poland & Czechia, we’re treat very good by the people. In Austria we got hardly a payed hotel where children could get a rest!!! We still didn’t understand why they don’t want to give us rooms despite we’re paying for our staying!!! In Germany, I believe that the government did its best. But the number of comers is huge! Of course many they got disappointed as happened with me! But I still understand and believe that really the government & people did theirs best. So fast I got a job! The social connection helped to introduce me to the company! But i was not hired, I still to express myself & my qualifications. The manager was understanding, so he accepted to communicate in English and to offer me the job in case if I am successful doing the job during the first week at the site. I had to change the machines menu into English. So the manager was very satisfied with my job and I got that job. The rent! You’ll get it only if you receive the blessing of each member of the county and a very strong social connections! The doctors! To make just a blood work for my son it took 45 days of waiting! To get the doctor appointment, you need that a German guy call and get you the appointment! Because when my wife called, the secretary said: we don’t speak English! But when my wife went for her visit she figured out they’re speaking English better than her!!! My son has an issue of hyperactivity, so they refused to accept him at school more than 3 hours a day! And he was excluded from the birthday parties of his colleagues aswell other events! Other Ukrainian children, they were just attending classes! Just a show! No body cares how help their integration! About, the taxes! The half of my income was going to the government! The money back?! Only 200 euros/ month for my kid. And nothing else. Nothing! To get a neurologist appointment for my son it was necessary to wait 3 months! Prices?! Everything expensive! Technology?! Not better than Canada at all. Bureaucracy, Canada is much less. Banking system, Canada much better. Where in Germany?! The best province in Germany “Munich”. Where people stoped long ago dreaming to purchase a home. Guys, Canada doesn’t through broken people as we were in camps! Where nothing is human there! Canada doesn’t enter you in cercle of hell bureaucracy just to get your kid into school! And if he needs a support he get it right away without any background that he’s not our!!! I got a good job in Canada; so fast. Without any social connections because simply I do not have any. I rent an apartment for my family, without to proof to the landlord that I’m the best guy in the world with a witnessed county about that!!! I want you to be sure, that I am not the lonely case. Just ask Ukrainians stied in Europe for a while before they move recently. Just ask them. I am not saying it’s a paradise or cons don’t exist. Just paradise doesn’t exist! And cons are everywhere. Just I want you to be fair about Canada. Please, be reasonable! The cons in Canada are not catastrophic, and it’s not difficult to fix them. It may take some time, but not difficult. Believe me it’s not about only Canada. The whole world is going a step back! I wish that my experience, helps to understand appropriately.

I feel like Canada is a lite version of the U.S. \n\nI'm a lifelong U.S. citizen and been to Canada many times. Mostly in Ontario, Nova Scotia and Quebec. \n\nI totally agree Canada is and feels way safer. I've been to some areas of Toronto that are HOOD and I was taken aback. The 6ix is getting a little crazy, I don't know what's happening with the Lake Ontario air over there. Overall though, Toronto is so much safer, cleaner and much more pleasant to be in than in NYC or Chicago (from my experience and I choose those cities because they are usually compared to each other). Montreal has some sketchy areas but some of the sketchy areas of Montreal are comparable to a nice suburban area of the Bronx or Queens. The Zoe's in Montreal can be annoying but overall I never felt I had to be on alert. Again, Canada definitely is a lot safer (to me) and also way cleaner. \n\nAs for the cities, I think overall the urban areas of Canada are a little better with city planning but its not that much different. Other than Some areas of Canada you also need a car or if not, you're assed out. The provinces in Canada are HUGE and you can be driving all day in just one province. And like the U.S. the rail system across the nation isn't too great. Actually, I think the U.S. has a better bus (Greyhound/GhettoHound, Peter Pan, Mega Bus etc) and rail system (Amtrak) then Canada does. Not saying a whole lot but its still better I feel. \n\nWeather. If you're looking for warm weather year round, you will NOT find that in Canada. \n\nI think the U.S. provides more opportunity at the moment and overall, I think there's more to do and see and I believe it or not I think people in the U.S. generally are a little bit friendlier and more full of life. Of course, everything depends on what you're looking for but both are great countries but I find myself wanting to move up north to Canada nowadays but the gun laws are a deterrent for me.

You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Your perceptions are limited by your obvious lack of real knowledge and real experience. Please, if you are going to make such a video, live in Canada, all over Canada for at least 30 years, then comment, please!

as a Canadian of colour, I was a bit nervous about two non-visible minorities talking about racism, but you two were bang on. Good job on the video as a whole! It's very accurate. By the way, I actually haven't lived in Canada myself for about a decade now. Also - my mother was a doctor in her country, but wasn't allowed to practice medicine in Canada for almost her whole career, despite us desperately needing qualified doctors. It's just crazy. So many doctors immigrate to Canada, and yet they're not allowed to practice. They should at least allow doctors who have studied abroad to write a qualifying test to practice medicine so everyone can benefit. But most medical associations are very protective of their professional turf.

We can't even look after the immigrant we have now. There is housing shortage. There are no good paying jobs and rent is through the roof. What workforce he is talking about. I have no intention of leaving but everything you guys said is 100% true. There isn’t enough things to do for recreation here. And the places we do have for recreation are hours away. Niagara Falls, canadas wonderland, great wolf lodge, CNE. They’re all in the boonies and you can only get to them if you have a car but even then they’re expensive and you still need to drive 1-2 hours back home. Unless you live close to these establishments going to these places happens 1-2 times in a whole year. It’s really a shame because even though they’re expensive I really love going to these places. If I can change one thing about my country I’d say we need tons more recreation spots. We really just live to work at this point and it’s not fun.

Immigrants, especially Africans usually stay in megalopoles, these big cities like Paris, New York... But local people tend to move out to the countryside, where things are still more affordable. Why? I listened to your chat. I did not appreciate some of your reasons for why people leave Canada. First of all life is what you make it. There are lots of things to do if you are interested in being active. Canada is a very beautiful country and there are lots of places to visit and enjoy. \nYou need to educate yourself about what people are paid in the US and Canada. The minimum wage is a lot higher in Canada. I suggest that you leave Canada and then you will appreciate what a wonderful country we live in. Go to Trinidad for example and buy groceries ...pay over a thousand dollars a week for food, then tell me that food is too expensive in Canada. (25.00 for a box of cereal)!Go to a hospital there and you will wait for a whole day just to be seen. Yes, we have a shortage of medical doctors and nurses here, but they are trying to fix that. Sure we pay taxes, but if you or someone in your family needs a heart transplant, a knee replacement or whatever, you will get it FREE in the hospital, and while you are in the hospital, your bed will have sheets and pillow cases. Drive your car on the roads in Trinidad and the potholes will ruin your tires, not to mention the frame of the car. Your taxes also maintains parks, roads and bridges for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. The government has no control over the weather, so complaining that it is too cold or rainy is up to mother nature. During the lockdown I am sure you received money from the government to help you, everyone did. Do you think other countries paid their people money to help them get through this crisis?? NO!\nI love Canada, it has been good to me and I never regretted emigrating here 42 years ago. I go traveling to other countries and I see how other people live and I am happy to come home. To me, the problem is threefold. a) Toronto and Ontario in general - and perhaps the whole of Canada - are accepting way more immigrants than they have quality jobs for. If you need taxi drivers and plumbers, maybe this experience should be valued way higher than education as part of the existing immigration programs (which is not the case). At least then potential immigrants know this before they come and get stuck in low-paying or relatively OK-paying but repetitive and demoralizing jobs with debts and mortgages that become a trap preventing them from leaving. It's also partially on immigrants themselves who come to Toronto to only find out there's 100 people competing for one spot and that you need to be exceptional - or connected through your ethnic network - to work regular white-collar jobs. b) The official bipartisan policy of non-integration. The naive expectation that having people live in ethnic enclaves will somehow make the overall culture richer is not what happens: instead, people tend to stick to their own communities and the common culture thus gets eroded and limited to economic and financial matters. This makes some cities feel like one large business with everyone networking 24/7 instead of socializing normally. And arguably, having the right culture / social life is what motivates already successful people move in the first place. So when they come and they find out there's nothing but money talk and hustling, they leave (if they're smart). Quebec is doing better in that regard, but then Quebec is not really Canada and it's been pressured to cave in to the same money-centred, uncultured and disconnected society by the feds for decades now. The States is smarter in that it actually makes sure to integrate its immigrants (and let's be honest, many immigrants like being part of a new culture if it fits them) c) Treating real estate as an investment and not as a basic necessity (as Japan or some Nordic countries do, for example). That coupled with a lot of Asian money being laundered in Canada through immigration channels and private equity firms buying whole apartment blocks for rental purposes has led to the highest housing price increase in all of the developed world in the past 20 years or so. The median price of a condo in Toronto is higher than in New York despite the massive gap in salaries and the fact that New York is one of the most expensive cities in the world to begin with. Some draconian measures are needed here to prevent foreign - or even out-of-province ownership -, second property ownership and corporate ownership for renting purposes.

Like we do not allow kids to wear hijabs at school. Religious speeches are not allowed in schools and secular institution. Yet we have a growing number of mosques (all under strict control of our government) \nSo if kept as a religious community, where people help each other overcome the hardships of life, practice it moderately without pushing to anyone it is possible to have adescent muslims, but in no way it should be in contact with Middle Eastern ideologist that treats Western civilization as an enemy. \nYou guys need to separate british muslims and mosques from Middle Eastern warlords influence. It is a slow process, but it is worth it as it is the only adult way to deal with Islamic fundamentalism. Not by hating on your fellows citizens just because they are muslim.

I have worked my whole life, have children and live in a country that is unaffordable now.. :/ Can some country please take me and my family in and give me a free passport, healthcare, drivers license, job, social assistance/housing (welfare) and everything to set me up. Canadians will have to pay to help house these folks during what will likely be prolonged hotel stays (not just days or a few weeks, but possibly months), it may be better to just help them by paying for a one-way plane ticket back to their original point of origin (or to the nearest safe country to it). From what I heard coming from other source .Also when I see them at food banks taking home more than $150.00 in groceries from just 1 food bank they goto 9 amonth .their cell phones are top of the line .Clothes and shoes brand name only .Gold jewllery ladys purses $300.00 and up .And they all have cars from 40 thousand and up . One place i never see them is value village .How do they do iit ?I had 2 kids and on welfare a few years back and I had a hard time trying to get some things that we badly needed and could not afford and things were a lot cheaper .The most I ever spent at no frills been on assistance was $75.00 for the whole month .6 years ago and no cell phone gold. or cars .So how these people do it ?oh and by the way I go ti no frills once a week .Those same refugees are there every thursday spending $500.00. on goceries and none of them work .Some time neighbours talk and thats how things are know .Our government is a big lier .We the tax payers are paying for all of these Once a refugee of this country one canot be sent back or deported so if this refugee never finds a job you the tax payer and I will pay for his or her assistance and maybe for a life time .like in the case of gypsies refugees they are all on assistance go to all the food banks rob the community of their belongins their cars items from stores donations in front of churches and stores they dress the best also spend hundreds of dollars on food they shop for clothes at the mall and we the tax payer brake our backs 6 days a week 10 hours a day like me and I cant afford even half of what these people can .So even if they become criminals we have to support them .Some refugee law and rights should be changed to ensure that tax payers are not been taking advantage of .

As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.
